These short little novellas are fun – especially when Christian Fox is whispering naughty words in your ear.

Jade and her high school BFF, Colton, have loved each other since the beginning. Unfortunately for them, she thought he wasn’t interested in her, so after her mom died she left without a word. Eight years later, she’s rolling back into town. IMMEDIATELY we start the dirty talk!! Damn, Colton has got himself a filthy mouth!!

They go home, profess love, have sex, agree to marry, and then HEA.

I honestly think he came too fast. Boy has no stamina – especially for a Texan.

Anyway – for what it is, it’s worth a listen. Might not be as good if you read it. Who knows 🤷

I read this when it originally came out. Jenna Jacob has added a lot more to the story and it just made it even better. Colton and Jade have know each other for a long time but when he left, she was at a loss. Both moved on and now Jade has come back to town to see if there was anything left between them. Both have issues to be worked through and I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see if they were going to be able to get their HEA. There is so much more depth to the story now and I'm anxious to see what Ms. Jacob has done with the other books in this series!! If you like cowboys and second chances at love, don't miss this book!!!

Ohhhh, how I am going to adore this new series from Jenna Jacob. This hot, quick, and extremely fun read is everything I adore the most about the woman's writing. It's sassy and fun, with just enough emotion woven into each character to make you truly care about their happy ending. And oh hell, the sex! YES!
IMHO, the best thing about this opener book is how richly portrayed the little town of Haven is. I'm already dying to know more about its colorful inhabitants--which will hopefully include a few more whoar-worthy heroes like Colton Maddox!
Sexy, hot, funny, and emotional..."Sin on a Stick" is like enjoying your favorite candy to the last, delicious bite. I just loved it!

This is a great start to a series from Jenna Jacob's and it was great as sin on a stick but even better as this extra and changed version. Jade and Colton were high school friends that hid their feelings from each other but after Jades life falls apart and she goes looking for a new life and ends up finding Colton. Their chemistry is HOT and they belong together, can't wait for the next book in the series. Jenna Jacobs changed, updated and added enough to make this a new wonderful read.

Jade and Colton grew up together, they both liked each other but never said anything. Colton felt Jade was too young and he didn't want to get to close as he knew he wouldn't be able to control himself around her. But when he left to help out on his grandfathers farm, Jade felt rejected and alone, which didn't help when her mum passed away. She ended up running when things got too hard and kept running. After catching her current boyfriend cheating, she realised she didn't care about him and that she needed to do something to find closure. She would never find love with anyone if she didn't get rid of her feelings for Colton. But when she ends up driving into his home town and seeing him again and those old feelings are still there as strong as ever, she needs to make a decision, but what will it be?

A story of mis-communication, missed connections and a second chance at true love. I really enjoyed this story and am looking forward to reading the rest of the series, I cant wait to see what happens with Colton's cousins.

'The Cowboy's Second Chance at Love' by Jenna Jacob is the first book in her new Cowboys of Haven series and tells the story of Colton and Jade. Colton and Jade were high school sweethearts who lost touch when they both moved away. Neither one have they been lucky in love. After her last break-up Jade goes back home to reevaluate her life. Can Jade and Colton have a second chance at love?

Ms. Jacob has kicked her new series off with a sweet story. The chemistry and feelings between Jade and Colton is very apparent. The story has drama, trust issues, laughs, heat, miscommunication, and plenty of steam. I enjoyed this book and recommend it to anyone who likes a bit of drama with their romance. I can not wait for the next one.

The book begins with a Prologue. Colton goes to his friend Jade to say goodbye before he left to return to Haven to run the family ranch. It then flashes forward to ten years later when Jade shows up in Haven to see Colton. But for some reason Colton acts mad at Jade because she didn’t want to see him after her mother’s funeral. It’s written in a manner that makes it seem like the reader should know these details, however, there was no mention of his visit, her mom’s death and several other things. So I felt like I was at a disadvantage because of the large gap of information the author left out.

It was nice to revisit some of the residents of Haven. They are truly hilarious. Colton and Jade are still wildly attracted to each other and fall into bed. Jade is falling for Colton but Colton’s harboring a secret. Will the secret tear them apart or will the two get their HEA?

