I was really excited about this read, to see where Hendrix and Cassidy would go after leaving the island. Miss Cassidy went through it, and took me right along with her! Let me tell you, I'm fussing at her, got a tension headache and my pressure up! 😂 Now, I can't imagine the pressure and feelings of insecurity, one might feel dealing with a celebrity. But, sis really? You gotta give that man a chance! You can't allow the mistakes of your ex, or your past for that matter rule your future! Hendrix! He has to be the most patient man on earth! While it hurt him, he knew that Cassidy needed time to deal with her issues; and ultimately decide what she wanted. Sooooo glad that both found their forever. That ending was everything! Great read! 👍👍👍
Once Cass got out of her own head she finally realized her worth. Finally... The real Man of Hendrix was evident from the beginning... It was made even c!water after he visited his pops and got his head over the fact he was traded... For both. Time healed all wounds. Cass and her moms relationship finally got better. Too bad her mom had to give her bad news to make it better.. That marriage proposal. The best.. Maybe later we will get a novella about their married life and all those kids they freaky selves have.
Cassidy had me so stressed in this book. I love Hendrix so much. He was so attentive and intentional and it will always do it for me when a man can stand his ground and as much as he loves Cassidy he has no problem putting her in her place.
Naturally I got Cassidy's reservations but I did thing she could've dealt with things better. I was glad she worked on herself and apologized because that needed to happen.
Overall I wished we had seen more of them as couple but it was still a nice way to wrap up their story.
This is part two of Hendrix and Cassidy’s story. They continue dating long distance but Cassidy is still expecting Hendrix to do her wrong. He’s doing all he can to alleviate her fears but then he tells her that it’s up to her to decide how she wants to proceed. Cassidy finally faces some hard truths and realize that she doesn’t want to lose her good man.
My first book with hints of Christmas 🎄 in it this season! Cass has me side eyeing dating ballers. Hendrix wasn’t in the wrong but he knew her hang ups and need to be more mindful of his surroundings. These ballers girls/ wives have to ignore a bunch of bull or travel with their partners. It’s a hard knock life! I love the friendship amongst the ladies.
Hendrix and Cass finally got it together. Her insecurities almost cost her her man. Cass needed to realize that all men are not the same. Hendrix really loved her. I am so happy for them. Going to miss reading about them. Maybe we can get updates on their lives. Very good book.
3.5 stars This was the drama filled conclusion I needed to book 1! There are break ups to make ups, possible side-piece rumors and hurt feelings. While that would be enough, I did appreciate that both Hendrix and Cassidy took the time to speak on their concerns, reflect on their words and legitimately try to be better people for each other.
Cassidy really had to work on herself and address her past hurts because that short conversation with Omar was needed. Liked how Lauryn and her friends supported her. Hendrix held his ground and knew what he wanted. The break between the Cassidy and Hendrix was needed and the life awakenings helped them see what and who they wanted. Nice ending for the two of them.
Cass and Hendrix part 2 was the ending we needed! Cass had to figure out what she wanted and needed! Life throws you curve balls you have to work through them and heal! I loved this book!
Hendrix was true the man. So glad Cassidy get her self together and didn't lose a good man like Hendrix. This story spoke on how we carry past hurt into new relationships without out healing. Loved it!
I truly enjoyed this love story from part 1! Hendrix is truly a Man big on what he says and how he feels and I loved it and glad Cass got her mind right! Again, I loved the story and can’t wait for the next installment!!
Relationships take Real effort. Add a professional job to the mix and things can get crazy quickly. Hendrix and Cassidy had much love for one another, but they had to navigate past Cassidy's fears that the relationship was doomed to fail.
I Love Everything About This Book But For Minute She Making Me Mad At Her She Got IT Together This IS A Must READ.I Know This CAN'T Be The End Of The STORY We A WEDDING AND MAYBE Some KIDS.❤️❤️❤️
So it was tied up so perfectly in a neat lil bow. BUT that petty side still wanted that ol' trifling ex to get beat up🙄 if you like a sports bae romance this is it!
This follow-up to Hendrix and Cassidy was a rollercoaster worth getting dizzy on. Cassidy had valid reasons to pump the breaks and cruise into an exploratory romance with Hendrix. I loved that her friends allowed her to feel all her feelings yet still called her on her logic. Hendrix was as rough as I expected. Though delicate with her feelings and being sure not to invalidate them, even though I would not have condemned him for it, he was still a gentle giant with her. K.L. Hall did a phenomenal job putting Cassidy's character flaws on display and showing how even a strong female protagonist can be the culprit of her romantic misfortunes. There was this one scene that unfolded that was indeed a glimpse at just how contrasting two sides of the same coin can be. The placement of supporting characters was thoughtfully rolled out and aided in the pen-perfect plot points that pulled this much-appreciated continuation. From the very first line to 'the end,' I was drawn in and remained captivated by the storytelling.
