Another great read in this evolving series. Ms. Maki's talents as an author are also evolving. This series and particularly this book has a unique literary style that makes it and its characters much more vibrant than usual. My estimate is that 50% of the content is 1st person utterances by the characters. This gets the readers imagination more involved for a more full filling and in depth experience. While the books can be read as standalones I highly recommend reading the entire series in order. Each volume builds on its predecessor and with this style of writing the more you have read the better the experience will be.

Great read

The Makis. When it comes to Navy and aircraft carriers , they know their stuff. I love some of the humor thrown in. I Also recognize a lot of names, whether Intentional or not it always brings back memories of other books and movies. I think Brubaker was William Holden's name in Bridges of Toko Ri, another good Navy movie set in Korean War. Grace Kelly, Micky Rooney, my old Squadron, at its begining, HC-1. What's not to like.
I'd love this to be made into a movie series but it would be way to expensive.

The most exciting, modern, “what if” naval aviation time travel series continues

The saga of time traveling Americans fighting in WW II, both against the Nazi’s and Imperial Japanese, continues. Samantha Hunt and her pilots and crews of their advanced aircraft, adapt to larger numbers of enemy, who now seek to make the war personal. Read and enjoy these magnificent books by the Maki’s. You’ll thirst for more realistic action, and feel the adrenaline flow…

Good series, but...

Loved the series but this must be one of the worst edited books and series I have read all year and I've read about 125 so far. This book was filled with footnotes that linked to proofreader notes. I would consider all 6 books so far to be not ready for print yet. Engaging stories, good action, good character development but horrid proofreading and editing. If it was edited properly, 5 stars all day long.

okay Three Wire Book 6 last book of the Fighting Tomcats.

Samantha Hunt finally gets promoted to CAPT (O-6). They go back to attack Tokyo. Japan has built Carriers and long range missile subs. The American Bombers drop laser guided missiles and the SEAL teams follow it up with ground e placed demo to wrecks ships and dockyard equipment. Sam and Chaos gets shot down by a Japanese F-15 and barely escape for a SAR helicopter rescue.
GOOD Series.

The fight continues

Spikes war in the 40's continues. The warriors from the future and the 40's USA continue the battles of WWII. Marriage and higher command are here. More people grow in responsibility , some fail and some fall. TBE true face of combat. Maki co tonnes to write a well crafted military story.

Riveting read

Another excellent book in this series, superb action, believable characters. Hard to put down, can't wait to see how decent tanks will give the allies a chance against Germany's armoured might. Bring it on!

KEEPS GETTING BETTER

ACTION, STRATEGY, ROMANCE, DANGER, & COURAGE make up most of this story.. Very realistic naval deployment & war time circumstances as well as home front concerns. Additing reading.

This series continues to provide WW2 alternate history as a lively and engaging story.
WW2 was an all-encompassing engagement that continues to fascinate writers and readers as a historical event to be revisited and serve as a source for many interesting tales. On to the next installment.

Good read

Enjoyed this latest volume but the proof reader could have done a better job. Many errors that were distracting. But still good.

3.5 stars. Better than the previous book in the series. While the year(s) advance and new events occur, it's basically the same plot as in the previous books.