What a great start to a series!

Jade and Colton were high school friends secretly hiding their crush for and from each other. Then one day Colton decided leaving town was for the best and left Jade standing on her porch with a small kiss to her forehead. Fast forward ten years….

Jade decides to take a small detour in her life by trying to find Colton in Haven, TX and “scratch her Colton itch” so she can move on and find happiness with a new guy down the road.

Her plans go awry when Colton finally sees her! She is back and he is planning to never let her go! He did that once….its not happening again!

Loved this story and how their feelings for each never faded away – just got buried a bit. A little bit of drama, a few secrets from the past, but most of their ups and downs are between the sheets! Whew - Ms. Jacobs can write a darn good sex scene!

Highly recommended!!

I was a bit nervous to start this series. I read Ms Jacobs Licks of Leather series and absolutely loved it. I was worried that maybe this series wouldn’t be as good. BOY was I wrong! This book was so good. It’s a story about old friends finding each other after 10 years. I not only loved the main characters but the side characters won my heart as well. They are such a hilariously quirky bunch. I laughed and got misty eyed, all the things I love in a book. Ms Jacobs writes her characters in a way that pulled me in. I felt like I was in Haven a part of everything. Her ability to write banter that makes me laugh is amazing. The spice in this book is off the charts and there is no slow burn. If you love a sweet, charming chivalrous cowboy and a sassy independent woman, read this book.

5⭐️ I’ve absolutely been devouring cowboy romances recently for no reason. I truly fell in love with characters and who they were. Colton should be the standard. He has reasons for what he did which seemed valid. I truly loved both of the main characters and all of the other characters. They all were so sweet and lovable (also crude but we love it). The one thing I truly wished we got a glimpse of in the end was Brea coming to see Jade.

Jade and Colton had a good thing in high school but they never told each other that they wanted much more. He left to run a ranch and ten years later she is without a job or a boyfriend so she decides to travel to somewhere else and heads straight for the town Colton had gone to. From the moment they see each other, the sparks are still there and hotter than ever.
The characters are intense with emotion and backstories. The storyline has drama, steam, decisions, surprises and twists. Loved the Gone With The Wind night and the cemetery scene. I lost my mom before I married, too, and I wish so hard that she can see us now 25 years later, still married and happy.

You will laugh, and you will cry while reading this wonderful heart warming story. Colton Maddox and Jade Hollis became best friends in high school, when she was a freshman, and he was a junior. They actually fell in love with each other, but neither said a word to the other. They told each other their secrets, but shortly after Colton graduated high school instead of going to college, he took off to Haven,Texas to help his grandfather on his ranch, since he had had a stroke. He did go tell Jade before he left town. Right after Jade graduated two years later her mother passed from cancer, and immediately after the funeral Jade disappeared with no one knowing where she went. Until, eight years later she showed in Haven looking for Colton. Enjoy the eccentric gossips of Haven, Texas as they help this young couple along in the next stage of their lives.

Hang on to your britches because this is one book that will have you enthralled from the beginning until the end and laughing so hard you might wet yourself lol. Jade and Colton were friends in high school but Jade was secretly in love with him but he leaves town to go help his family farm. Jade now has issues with commitment but when she loses her job and boyfriend she decides to leave town but ends up finding Colton again. Can they make it work? Or will her fear of relationships and commitment ruin them before it's started? Jenna did absolutely fantastic with this book.

This is a good second chance small town romance about Colton and Jade. These two grew up together each had feelings for the other but neither acted on it. Then he left town for ranch life in Haven, Texas. After her mother died he tried to comfort her but she made him leave and she ran. Both getting on with their life. Ten years later she catches her current boyfriend having phone sex with his co-worker she packs her stuff and leaves. She realizes she never cared for him and nobody will measure up to her memory of Colton. As she is driving out of town she sees a sign for Haven and decides it is finally time to live her younger dreams and scratch an itch.. They spot each other in front of the cafe in the very interesting town. All those feelings and longing come rushing back in full force. This is a nicely developed story with some miscommunications, misunderstandings and drama along the journey. I like the characters and the witty dialogue and banter.

