The first two stories in this anthology were great. I’d give them 5 stars. They were alien romances.
The third story was a super hero / villain story that had aliens in it. Id probably give it 4 stars. It’s well worth reading. A little romance was thrown in for good measure, but on no scale would I have considered it a romance, nor was it really about abduction. It just didn’t seem to fit the theme of the anthology. It also seemed to take up the majority of the space in the anthology.
The fourth book was another alien romance, however, if this planet is about to be invaded and I am responsible for organizing the first meet and greet - I guarantee you that in the middle of the fighting I’m not going to take time to have sex with the alien after he’s killed some weird creature and two bad guys. This seems to have happened within 20-30 minutes of meeting. Not overly sexy either. All this did was give the alien bad guys a chance to catch up with them again and thoroughly tick me off. This was literally the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen written in a romance novel before. Gee, the Earth is about to be razed by planet destroying aliens, but let’s sex each other up before we tell anyone. Right. Sorry, this dragged everything down for me, and if I were the other authors, there’s no way I’d have allowed it in my anthology. Plus, I’d have proofed it to make sure it had sufficient quality to even be there. Flat out, for me, maybe 1 star. It has potential, but it needs some serious thought.
The last thing in the anthology was three chapters of a yet unfinished book. It seems like a great start, but I always find getting partial books in anthologies annoying. Don’t tease me if you don’t even have enough written to have a book up with a to be published date available. Frustrating. This also totally missed both the alien and abduction them of the anthology. The book itself will likely be a 4 or 5 star book when it’s completed. The first 3 chapters were great.
5 titles in this book. 1. A Light Couple - Katherine E Soto. 2 stars cute clean story. 2. Ella and the Alien Prince - Margo Bond Collins. 5 stars It has everything, humor, sex and big aliens. 3. As halo and the Blue Horseman - Jordan Elizabeth. 5 stars Excellent story. Going to follow it. 4. The Alien's Mistaken Bride - Nova Celeste and Lexi Velvet 2 stars ok story, but very poorly written. 5. Equilibrium - Mandy Melanson and Elle Ryan 4 stars it's the first chapter of the book.
This was a short anthology. I would have given it a one star but I really enjoyed Ashali and the Blur Horseman. Ella and the Alien Prince is from a series I really like but this story lacked the greatness of the full version.
