Small-town boss lady Oumou isn’t interested in international playboy princes, although her best friend is dating one. She’ll happily settle for the frog—or rather the local mechanic, Yahya. But it’s never going to happen because he’s family and out of bounds. That’s until they’re stuck together as quarantine buddies, and their attraction combusts in the confines of the apartment. Soon the man so skilled at unscrewing her wheel-nut becomes the sexy hunk satisfying her every fantasy. But what happens when reality kicks in the door?
As a lover of romance novels, Kiru wanted to read stories about Africans falling in love. When she couldn’t find those books, she decided to write the stories she wanted to read.
Kiru writes sensual stories featuring African characters whether on the continent or in the Diaspora. When she's not writing you can find her either immersed in a good book or catching up with friends and family. She currently lives in the South of England with her husband and three children.

Short, sweet and sexy. A lovely opposites attract romance. Lovely chemistry between Yahya and Oumou. A quiet mechanic hero and a social media loving heroine. They were friends and then became lovers during lockdown of the pandemic. It was a lovely lovely read. I wish it was longer though 🥲 Kiru did good with this one ❤️
This book was hot! Yahya was an introverted, reserved, hard working hero who is also sexy and passionate. I loved him immediately. Oumou is independent and fierce. They were opposites in many ways, but fit together well as a couple.
It was great encountering some members from the Royal House of Saene series.
So happy to finally read the conclusion of this story.
Compromise is everything in a relationship; especially between two people as opposite as Yahya and Oumuo.
I loved that they were able to set aside their differences and see what was most important. Making their love work despite what the future held was the only way to go for the both of them.
This spinoff is the icing on the cake to the Royal House of Saene series ♥️ Kudos Kiru.