When I started reading this book, I thought I would think, "I have already read this". But that was not the case, even though I did read the Hotties of Havens series. Jenna did her magic and wrote so many more details and avenues to the book that I didn't even know where old was and new began.
The characters are the same, Colton and Jade, their irresistible love for each other is the same, and there is still knock your socks off sex scenes, plus more, that you definitely don't want to miss. And the details that are added, make it an add to your TBR list, fast. I enjoy a HEA story, and knew this one would get there, drawing you in deeper and deeper to their story.

I so recommend this book to anyone who ever though a second chance couldn't turn out to be a thing. It can be, and Jenna writes it beautifully.

In this book we meet Jade & Colton Maddox. When this book opens we find that Colton has just graduated from high school and instead of going to college he has decided to go run the ranch for his grandfather. Jade had always hoped that he would see her as more then a friend but her hopes died on that day. The only problem with this is neither of them have forgotten the other. So when Jade realizes it is past time to leave the apartment she and her current boyfriend share she sees him talking with another woman and oh ya she lost her job the day before. So she decides it is time to try somewhere new. On the way she tells fate to decided and where does she end up well in the same town Colton said he was going. Colton has never forgotten Jade. He wished she would have been older so that all the thoughts he has had about her he could have explored. When she cut off their friendship he couldn't believe it. Can these two find a HEA or are they permanently friend zoned?

Amazing story by this author. These characters will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Great start to the Cowboys of Haven series by Jenna Jacob. Colton and Jade were high school friends that had more feelings for each other than friendship. They hid those feelings from each other. When Jade’s life goes to pieces she ends up in her home town. Memory lane here we come. The chemistry between them is scorching when they meet again. Now that ten years has gone by can they tear down the walls that they built to find the HEA they have always wanted together? Enjoyed these characters and the quirkiness of Haven. Definitely have to read more of this series. Loved the authors details to characters and steamy scenes. Nicely done.

The Cowboy's Second Chance at Love by Jenna Jacob is the first book in her Cowboys of Haven series and a heartfelt, steamy, make you swoon story of miscommunication, a teenage love that never died, and the chance to finally find happiness, if you’re prepared to risk your heart. Cowboy stories are my kryptonite, and this one definitely ticks all my sexy, swagger-filled dreams from the time Colton Maddox makes his appearance. A man who has a reputation for nailing anything that moves, reveals a tender, heartfelt and genuine side to his character that brands his presence onto your soul. There was so much to love about this story that it’s best read for yourself but be prepared and have a nice cool drink and maybe a fan on hand as well, as the passion doesn’t just ignite, it explodes into a combustible flame. Patience is now required as I wait for the second book in the series, and it’s going to be a difficult endeavour!

I read this when it was first published as Sin on a stick and if you have previously read it, you need to read the updated version. The extended and updated content gives this book exactly what it needs and the character development for both Jade and Colton. Jenna is known for her sexy and dominant male leads and this didn't disappoint. I love second chance romances and this book gave you everything you are looking for a good read. Jade and Colton are the perfect couple and seeing how their relationship reconnects and develops is an exciting journey.

Colton and Jade are high school friends who lost touch when Colton moved away to help his grandfather on his ranch. Jade was never able to settle down or fully commit to a relationship because she left a lot of things unsaid to Colton. When another relationship implode she drives to Haven to confront her past and see of she can move forward in a happy fulfiling life. When she reaches her destination, she meets some of the crazy habitants of this small caring town and along with Colton she will mend her heart and he will push all her walls down and accept what life has to offer. Together they are finally both whole and can look at and HEA. Bring your tissues as you will need them as this soul reaching story will take you on a wild ride of LOL moments to bawling your eyes out! I volunteered to review this amazing story! Jade has been in love with Colton Maddox but he broke her heart when he leaved her during high school. She was three years older then her. Jade can't keep a boyfriend but cause of her lose love. Now her mother is gone too and she has a problem with losing the people she love. With the break up with Peter her last one because of walking in on him and his phone sex. She packs and leaves, Dawn her friend tell her she need to find Colton and close that book. But little does she know he has feeling for her also. Read and see where they go and if it will last.
