See this is why even when certain books in a Marie Force series fail to hit the spot, I alway return for more.

She warmed the cockles of my heart with this one, even managed to make my eyes leak and whilst I can’t see my own family, spending time with the Abbott’s filled the gap for a little while. Any lover of this series will adore Molly and Linc’s story, past and present.

Oh how I love this family!! Every time I read about the Abbott family, I want them to adopt me!! I really want to be a part of this funny and huge family! They all have each other’s backs and everyone loves everyone! LET IT BE takes the reader back to when Molly and Linc met. It gives you a deep understanding into why we have never met Linc’s family. LET IT BE is the perfect way to spend the day with this beautiful family and all the antics that go on within it. LET IT BE is the sixth book in the Butler, Vermont series but it really is a continuation of the Green Mountain series. One of the best things I love about this series is the life advice Grandpa Elmer loves to give out!

LET IT BE is Linc and Molly’s story, past and present. When they meet they both agree that they are friends and nothing more as Linc is going to the UK in the fall and Molly is going home to Vermont. Molly is determined to make sure Linc gets to Oxford and she keeps him at arms length so he won’t be tempted. He falls head over heels for her much to his surprise! Men!! Molly starts falling for Linc as well. Then something from Molly’s past changes things. Linc is determined to not let that change anything. You all should read this beautiful and fun story about how Linc and Molly fall in love! The Butler, Vermont series just keeps getting better and better.

LET IT BE is going to have your emotions all over the place as Linc and Molly try to figure things out. Not to mention the drama the other couples are going through as well. I really enjoyed reading Linc and Molly’s love story! It wasn’t the easiest read because there were some major dilemmas going on in Linc’s life. When Lincoln’s father learns of his plans to be with Molly instead of going to Oxford and then joining the family business, his father loses it. He tells Linc if he does this, Linc is dead to him and the family. His father will cut him out of the will and the family forever. On a side note, my mother did the same thing to me. I just don’t understand how a parent can do this to their child. So heart breaking for all involved.

Marie Force is one of my favorite go to authors. I am not up to date with this series and I am working my way through her other ones as well and they are all wonderful reads. Marie has a way with words that pulls you right in and never lets you go. You are instantly emotionally invested in all the characters lives and you can’t help but feeling like they are your old friends by the time you have finished. You have to grab this book and visit Butler, Vermont and fall in love with this family and all the animals including one big moose called Fred!! Marie’s stories always leave me with a huge smile on my face, but screaming for more. That’s how wrapped up her writing gets me.

Auf dieses Buch habe ich mich so gefreut, denn endlich erfährt man auch die Geschichte von Molly und Lincoln. Die beiden sind so süß und das noch nach 40 Jahren. Am besten fand ich, dass jeder hier mitreden durfte, viele Kapitelabschnitte wurden von den Kindern selber erzählt und so konnte man auch bei ihnen wieder ein wenig hinter die Kulissen blicken. Es war wie immer so toll zum Lesen und ich bin enttäuscht, dass es nur so wenig Seiten hatte. Ich will noch mehr von den Abbotts. Sie sind wie meine Zuflucht, mein zweites Zuhause. Dort kann man sich nur wohlfühlen. Wir sind jetzt schon beim 12. Band und ich bekomme immer noch nicht genug. Ich will noch mehr.

Gremlins ate my hard drive and I'm using my grandson's laptop awaiting the return of my computer-- so full review will have to wait. But I promise that this one is an emotionally filled story that you won't want to miss. Lincoln Abbott meets Molly Stillman for the first time -- both new college graduates -- sparks ignite and well we all know he married her and they had ten kids! But there's so much more to their story -- both past and present.

This story was just ok. Linc's family story was annoying. The family members that oh so missed him for 40 years could have reached out as adults eventually but chose not to. Eye roll. This book seemed like a filler. And with all the rave reviews, I'm gonna go against the grain and say this book was heavy on the sappy side for me and less on the feel good. Hoping things pick up in the next book.

Let It Be by Marie Force was one of my Top Picks of 2020 This story allows readers to experience the how the Abbott family came to be getting to hear Lincoln and Molly's story as they finally shared it in full with their children was truly beautiful.

