Silver Coyle thought she was doing the right thing—see something, say something. Now she finds herself kidnapped, chained to a pipe in the hull of a ship, and on a collision course with death. Her only chance of rescue is from the one man she never wants to see again—Weston Beil—the know-it-all former SEAL. He’s bossy, arrogant, and sexy all wrapped up in a tough-guy package. Untouchable. But that doesn’t stop the man from sending shivers of excitement racing down her spine.
Weston Beil didn’t want to be right, he didn’t want to say I told you so, but there it was—the beautiful Silver was caught in the middle of a drug war just like he’d warned. The woman was headstrong and stubborn. She tested his limits, pushed his buttons, and set his body on fire. Weston had a plan, he was prepared to use everything in his arsenal to prove to Silver she was his. Only there’s a glitch in Weston’s plan—Silver might not stay alive long enough for him to claim his treasure and convince her he’s fallen in love.

The following ratings are out of 5: Romance: 💚💜💙❤️ Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥 Chemistry: 🧪🧪🧪🧪 Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙 World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌏 Character development: 😋🙂☺️ Narrator(s): 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙 Narration type: Dual Narration
🦸🏼♀️ Heroine: Silver Coyle Raised on the waves and forged by saltwater grit, Silver Coyle is no damsel. Her childhood aboard a dive boat shaped her into a fearless mariner, trained by her treasure-hunting father to navigate danger like second nature. But when she’s booted from a covert anti-trafficking op—thanks to Weston Beil’s patronizing “inexperience” excuse—Silver finds herself shackled to a pipe on a drug-runner’s boat, surrounded by bricks of cocaine and zero hope of rescue. She’s not waiting for a hero. She doesn’t believe one’s coming.
🦸🏻♂️ Hero: Weston Beil Weston knows Silver’s in trouble. He also knows she’ll loathe being saved by him. Their chemistry is combustible, their history a battlefield of snark and suppressed longing. She’s been haunting his dreams, and he’s not thrilled about it. So yes, he’s going to rescue her—but not without savoring every second of her fury. And no, it’s definitely not because she’s hot. Absolutely not. He swears.
🔥 Plot Snapshot Silver and Weston’s dynamic is pure friction—sharp, sizzling, and emotionally loaded. They clash like flint and steel, and the sparks aren’t just metaphorical. Their mutual loathing is a thin veil for a deeper, dangerous attraction. Weston knows that if they ever cross the line, it won’t be just passion—it’ll be a detonation. One that could ruin them both. And spoiler: she’s already halfway there.
After Silver’s cover is blown post-rescue, she’s forced to hole up in Cliff City with Weston’s Gemini Group. Cue forced proximity, unresolved tension, and the slow unraveling of emotional armor.
❤️🔥 What Worked
• Weston is the kind of hero who falls hard and stays steady. His protectiveness isn’t possessive—it’s quietly fierce. • The slow burn is deliciously drawn out, making the eventual payoff all the steamier. • Their emotional push-pull is addictive, and Weston’s unwavering support gives the romance real weight.
🤨 Room for More
• Silver’s low self-worth, rooted in a toxic upbringing, is understandable—but it starts to feel repetitive. Her emotional spirals sometimes stall the momentum. • The villains lacked bite. Compared to earlier books in the series, these antagonists felt like cardboard cutouts—more plot device than genuine threat.
🎧 Narration Vibes Dual POV, dual narration—Joe Arden and Erin Mallon deliver, as always. Mallon’s emotional range and character differentiation are top-tier, while Arden’s gravelly timbre is tailor-made for brooding alpha heroes. Their chemistry elevates the story, adding texture and tension that the page alone couldn’t capture.
📝 Final Thoughts This installment leans hard into the emotional stakes of a reluctant romance, with Weston’s quiet devotion and Silver’s fight for self-worth at its core. While the plot doesn’t hit the same highs as earlier entries, the narration and central relationship more than make up for it. If you’re here for the slow burn, the snark, and the kind of passion that threatens to combust—this one delivers.
