I've been looking forward to Laric's story ever since I met him in book one. After finding out he was Lynn's son, I needed to know what was next for them. Was there anything to forgive? Would they forge a path forward as father and son? Would I finally learn why he didn't know about Lynn, yet Lynn knew about him? And knowing Lynn, just how far was his reach into his son's life?
Inmate of the Month gave me answers and a whole lot more. There was so much love here!

☑ a suspenseful plot that proved to be more hilarious than scary

Instalove is great when it works and LLV definitely made it work. Laric and Catori were amazing together. I loved their shared humor, their chemistry, and how deep their feelings ran for each other. This story was easy to love, from its characters to its plot to the sweet and funny happily ever after.

This book starts off with fast paced action that definitely hooked me. Catori is one of my favorite types of heroines. She’s unfiltered, unbothered, and she stands up for what she believes in. Laric is that broody silent type with a chip on his shoulder so when I found out his link to Lynn, I definitely wanted to know more.
Though some of their chemistry is proximity/situational I think that they definitely get to build upon it. Nothing like crazy people to being a couple together 😂 The plot was interesting and the overall pace was well executed.
This was another great addition to the series. Can’t wait to see what Bruno gets up to.

I am so glad we finally got to Laric's story. Honestly with the whole surprise daddy thing he has been a character I've been dying to get to know better. Add in his work with ex military dogs and I just knew I would love him. Because even though he was a little bit broken he was a beautiful person with a great heart. Plus the blurb for this book just screamed sexy.
Catori is obviously one of those people I would know if I'd ever gotten around to reading all the earlier Lani Lynn Vale books on my TBR. Along with her parents and brother, but alas I haven't gotten there yet. That said, she was awesome. I loved that she was so filter impaired and unable to lie. It had me laughing out loud a few times at her word vomit.
The drama started fast and hard in this story and I couldn't put it down while I was waiting to see how it was all going to play out. And it didn't disappoint. The only bad thing about each of these books is how quickly we are approaching the end of the series. And dread it almost as much as I anticipate it.

Lani did it again. She gave me a book I feel absolutely head over heels in love with.
I just love Catori she was kick ass and very funny. Laric was amazing. I just loved how his relationship with his father and how it grows.
I also loved having charterers from other books come back but older and it being that there kids are now falling in love.
I can't wait to read the last book in the series and starting what ever new series the future holds.

Inmate of the Month continues the Souls Chapel series and I fall more in love each time! Laric and Catori's story just stole my heart!
Catori is so weird but I kind of love it. I also LOVE that she stood up to Zach! The drama/action starts almost right away in the books and it is bananas! Both Catori and Laric have insane exes that cause all kinds of issues. This is a bit of a forced proximity and I really loved that aspect. Plus, you get all the other members of the MC and their women together and you have such humor and good times. Also, you add in Catori's family, and you get even more fun times.
There is plenty of danger for Catori, but there is also a continuation of the mission of the MC and they take down another child abductor. Overall, Inmate of the Month was a quick read and I loved each minute of it! I am super excited for Bruno's book, but also sad this series will end because it is a favorite of mine for sure.

4 'Love You Too' Stars
Well, well, well... Laric and Catori sure gave us an unforgettable one! Yep, Ms. Vale indeed gave us another unputdownable love story! A romance fully packed with the most enticing action, steamy and sexy times and plenty of LOL moments. Laric, my most anticipated of the Soul Chapel Revenants, in all his broken hero glory, more than lived up to my expectations. Pure kickass characters - even some of my old favorites! -, addictive story and scorching passion, that's how I describe the Inmate of The Month, another LLV winner. <3 <3 <3 <3