For me this was a beautiful look at true love... love through good and bad... love through heartache and loss and love that is a choice... Lincoln and Molly actively choose each other over the years and work to make their love work; love that results in a family that will warm your heart.

Let It Be provided back story as to how these two meet and Lincoln ended up on Molly's hometown of Butler, Vermont. The why readers of the series have never meet Lincoln's family becomes the central point of this book and man... hold into your heart...

I really don't want to share much more except to say Force does an amazing job, the reader truly understands these more, they understand Lincoln and Elmer's book (Lincoln's father-in-law) and it becomes even more clear that Lincoln and Molly raised amazing humans (I would think every parent's dream - I know it's one of mine)

If you have not met the Abbot Family and you don't mind knowing how each couple gets together you can read this book first....

If you have not met the Abbott Famiky I highly recommend starting with book 1 All You Need is Love for an amazing binge read of a family saga with titles names for Beatles song filled with stories of Abbott family members finding the person they will walk through life with.

So, you know when you wait and wish for a story, then you finally get it? Well, sometimes it doesn’t live up to expectations and sometimes it’s so much better, Let it Ne was so much better.

Lincoln and Molly’s story is so much more than a family origin story, or a Christmas story. This catch-up not only tells the tale of how they met, it answers all these questions that have been in the series since the beginning, but it also takes place in the current holiday time period.

And there’s weddings, and a baby, an air mattress that pops at an inopportune time, and multiple pregnancies, and moose, oh my!

If you love the Abbotts, then you will love this book. This is how Molly and Linc come to be. But, don't think it's all about their past. This book takes place in the past and the present. All Abbott members are present and accounted for in this book. You will read many points of view and catch up with your favorite characters. No cliffhanger, but don't think this is the last you have seen of the Abbotts.

Fabulous love story that i was dying to read!!! Molly and Linc's love story will suck you in and you will not be able to put down!! So many emotions of love, passion, anger and many tears flowed through this book!! I recommend this book to everyone...you will fall in love with this couple and all their children and their spouses!! Als fleißige Leserin der Reihe, war ich natürlich genauso neugierig warum nie die Familie von Lincoln aufgetaucht ist. Und genau das erfährt man hier.
Man ist genauso wie seine Kinder entsetzt und zu Tränen gerührt zu gleich.
Ich fand es schön die Geschichte von Lincoln und Molly zu lesen, die hat nämlich schon irgendwie gefehlt.
Jetzt hätte ich gern die von Max noch.
Auch nach diesen Band habe ich von den Abbotts einfach nicht genug.
Wieder eine schöne Geschichte mit viel Herz und Humor.

Großartig, man schreibt eine Romantikserie mit 10 Couples und füllt dann zumindest das hier vorliegende Buch damit, dass diese zehn Couples ein und dasselbe Gespräch führen.

I can never get enough of Marie Force novels and on the eve of a Christmas like no other with the threat of more lockdowns looming. This was the perfect antidote and a story that had me crying happy tears one minute and sad tears the next. But also laughing loudly at all the sibling antics, and smiling broadly at witnessing a love so strong that it leapt from the pages, and it wasn't just getting to learn about Molly and Lincoln's love. It was about being back in Butler and being surrounded by all the Abbott family, especially Elmer, Hannah, Nolan, Lucy and Max, as well as all the little surprise elements and how the story was woven together. And honestly, I couldn't put it down in fact, it was that good I tried to read it in one sitting, but unfortunately my eyes wouldn't co-operate!!

Auch der zwölfte Teil der Reihe war wieder sehr gut. Glaube das war bis jetzt das emotionalste Buch der Reihe. Hat mir gut gefallen, dass man die Sichtweisen von allen Abotts hatte.

I LOVED this. I started crying by the second chapter and felt strongly throughout the read. This couple has 10 children and one of my favorite things here is we get vignettes of each of them about how they feel about what is happening to their father. I love revisiting each of the children with their spouses and sometimes children. It's also great to get the history of these special parents who have raised all these children who are such fine human beings. Amazing and MUST READ for fans of the series.