The third in the series, this one’s been in my library for a while, and i decided it was time to read it. Fast paced, filled with action and romance,it held my attention throughout.
The action part was well done,Silver alerted the Gemini group to some nasty business, and they are ready to take down the villains. Only Silver is in the middle of it,and Weston is pissed she didn’t keep a safe distance. They get her to safety, and Silver is angry when Weston explains why she’s staying with him until they get everyone. There are some surprises along the way, even after they expose the entire group. And her father adds to the drama by acting like a selfish a**hole. Her mother may not have been in the picture for a long time, but she left a lasting impression on Silver, and it’s not a good one…. Leaving Weston to help her deal with a bad self-image.
As for the romance,it’s clear Weston knows what he wants, and he’s determined to show Silver what she really is,a treasure. She may act out when she gets scared,he sees it for what it is,and talks her through it. It may hurt, and she may think she’s not worth it,but he’ll get her where she needs to be. And slowly, she starts to understand that Weston sees her,and everything he does is with her best interest in mind. Once she gets over some of her insecurities, they can’t keep their hands off eachother, and are at it as often as they can.
It was an interesting story, and i enjoyed reading it. It wasn’t as spicy as my usual stories, but still….well done. Alec’s story is next, and i might pick that one up,too….
It takes an innate talent to be a storyteller. To spin tales that capture not only a reader's attention but mind and heart. It takes even more than that to do it time after time. Yet Riley Edwards does this every time with every one of her books. And her latest and greatest, Weston's Treasure is no exception. Let me give you some details...
It was the night before Christmas...oh...wait...wrong story! Weston's Treasure is a book with all the feels. It's snuggled under a blanket, sipping hot chocolate, watching the kids open their gifts. It's holding a newborn baby. It's getting puppy kisses and roses and...well I think you get the imagery. But I promised you details...in this book, you'll get Weston & Silver's story and it's a doozy! Weston's all snarky, he-man, alpha and Silver can give it back to him just as good. There are the bad guys (of course), lots of hot between the sheets action and even some teary, sniffly moments. There are funny and suspenseful moments intermixed with tender and heartfelt. And there you have it! You didn't think I was actually gonna give in-depth details...AS IF!
Just take this reviewer's words to heart. This is a book you WANT to read. Not later, NOW. This is an author you want on your MUST-READ list. This is a series you want for re-read purposes. This book is Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Year's all rolled into one. So here's the next thing you need to do...pre-order this book, put it on your Christmas list, send a letter to Santa asking for this book. All I want for Christmas is Riley Edwards. Books, I meant her books. Cause I've asked Santa before for all my favorite authors in my house and he said that's called kidnapping....Pfft...spoil-sport!!
I seriously couldn't make it past chapter 3. I have never read a more annoying and obnoxious h in a book before. Maybe Edwards thought she would be easier to swallow as a character if Silver's inner dialog admitted she knew she was being stubborn for no reason but it made her character seem worse. It was not an unconscious personality trait. She basically says I'm annoying as heck and that's just the way it is. I couldn't read a book that made me that frustrated and made me dislike a main character so much. I gave it 2 stars because the other characters are great and the writing itself is good.
To say that I love Riley Edwards’ books is an understatement. I. Love. Riley Edward’s. Books!! Riley’s writing always has me forgetting everything but the book I’m reading. She is an amazing storyteller and one of the best Military/Suspense authors IMO.
Silver is headstrong, stubborn and due to a toxic and unconventional childhood has low self esteem and has trust issues. I confess, there were times Silver worked on my nerves, but I understood why she was like that. Weston..LOVE HIM!! He is Alpha. protective, bossy (sexy bossy) and very patience. At first they were explosive when they couldn’t stand each other. But that explosive chemistry transformed into the bedroom💥🔥💥🔥 Weston saw Silver for who she really is. And he had the patience with Silver each time she had her doubts and tried to sabotage their relationship. Love the storyline. It had less action and suspense than the other books but for me it was perfect. Now..there are 2 story that I’m dying to read...Holden and Alec’s books are going to be amazing and I’ll be waiting anxiously for each of those books.
