A bit rambling, but a fun romp through science and conjecture about et's and our possible origins. I did check on a fact or two and found them off.

This one's kind of a hoot, not because Spencer's theory is particularly interesting (aliens altered human evolution than set up an underwater base beneath the Bermuda Triangle) but because he desperately pads out his book with pages and pages of irrelevant science facts that are so remarkably incorrect that a reader in 1974 could've disproved them using their kid's World Book Encyclopedia or even a particularly elaborate episode of Mannix. My favorite:

103,680,000 years ago ... The highest order of life to develop so far in the animal kingdom is a different type of mammal, "primates" that live in trees. Prior to this creature all mammals gave birth to their young through an egg-laying process.

A bit disappointing and terribly outdated now. But had some interesting bits.
