WTH was that?! So much drama and mess for a Christian book. I was NOT rooting for the main couple. I wanted her to leave that fool. The plot twist was horrible and unrealistic.
And that ending… TUH! I would never recommend this book.
This was great! There were some touching moments, as well as moments where I laughed out loud, but I also found some parts towards the end where I side eyed some of the characters. I won't name any names, but you know who you are!
Unfortunately, this book didn’t do it for me. I gave it 3 stars because there was a scripture referenced that really spoke to me. Otherwise, I would have given it 2 stars. The dialogues and scenarios were corny and unbelievable to me. I found myself skipping lots of pages just to get to the end. There is a cliffhanger which was equally unrealistic Hopefully others will enjoy it more than I did.
you ever just want background noise from a movie so you randomly select one to turn on and it’s overwhelmingly subpar but every now and then a scene may grab your attention? this book was the literary version of that for me 🙃
i had just finished reading a couple 4/5 stars so i didn’t mind dipping my toes in the sea of simplicity. it’s a simple story with a simple conflict, an overly simple fmc, and a questionable ending.
very neutral read, but again, it was decent enough to peak my interest at some points so it’s not horrible. i’ll likely finish the series since they’re such short reads and it’s helping me meet my reading goal 😌
Honestly I really don’t care for Stephen Lolol I feel like this book wasn’t what I thought it would be as it is marketed as a Christian book but man did it start with things I wasn’t expecting. I felt for Camille and her struggles but the ending was insane and I just would never 😂. I’ll continue it just to see what comes of it but yeah not what I expected. I’m also interested on seeing how Aries story pans out. 3/5 ⭐️
3.5/5 .....People looking in from the outside may think they have it made, money status and the perfect marriage but they are far from it. I felt like this book will be relatable to some readers because these things do go on in people's lives, the ending was a little crazy but I feel when people are desperate for something that really want they go to extreme measures to try to obtain it. I plan to read the next two books to see how everything will turn out. This was a quick read and it held my interest.
3.5/5*** I feel like the book had so much potential with the characters she created. I understand the sacred matrimony in a marriage.... til' death do us part, but the author could've demonstrated a healthy way of healing from the lies a deceit she had faced and proper justice for theft.
Idk it was sort of highlighting that we should just sweep stuff up under a rug and turn the other cheek.
Oooh this book was good to me. Cliff hangers and all! The book is short. I do think some things could have been developed a little more...some of the conversations...little more detail. But I did enjoy the book! I'll definitely read the others in the series!
In this book you will meet Camille who is a successful and loving wife, whom your heart will grow towards as you begin to understand the extent of her struggles as she tries her best to get through daily life. You will smile with her, laugh with her, as well as cry with her. You will also be introduced to her best friend Asia who is always by her side. These two ladies have been together since college and have always been there for each other. The author made this book a quick read with believable characters and an amazing story line that will have you trying to figure out everyone's next move. I can't leave out Camille's womanizing husband Stephen, who can't control his desires for other women although his wife is all he ever wanted in a woman. Is Stephen cheating ways Camille's only struggle or does something more sinister lie await? Find out as you read and connect with these amazing characters and get drawn into their amazing and very crazy world. After reading this book I realized there was book 2 and dove right into it as well. Great read.
Now that is how you get to the point of the story, cover everything needed and keep you hooked…I’m impressed. For this to be a shorter book than I expected, I feel as though everything was written to—dare I say—perfection. The cliffhanger was also a nice touch…second book, added.
As Long As I Pray By – Teleah Moore Format – Kindle Edition Print Length – 138 Pages Genre – Fiction My Ratings – 4.8/5
This is a generation where people aren't serious about their relationships, where treachery is rampant, and where betrayal is especially rampant among the wealthy. Even though these couples appear to be good enough on the surface, there are issues underneath their relationships that are causing them to lose trust. So, I recently came across Teleah Moore's book As Long As I Pray. Camille King and her husband Stephen are at the centre of the plot. They had been together for 15 years and were a nice pair. Stephen was a privileged husband who was witty, kind, compassionate, and most importantly protective of his wife Camille. The couple, along with their dog Cupid, were living the life of a king and queen. Secrets, lies, betrayals, and disappointments, on the other hand, were a part of their lives far sooner. Everything was normal between the two until Camille discovered a receipt from Stephen's latest work trip, which she found suspicious and questioned whether Stephen's business excursions were for genuine or simply for fun. We also meet Aries, Camille's best friend, who believes that there is something wrong with Camille and Stephen's relationship. Things continued to deteriorate, causing their marriage to suffer. Read the novella to learn more about the characters and how they deal with difficult times in their happy marriage. The book cover has my heart; I adore the colour scheme and it is pleasing to the eyes. The title, on the other hand, suggests a religious angle. I enjoyed the way it was told, and it was a quick read that didn't take me long to finish. While reading the story, the sentence "those things you keep to yourself destroy you from the inside out" has a lot of relevance. I really urge everybody of you to read the story. Happy Reading
It’s easy to claim Christ as your savior but difficult to walk the walk. Camille never did claim to be a Christian. She just wanted a baby. Camille was used to having her way. Everyone submitting to her wishes. She was not blind to Stephen’s cheating she chose to look the other way. Just as she had done in College when Asia told her of seeing Stephen cheating. Camille was not a good friend and showed it time after time. Asia was Camille’s friend. Stephen is a manwhore and no interest in change or God until he needed help. At the end you see who Stephen and Camille Really are. Money is their god. Camille has not forgiven Stephen nor has Stephen forgiven Patrice. They use their wealth to force Patrice into submission to their will. Neither showed faith or forgiveness, just my way or else.