I’ve been looking forward to Laric’s book since he was in one of the Swat 2.0 books. And I have always been intrigued by Catori because her parents books were one of my favorites.
I was very into the book at the beginning but as it progressed… I don’t know it kind of… fell flat? Got boring? It was just missing something. There was chemistry between Laric and Catori but… it was just lacking something. Maybe not enough romance throughout the book? I only really felt their chemistry at the beginning and ending of the book. The middle…. Was too chaotic with all of the extra stuff going on.
I felt like Lani also missed the opportunity to do something epic with Laric's and Lynn’s relationship. Instead she decided to throw Laric’s biological mother into the mix and add it to the kidnapping girls storyline. Which her age didn't make sense by the way. How is Laric 34 and his mother is 41??
I feel like a lot of LLV characters are very similar/being recycled. They all kind of have the same personality. Alpha male and … I don’t even know how to describe the heroine. I guess just weird in a unique way. But as much I love these personalities, I wish there was something new and more exciting rather than the same similar traits.
Again, I’m a bit shocked Catori and Zach didn’t know each other from all of the mutual people they knew.
And am I wrong or was it mentioned that Catori was a botanist in her brother’s book? Did she change careers? Also, do we know what Laric’s last name was before he changed it to Lynn’s? And so there are 3 babies named after Jack now? Tai’s, Adam’s and now Catori’s?
I also just remembered that it was mentioned a few times that he was colorblind. I thought Lani was going to include an epic scenario where he needed to be able to distinguish colors or something and they were going to find out he couldn't see the colors green and red but it was never really mentioned again after Six told him his cup of tea was on the counter.
I love Lani's book but I feel like this series just didn't give me the same epic feels as all of her older books has given me. Regardless, I'm still excited to read Belle's and Bruno's book next.

I don't want to reveal too much on this one but in a brief description, Catori is introduced to Laric when helping Zakalena from the previous book. Something happens that has Catori needing protection and Laric steps in. Laric is gruff but with Catori he shows a different side. Lots of fan favorites are in this one.
You had me at Laric, between Repeat Offender and Inmate of the Month I am not sure which one is my absolute favorite. I have wanted Laric's story since he was introduced in the first book and his story was beyond what I expected. I loved that he was with Catori and even though he does not think he is the right man for her, he is by her side from the get go. They have a phenomenal chemistry. Exceptional.

The h was the daughter of my favorite couple of Freebirds series. Glad to get a glimpse of them, although that was so little.
We got the villain's identity from the beginning, thanks to him, H and h got closer. Then the story began.
Although Zach was not the hero of this book, he was so unlikable. I liked him better in previous books.

J'étais censée faire durer ce livre un peu plus longtemps mais hier, j'avais du mal à dormir donc je l'ai fini vers 2h30 du matin ><
ET JE NE REGRETTE RIEN !!
(enfin sauf le réveil ce matin ><)
J'avoue, j'attendais avec impatience l'histoire de Laric qui m'a beaucoup intriguée dès le départ (son passé un peu mystérieux mais aussi l'identité de son père !!) et quand j'ai vu qu'il allait finir avec Catori (dont les parents sont Jack et Winter de Last Day of My Life !!), j'avais hyper hâte !!
Leur histoire d'amour commence dans le drama le plus total (fusillade dès le début, j'adore =D) et j'ai adoré la façon dont ils se complètent malgré leurs différences (Catori m'a beaucoup fait rire, notamment son incapacité à mentir xD C'était trop mignon !!)
Je crois que c'est ça le plus surprenant dans cette série de livre, jle fait que la couverture semble crier "romance érotique" et oui c'est le cas mais en même temps il y a un côté super mignon et amusant qui leur donne un style unique (coup de cœur pour la scène du mariage à la fin x)) (petit coup de cœur pour le chien de Laric <3)
L'intrigue était un peu légère encore une fois : j'aurais souhaité qu'elle soit plus développée, j'ai trouvé la conclusion avec l'enlèvement de la petite fille un peu trop facile et l'histoire du stalker de Catori un peu irréaliste (déjà parce que je ne vois pas comment Catori ou ses parents ont pu laisser la situation arriver à ce stade et surtout comment il a fait pour disparaitre aussi bien alors qu'ils avaient Jack, Winter et Hunt à ses trousses et enfin l'espèce de fusillade dans l'hopital !) sans parler du drama avec l'ex de Laric qui avait du potentiel ...
Bref, une lecture sexy et amusante à lire sans modération =)

