Fire!!!!

This book was hot from beginning to end. The character development was on point, and I felt like I was a part of each character (or like I was peeking through a window). I laughed, cried, got angry, and was aroused. Awesome read!!!

I would love to rate higher *SPOILERS*

Let me start by saying, I was a huge fan of Natavia when she first burst on to the literary scene but fell off after a while because her writing became stagnant. I decided to give her another chance because I was bored and honestly, I am slightly disappointed. The good...Dinero and Marie.
The not so good- So much about this story was not even borderline believable that it was a little off putting. From descriptions to dialogue it was just, ummm, something missing. Like have breakfast with no food. I get where she was going but it all seemed rushed and quite frankly forced. It took me too long to finish this short book. Natavia, take a step back and stop letting your fans force you to put out subpar work. Also, nobody ever told Unc about the fling.
Can't think of her name but nobody was looking for the mamas step daughter or whatever?
No updates on Day Day?
Is she wearing the ring from her sisters finger?
The police just stopped looking into what happened?
I could go on and on with the questions.. This story will be forgotten in a couple of months and I hate that for Natavia. She can do so much better!

Natavia never disappoints with her work. The amazing storyline, great characters and humor in the pages are so easy to get lost in. I cannot wait to see what’s next from her.

Big Let Down

This was a waste of time. For the author and the reader. This is my first and last time reading a book by Natavia. It just wasn’t my cup of tea. To begin with. Why is this story taking place in early 2000?

There were so many tropes within this novel that it made my head spin. The whole synopsis was glossed over. The writing in general was remedial. Oftentimes, I wondered if this was a story the writer started earlier in her “career” and just now finished it. In any event there just was alot of tomfoolery going on and I just didn’t see the point. This was a struggle read to finish. How did this book get so many glowing reviews? Has me side eyeing people. This story was all over the place and never really seemed to be fleshed out all the way. God forbid there is a part 2 coming.

Waiting on that spin-off like👀👀👀👀

Bay-be Queen Natavia did her motherfudgesicklestix thang again! This was one crazy a**, dysfunctional a** book, but it kept me hollering laughing from all the shenanigans and sarcasm.
Whew Chil! The shi* Keosha & Budda went through due to their egg donors trifling a** was a lot. Keosha cursed and fussed, but She never stopped doing what needed to be done in order to provide for her and her 4 siblings. She sacrificed so much of her happiness to ensure that they were good. Budda did whatever he could to make cute he survived after his egg donor abandoned him. Budda came back and made sure he got the girl of his dreams. Despite the drama caused by others and a few minor set backs, he made sure to take care of home. He didn't care what came out of his mouth; “Keosha is the one that kept me up all night. Listen bruh, that raw pussy got me weak. Look at me, fam. I have my shirt inside out, I’m freeballing and I have on two different pairs of socks.” Reno was clowning me. “Nigga, what is wrong with you? Keosha made you special spaghetti? What made you fuck her raw? I could’ve sworn you said you ain’t ever fucking a bitch raw,” he said. “I had a moment. That girl is beautiful bruh. She cooks, cleans and does laundry. This morning felt real, like I was coming home to my wife. I was ready to cry like a lil’ bitch when I was in her guts. At this point, I’m ready to buy her a ring and say ‘fuck it’.” “Yo, just go back to sleep. Forget I woke you up because you are talking with your eyes closed,” Reno said. “I changed my mind about not dressing up for the wedding. I want y’all to wear all white.” “You still haven’t told La’Don and Dinero about the wedding,” he replied. “I told them I had a special event at six o’clock and to meet me at the crib. That’s all they need to know. Tell those niggas I’m getting baptized.” “Those niggas ain’t going to believe it,” Reno said. “Dinero still believes in Santa Claus, he’ll believe it.” 💀🤣🤣🤣
Rich and Rayona was some trash a**siblings. Their mind set was so effed up, especially Rich cause that fool was damn near 40 steal waiting pin somebody else to put him on🙄. Rayona was just as hateful as her ho* a**ain't shi*momma when it came to Keosha. Her momma had greet so effed up in the head she really thought Keosha was her enemy. That shi*they pulled with Keosha & Budda was effed up and because of their betrayal they had to go🤷🏽.
I couldn't motherfudgesicklestix stand Shahondaho ho*a**. Like if trifling a**ain't shi* a** egg donor was a person, it'd bye her. That bit** had 5 babies for a government check and ain't do shi*for them babies with it. I really wanted them to put her miserable a** down🤷🏽. She was 🗑
That damn Lena irked my motherfudgesicklestix nerves. Like sis needed a fu**ing hobby or something. I'm all for a ride or die friend, but dayyyuuummm she didn't let Keosha breath. I was so happy That She had gotten her shi*together by the and of the book.
Definitely a must read and I'm so looking forward to the spin-off.

