The couple: Vin and Julia
Romance trope: HS love
Series: The Men of the Double Down Fitness Club
Plot: Vin and Julia are a high school couple on their way to prom. They have their first sexual experience. Vin talks to his dad about some misgivings.
Commentary: This was a prequel to Loving Him Again. I read it through the Swoonworthy anthology (Swoon Worthy).
There were a lot of exclamation marks, and I much prefer to get the emotion through dialogue, description - anything other than punctuation. Exclamation marks seem to have more impact when there are fewer of them. It also highlights the youth of the characters - and maybe that was the point.
Also, there wasn't really an ending. I know this was a prologue, but it still felt unfinished. It needed just a little more.