AND I REGRET NOTHING !!
(well except the alarm clock this morning ><)
I have to admit, I was impatiently awaiting Laric's story which intrigued me a lot from the start (his somewhat mysterious past but also the identity of his father !!) and when I saw that he was going to be with Catori (whose parents are Jack and Winter from Last Day of My Life !!), I couldn't wait !!
Their love story begins in the most total drama (shooting from the start, I love it =D) and I loved the way they complemented each other despite their differences (Catori made me laugh a lot, especially her inability to lie xD It was so cute !!)
I think that's the most surprising thing about this series of books, the fact that the cover seems to scream "erotic romance" and yes it does but at the same time there is a super cute and fun side to them that gives them a unique style (LOVE the wedding scene at the end x)) (little soft spot for Laric's dog <3)
The plot was a little light again : I would have liked it to be more developed, I found the conclusion with the kidnapping of the little girl a little too easy and the story of Catori's stalker a little unrealistic (already because I don't see how Catori or her parents could have let the situation get to this stage and especially how he managed to disappear so well when they had Jack, Winter and Hunt on his heels and finally the sort of shooting in the hospital !) not to mention the drama with Laric's ex who had so much potential ...
In short, a sexy and fun read to read without moderation =)

Oh I was so excited to see where Laric and Catori's story would lead us. I mean he's quite the enigma, like father like son huh. But seriously... I was all kinds of curious.
Let's just say I was beyond satisfied with my findings.
Laric stole my heart. A little broken but alot of love to give he from the get go just proved how a man is supposed to love his woman. Even when she wasn't his. His constant support, his overprotective alpha behaviour... his sweet loving. I swear it all made for a lovable rouge I could not get enough of.
Catori, oh sweet woman she pulled it out the bag. I mean from the first page she had me cracking up with her hilarious shenanigans. I loved her loose lips and fiesty attitude. I respected her strength, even in the face of crazy danger and overbearing alpha men. She was a worldie through and through.. honest to a fault, witty, smart and gorgeous. A well rounded character with so much to give.
These were legit made for eachother. I don't just mean because they had crazy chemistry either... but they always just seemed to be on the same page and get eachother. There was no drama or crazy fights. It was like they just fit and took the world by storm together as I'd that was the way it's always been. Oh and of course they had crazy chemistry and an intense connection that could be felt through the pages.
In very lani fashion she brings us a story with great multidimensional characters that just bring so much personality to the pages. She graces us with old and much loved faces making us reminis on the past. She introduces us to new and exciting characters with endless future possibilities. She made me feel every emotion, hang on to every word and live life through the pages like I was seeing it before my eyes. It was a turbulent rollercoaster chock full of emotion but what a ride it was. I laughed, I cried and I ranted and raved like a looney. I felt everything and when it was done I wanted to start all over again. I feel like this one just flew by before I was ready for it to be over and I was so sad to say goodbye.
So I did what any sane reader does... I reread it.
Ahhh. I loved them. I loved this.. now!!!. I need the next book like ASAP.

What happens when you throw a loaner and a people person together. Magic!!
I’ve been excited for this book from the very first interaction with Laric way back when. This book starts out with crazy right off the bat.
Catori is a outspoken independent woman. It’s practically love at first sight between these
two.
I was so in love with Laric that it was downright crazy how short of an amount of time it took for a person to become the center of one’s world.
Let me tell you this series just gets better with every new story.
I raised a brow at him. “You knew the moment you first laid eyes on Six that you wanted her. I know what I feel, just like you know what you felt. Trust me when I say that I’ll not do anything hastily, but I definitely think I’m going to go all the way with this one.”

I’ve been excited for this book from the very first interaction with Laric way back when. This book starts out with crazy right off the bat.
Catori is a outspoken independent woman. It’s practically love at first sight between these
two.
I was so in love with Laric that it was downright crazy how short of an amount of time it took for a person to become the center of one’s world.
Let me tell you this series just gets better with every new story.
I raised a brow at him. “You knew the moment you first laid eyes on Six that you wanted her. I know what I feel, just like you know what you felt. Trust me when I say that I’ll not do anything hastily, but I definitely think I’m going to go all the way with this one.”

I always love opening one of this authors books. It always gives me such a happy feeling 😊 Like I can’t wait to start but also know it will be over before you know it.

