What a sensational story in this fabulous new series by Tracie Delaney!! Spine-tingling romance mixed with mystery, action, adventure, bodyguards who are eye candy and women needing their help! Silver is a Pop singer, all glitter and style on the stage but hidden deep inside from everyone is pain, fear and past abuse. A past delicately dealt with by the author, who even offers a warning to any who may be triggered by the content. One of her bodyguards moves on, so her Dad calls Loris at Intrepid Security who sends along ex-Royal Marine 'Crew' Garrett, promising he only needs to last three months this mission. Boy can she push his buttons, driving him crazy, but he can see a little deeper than any have tried before, wondering about some of her relationships and actions. Why does she let her Dad take over for her?
I could Not put this book down for a minute, thoroughly enjoying the war of words between Crew and Silver, and enjoying the easy to follow story. A big 5 STAR from me and I can NOT wait for the next look into the Intrepid Team!!!

Tracey Delaney is certainly exploring her darker, angsty, suspenseful side and I am loving it and her hot, protective Intrepid Bodyguards!
Silver is a successful pop star with the world at her feet, but appearances can be deceiving and she's hiding a dark secret that could destroy her if it gets out. Can new bodyguard Cruise "Crew" Garrett see past the diva defensive attitude to see the real but broken woman hiding inside?
This was a gripping second book in the series, packed full of emotion, suspense, tension and a slow burn fiery passion. It certainly tugged on my heartstrings, I loved it! I loved how Crew slowly got under Silvers defences and earnt her trust, not an easy thing but he was strong, confident, protective, hot (*swoon*) and amazing with her. She grew and bloomed as a character throughout.
The story deals with some difficult issues that might be triggers for some but was written realistically and sensitively with depth and detail, so I really felt their emotions all the way through.
I'm loving this series and with the glimpses we got of boss Loris, I'm really looking forward to what comes next !

What does one do when she is presented with a series of super hot bodyguards? She devours them in one sitting!

Well, I can dream, anyway!
After reading Guard of Honor, I was really excited to read this second instalment. Crew had been mentioned in the above book and his story was one of intrigue. One that I was looking forward to getting my grubby little mitts on. And boy did I do that.

WOW! Totally devoured this second book in the Intrepid Bodyguard Series, this one is my favourite by far i couldn't put this down and stayed up well into the early hours to finished this book.
What a gripping, suspense and emotional ride this author took us on in this story following Silver, a mega popstar that seems to have all the fame and fortune going for her, she is just starting out on her european tour with her new bodyguard Cruse Garrett.
These two clash to start with as Silver is keeping him at arms length as she doesn't want him finding out anything about her at all as she is hiding a huge secret and is terrified that if it gets out she won't be around anymore. Crew breaks her walls down little by little until she has no choice but to reveal her dark secret. This was a slow burn but turns into a heart wrenching romance which will put a smile on your face.

❤️Spoilerfreie Rezension für eine super Serie – absolutes Lesehighlight ❤️
Gerade habe ich das Buch „Silvers Bodyguard“ beendet.
Ich gebe generell keine Zusammenfassung des Buches ab, weil ich der Meinung bin, dass diese auch durch den Klappentext beim Buch schon aussagefähig ist. Insofern schildere ich hier lediglich meine Eindrücke, da dadurch sichergestellt wird, dass definitiv nicht gespoilert wird 😊

