Action, suspense and some seriously intense men 😳😍
What happens after not seeing the man who rocked your world for 5 years? Did you think you'd be watching him get shot? I'm sure MI6 agent Quinn didn't see that coming!?!
Luke and Quinns chemistry is off the charts... Luke is Ex Navy Seal and now he's working for Cross Security, when they meet again it's like time stops and everything else fades away.
I wish I could say it's smooth sailing 😉 after that but let's be honest sh*t gets real.

Luke and Quinn have an unforgettable hot and steamy one night stand that leaves them both longing for more. Years later they happen upon each other again but for another reason.
This story was full of sexy sparks filled with tension between the two main characters. It also had a “military” rescue mission packed full of action, adventure and suspense that made it hard to put down. It had equal parts of romance and intrigue to make it an excellent read. I highly recommend this story and author for your future reads.

This book was a pleasure to read and l really enjoyed how it was from both points of view with overlapping parts from Luke and Quinn. The characters and story line was full of tension and hot steamy moments🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. The book had just the right amount of everything that's needed to make a great story and keep you hooked.
This is the first book l have read by this author and would definitely recommend her books. Look forward to reading the next books in the series.

Told in duo POV with some overlapping timeline between them so you get to see what both of them are doing (this is mainly when they aren’t together so no major repeating happening). Story starts with a one night stand that leaves an impression on both of them then chance brings them together 5 years later in an exciting rescue mission/takedown. Ex military. First half is full of the planning and rescue and the second half focuses more on their relationship and steamy scenes. Goo, stand-alone romance with plenty more to come with the other characters.
Read authors note below for suggested reading order but I did not read A black stone series first and I had no issues with this book. I’m sure some of the characters I would’ve known better but I enjoyed it still.
Authors note: Luke is book one of the Cross Security series. It can be read as a standalone novel. However, Luke previously appears in both Mr. Black and Mr. Stone, books one and two of A Black Stone Series. You may want to consider reading those books to understand some characters and events.

I loved the characters and the security job. This was such a good book. If you are looking for a security/crime investigation/romance book, this is the one for you. I love how the book started, and the ending just made me so happy. With this only being the first book, I can not wait to see what happens with the security team. I also hope to catch updates on the main couple of the book.

I was lucky enough to arc for this 😍 Luke is book one of the brand new Cross Security series but he has made appearances in the black stone series 😍
Luke is the first book I've read by Nancy Brown and also my first Navy Seal / MI6 read. The first chapter will have you hooked on the sparks between Luke and the Red headed beauty Quinn 🔥🔥🔥 but its five years later when the pair finally lay eyes on each other again whilst rescuing Lukes twin brother on a CIA mission.
It's an intense read with some bad ass men and women, gorgeous twin brothers, a fiery red head, a good bottle of whisky and an intense level of chemistry 😏🔥
We meet a host of people in this book but it doesn't end there we get to look forward to two more character books coming soon 😍

This is the first book that I have read of Nancy's and I liked it. A one-night stand brings the main characters together and five years later brings them together again while working on a mission. With dual POVs, it was easy to feel the characters' emotions. I usually don't read novels with explicit scenes but I enjoyed this story very much. Great job Nancy!

We love a strong FMC!
Quinn is strong and smart and wonderfully independent. Luke is her match in every way, and they compliment each other so well. I didn’t read any of the other book series by this author, and wasn’t too lost, so feel free to jump into this world here. I will be reading the next book for sure!

This book is a fast-paced, sexy thrill ride. Luke is a tall, broad and brawny former Special Ops SEAL, now security specialist. Quinn is a gorgeous and curvy redhead who just happens to be a MI6 agent. She and Luke had a very steamy and passionate encounter five years ago and neither has been able to forget the other. Fate has seen fit to reunite them through a dangerous and volatile mission. Luke’s twin brother, Liam, has been drawn into the situation as well. Luke joins his colleagues, MI6 and a few others agencies as they attempt to control the situation, apprehend the people responsible for it, and rescue both Liam and Quinn, as well as numerous innocent victims.
Quinn and Luke are rather evenly matched when it comes to their skills and both have more than enough reason to avoid love and relationships. Neither can deny their attraction to the other, their white hot chemistry or the powerful need to reconnect. They both aren’t sure just what those deeper emotions they are feeling are or if they want to do anything about them until another near fatal situation makes it clear that they might not get another chance. They decide to take a leap into the unknown and explore what it is between them.
I appreciated the action, the fast pace and the intrigue of the story. I loved the relationships between the two brothers, between Luke and his colleagues, and between Quinn and Chris. The trust, the deep connections and the loyalties are a big part of this story. I enjoyed the evolution of Luke and Quinn’s relationship as they realized that there was more than just attraction and lust involved. The danger, suspense and unexpected twists make this book a compelling read.
I won’t hesitate to recommend this book to those who enjoy spicy romance with a good dose of suspense.

