El Tarot adivinatorio

Rate this book

While for most of us, the Tarot seems to us a simple card game, a pastime, for Papus it had a cosmological, philosophical, initiatory and divinatory character. For him, its origin went back to the Book of Thoth, an ancient sacred text of the Egyptians that centuries later the Bohemians, that is, the Gypsy Gypsies, introduced into Western Europe. If the history and the philosophical applications were explained by Papus in his work The Tarot of the Bohemians (1889), in this Divinatory Tarot (1909) he intends to offer a treatise on practical divination aimed at all interested readers, whatever their level.