Dies ist nun schon Band 12 von einer meiner Lieblingsreihe. Ich liebe es die altbekannten Charaktere wieder zu treffen und mitzuerleben, wie sich in jedem Teil wieder ein neues Paar findet.
In diesem Band wurde ich allerdings überrascht und zwar positiv. Das bekannte Schema wurde durchbrochen. Ich würde sagen, dass dies wohl mein neue Lieblingsband der Reihe ist.
Hier erlebt man nämlich Molly und Lincoln als Liebespaar, also die Eltern all der Geschwister, die in den anderen Teilen der Reihe jeweils ihre Partner gefunden haben. Das macht die Autorin auf eine unglaublich interessante und geschickte Art. Lincoln bekommt am Anfang des Buches einen Anruf von seiner Schwester Charlotte und man erfährt endlich, warum man in all den Bänden nie etwas von Lincolns Ursprungsfamilie gehört hat. Sein Vater hatte ihn vor vielen Jahren verbannt, weil er Molly geheiratet hatte und sich gegen das Familienunternehmen entschied. Seither hatte er keinen Kontakt mehr mit seinen Eltern und seinen Geschwistern und das obwohl man Lincoln ja als einen so herzlichen Familienmenschen in den Vorgängerbänden kennengelernt hatte. Jetzt liegt der Vater im Sterben und will ihn sehen. Lincoln muss nun entscheiden, was er tut und wie er seine Kinder einweiht. Da kommt die besagte Finesse ins Spiel und die Autorin erzählt uns in einem Wechsel von Rückblick und Gegenwart, wie Lincoln Molly kennengelernt hat, wie sie ihr Leben gemeinsam aufgebaut haben und wie sie ihre Familie planten. Nebenbei bekommt jedes einzelne Paar aus den Vorgängerbänden wieder einiges an Seiten im Buch, weil auch die Kinder diese neuen Informationen verarbeiten müssen und mit ihren Partner besprechen. Das war wieder genau das, was ich an solchen Familien-Serien liebe und die Charaktere und Pärchen sind so herrlich unterschiedliche, dass es nie langweilig wird. Jeder reagiert auf die neue Situation anders und verarbeitet die neuen Informationen unterschiedlich.
Natürlich war vieles wieder sehr vorhersehbar und alles unglaublich kitschig, aber ich mag das und wer die Reihe bis hierhin gelesen hat, der weiß eh was auf ihn zu kommt. Negativ ist hier natürlich, dass bei den Büchern einfach kaum ersichtlich ist, dass dies ein später Teil einer Reihe ist und ob das für jemanden, der die Bände davor nicht kennt, ein guter Band für den Einstieg in die Reihe ist, bezweifle ich sehr stark. Dafür wird man mit der Charakterflut wohl eher erschlagen und es werden einem die kurzen Szenen mit den Nebencharakteren nicht viel bringen. Für Leser der kompletten Reihe, wird dies aber sicher genau so ein Highlight sein, wie für mich.
Die Sprecherin, Christiane Marx, ist für mich mittlerweile einer meiner absoluten Lieblingssprecherinnen. Sie gehört für mich zu der Reihe dazu.
Ich hoffe es wird noch weitere Bände dieser Reihe geben!

This family is incredible!

Whenever I read a book in this series, I want to be a part of the family and move to Butler, Vermont.
The place is simply magical and the whole family is so wonderful. They are loud, funny, extremely loyal and they love intensely.

It was nice getting to know Linc and Molly's story and their kids' reaction to it. They're so fiercely protective and pationate about each other, it was adorable to read.

I also really liked seeing not only Linc's and Molly's POV in this book, but rather the whole Abbott family's (and even Elmer).

Linc and Molly's story is a must read! I have been looking forward to their story for some Time and Marie Force did not disappoint. If you have wondered at all about we have not heard much about Linc's family, we will finally find out what happened between Linc and his family. Although, I have loved every book in this series, Let it Be is my favorite right now. Once I started reading this, I was unable to put it down. Just hate that work and life kept interfering with my reading :).

