BRILLIANT STORY LOTS OF GREAT CHARACTER'S
Simon Windsor The Marquess of Pemberly rarely attends functions, dislikes Society after one night at a masked ball wanders into the library for some quite time.
Lady Alexandra who has seen Simon before from a distance and recognised him even with his mask, she has fallen in love with him even though he knows nothing of her, she follows him into the library hoping he will notice her (HE DOES) they share a kiss and more then
she leaves they cannot forget each other.
Lady Alexandra is forced to disappear because of her cousin unwanted attention ( He is also her guardian).
Her friend Martha helps her by giving her a false reference for the position of governess to the Duke of Kerwood great grandchildren (Simon's Grandfather ).

A Little Deception Goes a Long Way
I really enjoyed this story. Lady Alexandra and Lord Simon meet at a masked ball. They are attracted to each other but Simon is unaware of Alexandra's identity. Alex wants to escape the unwanted attentions of her cousin and has admired Simon from afar. She takes a post as a governess at Simon's family home, disguised as Miss Valentine. She builds a relationship with the unruly twins and gradually wins Simon over as well. Simon's grandfather is cruel and makes life very difficult for everyone. Alex's cousin is determined to marry her. Will Simon find the truth about Alex? Will Alex escape her cousin? Will the Duke ruin their budding relationship? Will Alex and Simon find happiness? Read on and enjoy.

Beautiful and absolutely amazing journey of love and mystery.
I absolutely enjoyed reading this amazing journey of adventure and love and mystery. I was engaged by the characters and the story line for the beginning to the end. Love Says it all
This is a very good story about love and family Alexandria fell in love with Simon and he is a Marquess.She has a cousin that inherited from her father and he made her life miserable.She found out the marquess needed a governess so she got the job and they fell in love but they had twists and turns to overcome and they married.The characters are strong and realistic The extended epilogue completes the story with happiness and togetherness A well written and enjoyable story

I loved reading this book from beginning to end as it was very entertaining, exciting, fun with teasing going back and forth. The author draws you into each of the characters thoughts and their own journey for love and family. The story had twist and turns with intrigue, courage, desire, lust, scandalous, deception, lies, deceit, secrets, mystery, suspense, drama, romance and acceptance.. Loved it ❤️

Despite steamy being in the description it was quite tame for me with just one barely descriptive scene but I quite enjoyed the book, more than I expected I would. The plot was interesting enough to hold my attention throughout the book. Might read more from the author. Really liked how there was no ex lover drama.

Wonderful book and story with e exceptional characters. Simon had his anxiety problems but little does he know the that Alex has always loved him, and with her love he becomes her treasure along with threatens and later with her own twin girls . Would highly recipe this book and author and you will not be disappointed. :)

Mixing social issue with romance! Boisterous and endearing children never fail to delight, as did the grandmother. Worried about the grandfather's relationship with the children.(Not what I thought, thankfully!)
Slow start led to good story. Enjoyed it. 3 1/2 stars.

Harriet Cave’s new steamy regency romance is filled with mystery and intrigue. Alexandra has her sights set on Simon, but she has no idea of the challenges he faces. There are so many layers and so much depth to this story.

why do I have to have a headline
Fantastic. Throughly enjoyed the characters. Even gladder that it didn’t take forever to bring Simon to his senses. You really didn’t explain what Simon’s problem was.

Not your usual tormented hero
Great story! Hero has OCD with repeating obsessions. I enjoyed the storyline, conflict, and romance. Enjoyed the niece, nephew, and grandmother in the story.

This was a really great book! There was a lot of sweet moments; couple of anxious ones and a delightful amount of naughtiness. It had some spice that I would’ve preferred it not, but it was still a good book.