Von Tracie Delaney hatte ich bis zu diesem Buch bereits andere Bücher gelesen. Bisher hat mich noch keines enttäuscht. Im Gegenteil: sie stellten sich alle als Pageturner heraus. Wie hat es mir gefallen? Lest selbst! 🥰 – Nur eine klitzekleine Anmerkung: sie hat es schon wieder getan 😮
Titel:
Der Titel passt wirklich 100%ig zu dem Buch. Wobei mir ehrlicherweise der Originaltitel einen Ticken besser gefällt 😉❤️😁!
Schreibstil:
Wieder blieb Tracie sich treu. Auch dieses Buch ist keine Ausnahme. Ich war von Beginn sofort im Buch, das Ganze entwickelt eine absolute Sogwirkung und man will unbedingt weiterlesen um zu erfahren, wie es weitergeht! So weit so gut. Und definitiv Tracey Delaney! Der Schreibstil macht süchtig. Mir bereiten ihre Bücher total viel Spaß bereitet. Warum? Nun ja, auch wenn das Setting nichts wirklich Neues bietet (offensichtlich), so war die Umsetzung wirklich grandios.
Es war extrem mitreißend – dazu auch erschütternd - und auch die Wendungen waren nicht klar ersichtlich! Dazu waren die Charaktere lebensecht beschrieben …( siehe weiter unten 😉) – was will man mehr?
Protagonisten:👍🤗
Wieder einmal kamen diese glaubhaft und authentisch rüber. Die Vorgehensweise und die Dynamik waren äußerst interessant. Dass die Charaktere ihre wirklich schweren (!) Päckchen zu tragen hatten, hat dem Buch und der Geschichte gut getan. Aber zugegebenermaßen war die Thematik zuweilen schwer verdaulich. War es langweilig? Niemals! Gab es liebenswerte Charaktere? Definitiv sehr interessant und mit Ecken und Kanten! Gegenspieler? Gab’s auch *frechgrins*! Also alles gut gelöst? Durchaus. Nur war das Buch in einem Rutsch durchgesuchtet. Das sagt viel aus, oder?
Stimmung/Atmosphäre:
Für mich war es einfach nur passend und stimmig. Das Buch zu lesen berührte, riss mit, begeisterte! Besser kann es nach einem furiosen Serienstart nicht weitergehen!

Wie bereits gesagt: nichts Neues beim Setting, aber eine Umsetzung, die definitiv heraussticht. Unvorhersehbar – und deshalb auch so gut! 😍👍🤗

Silver has had a rough life, even though she hides it well behind her public persona. She's a pop starlet and is seemingly living the life. But life behind the cameras isn't all roses and candy.
Crew doesn't want to get too close to the Diva and her issues, but he sees so much more than she wants him to see. He knows something isn't right and refuses to let it go, working on Silver's walls until she finally lets him in.
When life throws her yet another curve ball and things really get rocky, can Crew save Silver from herself? Or will the darkness she's fought for so long finally win? Can someone who feels so utterly broken really find happiness and love when she is convinced she's beyond redemption?
So many feels, so many gripping moments. This book held me in thrall and cheering for SIlver and Crew from the outset. If you are good with a darker suspenseful read with your side of romance, give this one a chance. Just remember, you've been warned there is a trigger warning for a reason!

Found this book really frustrating. Parts were really good.
So firstly this author is British so I was shocked by all the Americanisms. I’m not saying it ruined it, it was annoying though.
Crew an ex Royal Marine works for a security company as a bodyguard. When his latest job is to protect Silver a pop star, he’s really not happy. Even less so when Silver treats him like a skivvy at first as she’s terrified he’ll find out things about her. As they grow closer, Crew realises that something is really wrong between Silver and her dad. The more he digs, the more Silver panics and holds him at bay.
The negatives for me: It got to near the end of the book, before Silver opens up to Crew. I spent the whole book wishing she would tell him, and let him help her.
It got a bit silly at the end. The storyline was a bit unrealistic.
I did enjoy it. Just felt it wasn’t as good as it could be.

