No other woman can win his heart, so when his beloved grandmother tells him her dearest wish is to see him settled down, Nate decides it’s the perfect opportunity to convince Damaris they’re meant to be.

After a devastating betrayal years ago, Damaris is still unable to trust or risk her heart—especially with a charming lady-killer like Nate. Against her common sense, she agrees to be Nate’s fake girlfriend and finds herself falling for him harder than she did two years ago.

Can a fake relationship lead to forever?

Two friends, Damaris and Nate, who secretly have a thing for each other, start a fake relationship to fulfill Nate’s grandmother’s wish of seeing Nate settle down. Damaris is all for it until it starts to feel a little too real and Nate confesses his true feelings for her. Even though Damaris has feelings for Nate too, she is leery of a commitment. She was betrayed by her last serious boyfriend and now has trust issues. Nate is going to have to work hard if he is going to convince Damaris that they can be good together.

This is a great addition to the Texas True series. I enjoyed seeing how Damaris and Nate got their happily ever after. This story pulled me in right from the start and kept my attention the entire time. I had a hard time putting this book down. I just wanted these two characters to find happiness.

I received this arc of Texas Cowgirl from Tule Publishing in exchange for an honest review. This is the fourth book in the Texas True series by Eve Gaddy. This book is Damaris Walker’s story. She lives on the family ranch running her paint horse business with her brothers. Nate Kershaw is one of Damaris best friends. They met shortly after he came to Whiskey River as a pilot. He realized that he has more than feelings of friendship towards her and she has kept him solidly in the friend zone.

Nate’s grandmother has made it known that she wants him to settle down and get married. So he asks Damaris to act as his girlfriend so his grandmother will be happy. Damaris won’t let herself have feelings for any man since she was betrayed and hurt badly by the man she was involved with years ago. She thinks of Nate as a player too and is afraid to trust him as her real boyfriend. However she agrees to go along with his scheme to make his grandmother happy. As they spend time together, she starts developing feelings for him but she is terrified to act on them. His feelings for her have grown stronger too. He is hoping that this fake relationship will help him move her into a real one. There is quite a bit of angst in the book as Nate and Damaris work through their feelings. As both hold on to their secrets the reader is hoping they don’t mess up a good thing.

I love how well Eve develops all her characters in the stories. She provides the backstory for them and has them interact with many different people. It is wonderful too that the ones we’ve met in the previous books continue to play a role in the latest book. It is fun too that people from the earlier Texas series are also included in this one as well. I have given this 5 stars and highly recommend this book.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher and I am voluntarily reviewing it.

This is the fourth book of the series. The prior ones were about Damaris’ brothers. Now we have her story. I have loved all of the prior stories and was highly anticipating this one. Ms. Gabby didn’t disappoint here. While it is a part of a series, you don’t have to read the prior ones to fully understand and enjoy this one. Her brothers and their wives make appearances here and I really loved seeing that. It was like seeing old friends again!

The story is written in a dual POV format. That is my favorite kind. Getting that glimpse into the character’s thoughts really help me to better understand and connect with them.

Nate is a pilot out of the airport in Whiskey River. He and Damaris have been friends for several years. They tried dating a few years ago before Damaris “friend-zoned” him. After trying to move on, Nate realizes that he wants more with Damaris. The perfect opportunity comes along when his grandmother cries that she wants to see him married before she dies.

As these two navigate their way into a fake relationship, they have to overcome several hurdles along the way. I truly fell in love with Nate myself when he turns down the opportunity to have a “friends-with-benefits” relationship in their fake relationship. He wants something more substantial with Damaris and not just sex. How refreshing to see a noble characteristic in a contemporary romance these days.

This is a sexy read so if you aren’t into that, just a little warning. I would skip over it so I wouldn’t miss out on this great story if I were you.

4.5/5 - Texas Cowgirl by Eve Gaddy, book four in her Texas True series, has friends Damaris Walker and Nate Kershaw, who secretly have a thing for each other, start a fake relationship to fulfill Nate’s grandmother’s wish of seeing him settle down, before anything happens to her.