Bravo!!

Bravo! Natavia brought us a hood love story that had me captivated from beginning to end! I felt as though I had a window seat to the lives of these characters! Her writing allowed this story to play out like a movie in my head.

We are introduced to Keosha, a 19 year old who was dealt a bad hand. She has to assume the role as a mother figure to her younger siblings, because their mother is just plain old neglectful and disgusting. Chasing men with money takes precedence over raising her children. Poor Keosha is trying to make ends meet while working at a chicken shack that I wouldn’t send my worst enemy to patron. During one of her shifts she meets the very handsome, but asshole Seyeon. Let’s just say their first few encounters did not go well. As luck would have it, these two end up sharing the same space when their best friends invite them on a double date. Initially, Keosha did not realize that Seyeon was someone of her past, that she wasn’t too fond of.

Seyeon is presented with a Will from his deceased father’s estate, with some veeeery interesting conditions. He presents to Keosha an offer that she can’t refuse. I loved me some Keosha! She was so strong and resilient! Despite the environment she grew up in and the example her mother set, she remained true to her self and had a strong moral ground. While I loved me some Kee, Seyeon won me over. Being abandoned and left to fend for himself, he had to learn to survive by any means necessary. But beyond that street persona lies a pretty solid man. I loved that through the development of their relationship, it wasn’t filled with the typical drama. The males in this story were my favorites! Their dialogue had me cracking up! Dinero definitely stole the show! I loved the depiction of Brotherhood. This story teaches us that blood relation, doesn’t necessarily make them family. This book was filled with drama, twists, and turns…it keeps you on your toes! These characters definitely went through some shit!! The character development, storyline, and writing were all on point! I was definitely left wanting more! I’m looking forward to a possible spin off! 🤞🏾

It was okay.

(This is just my opinion as a reader... please take no offense... I'm not trying to trash talk you... just reviewing what I read.)

This book was okay but that was about it. I don't know how to quite describe it by I'll try. Nothing about the leading male screamed boss or that he was the HNIC. There were quite a bit of characters in this story but some of it just seemed like page fillers. In the beginning Rich was "Like an Uncle" to Kee. The next time she sees him in public she acts like he's a stranger. The parts with girlfriends, except Leonna, was so unnecessary. Like it added nothing to the book to read about them. Talley whole existence was just extra. Adding him to the mix done nothing but create useless page filled drama... he added nothing valuable to the story. The uncles maid and care taker.... still confused about that. Was he seeing both of them? He shared a room with one but the other kissed him. The friends in the story were weak... all the way around. It was just a lot going on. Now... to give the author her flowers.. it was an enjoyable read even with all of that going on. There were not many grammar issues. I literally laughed out loud with the mishap with the wheelchair. And just Kudos to you in general for writing the story.

Awww 😊!!!! This was so bomb 💣

This was the bomb 💣….
Every time I get a book from MS. Natavia, I know I am going to enjoy it to the fullest. She stays writing the best hood stories ever and this did not disappoint. I just wish we had more because Seyeon mentioned this IVF and I am confused? I mean what happened to Kee? She can’t do it naturally?
In any case this was a funny, loving, loyal story between a boy who had a crush on someone since he was little and now he could do something about it and a girl, Keyosha who had the world on her shoulder until her knight came and rescued her. Fairytale at its best with real life issues and problems.
It was perfect and very well written. Little to no grammatical errors and the plot was great. Lena, LaDon, Dinero, Reno and then Carisha were so great and inspiring. Everyone else got exactly what they deserved especially Rayona.
Can’t wait to read the extras….. Hurry up please!!!!