I’m so happy with this first book in this spinoff series! Luke is the perfect choice to start this new series.
Luke meets Quinn and they have one wild, steamy, passionate night together.
Years pass and Luke’s twin brother is set to leave to military and join Luke at Cross Security when during his last assignment, Liam is shot and taken. Imagine Luke’s surprise when the M16 agent that goes undercover to take down the man that shot and took his brother is none other than Quinn.
Quinn is shocked to see a man that she thinks is Luke being shot and taken away by the human trafficker that she is working on ending his operation. More shocking is when she is captured as well, one of the men that come to rescue everyone is actually Luke.
They can’t deny that they are still very attracted to each other, but being in different countries makes it difficult to see what could be.
When an unexpected job offer comes Quinn’s way and she finds herself in the same city as Luke, it seems like a perfect opportunity for them to see what they could actually be and if they could make it work.
Liam is hysterical and characters from the previous series make appearances which is always a great bonus.
The chemistry they have is off the charts and it is very spicy with a wonderful balance with heartwarming character development for both the MC.
The build up for future stories is blended in so well and it was a pleasure to read and makes me want many more books in the series.

But he doesnt realize that Quinn is going to be someone that will help him get his brother back. These two run into each other rescuing his brother and pick up from that night 5 years ago. Luke and Quinn have amazing chemistry with each other. They are both in the security line and know how the lifestyle is. This deals with a second chance love story as these characters had previously met five years ago and now get to rekindle some of their feelings.
I liked these two characters together as they seemed to understand each other very well and were able to communicate in a healthy way. There is some drama involved with the case they are involved in, but this brings them closer together and willing to be fully open about their feelings for each other.

I absolutely loved Luke's story. His connection with Liam is off the charts and the emotions between them made me tear up multiple times. Loved how Luke and Quinn originally met and then met again years later. Such a strong connection between them. So much steam and romance and loved the banter. Great book! Can't wait to read Liam's story but want to finish up with Hawk and Christ first. Love all of Nancy Brown's books!

I absolutely loved this book! I am totally looking forward to the next books in the series because I know they're going to be EPIC. I couldn't get enough of Luke and Quinn, such a unique couple. This book is filled with twists and turns, action, suspense, angst, and sexy scenes that'll leave you sweating. Definitely a must read!!!!

book was okay in general... however there are more telling than showing thus it feels a little narrated. and there was a scene that reminds me of the movie "taken" starring liam neeson, lol.

Luke was in London after retiring from the navy seals. He was in a bar on his last night and that is where he met Quinn. They ended up spending the night together. He didn’t see her for 5 years. He never stopped thinking about her. She stayed in London and worked for MI6. She went there right after college. That is where she met her partner Chris. One day they were following a guy they were doing surveillance on. He pulled up to a mall parking lot to have a meeting and that is where she saw someone she thought she knew. It turns out it was Luke’s twin brother Liam but she didn’t know that. She had to get on to the property where they were keeping Liam. She ended up meeting with her target at his bar. He ended up drugging her and taking her back to his house. He was a human trafficker so he had plans for her. She ended up staying on the property for 10 days or so and then everything happened. Everyone was rescued and they arrested all the people involved. The one who purchased Quinn was let out of jail and he went to Quinn’s house and she fought like heck to get away. Luckily her partner had warned her and he was on the way. Chris took care of it and got Quinn to the hospital. He ended up calling Luke and he immediately flew out to London. Quinn was in a medically induced coma for days. She ended up going to New York with Luke when she was able to be released. Everything played out from there. So good. I loved this book and everything Nancy has written.
