A Wedding at O’Mara’s: The Guesthouse on the Green Book 6 is by Michelle Vernal. This book continues the antics of the O’Mara family as they get ready for Aisling’s wedding to Quinn. The author has the reader wondering if the wedding will actually take place.
Aisling O’Mara runs the inn that she and her Mother and sisters own. Roisin and her husband and son, Noah, live in London and because of that have little to do with the inn. Patrick, the only son, is in America. Moira and Maureen do what they can to help in the inn. Their Mother, called Mammy, lives in the inn and creates havoc wherever she lands. She provides most of the humor in the book.
Aisling is marrying Quinn, the owner of a nearby restaurant. Although they will live in the inn after the marriage, he wants to purchase some rental property. Aisling can’t see why he needs to do it right now instead of working on the wedding. Even with her friend Laila’s help, Aisling is being pulled in many directions to get it planned. After her first fiancée called off the wedding, she was determined this one would be better and have nothing in common with the first. Quinn wants a smaller and quieter wedding but keeps quiet to keep Aisling calmer. As she is pulled deeper into the details of the wedding, they get bigger and bigger. It is all Laila can do to try to reign her in. Then comes the bachelorette party- a trip around Dublin visiting pubs all night. Luckily, they are driven in a limo. All of the girls, except Moira, and their friends and Mammy get rip roaring drunk as they party harty. When Aisling wakes up the next morning, she has to face Quinn about spending so much money on the wedding.
As in all of the novels about the O’Mara’s, the humor outweights the serious parts. Between the four girls, their friends and employees, and Mammy with her interesting friends, you never know what direction the book will take you in. They are just fun to read.

If you need a dose of fun The Guesthouse on the Green will deliver
From the moment I read the first book I knew I was on to something good. Not just good but great. Every single book in the series is a joy. Maureen and her daughters will make you cry and laugh out loud. Everyone knows that when I'm reading and laughing odds are Michelle Vernal caused it. I'd love to have them in my life. Since I can't have that I'd be happy to have Michelle! She colors my life with joy.

Another book in the Guesthouse on the Green series about O'Mara's. Aisling is getting married to Quinn, who owns a nice restaurant nearby. She is turning into Bridezilla to her family and friends. She is very stressed out, and finds herself spending her entire bank account on her dress and ensemble, honeymoon and other items without confiding in her fiance. Having the perfect wedding has become an obsession. Her close friend, Leila, is her wedding planner. Mammy has invited relatives from far and wide, despite an old family feud. The hen night is a challenge as well. Many shots were drunk. It was a fun and light read. I know I will be continuing the series.

A wedding at O,Mara,a was everything and more . I have laughed my way through this instalment of the O,Mara clan , to be honest with you I have had a good laugh at all of these lovely books. It was great to be able to picture myself walking around St Stephens green and down Grafton St and over the halfpenny bridge and on into the city centre. Anyway I can't wait until the next instalment. Thank you for helping to keep me sane at this difficult time. God bless and please stay safe xxx

I just can't get enough of this series. The characters are hilarious really laugh out loud! Maureen as the bossy Mammy, the girls Roisin, Aisling and Moira are so different and Patrick in the US so full of himself!. There are ups and downs along the way but then Uncle Cormac appears and everything is just grand!
I cant wait for No7. Please write more Michelle.

Cozy fun series

I think I have come to the end of my reading in this series. I enjoy the patois and the family, but it is too repetitious. Two thoughts about this book: Keep it simple, stupid. Uncle Cormac was right. Noreen: You knew what she was when you picked her up. Good Luck!

Wonderful read!!!!!
Oh my gosh!!! I could not put it down, it was so good! I have never laughed so much either. This is a great group of books and you need to sit down with a good cup of tea and a scone and read away!! You won't be sorry!!!

i didn't think Aisling's behaviour planning the wedding did not jive with her character as the steady and serious manager of the Guesthouse.