Weston really met his match in Silver, but what I liked was that he seemed to realize that pretty quickly. He had his work cut out for himself, trying to get through Silver's rough exterior, but once he did these two were so good together. I loved that at the end when things were on the line Silver trusted Weston to do what she knew she couldn't and he came through for her.
well i have to say that i didn't like this book unlike the first 2 in this series. there were some action and suspense too, but i think the focus of this book is all about the relationship between weston and silver. it was implied in the book that they've known one another for quite some time (months i think) and that they kind of hate yet like each others guts. i would've hope to actually see some of prior scenes they had interacted with each other, but unfortunately those were just mentioned in passing.
i did like weston, he was honest and protective of silver all throughout the book. acting all caveman but he didn't annoy me at all, cuz he was right for most of the time when he was being a domineering alpha towards silver. he was so patient with her that sometimes i think he was just being martyr just to get crumbs of silver's attention. i liked it when the hero knows when to stand their ground and when to fight for what they loved and believed in. but it's never okay that they let people treat them horribly or like they're less of a person. i'm so appalled to say that he was really the doormat in this story. except for being a chump at times, i generally liked weston's character.
as for silver, i find it hard to actually like her. she was stubborn for most of the book just for the sake of being stubborn. i know her parents fucked her up in the most epic proportion, and her fears and insecurities were founded. but for the life of me it was so exasperating reading her being sweet for one minute then being a nasty witch the next one. she was so mean and rude to weston whenever she was having a freak-out episodes. since from the start up to the end of the book weston has stood by her, showed her his sincere intentions but its always her fears that gets in the way.
silver did give me a freaking whiplash, honest to god, and i kept wondering why weston still put up with her. i'm fine with heroine with insecurities and fears, they are part of what makes a person. but using them to continually hurt the people that genuinely care for her isn't okay with me. for the most part of the story, she was just a difficult character through and through.
but to be fair with silver, she did change her attitude at the 80% part of the book. she toned down being snarky and witchy. i genuinely feel that she wanted to change her ways and wants to be part of weston's life. i may never liked her before because of her attitude and for putting so much wall but as the story progresses she slowly learns to be more open about her thoughts and feelings. i can also see she'll be a good mom, way different from her own nasty mother.
overall, there were less suspense/action scenes in this book as this is more focused on romance and character growth imo. i appreciate the mending of relationship between silver and her dad. how she finally decides not to let her fears guide her and how to completely build a healthy relationship with weston and their growing family. i think it still worth reading despite the heroine's initial disposition.
PS. This third instalment is the steamiest book so far in this series.
If I didn't love this author before, after reading this book I would have. I loved the way that the author depicted a leading character who self-sabotages. Not in an intentional way, but rather, as a way of defense. She knows it is wrong but she lashes out. I was able to connect with Silver in that way. Only, unlike Silver, I did not have the most beautiful of a man that had the patience of a Saint on my side. Weston is/was/forever will be one of my top book boyfriends. I love how he just laid things out for Silver and didn't let her fester. It wasn't controlling. It was just the firm hand of guidance and support that she needed so that she never had to be invisible again. He truly saw her.
This book had all the suspense that I have come to expect as well as the HOT steamy times intermixed. Strong secondary characters that I am counting on getting their stories told too.
Wow! Weston and Sliver were everything! I loved all the back and forth between them! I loved how she always tried to get her way but in the end he almost won ;) They definitely meant to be together! So happy they got the ending they deserved! Can’t wait to see more of Alec next!
After reading Nixon's Promise and Jameson's Salvation I was eager to read Weston's Treasure. This book turned out to be everything I had anticipated. It not only met my expectations but it exceeded them. With just the right mix of romance, suspense and danger the book is evenly paced. But all that aside, it's just plain great reading.
