Anthony is in trouble. As a witch who can’t do actual magic, he doesn’t have many options. When he escapes his abusive coven, he loses a vital memory. The only person he can turn to is the dragon shifter he can’t get out of his mind. But he doesn’t really know Cuthbert Hoskins – they’ve only ever emailed before now.
‘Dimpy’ Hoskins is worried about his associate… and the witch who turned up out of the blue. When Professor Anthony Beckinsale stops replying to his emails, Dimpy decides to investigate, just to check nothing bad has happened to him. And then, when an unknown witch turns up at Nana’s castle injured, his dragon starts to get riled. But which man should he protect?
As Anthony searches for the pieces of his missing memory, time is running out. The dragon elder doesn’t trust him, his coven is searching for him and there’s something important he’s left behind. Thankfully, he has Cuthbert on his side. The dragon shifter is as brilliant as he is gentle. There’s nobody else Anthony would rather trust with his memories… or his heart.
A slow-burn m/m romance between a clever dragon shifter and the witch he’s been crushing on.

This one has the same level of sweetness as Prince's story. A bit of added excitement, with the whole "escaping a witch cult" thing, but it's sweet overall. I like Anthony and Cuthbert as a couple too
Definitely an uptick in the excitement in this book as well as an expansion of where our characters are being met and it brought some new life to this series!
Cuthbert has been talking to someone online for a bit, always for magical expertise, but it is clear he has a bit of a crush. As we quickly find out the person he is talking to, Anthony, also has a crush. However Anthony lives in a precarious situation with his life in danger and what seems no way out, until he wakes up with no memory escaping his prison. His instincts lead him to the Hoskins and from there we start to unravel what is going on with Anthony.
This was an exciting read as there definitely felt like a clock was ticking in some ways. As the reader you know what Anthony has forgotten and what it means. From not being able to tell Cuthbert who he is at first to knowing that there is a vital piece of his past missing, there is an urgency to getting his memory back. What we learned about witches in the process of this happening really helped to expand the world and also let us learn a bit more about the Hoskins.
When it comes down to it the central romance in this was very sweet. Though there was this urgency and a threat in the background Cuthbert and Anthony are two very sweet and loving characters. They are a bit more innocent and gentle and their families fiercely love and protect them. This sweet core to this urgent situation was a nice ground to this story!

Smart is sexy as a gentle warrior dragon meets an equally gentle witch with very little magic.
A lower key adventure, where a guy finds his penpal, and after a couple close calls, everything works out.
Nana’s grandkids continue to find their fated mates one by one (no idea where the parents are; we only know Prince’s mom mates a wolf shifter, no idea about Lex and Dane—course the long lived dragons may have lots of opportunity to have kids centuries apart).
I enjoyed the story. You can't go wrong with a fated mates dragon story. I liked the MCs and enjoyed seeing them connect and their relationship grow. Looking forward to the next book in the series.
3,5 stars. I really liked this one. I love Dimpy and Ant is great for him. I liked the tension based on the whole amnesia thing and I think it worked pretty well. Not the best in the series but pretty good.
I love this book! Dimpy is so adorable. Anthony is so sweet. They're both nerdy undercover badasses, and I love them. I can't wait to read the next book. This series is amazing!
