'Todo se desvaneció y ella se perdió en sus profundos ojos verdes. El mundo pareció inclinarse sobre su eje, y de repente se encontró en medio de todo. Aquí estaba. Este extraño era ahora parte de su mundo. Mío.

Argumento:
El trauma cerró su corazón. La tradición lo obligó a rebelarse. El amor puede cambiarlo todo.
En menos de un día, el mundo entero de Ariadne cambió. Al crecer en la pobreza en el distrito Terce de Phaenon, nunca esperó poder obtener un lugar codiciado en la Academia en la División Médica, pero lo hizo. Es un sueño hecho realidad, uno que le permite construir un futuro mejor para ella y su familia.
Estudiar para convertirse en médico es bastante difícil, pero su mundo se ve sumido en el caos cuando conoce a su alma gemela. La experiencia le dice que no se puede confiar en hombres como Peleo, incluso si son innegablemente irresistibles.
Peleus lo tiene todo: hoyuelos que hacen que las mujeres se desmayen, fascinantes ojos verdes y una enorme riqueza. Al parecer, no tiene problemas en el mundo. Mí humilde opinión:
La precuela de la Serie Soul bonded me pareció que estuvo bien pero podría haber estado mejor.
Faltó una mejor visión del mundo, los detalles eran pobres, me preguntaba dónde estaba parada, no tenía idea! Y qué eran exactamente los protagonistas? ella tenía la piel turquesa, él verde, tenían garras y colmillos, eran una especie felina? Eran humanoides? Estaba confundida sobre su especie, no tenían nada que me resultara especial como aliens. Tampoco era especial la forma en que encontraban sus almas gemelas, era algo que ya leí antes.
No hay mucho sucediendo, no hay una gran aventura pero la historia de amor entre Ari y Peleus fue linda, con algo de angustia innecesaria, pero linda en fin.
Eran de diferentes zonas del planeta, ella venía del lado más pobre y él de la zona más acomodada, cliché pero bueno... Resulta que son almas gemelas y se encuentran demasiado pronto, ambos son jóvenes, están por comenzar la academia que es como una escuela militar, él se entrena para luchar y ella para ser médica. Básicamente nos cuentan cómo llegan a estar juntos mientras lidian con sus diferencias sociales, intentando alcanzar sus logros y sueños. Me gustó cómo se va desarrollando su relación que fue despacio, hubiera querido más detalles o escenas pero no estuvo mal, ambos se apoyaban y veían como iguales, su romance fue de lo más dulce con algunas escenas sexys.
Lo arruinó un poco para mí cuando Peleus es herido, después de eso no me gustó, todo se mueve demasiado rápido.
El final fue tierno, por un momento me preocupó que no hubiera final feliz!

Wasn't crazy about the characters. Ariadne was annoying and Peleus couldn't make up his mind.

It was kinda boring. Nobody is described, nothing happens, and there are a lot of time skips. I didn't have time to connect with the characters, and their relationship was lukewarm at best.

Good read that I didn’t want to end

An interesting sci-fi fated mate alien romance that’s the prequel to Phoenix’s Touch.
Romance was adorable, I was glad that it wasn’t the typical insta-love, but something that grew over time. Wonderful world building. Such a fantastic read when there’s different cultures and possible beings in the universe. I find it gives the story depth and much more enjoyable to read. I love me some spicy alien love.
The storyline does continue into the next book with Peleus’s son and his mate so I’m interested to see how the universe expands. Though it’s meant to be a lighter read this was a very enjoyable and entertaining book. Give it a read and enjoy!

Together to Make Things Better
A wonderful romance along the lines of the poor girl and the rich, socially conscious rich prince. Ariadne was from the wrong side of town when an opportunity to better her life presents itself. Only her current employer was a nasty snob who downplayed her intelligence and fired her for daring to finally stand up for herself. While she is dealing with the emotions of everything she meets her fated mate in an alley. From the rich section of the planet, Peleus is the last type of person Ari saw herself with. As the learn about each other and finish their schooling their love grows. They faced a lot of obstacles but get their happy ever after. I really enjoyed the book.

This book spans 10 years...
...and not coherently.
Ever heard the "show don't tell" mantra about writing? This author did NOT get that memo. There's SO many gaps. So much time passing. So little relationship building. There's trauma were told about, told it directly affects her... But is easily dismissed. There's a horrific betrayal... Glossed over in literally three pages.
I tried. But wow.
...and not coherently.