Insane attraction between two equally stubborn people. Silver is fiercely independent, smart and prickly as a cactus. They might act like they'll mix as well as oil and water but their chemistry is as explosive as fire and gasoline. Weston is loyal, steadfast and protective. He gives Silver all the things she's missed out in her life; comfort, a sense of home, warmth and most of all love. Earning her trust is paramount, despite her efforts to sabotage their budding relationship,
The Gemini Group men are falling one by one. Weston Beil is the third of the group to find his HEA with Silver Coyle. Silver as we learned at the end of Jameson’s Surrender, has found evidence of ‘drug running’ on her dock. She is a ship’s pilot and is charged with piloting ships in and out of her harbor. Weston and the Gemini Group are helping the gov’t find and stop the criminals. Even though the group warns Silver of the danger she goes head-first into danger and Gemini must save her. She is stubborn to a fault and has such a high protective wall around her, it’s a wonder Weston can break it down. But he does, and their chemistry explodes quickly!
Riley Edwards does a great job of bringing suspense, action, and romance to the reader and keeping me captivated with the characters; making me really care about them, wanting to know all their stories, and seeing them find their own HEA’s. The men blend into a cohesive group, and I could feel the relationship between the men and women leaping off the pages.
I listened to the audio version of this book narrated by Joe Arden and Erin Mallon, and I love it when the voices of the narrators line up with what I would hear in my head. They both did a great job keeping me in the story. It took a bit to understand their interpretation of characters, but once I did, I was able to completely immerse myself in Silver and Weston. Erin had more of a challenge changing voices for all the male voices, however, there were more men characters than women. She did a great job with the inner voice in Silver’s head and her insecurities. I enjoyed the lilt in Joe’s voice making Weston seem serious, but also a bit playful. He did a good job distinguishing between the other men of the Gemini Group and their friends. I was granted an audio arc of this book, and this is my honest and voluntary review.
So I wanted to read Weston’s Treasure.... but to do that I wanted to get to know the team, so I read Nix and Jameson’s stories first.. and at the end of Jameson’s and Kennedy’s story, (great books by the way, and I highly recommend reading them of you haven’t yet) in storms this pissed off stubborn woman, and she lights into Weston. Had to laugh at all Silver’s reasons for picking fights and Weston was the best. Knowing when to push and when to be gentle. Fell in love with the Gemini Group and can’t wait for the rest of the stories. Riley you are still one of my favorite authors. Loved your other series and definitely love this one. Thanks for a great read.
Riley Edwards is one of my few one-click authors. I'll always purchase anything she writes without needing a blurb. She's at the top of my list. From Freedom to Second Generation to Red team to Gold team to Gemini Group, there hasn't been one book I didn't absolutely love!
Weston’s Treasure Gemini Group, Book 3 By: Riley Edwards Narrated by: Joe Arden, Erin Mallon
Riley Edwards continues to wow me with another amazing novel, the third in her “Gemini Group” series and I loved everything about it, from her wonderful writing style to the characters and storylines she created to the perfectly cast narrators who bring it all to life from the pages to your ears. Each book in this series features a different member of the Gemini Group team, their stories stand on their own but it would be beneficial to enjoy them in the order written, the epilogue introduces you to the next book and lead character for that book, plus characters crossover into each other’s books and seeing them again is like seeing an old friend. This book features Weston Beil and Silver Coyle, to say the two are like oil and vinegar would put it mildly, he is an alpha male looking out for her, she is a stubborn, independent woman who does not need someone to look out for her. When she finds herself in deep trouble, she was wishing Weston would come to her rescue, but she did not depend on it and would not be a sitting duck, except she did not stand a chance. She did not stand a chance with Weston either, once he set his claim on her he would not give up on her despite her stubbornness. They may have rescued Silver from that boat, but she was still in deep waters, the drug dealers lost a lot of money and they were not done with her. Weston and the Gemini group will keep her safe, but she still has a mind of her own and a strong will. Weston met his match with Silver, she gives as good as she gets, the chemistry between them is sizzling hot. I loved how everything played out in this book and, like the first two books, it is a fast-paced, cleverly plotted story with plenty of drama, angst, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions and some steamy romance. Riley Edwards, thank you for another brilliant story and these amazing characters, I am loving to getting to know them all.