Damaris is all for it until it starts to feel a little too real and Nate confesses his true feelings for her. Even though Damaris has feelings for Nate too, she is leery of a commitment after a betrayal by her last serious boyfriend; causing her to have trust issues with men. Nate knows he’s going to have to work hard if he is going to convince Damaris that they can be good together. He is determined not to have a “friends-with-benefits” relationship; he wants a more meaningful relationship with Damaris, not just to burn up the sheets with their sizzling chemistry..

Ms Gaddy wrote a wonderfully, sizzling and emotional story in a dual POV format that should not to be missed. She provided a tale rich with off the charts, sizzling chemistry, intense emotions, and charming secondary characters rooting for Damaris and Nate as they find love and get that future they deserve, together. I highly recommend Texas Cowgirl to other readers and look forward to the next book in this series.

The fourth Texas True book by Eve Gaddy is a combination of the local air flight company and the Walkers who have made up the rest of the True stories. Pilot Nate Kershaw is easy to like and love in his endeavor to win the heart of the woman he loves and please his grandmother at the same time. Said woman, rancher, and cowgirl, Damaris Walker is prickly making her not the easy one in this relationship story. However, she likes Nate’s grandmother so I was pulling for her from the beginning when Nate came up with his outrageous scheme.

Catch his cowgirl and give grandmother just what she is wanting, a happily married grandson brings the entire Whiskey River community giving advice and cheering them on. Nate’s plan starts out well enough but of course there are problems with the execution of it. Will he convince Damaris to take a chance on a happily-ever-after with him is the focus of this story. I do like how they were already friends and that it is not Nate who is dragging his heels.

Romance from beginning to end this is an easy story to get lost in while reading. Pure escapism with family, neighbors, horses and dogs added at just the right time..

An ARC of the book was given to me by Tule Publishing which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

We are back in Whiskey River and this time the story belongs to Damaris, another of the Walker siblings.
Damaris is a cowgirl true and true, and works on the family’s ranch. After a betrayal in college, she is not interested in a relationship.
Meanwhile, Nate Kershaw, is one of her best friends. He’s a pilot and considered by many, a player. What they don’t know is that he has been smitten by Damaris from day one. But she’s skittish, and he’s taking his time.
That all changes when Nate’s grandmother wants him to settle down.
From that point on, a fake relationship and engagement ensures. But what happens when the friendship becomes more than that? Can Nate convince Damaris the risk of giving her heart is worth it?
Though it wasn’t my favorite story of the series and at times Damaris was not favorite person, it was an entertaining story and a good addition to the series. I was entrusted a copy of this book by Tule Publishing. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

I would like to thank Tule Publishing and Eve Gaddy for the E ARC of this book. This is the 4th book in the Texas True series.
We meet Nate and Damaris; they are friends but Nate wishes they were more than friends. Unfortunately, Nate has a bit of a reputation as a playboy and Damaris is not wanting to be involved with someone like that – she has been bitten before. Nate is a pilot at the local airport, while Damaris helps run a local ranch.
However, Nate asks Damaris if she will be his fake girlfriend to try and ease his grandmother’s mind. His Grandmother wants to see Nate settle down. Damaris is not sure about this but agrees. As they spend time together and really get to know each other, could their feelings develop? Can Damaris learn to trust a man again? Will Damaris see beyond the reputation?
I enjoyed the interplay between Nate and Damaris, Nate’s Grandmother was a lovely character. The situation of the fake relationship was really well written and the characters were believable. I enjoyed the relationship Damaris has with her family and friends and how they all were happy to give her a nudge and advise when need or wanted. The small-town setting was lovely and I enjoyed my visit there.
I did not feel that I was missing anything having not read the first 3 books in this series and I will be going back to read the previous books. I look forward to the next book in this series.
I would recommend this book.