Ich liebe die Reihe rund um die Familie Abbot. Bei diesem Band waren mir jedoch zu viele Szenen zu ähnlich. Es braucht nicht 5 Szenen, in denen dieselbe Geschichte von unterschiedlichen Charakteren an ihre Partner weitergegeben wird, die fast gleich reagieren. Dadurch kam es mir sehr lückenfüllend vor, damit eine gewisse Seitenanzahl erreicht wird.

Es war dennoch süß zu erfahren, wie die Eltern sich kennengelernt haben und es war wie immer eine schöne Geschichte.

Okay, so the blurb for this book pretty much provides the outline of this story. I’ll just try to flesh it out a bit more. Let it Be the 6th book in Marie Force’s Butler Vermont series serves a dual purpose. It’s a heartwarming travel back in time to when Lincoln Abbott and Molly Stillman fell in love. After forty years of marriage and ten children a call from Lincoln’s estranged sister Charlotte forces him and by extension his loving wife Molly to remember those long ago days when they met as recent college graduates volunteering to rebuild homes in hurricane devastated Gulfport Mississippi. Lincoln is forced to share with his ten children the story of how he and their mother met and reveal the long held secret as to why they’ve never heard anything about their father’s side of the family. In return his children all vote to accompany and support him on his trip to his childhood home in Philadelphia to respond to his father’s deathbed request to see him. This allows the author to provide new readers with an incapsulated view of the history of the ten Abbott children and their significant others as they prepare for their two-day trip to Philadelphia, as well as his in-laws Elmer and the late Sarah Stillman and Molly’s sister Hannah Coleman, single mom of the eight now adult Coleman siblings side of the family. This book is a bit of a jumping off point as the author temporarily returns her focus to the two remaining single Coleman cousins divorced building contractor Noah and still single renowned photographer Izzy.
Other than in the first two books in this series Every Little Thing which focused on the romance between Grayson the eldest Coleman sibling and single mom Emma, and the second, Can’t Buy Me Love which focused upon billionaire Patrick Murphy (father of Cameron his only child, now married to Will Abbott) and Mary the former longtime office manager of the Green Mountain Country Store, the next four books in this series have been focused upon the Abbott side of the family as three of the four remaining single Abbotts, Wade, Lucas and Landon who weren’t already coupled up in the author’s Green Mountain series find love as well as keeping reader abreast of the lives of the other already coupled up Abbott siblings with engagements, marriages, pregnancies and childbirths. Other than Grayson the other seven Coleman siblings, cousins of the Abbotts haven’t had much of a role in this series to date. In the ninth and final book in the series, The Long and Winding Road, Max will find true love. and not with Mia’s cousin Caroline Lodge who proves to be a red herring I’m certain the author will also in this last book provide us with a final big happily ever after look at all the Abbotts and Colemans.

Es war Liebe auf den ersten Blick, die er bisher keinen einzigen Tag bereut hat. Molly ist die Liebe seines Lebens und ihre gemeinsamen zehn Kinder sind eine deutlicher Beweis dafür. Back to the roots heißt es im zwölften Band für Marie Force, die in diesem Buch die Liebesgeschichte von Lincoln und Molly erzählt. In Rückblicken wird die Vergangenheit der beiden aufgerollt und ihre zehn Kinder erfahren zum ersten Mal, wie das Kennenlernen ihrer Eltern tatsächlich verlaufen ist und was es mit der nie erwähnten Familie ihres Vaters auf sich hat. Gleichzeitig lässt es sich die Autorin natürlich nicht nehmen, die süßen Lovestorys der nächsten Generation weiterzuerzählen und gibt einen kleinen und meist amüsanten Einblick in den Alltag eines jeden Familienmitglieds.
Für Fans der Reihe ist dieses Buch ein ganz klares Muss, denn es beleuchtet die Anfänge und erzählt, wie der Grundstein der Abbott-Dynastie in Butler gelegt wurde. Die warmherzige Wohlfühlstory gibt einige überraschende Einblicke in die Vergangenheit und macht ganz klar deutlich, dass Marie Force der Stoff für weitere Geschichten noch lange nicht ausgegangen ist.
Die liebenswerte Großfamilie sorgt wie immer für Chaos, viele Lacher, aber auch berührende Emotionen und Taschentuchmomente.