Guard of Silver is the 2nd book in this gripping new series from one of my fave authors Tracie Delaney. Guard of Silver follows the story of Silver, mega popstar who seems to have it all - the fame, the fortune, the adoring fans - Cruise 'Crew' Garrett one of the Intrepid bodyguards temporarily assigned to her security detail. But as Crew soon learns, Silver is masking a deep secret and she's terrified of letting her cover slip. Contrast that with Crew, who is as assured and self confident, happy in his own skin. And as they spend more and more time together, the banter between them brings them closer and closer. As Silver's Guard, his job is to protect Silver at all costs but Crew also needs to protect Silver from herself and from the one person she seems to never be far from. Why is her dad always hovering? Why does he have so much sway over Silver? Crew slowly works his way into Silver's confidence and trust, breaking down those barriers and showing her how to be her true self. Their romance is a slow burner, and I really enjoyed watching them blossom and bloom in this lovely heartwarming story.

This is Crew and Silver’s story, the body guard and the pop princess and what a story it is. At first Silver seems like every diva pop star, she is controlled by her over baring father in every part of her life but then little cracks form in her facade and we start to see the real Silver emerge. Crew knows that there is something not right and along the way she starts to break down his defence and worms herself into his heart. Will Crew ever find out her deepest darkest secrets, will they stand up to her father, will they get the happy ending they deserve. I loved their story. It engaged me right from the start and the more I read the more I loved them. As we are reading we do get to see more of the team and I’m looking forward to reading about them also.

Silver is a famous singer who has carried a secret from an early age her father is her manager also is totally in control of her life ,till crew Garrett becomes her bodyguard they have a few disagreements when he first arrives. He finds it hard to accept the control her father has over her. Slowly they become friends and alittle more in time.this is a very sensitive subject and is felt with through the book. In this book we meet former Royal Marine Crew, who's mission to is guard and protect the singer Silver.
The initial meeting doesn't get off to a good start, especially where Silver's father is concerned.
Silver's father loved her success and the money it brought with it. Crew didn't like how he treated her but he couldn't find out what he had over her.
A great easy to read story continuing the series of the elite armed forces being bodyguards.

The pacing was decent, there were parts that dragged on for longer than I liked especially from the fmc’s pov.
Her feelings towards him were more in gratitude than true lovey dovey emotions. His feelings towards her was honestly confusing cause there wasn’t much of her personality that showed through due to what she went through. The romance aspect was very surface level & too insta-whatever for me personally.

So in love
Absolutely love this series. Was a little apprehensive at first about reading this with it been close to home and love how the author gives the warning at the start. But the way she covers the story she nailed it perfectly. Looking forward to reading rhe rest and moving onto other series by this author.

Saving a Star
The story is more about the star learning to live and want her freedom than really any real need for a bodyguard. I think I wanted a bit of actual stalker fans or something, the father being a creeper was interesting but it wasn't quite enough action adventure for my liking... It not a bad story, but its not too thrilling either.

Loved it
This book was everything and more. I loved Silver and Crew’s story. Brilliant storyline, of the abuse and coercive control Silver suffered at the hands of her Father, someone who should have protected and loved her, but used her to his own gain. So glad Crew was there to help and support her.

Love
I felt so bad for Silver. Her father was a monster and she was his cash cow. Manipulated into believing that he would harm her if she spoke the truth. Enter Crew. Such a savior. Rugged, cute and a good guy. He broke through her walls. I loved seeing her strength grow.

Hooked me in from the very beginning but WHOAH, what a loaded subject you've tackled. Silver really stirred my heartstrings. Just wanted to wrap her up in a hug and tell her it will all be OK!

I couldn’t put it down and had to finish it in one sitting and by the time I had finished I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face. This one will stay with me for a lifetime.

I got more than I expected from the book which made me an emotional wreak with all the emotions.
Silver and Crew draw you towards them sometimes with their banter and sometimes with their crazy attraction.
There are certain instances which could be trigger for some people.
Tracie has written such senstive topics impressively where you feel all the emotions understand the pain yet it doesn't get too much to handle.
Crew made me swoon throughout the read(definitely book boyfriend 😜).
It's a read filled with angst, sorrow, pain, hope, anticipation, love, faith and crazy attraction.
I fell for Loris a bit more and can't wait to read his book.
Sian is one of my favourite side characters.