This is my first faith based novel and I absolutely love I it! I found this book while scrolling on Google and had to purchase the series after reading the sample. My favorite character is Aries because some of her struggles are also mines. Deep down she is so sweet. Her story shows us how God could move when we are patient and turn away from the things that keep us from God. I also love how God and prayer was mention throughout this book. This really made me think about how judgemental we could be about forgiving others while also asking for forgiveness for ourselves. Can't wait to see where the second book goes.
3.5/5 ⭐️s - I enjoyed this read. It was short and it kept my attention. The characters were engaging and interesting. I could relate to the decisions that were made by the characters in the book. I appreciated the scripture references in the storyline.
Each character did not have a consistent relationship with God but they prayed for forgiveness in their time of need. Isn’t that what we do sometimes? It was an honest portrayal of what we do when we’re lead by our fleshly desires.
I would recommend this read for the person who is interested in a quick read to enjoy for an afternoon.
There is a storyline and character development, but I was under the impression this was going to be a Christian book. There are references to Christianity, but this book dives deep into the life of sin and the character response during these challenges is not what I would consider Christian. I do not like Stephen’s treatment of women and his assumption that all should be forgiven. I do not like Camille’s twist on things at the end either. They are really spoiled and self indulgent people who are really not nice.
There is stuff happening here. The author takes us inside a mansion to give ring side seats of a perfectly manicured marriage. But even on the most gorgeous garden, some rain will and must fall. Stephen is a good husband in some aspects, but not so good in others. Can wifey trust him again? Can Stephen stop his bad ways? What impact will Stephen ways affect Camille? The stakes are very high for Stephan,
This was an easy and quick read, finished it in 2 sittings. It’s only 138 pages, I need more pages. I think it was a bit of an adjustment not reading a book in the first person. I like to know the characters' thought processes. I feel like it was a fast-paced book, everything was happening quicker than I would have liked but I must say the plot twist got me.
The book series starts off on a lovely note, with the main character's best friend, Aries, being a particularly engaging and well-written personality. The narrative is straightforward and engaging, avoiding any dull or boring moments. Readers are eagerly anticipating the release of the next book in the series, eager to continue the adventure and see what happens next with the captivating characters.
How apropos Mr. Shakespeare, “oh the tangled webs we weave when we practice to deceive”‼️”As Long As I Pray (Talk To God Series - Book 1 of 3)” initially felt disjointed by typical chauvinistic behaviors. However, every trivial event served a greater significance for each character’s journey. Welcome to the judgement zone ….where consequences are adjudicated🧐😮🤭🤷🏾♀️🫣‼️
This is the first time reading a book by this author, it was romantic, emotional Camille and Stephen were high school sweetheart who elope and she was so much in love. Arie her best friend always tell her Stephen is a cheated but she never believe until it walk into her front door .It is a lovely story you all will enjoy.
Wow, this book is very captivating. It starts a good story without it being drawn out or over explained. You really get to know the characters quickly, but it's well written in a way that you don't miss out on knowing their traits. I can't say there is anything I dislike like about the book. The author kept me reading it. I am looking forward to reading book 2.
I couldn’t stop reading this book. I finished it in 3 settings within 4 hours. The storyline was very good, I felt different emotions while reading this book as a married woman. The ending left a cliff hanger I wasn’t expecting. I’m starting the second book of the series right now.
I didn't see the plot twist coming! It was a good read, and I liked the character development. I wasn't a fan of the ending but I'm excited for book 2! It was a quick read and kept my attention. I listened on Audible, but they used AI narration. I didn't like it. I understand wanting to save money, but AI can't match human voices yet.
I loved the fact that the the story is realistic and relatable. When everything seems good, know to stay in prayer. This story reminded me that our plan will never supersede God plans and ways. Don’t just prayer when you’re going through challenges but, pray constantly!
First time reading the author's writing. I'm not trying to discourage the author however, ideas were excellent. There was too much for me to digest with the limited scope.
This story had so many things happening all at the same time, I couldn't turn page fast enough. Emotional highs and lows! Best friends and Best Marriage to split friend and split marriage. Back together or not. Ready to read next book!
Ms. Moore!!!!! Ma’am!!!! What did you write? A masterpiece is what! A page turner that ca only be devoured in one sitting. I was not expecting that ending, that’s all I gotta say.