Mein Fazit:
Die wunderschöne Lovestory bekommt von mir sehr gern eine Leseempfehlung und ich bin schon sehr neugierig auf die nächste Geschichte aus dem idyllischen Butler, Vermont!

Vielen Dank an den Verlag für das Rezensionsexemplar. Ein weiterer Band der Lost in Love Reihe welche ich so sehr liebe. Ein Band der aber durchaus wichtig ist und uns die Geschichte der Familie Abbott näher bringt. Man lernt das kennenlernen von Lincoln Abbott kennen und seiner Molly. Die Story beginnt aber erstmal in der Gegenwart, in der Lincoln einen Anruf von seiner Schwester bekommt. Sie sagt ihm das deren Vater ihn sehen möchte. Vorher hat er nie über seine Vergangenheit geredet gar über die Familie. Nun wird es an der Zeit, mit seiner Familie über seine Vergangenheit zu reden und das gemeinsam mit Molly.

Ich muss nicht viel über Lincoln und Molly reden. Wer die vorherigen Bücher kennt, weiß wie herzlich und toll die beiden sind. Die Geschichte der beiden finde ich einfach super und ist das tüpfelchen für das i in der Reihe. Der Familien zusammenhalt ist dabei auch absolut present. Als nämlich alle von der ganzen Geschichte erfahren, beschließen sie zusammen mit Lincoln und Molly die Reise nach Philadelphia anzutreten. Man hat auch die Möglichkeit von jedem Familienmitglied zu lesen. Es ist sogar mittlerweile so, als würde man ein Teil der Familie sein. Dabei gibt es auch viel Humor in der Story.

Der Schreibstil war wunderbar leicht und flüssig zu lesen. Die Kulisse auch wieder bildlich beschrieben. Ich konnte mich ganz in die Story fallen lassen und diese absolut genießen. Endlich kann man die Geschichte zu Lincoln und Molly auch zusammenreimen und verstehen. Es ist romantisch, emotional, herzzereißend und doch so wichtig. Am liebste hätte ich gar nicht aufgehört zu lesen. Doch langsam kommt die Befürchtung auf, das die Reihe bald ein Ende nimmt. Einen weiteren Band wird es noch geben und ich bin schon gespannt welche Geschichte dieser Band mit bringt.

Marie Force shows that she masters the whole range of emotions in a stylish manner. Well, there are a few unnecessarily cheesy bits and pieces, but all in all, this novel is a fantastic reading tour through the grandiose Vermont landscape. It was just great to follow the author´s light, harmonious tone, and style of writing, even if the story is not always in sunshine. It made my heart really warm in places while reading.

The family cohesion that is shown here is nice to see. At the same time, the author answers a number of questions that arose while reading the other volumes. I always had to smile when Linc´s children clearly stated that they didn´t want to know or hear certain things from their parents´ lives. Form this the author has developed many delicious scenes that give the novel a particularly beautiful note. There are beautiful father and son scenes, delicious dialogues between father and father-in-law and atmospheric incidents between a mother and her children.

The author brings the most diverse characters together, as the whole Abbott family meets here. And it´s wonderful to see how the individual characters have developed. It was nice to see how the love story between Linc and Molly developed and how the two dealt with doubts and rejection. Molly´s fine instinct for the worries and needs of others, especially those of her family, comes into its own as well as Linc´s considerations and decisions. His way of arguing is wonderful, and you can see once again that his thoughts are often far ahead of his children.

A Novel full of emotions, a little bit of kitsch and lots of love. Once again, Marie Force has delivered great cinema. Read!