Damaris loves her paint horses. When Damaris is not out with her girlfriends or seeing her best friend Nate, she is working hard on her family ranch. After being betrayed in college, Damaris isn't interested in romance. Nate fell in love with Damaris two years ago, but she has friend zoned him. When Nate's ninety-two grandmother wants him to get married before she dies, Nate asks Damaris to be his fake girlfriend hoping that she will fall for him. I received a free copy of this ebook from the author. This is my honest and voluntarily given review. I love this book and the series. The story and the characters pull me in right away. Nate and Damaris are such wonderful realistic characters. There is humor, romance, and a little bit of steam in the story. I can't wait for the next book in this series.

Really enjoyed this one. This book was well written and did a wonderful job giving me all the feels. This was a couple that developed extremely well with enough angst to bring more satisfaction to the ending. Both characters made some mistakes and that’s where my appreciation of the story grew. I’ve been following this series since the first book and I’m looking forward to the last couple of siblings to get their happily ever after. I definitely recommend a series and if you haven’t read any of the books yet, you won’t need to in order to follow along with this; it can be read as a stand alone but I think you’ll enjoy it more if you read from the beginning.

This is my honest and unbiased review and I thank you for taking the time to read it.

Nate loves Damaris. They are only close friends by her choice not his. A few years ago they shared a kiss that she was not ready for. She has some major trust issues from the damage caused by her ex. When Nate's grandmother pressures him to get settled before she is gone he comes up with a plan to make Damaris his fake girlfriend. Reluctantly she goes along with it because she loves his grandmother. The deeper they get into their lie the stronger Damaris' feeling get. She is torn between letting things take their course and protecting her heart from possibly being broken again. I loved this story. Even though the fake girlfriend is a very common theme this one was well done. Definitely a great read.

Another fun book in this series They are all light hearted fun reads that have enough in them to keep you engaged but are also light enough for when you want something light to read

Nate Kershaw may have a reputation as a bit of a playboy but he has always secretly hankered after his friend Damaris Walker in fact they shared a kiss when they where younger and he has never forgotten it Now is grandmother wants to see him settle down and who better to pretend to have a relationship with than Damaris but she doesn't trust men after her boyfriend betrayed her. As feelings start to grow Damaris pulls away can Nate convince her she is the one for him and that they can have a future together

Wow what a great read. Texas Cowgirl is the fourth book in this series and it was a great addition. I loved Nate and Damaris story. They are friends and Nate really wants more but Damaris thinks Nate is a player. Nates grandmother wants to see him settled down so he comes up with a plan. He asks Damaris to be his fake girlfriend. Will Nate be able to prove to Damaris that he really isn't the player she thinks he is? Will fake become real? Pick up this book to find out you will not be disappointed. He is a pilot. She is a rancher. He wants her love to take flight. She wants it grounded. Nate is willing to do all it takes to make his fake girlfriend, Damaris, to fall in love with him. She is leery even if her heart is not. This is a super engaging story.

Love finds a way

What a way for Damaris to realise that she was in love with Nate. She had spent some years telling him that they were just friends. Mate came up with the idea of fake dating to make his grandmother happy. Luckily after a while and a few issues they found their happily ever after.

Nate has wanted a chance with Damaris since he first met her, but she put him in the friend zone. Can getting her to agree to a fake relationship and spend time with be enough to change her mind and give him a chance at a real relationship?

I enjoyed Damaris & Nate’s story, it was sweet & sexy but also frustrating. I loved Nate, his charm & determination made him sexy as heck & the fact that he’d come up with a plan to please his grandmother & try to win Damaris’s love as well was sweet. Damaris frustrated me, because she was so independent & determined to keep Nate in the friend zone even though she really liked him. As they follow Nate’s plan to make his grandmother happy they get closer & both fall more in love with the other. When Damaris finds out Nate really loves her & there used his grandmother’s happiness as a ruse to make her love him, she’s furious. It takes 2 accidents to make Damaris see how wrong she’s been. I always enjoy author Eve Gaddy’s stories & her storytelling & this one was no different. Thank you to Tule publishing & author Eve Gaddy for letting me read this book for an honest review.