When he meets Catori at his friends house when she came to do therapy with their daughter he thought she was beautiful. And then everything went to hell, lol
Catori met a guy and she knew from the start they weren’t meant to be. But her friend liked his brother and so she kept dating him till it became too much. And now lo and behold this guy tried to kill her. And this is how Laric gets integrated into her life. He saved her life. Now she is staying in house and she can’t help her attraction to him.
This was another good read for me. I loved Catori as her parents were in one of Lani’s previous books, so you know she was going to be a cool one. Laric was a dark horse you didn’t know much about him, except that he trained dogs that was traumatized and he was related to one of the previous heroes 😊 I loved him he was the dark, broody alpha male. And we get to see the rest of the Souls Chapter as well as an appearance from a certain Texas Ranger and one of the Free guys… I’m so excited to read Bruno’s story… I can’t wait 😊❤❤

The first time Catori met Laric was through a laptop screen, she found his porn video and was enchanted. The second time or first in real life was a mess! She had a stalker that followed her to work and went nuts against her. That’s when Laric start to prove his worth. He protect her with all his worth, even when he didn’t know he that well, he was there and through the story he just proved how a man should love a woman.
If you find a pic of a perfect couple, you’d find their photo attached. They were so opposite, yet so intrinsically perfect for each other. I loved Catori, she made me laugh from the get go and had zero filter. She tells to your face what she’s thinking and how feisty and strong she was. At the other side, Laric had already been burned by a woman in the past, but little by little he opened his heart and accepted all the love from her. I was so supportive of her and would anything to make her happy, but also was super alpha and over protective of her and the ones he loves.
The couple suddenly became a powerhouse, they would understand each other feelings and thinking, and would everyone who mean harm. They had chemistry for ages and is a couple who will stay for the long haul.
There’s a lot of cameos from the other couples and it made my heart warm with how they all accept Catori as their own so easily. I have a huge crush on all the guys in the MC, if I could I’d marry them all, like an extremely amazing reverse harem of my own. Yes, that’s it! Only one book left in this series and I already miss them all!

Okay wow Inmate of the month was everything and more that I was hoping for , I couldn't wait to get Larics story since his appearance in book one of the Souls Chapel Revenants loved everything about this story . I would recommend that you read this series in order you will run into some spoilers that happened in the previous story and also some from the first story . I was happy to see that Catori was Larics love interest she is the daughter of one of my favorite couple their story is Last day of my life it's part of the freebird series highly recommend those books and she's the sister of the hero in Any day now which is part of the swat generation 2.0 series . This book held my attention from start to finish I did feel like the end was a bit rushed but over all this was a really incredible book that made me cry a couple times and fall in love with the characters , not only was this amazing because of the love story but also the humor I alway laugh when reading this authors books they are a really good pick me up when having a bad day . Laric was an awesome character he's the perfect don't judge a book by the cover he's really incredible with the animals he takes care of and the way he is with his families babies just makes me swoon . Catori has got to be one of my favorite heroines she has no filter what so ever and she's just perfect for the hero I really liked the scenes with her family , with her best friend and mostly with the hero they had off the charts chemistry . I can't wait to read book eight the hero for that is one I've also been waiting for since the first book . If you are new to Lani Lynn Vale I highly recommend that you read her books you won't regret going down that rabbit hole .

From the moment that Laric sees Catori, he feels something. When he saves her life and then offers her sanctuary from her loose cannon of an ex, his outlook on love and life changes.
”I had no clue that the smell of a person could make me feel at ‘home’ but Laric definitely made me feel that.”
When Catori first lays eyes on Laric, she recognises him instantly….because he was the star of a porn video that she recently watched. She’s immediately attracted to him and it only grows when he saves her life and then finds herself living at very close quarters with him.
This was another adorable, hot read from this author. I loved the fast fall into love and the sizzling chemistry between Laric and Catori. I loved Catori’s close relationship with her family and I loved her candor and directness. Laric was a hot alpha and I loved that he knew what he wanted. From not knowing what true love was to knowing that Catori was it for him. Loved it!

Inmate of the Month is Book 7 in the Souls Chapel series by Lani Lynn Vale. This is Laric and Catori's story. If Catori sounds familiar to LLV readers, it is because we met Catori back in the Freebirds series. She is Jack and Winter's daughter. I adored Laric and Catori together. They both have issues and together they fit perfectly together. The book starts off and lets the reader know that this book is gonna be crazy...crazy good, that is. The chemistry that sizzles between Laric and Catori jumps off the pages, that's how good it is. The plot was really great, the characters are as always amazing and the drama, angst, action, excitement, suspense, intrigue, passion, and HEA was 100% fantastic!!! Looking forward to the next book in this series.