Vierzig wundervolle Jahre, die er niemals auch nur eine Sekunde lang seine Entscheidung hinterfragt hat. Aber auch vierzig Jahre, in denen niemals über seine Herkunftsfamilie gesprochen wurde. Doch ein paar Tage vor Weihnachten meldet sich Lincs Schwester, die ihm mitteilt, dass ihr Vater auf dem Sterbebett nach Lincoln fragt. Für Linc ist nun der Zeitpunkt gekommen, seiner Familie die ganze Geschichte von Mollys und seiner Liebe zu erzählen und gemeinsam zu überlegen, ob sie sich auf den Weg nach Philadelphia machen sollen...

„Jeder Schritt Zu Dir“ ist der 12. Band der Lost-In-Love Reihe von Marie-Force. Es ist eine typische "Wie alles begann..." Geschichte und mir hat sie wirklich gut gefallen. Sie wird uns in der Gegenwart und der Vergangenheit in einem flüssigen, unterhaltsamen Schreibstil erzählt. Schön ist auch, dass jedes Mitglied der Abbotts wieder einen kleinen Part bekommt, in dem wir Neues erfahren.
Hauptsächlich geht es natürlich um das Kennenlernen von Linc und Molly. Man kann die Gefühle der Beiden quasi greifen, so bildhaft wurden sie beschrieben. Auch die Gründung dieser außergewöhnlichen Familie und die Bedeutung dieser für Linc nehmen einen großen Platz ein.
Natürlich gibt's am Ende wieder die gewohnte Aussicht auf die nächste Verkuppelung von Linc und Opa Elmer. Und auch Stadtelch Fred findet wieder Erwähnung.
Die Bedeutung des Beatles-Songs, "Let it be" für die Geschichte ist perfekt adaptiert.

Fazit: Eine tolle Story rund um die Themen Liebe, Mut, Entscheidungen und Verzeihen. Eines meiner liebsten Bücher dieser Reihe!

In " Jeder Schritt zu dir (Lost in Love. Die Green-Mountain-Serie 12) " war die erste Begegnung zwischen Lincoln und Molly vor vierzig Jahren magisch und Lebensverändernd.
Denn Lincoln gab einen seiner Träume auf, um an der Seite seiner großen Liebe sein Dasein zu führen. Doch er gab nicht nur diesen Traum auf, sondern musste auch seine Familie zurücklassen. Etwas wovon seine zehn Kinder bis heute keine Ahnung haben, wieso es keinen Kontakt zu Familie ihres Vaters gibt.
Jedoch wird Lincoln durch einen Anruf zurück in die Vergangenheit gezogen mit der Bitte, heimzukehren.
Wie gehen Lincoln und seine geliebte Frau Molly mit dieser Bitte um und wie werden ihre Kinder darauf reagieren? Kommt Lincoln der Bitte seines Vaters nach, oder ist die Enttäuschung von damals noch zu groß, um diesen Schritt zu gehen?
Die Story hat mich gleich wieder in das Leben der Familie Abbott gezogen, dabei bleibt sie abwechslungsreich sowie spannungsgeladen. Man darf mit Lincoln und seiner Molly ihre Kennenlernphase und die Reaktionen ihrer Kinder auf die plötzliche Kontaktaufnahme Seitens der väterlichen Familie erleben. Es gibt einiges zum schmunzeln bis herzhaft zu lachen, so manche mitfühlende Momente und das ein oder andere Tränchen zu vergießen.
Ich konnte das Buch nicht mehr aus der Hand legen, da ich erfahren wollte, ob Lincoln seinen Vater gegenüber trat sowie ob und wie die Familien aufeinandertrafen.
Das Buch bekommt von mir eine Lese / Kaufempfehlung und 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sterne.

What can I say that hasn’t already been said about Let It Be ( Butler, Vermont #6), can my words do this wonderful read justice. This is a perfect addition to this amazing series about one of my favourite families the Abbott’s, I love my visits to Butler, Vermont and I was excited for Molly and Lincs story and I have to say this book was everything I expected and so much more......
I don’t want to write a review that is full of spoilers because I believe you need to read this book with no preconceived ideas, you need to read this book first hand so I’m just going to tell you how Let It Be made me feel. This story takes us back to when Molly and Linc met, it gives us an insight into why we have never met Lincs family and why family and friends are so important to this family.
This book touched me on so many levels, I laughed and I cried , I loved joining this family on a bus journey to the past and this wonderful tale made this family real and special. This author paints pictures with her words and she describes Butler beautifully, in fact I feel like I know this town even though I live on a different continent. This book can certainly be read as a stand-alone but I’m sure once you meet the Abbott’s one book will never be enough, this is a series I will read and re read because I can’t get enough of this clan. Looking forward to whats next from Vermont.