Violent, Funny and Full of Love!

Say and Kee are the dysfunctional couple goals for hood lovers. They were striving to do better than their parents did with them. Say always yearned for Kee but his crazy life took him away for several years. Kee just lived a sacrificial experience. The life choices she was forced to make were disgusting because of a negligent mother and absent father. The book is entertaining, action packed and there is a clear plot with twists and laughter to boot. Read this book. You’ll enjoy it. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself looking forward to another dysfunctional spinoff. Lena and Reno would be nice or Dinero possible getting a penis implant surgery to boss up his confidence.

LOVE HER BOOKS

This was so good book. I love how it wasn’t all that back-and-forth with arguing and fighting and cheating it was a good book about love and being faithful and committed to somebody you love and doing anything to make that person. Happy Keosha got a happy ending. I’m happy she had loyal friends around her. The quicker I read the story I swear I thought she wasn’t going to get a happy ending. It’s sad that in life when you see a person win you think eventually they’ll lose. But I’m happy that wasn’t the case. You guys should read it Natavia never leaves me disappointed.

bravo!!!!!!!

Job well done!! Did someone summon the old Natavia?! This book gave me straight VIBES! From the beginning to the end, this book was IT! I love Keosha and how she wasn’t weak! I also loved Lena’s sense of humor and their bond. Seyeon was the truth!!!! He reminded me of Trayon from Damages. Dinero, Reno and LaDon was straight clowns!!! When Dinero shared his “secret” I almost died!!!! I can not!!!!!

Overall, Natavia, you knew the assignment. I haven’t laughed in such a long time. I’m so happy you blessed us with another hit and I’m praying you continue to beat all odds! I’m a loyal reader and you never disappoint! 5 stars and a job well done!!!

First time reading Ms. Batavia’s books

Wow, Ms. Natavia is definitely talented. The storyline was interesting. I did have to constantly remind myself that Keosha and Lena were very young. Baby, those two definitely worked my nerves. Keosha was just gullible and believed everything everyone told her. Then Lena was just too much. For her to have had her mother in her life, she should not have turned out so ratchet. I hope these two show some growth in the Spin-off. Buddha was book bae. I liked the fact that he was loyal. The dialogue between the characters was funny as hell. I laughed out loud several times while reading the book. It was quite enjoyable.

Real young love

Once again, it’s Another one !! This book was very good I cannot wait for the spinoff. I’m happy for Keoyna and budda They were united on business first but realize it was love all along from when they were children. It was so many haters in a circle. But they had a few close friends I love them and care for them. Lena is one hell of a best friend. You need a best friend like that that’s gonna have your back no matter what through the good the bad and the ugly. This book was good all the way through from the first page to the last page I can’t wait to read the spinoff thank you Nativia..

Not Natavia’s best book but enjoyable.

I always enjoy Natavia’s books. This story was just okay. I loved how they pretended each other’s past were books they were reading. Kee was childish.

There are some grammatical errors. Although I appreciate attention to detail, some things are self explanatory. Rich’s father’s mother’s house could just be Rich’s grandmother’s house. Maybe instead of putting “2 hours later” in the text, it could just be apart of the story. For instance, “A few hours later, Budda walked into the penthouse” or “Later on,….” It would make the story flow better.

OM, G!!!

Ms. Natavia, keep it up! “My G” was excellent! Seyeon was hard as nails when it came to that street life, and life in general. He practically raised himself until his uncle Dymon found him. And he had loved Keosha since they were children. Keosha’s family was as dysfunctional as they came. Her selfish mother used her to support the family financially, using emotional blackmail because Keosha was devoted to her baby sisters. When Seyeon comes back from California after along absence, his feelings for Kee are the same. Under the guise of a fake marriage for Seyeon’s inheritance from his father, the two are joined in holy matrimony. What God has joined together…

I loved this book 🔥

I love all of Natavia’s books so this one is no different. I read this whole book in one day with no breaks because I was thoroughly entertained. Seyeon was booked, bae, for sure. I was not too fond of Keosha's sister Reyona because she was very jealous and sad. Their mother was no different at all; putting a man before her kids is a shame. I liked Lena as well. She rode for Keosha. I can’t wait to read more from Natavia. Check out this standalone you won’t regret it

Awesome read!