I really liked how Catori met Laric, because honestly the crazy stuff that happens in these books, why not this way. It really set things up for them to be brutally honest with each other, despite both of them being that way anyway. I did like that Laric was a bit smitten with Catori from the start and had the smarts and skills to do what needed to be done at the start.
Once Catori was at Laric's house the two of them were cute together. I liked how they talked about everything and how Laric's job didn't scare Catori away. She grew up with men that were similar, so it wasn't anything off to her.
I really liked how this one ended, loved that we got to see Catori and Laric living their lives happy in only the way they could.

Reading the latest Soul Chapel Revenants MC has left me wanting more. Laric and Catori definitely had a world wind romance (sort of) having crazy exes in the mix could be a turn off for some, but these two just went with the flow even when their guts are telling them its too soon. With family and friends on their side of course they would make it. Inmate Of The Month is a fun quirky read that has you smiling and laughing, author Lani Lynn Vale did amazingly well on this one. Loved seeing Catori get a book. When she was born, alll those books ago, my heart broke with for her losing her womb companion and twin. I always wondered how Lani would spin that and she did great. She added it in Suddenly to the storyline line on how it impacted her and I loved it. Then add in Laric. Oh man I have loved him for so long. Since we first saw him in a different series. He was a great lead and alpha all the way. I will say that I really wish we had gotten to see him do his job. It didn’t make the story bad, I just loved what he did for dogs and wanted to see more of that for my own selfish reasons. Either way, this book was great. So many amazing characters, great storyline and great banter. I am sad this series is almost over but I can’t wait for Bruno to get his happy ending with Belle! 4 stars #2OCCJD

Jack and Winter are one of my top all time favs of LLV so when I found out the mysterious Laric was going to be with Catori I was all kinds of excited. And their story did not disappoint. That first meeting of the two was EPIC and intense. Their story had it all from action to steam! All my favs when it comes to a really great story. Catori and Laric are amazing together and to top it all off Igor to see my fav Jack and Winter!!! This one so far is my fav of Souls Chapel!

Y’all keep your arms and legs inside the ride at all times!! This book starts off with all of the emotions & action (not that action, but.. not *not*)
I love how Lani brings us back to previous generations without shoving it down your throat, or being necessary previous reads!!

Not sure about Inmate of the Month, more like Inmate of the Year. Laric has had me from the start of this series, this man with a slightly broken soul has a heart of gold. The moment Catori and Laric’s eyes meet you can feel the chemistry that sparks between them. These two not only stole my heart but had me laughing with the witty banter. There was drama and nail biting moments to have you gripped to the story. The sexual tension between them radiates off the pages like a storm rolling in. It was emotional, heartfelt, hilarious and steamy. There was a visit from a few old favourites that has you reminiscing about past stories and leaves you smiling. Another amazing addition to this series that just keeps getting better and better. Can I say the epilogues in this story are like the icing on an already beautiful cake.

I can’t help it. I love LLV stories the only part that is difficult is remembering who is who when they refer to their parents and siblings. In this case the heroines parents are maybe from the Freebirds series? I haven’t read a lot of those ones. I just loved Laric and his cabin in the woods! It was a fun read.🙃

Sadly, that's not the only thing wrong in his life. His world is messed up, and he likes it that way. There's no room for a woman that wants to fix him. Because fixing requires intimacy and intimacy isn't something that Laric does. Not after the life that he's lived, and the things he's done to survive. Oh, and let's not forget the fact that he's a felon, and he has no regrets about how he got that title. The last thing he needs in his life is a woman that has her head in the clouds and thinks this world is made of butterflies and confetti. However, Catori isn't who she seems. After all the guy is a little broken but he sure has one heck of a heart on him but he never wants anyone to ever see that. There is a lot going on in this book that will keep you entertained and have you laughing out loud one minute and at times your heart in your throat. It is full of twists and turns but it also is about love and the fight for that love. I loved seeing character's from the previous book in this one too. I always love seeing some of my favorites in the following books. I really loved this book and the story that it told. You need to get it right now and experience you some Lani Lynn Vale Magic.