Let It Be is book six of the Butler Vermont Series by Marie Force. It is a continuation of the Green Mountain Series by the same author. I have read Marie Force before, but neither of the abovementioned series. I am six books into the Butler series. It is good but is too easy for the characters. I like her writing, but it is usually in the form of murder in the Fatal Series and the Quantum Series, so this was new for me. I enjoyed this book.

I DID NOT read the Green Mountain Series first. This book is about the Coleman and Abbott families. This is a standalone book, but there are cross-over characters from the other series. Reading the previous books gives you background and a glimpse into the characters.

This book is about the OG couple, Molly Stillman and Lincon Abbott, who met and fell in love in Mississippi. Lincoln who had just graduated from Yale with an MBA and was headed to Oxford for a year. Molly was fresh out of college with a psychology degree. Linc’s father made him choose, and he picked Molly and the Green Mountain Country Store; his father is dying and wants to see his son. Almost the whole family goes to Philadelphia to meet the family they never knew about. This covers forty years of love and family.

There is no cheating, no cliffhanger, a dual POV, 252 pages, and HEA.

5 Star Review of Let It Be (Butler, Vermont #6)

AUDIO REVIEW:

Reading a Green Mountain or Butler Vermont book is to me like going home to visit my family. I adore the Abbott family and absolutely loved Let It Be. It was everything I hoped for and so much more that I listened to this one in almost one sitting. I was absolutely riveted to the story and narration.

Linc and Molly’s story ha become my favourite book and to say that means so much as I have loved every one of the stories that Ms.Force has woven about this family. I have always wondered about how Linc and Molly met and the circumstances that had Linc moving to Butler, Vermont but I had no idea how complicated and heartbreaking the circumstances were until now.

Linc is comfortable with the decision he made almost forty years ago, but all it takes is one phone call and the past rushes back to smack him in the face. I loved how the story moved through time from past to present and the unconditional love that all the Abbott children and their significant others gave to Linc.

Marie Force did not disappoint in any way as this was an extremely well written sweet and romantic love story that touched me on so many levels. Let It Be is at times a heart wrenching story of determination, courage, strength and above all love, acceptance and family.

I cannot wait for the next book in the series, Come Together.

Die Reihe ist ja eh schon total kitschig, aber dieser Teil hat definitiv nochmal eine Schippe drauf gelegt! Handlungstechnisch passiert nicht viel - Lincoln und Molly sind ja schon lange lange zusammen. Sie erzählen ihre Kennenlerngeschichte ihrer Großfamilie und lassen auch nicht den Teil aus, an dem Lincolns Vater ihn gezwungen hat, sich zwischen Molly und seiner Familie zu entscheiden. Lincoln erfährt dass sein Vater im Sterben liegt und fährt mit all seinen Kindern hin, um seinem Vater zu zeigen, dass er damals die richtige Entscheidung getroffen hat, als er sich für Molly entschieden hat und auch, um seinen Frieden mit der unschönen Geschichte zu schließen. Bevor die ganze Truppe losfährt erzählen erstmal alle 10 Kindern ihren Partnern auch nochmal die ganze Geschichte ihrer Eltern. Der Mittelteil des Buches besteht also eigentlich nur aus der gleichen Szene aus 10 verschiedenen Perspektiven - die aber alle sehr ähnlich sind. Am Ende gibt es noch ein neues Enkelkind, ein idyllisches Weihnachtsfest und eine kleine Hochzeit. Das Buch hat sich für mich wie ein Weihnachtsspecial angefühlt. Es ist kaum etwas passiert, aber es war irgendwie schön und eine Überdosis an Kitsch. Ach ja und Elmer hat mir in diesem Teil richtig gut gefallen!