I absolutely loved this book. The storyline was quite interesting, the book was well written and it definitely kept my attention. Seyeon and his friends were hilarious at times, but they were for each other 100%. Seyeon did not play when it came to Keosha and their relationship was so refreshing. Keosha’s mom was trash, and her sister got just what she deserved. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes to read great stories and I cannot wait until Natavia’s spin-off to this book.

Another Banger!!

Natavia never fails to step outside the box with her story lines. My G is a very entertaining read! Packed with comedy, drama and moments that pull at your heart strings. I love Seyeon and Kee’s relationship they have that real young love. Though its not perfect they make it work. Lena is aight but at times she’s messy. I absolutely loved the fellas, especially Dinero 😂😂😂. Kee’s relatives were a hot mess. Love stories aren’t always perfect but it can come close when you messin’ with a real G.

Awesome 👌 👏 👍 😍

If I had to describe how i feel about this book and every other book by author natavia it would be that they are so good to the point where i prolong the process of finishing the book because I don't want it to end its like when you were young and had candy for the first time and you take the tiniest bits stealing from yourself because it's that good and you know once its done it's done and all you want is more lol she is a beast and I absolutely love her work...

Of course its 🔥🔥🔥

I say it all the time... There's nothing like a Natavia read!! I loved me some Keosha and Seyeon! He didn't play about his lady whatsoever and I loved every second of it. I felt so bad for Keosha because her family was just trash! That Keyona was plain evil, and that bad behind Day Day is going to get a rude awakening one day! Lena was pure comedy and down for whatever when it came to Kee! That extra old heifer Ivy was a delusional bird. I really enjoyed this story, wish there was a continuation, I would've loved to see Lena finally calm it on down!

page turner

I wish I had read this one sooner. I was in a reading slump. This one was a good marriage of convenience but it didn’t start that way. Seveyon came back to the city to take over but ended up seeing his crush from when they were kids. Keosha and Sey story unfolding was filled with drama, trauma, and violence. This was a good read and a good time. I also enjoyed the friend group. They keep me laughing and they didn’t take over the story which I hate when an author does that as a filler in the book. Worth reading!

Another 5 star read

I loved this story. Marriage of convenience is literally one of my favorite tropes. I love how one kind act from Key as a child would have such a positive influence on her life. I was feeling so bad for Key in the beginning. Her family was straight trash. Sey came in and upgraded her whole life. They were so cute together. The whole friend group was hilarious. This story had me smiling the whole time I was reading. I can’t wait for the spin-off.

Natavia did her thing

This book was everything. Ever time she drops a book it’s a banger and she never disappoints. I read this book in one day it was so good I couldn’t put it down I had to finish it. I loved the story line. Sharhonda was a mess I was low key wishing she’s got what she deserved. She really was a sorry excuse for a mother. I can’t wait to read the spin off. If I could give this book 10 stars I would it’s just that good.

It was e everything!

Natavia books are also fire and on point. Even with it being set in 2006 it is never missed a beat. Her books always let me escape. I love how she brings attention real insecurities people have. Dinero and Lena were hillarous. Budda is bae. Also her leading females are strong and know their worth. I really wanted Day-Day to go with Budda . Lil Peep just using him. He was just a kid. Hope he turns it around. This book was so good . I can't wait til 2022.

Another hit by The Great Natavia!!!

I love the connection that Budda & Keosha have. The way that he loves her and willingness to do anything to keep her smiling and happy is priceless. Although they have mommy issues in common, they allow that to give them strength instead of it being a hindrance. They both had good people in their corner to see them through. I really enjoyed this book and it had my emotions all over the place.
