Harry Potter FF Hermione Jean Granger/ Draco Lucius Malfoy
“Okay, what we know so far.” Hermione listed, "One, our magic is drawing us together. Two, we can use each other’s wands. Three, there were actual sparks when you touched me."
After an infant binding ritual magically joins Hermione and Draco to counteract the Black family blood curse, they must navigate the secret binding through their years together at Hogwarts.
No, no, no thank you. I have no problems with it being something others enjoy, but it was not for me.
I love Dramione. I was intrigued by the idea of a magical bonding, but I was hoping for a little bit of discomfort before forming a relationship…but no. Instalove is a hard no for me for this pairing.
I did literally laugh out loud about the line of Harry saying the only thing he’s ever been bad at is dying, but only because it was so ridiculous.
If you’re looking for something light after reading a heavier fanfiction, though, and don’t mind an instalove connection, you might enjoy this for the fluff.
Narcissa decided to cast the binding spell where Draco will find his soul mate to prevent him for succumbing to the Black’s curse. Draco and Hermione are drawn to one another since the start and secretly begin their relationship in Hogwarts.
I don’t think I was in the mood for middle/high school fluff. Or perhaps I have grown out of reading Dramione in their teens and pre war.
No ratings because it would be unfair just because I dislike the setting and age of the characters thus couldn’t relate to the story at all.
My two favorite things: fated mates and dramione. This follows their relationship through most of the Hogwarts years, and sticks pretty close to cannon events. So you know when things are about to go bad, and it broke my heart all over again. I loved it.
Another dramione fic? Don’t mind if I do. This one was cute. It was very fluffy. I’m not usually a fluff girly, but the plot was good and the characters were a lot of fun. Also, this fic made me chuckle. One of my highlights was the running joke that Harry is “just really bad at dying.” That’s hilarious.
“Hermione tilted her head back and forth as she pondered. “I think it was during the bullies to be honest. She almost called you ‘dad’ at the end of last year when she was complaining about how you handled the Tomas thing.”
“She’s still too young to date,” he grumbled under his breath. “All the boys are wankers at that age.”
She chuckled. “Think if you told her to go to her room that she’d listen to you?”
“When has she ever listened to me?” Draco sighed, exasperated. “Kids.”
“Oh, our little Hufflepuff.”
“Going to be quite confusing around the home if we do name kids after her,” Draco started, raising his brows jokingly at Hermione.
“You mean how will we distinguish her from little Amelia and little Amelio?” she quipped, laughing into his shoulder.
“Merlin, those better not be the names you pick for our future children.”
the ships were so good 🙌🙌🙌 dramione tharry bluna ronsy
“After spending months worrying and fighting his emotions, she did not even think to look at him. He resolved to forget all about that swotty Hermione Granger”
Perhaps he could offer friendship to Harry Potter in order to get closer to the witch—there was no way he would try to befriend a Weasley.
One day, these feelings exploded during an argument about which team had the pitch for Quidditch practice. She had stuck up for the Weasley and insinuated that Draco bought his way onto the Slytherin Quidditch team. He saw red. Feeling like a man possessed, he spat vitriol at them and called her a Mudblood, wanting to hurt her like she had hurt him every single day with her apathy.
4.5 ⭐️ guys! This one is may be a favorite for me now! I loved the cohesiveness she kept with the original HP storyline but twisted things a bit so the story was different but still the same!
I cannot believe how in love I am with this story. A Dramione soul bond through their years at Hogwarts. The writing and plot details were so intricate. I loved every single second of their relationship. The reveal for Ron at the last battle was hilarious. And the ending was perfect.
23 Dec Reread: Amazing as ever. Am still invested in the whole plot and relationships.
« “In my defense, I was young and an idiot.” He shrugged. “That was literally seven months ago,” she said, deadpan. “…and I’m literally still young and an idiot.” He shrugged again. »
« Closing his eyes, he placed his hands over hers. “I was just thinking of another life where we could have been us without all this.” He opened his eyes, looking into hers. “I just hope that in another life you would still choose me.” His words shattered her heart. She tucked herself against his chest, feeling the gentle pounding of his heartbeat against her cheek. “In any life, I would want you. In any version of us, I would love you. In any reality, I would choose you,” she promised, her voice soft. »
« He wrapped his arms around her waist, tucking his head on her shoulder as he watched Scorpius and Rose play. “It’s the first page—a new story.” They watched as Scorpius followed Rose around the yard as if an invisible tether connected the two. Hermione’s eyes fixed on the small rune marking on Rose’s ankle, barely visible. Happy tears spilled down her cheeks as she leaned back against her husband, closing her eyes. “It’s the best part.” » A perfect ending 💖
the soulmate trope is one of my FAVOURITE tropes and this book was no exception. Draco and Hermione were so cute in this book together and supporting each other through everything, especially in their later years. Narcissa is that bitch and will be that bitch as she will do nothing less for her family. I read this book in 2 sittings and loved it all, stayed up to finish it all night. I cant wait to reread it in the future
This one had a lot of features that I usually don’t like (most notably: it’s essentially a rewrite of the books starting from first year, but from Draco & Hermione’s perspectives because it’s their love story, so it all happens at Hogwarts during their school years and of course they’re kids for the whole thing until a couple of epilogue scenes) and honestly parts of it even squicked me out a bit. But overall it was fluffy and light enough that I kind of enjoyed it. Certainly not one of my favourites but all right I guess. Weird that it’s not the first one I’ve read where Draco Malfoy is into Star Wars lol
Note to self: in this one there’s a curse on the Black family where they go crazy (a la Bellatrix) if they aren’t bonded to another witch/wizard to stabilise their magic, or something like that, so when DM is born Narcissa casts a binding spell and wouldn’t you know it, the magic randomly selects HG for him to be bonded to. They meet in first year at Hogwarts and it all proceeds from there. DM and later the other Malfoys too help with the Order side of the war, and the DA at school and that sort of thing, so overall there’s less death & destruction than in the books.
Story also features HP with TN - not the first time I’ve read this pairing but honestly I was a little disappointed by it this time. And RW with PP - not the first time I’ve read this pairing either and not as good as some of the other renditions of it, but not bad and there’s quite a good little one-shot of PP meeting the Weasleys which is very sweet and fluffy. And BZ with Luna, mostly in the background, I guess I’m just cataloguing it because I don’t have much to say, it’s a fairly common pairing.

Great soul bonding fic. Year 7 and onward to the battle of Hogwarts was the best parts of the story.
The only negative I have was the writing of explicit sex scenes between consenting minors. It was uncomfortable to read (and this is coming from someone that likes these sort of scenes but between consenting adults.) Fade to black or the insinuation between the two would have been preferred.
Some of the best parts beyond the Dramione aspect were the POVs and love declaration of Harry with Theo. And Pansy arc. It was fantastic to read. Also loved Narcissa in this one. When she is written as strong supporter of Draco's love and feelings for his witch, it makes the story so much better
I will say that I normally don't read stories that start in the younger years because I find I struggle with them. But this one was really good. I recommend if you're looking for fluff and a little bit of humor with a large amount of binding magic. Watch the two grow up together while trying to figure out this whole bond thing.
The story starts with Narcissa giving birth to Draco and using a binding spell to keep a bloodline curse from affecting him as he gets older. Surprise! He's bound to Hermione. Hermione is still a Muggleborn. Draco is still a Pureblood. They still attend Hogwarts together. And it takes them a little bit to get it together. But once they do? It all starts to connect from there.
3.5⭐️ This story was soooo incredibly cute, romantic, and also heart breaking even though it’s a HEA. Draco and Hermione are bound at birth by a spell that they discover through their Hogwart years. Starting from first year all the way to year 7 and epilogue, but in an AU so many things are the same but many things are different too. I was hoping for something that had Hogwarts years as their flashback history, but then more of an adult discovery of their relationship, however I still enjoyed it! Their little games and times together were fun. It did have a lot of angst bc this was pre and during the Hogwarts battle, so a tad too much angst for me. Worth the read?: YES Reread?: NO
The plot was not bad, I liked how canon events played out with soulmate bond, but too much fluff for me. Probably the fluffiest book ever. Nothing bad happened at all. Characters were quite one-dimensional, I can’t tell apart Draco, Harry, Theo and Ron. Especially Harry and Theo, they were more like twins separated from birth than lovers, because they have same qualities. Moreover Draco, Harry, Hermione and Ron have zero flaws they had from original books, that what makes them extremely unbelievable. This was entertaining, but you don’t care/worry about characters because they feel more like dolls, than actual people.
Chicken soup which I was looking for. Super sweet, amazing details. Felt like it could be canon. Reminded me of Feysand bond in ACOTAR (without everyone having a mate which I like). My only complaint was the Pansy chapter made the ending feel choppy (and I’m personally a Panville fan) but the Pansy meeting the Weasleys epilogue and the Scorpius - Rose bond more than made up for it. Love Charles the Peacock and their rings and supportive Malfoys and good battle strategy and sassy adopted Hufflepuff. Spice level: low but that’s okay not everything needs to be spicy. I’d probably say 4.75 just because it’s not my favorite Dramoine but I did absolutely love it.
So excited to read this but i think my expectations are too high,so…
Quite a refreshing take on dramione, i dare say that this is more into YA category even when it’s supposed to go with harry potter journey from beginning to war time. It’s pretty bland, i mean it takes such an interesting plot/idea but somehow the execution kinda off? It’s good, but it didn’t leave any impression.
More suitable for younger audience i guess? Or maybe because I’m so used to Voldemort wins au that this fic kinda feel like child play😌😌

It was hard to decide between 4 stars or 5, I really enjoyed this book. The soulmate trope is just so good, I never get tired of it. Amelia was the best addition to this story ever. And while it got a little repetitive with the 4 Slytherins dating the golden trio and Luna, I can't be mad at it. I'm so far down this Dramione rabbit hole for the third time in 2 years, who knows if I'll ever leave. I could read retellings of Draco and Hermione for decades and never get tired, they're always so fresh and interesting.
this was soooooo cute. I love the soulmate trope so much and this was so well written. Also a sucker for hidden relationships and I ate this up. Jus kinda wish they made more use of the bond yanno? Like I wish they could’ve explored the combined magic aspect some more. Loved the epilogue and all the relationships across hogwarts houses. This was a LONG FIC but I couldn’t get enough of it. I kept saying to myself “one more chapter”. Bravo
It's been a while since I've read a dramione fanfic, and this one didn't disappoint! It was very interesting and entertaining. I really enjoyed the pairings besides Draco and Hermione, of course 😂. This author has a way with words, and many moments were so wholesome or funny that I found myself laughing or emotional from time to time. I absolutely adored the extra chapter with Ron's family, I was constantly on the brink of tears with that one.
I thought this was a nice story when many cute and funny moments, but the insta-love wasn’t for me. Nor was everyone’s easy acceptance to the relationship. This was well-written and, again, there were many adorable and funny moments that I enjoyed, but not something I’d read again. I’m anti insta love unfortunately
Also the page count on goodreads is inaccurate. This was closer to 700 pages
I enjoyed this story even though I struggled with the pacing in some parts. There was an underage sex scene that made me squirm in discomfort and skim (they weer 15). The action really picked up about the last 30%. Loved the Harry/Theo pairings. The surprise Ron/Pansy pairing was one I didn't even know I needed. Usually read Hansy but the was a pleasant first. I'll look out for that pairing in the future.
Started strong, and the binding concept was intriguing, but dragged through 5th and 6th year incredibly slowly. All the characters spoke like Ron Weasley and used terms like "bloke" and "mate" way too often. Only a few characters actually felt genuine.
This easily became my top dramonie fanfic. This was the happy heartfelt escape I needed from my life right now ❤️ Harry and Theo paring was something I never knew I needed and don’t get me started on Ron and pansy. Sometimes a fanfic where everything goes well is all that’s needed. I loved every moment of this and will recommend it for the end of time.

Omg so cute!! There were so many different interesting aspects to this fic to side pairings, to plot twists and the way that the emotions were portrayed was just incredible! That relationship was just beautiful!! Loved it!!!
Decent soulmate AU. Writing felt rushed and weak near the end with little explanation. First two thirds were excellent. I like the addition of the curse as the reason for the binding. Missed opportunity not discussing it with Sirius tho.
Super optimistic retelling of the last few books from Hermione and Draco’s point of view. Magical soul bonding ties them, and that changes everything. All the slytherins are retold with some distinctly gryffindor characteristics, and even Narcissa and Lucius are redeemed. Light and fluffy.