🎧📚🎧Erin Mallon and Joe Arden’s name and reputation speak for themselves, you know you are in for a treat with them at the helm or rather the mike. They are entertaining storytellers and versatile voice artists, their narration enhances an already brilliant story to another level. I love how they take each role and make it their own, sounding believable and just as I picture the characters to sound. Joe Arden’s Weston was spot on, the perfect demanding alpha who was not afraid to show his caring side, and Erin Mallon killed it as Silver grasped her willful and vibrant personality and was a natural in her role. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and projected them into their performance and had you feeling every single one. Thank you for another exceptional listen.
Audiobook Review: Heroine Silver is one prickly pear! We come to understand over the course of the book why, but that doesn't make it any easier for the reader or listener to see her struggle in so many ways, including accepting help and understanding her worth. She's grown up in a toxic environment and makes her living doing a job usually reserved for men. Something's not quite right at work, and she ends up putting herself at significant risk to figure out what's going on. There's certainly an enemies-to-lovers aspect to this story, as the two have butted heads before the story opens. But of course, there's also mutual attraction. One thing about Silver is that she says it as she sees it, no matter what. She might lie if she doesn't want to let somebody in, but she's otherwise a straight shooter with little concern for how those words might affect others. Weston is a great, swoon-worthy hero, not letting her get away with anything and holding her to account when she wants to run away. She has so many emotional scars, it's at times hard to watch how that affects not only her but Weston. In the previous two books of the Gemini Group series, the heroines had situations in which they were put into life-threatening ones. This book could have easily gone that way, but I like how the author chose to have Silver make a deliberate choice, not just reacting on instinct but thinking of herself and her future. For someone who grapples with self-worth during the entire book, that was a necessary moment for her character growth.
Like all the books in this series, it's steamy and explicit. I don't mind steamy intimate scenes—in fact, I enjoy them if they don't get too clinical or crude in the naming of parts—but a few moments in this book did give me a bit of an “ick factor” in terms of what they did, what they wanted to do, and how they expressed it. That's unfortunate, because I did really like these characters in general, and it didn't really have to go that way. Despite this, though, I did enjoy their love story and hope to see a little more of them in the background of the upcoming books of the Gemini Group series.
I received a promo code for this audiobook, but that did not affect my review.
Weston's Treasure is the 3rd release in the Gemini Group series but it's definitely the number 1 book in the series. Once again I am in awe with the writing of Riley Edwards each book just keeps getting better and better, it's like fine wine!!!!Weston's Treasure is an intense emotional story that will touch your heart and give you all the feels.
The books starts off with action, as Weston and the rest of the members of the Gemini Group has to rescue Silver after she went against the orders to stay away from the case. These two start off as enemies, with a strong dislike for each other. So that means there is going to be a battle of wills and a build up to who will crack first ( one of my favorite things ) as they are forced to work together to solve the mystery of the book.
Gahhh, if you love when the hero is swoon worthy then meet your newest book boyfriend. I'm gushing just thinking about Weston, every book boyfriend needs to consult Weston on how to love on a woman. This guy was just amazing in every aspect. He was bossy( he's an alpha) he's caring, his honesty was refreshing. In the moments where he could be brutal , he was still tender towards Silver.
Silver is stubborn in every way possible. I have to give her credit because she owns her ish. She knows she's wrong but refuses to back down even just a little, lol. I laughed so much with her character, to be honest I saw a little of myself in her and that's why I connected with her . As you get know silver, you'll love her just as much as I do.
Overall this was an excellent read. The suspense of the story and the surprises will keep you engage from beginning to end. I can't wait for the next book in this series, the clues leading up to it has me sitting on the edge of my seat, it has the promise to be good.
This is the third book in the Gemini series. Weston is intrigued with Silver Coyle and is impressed by her smarts. She has uncovered a drug smuggling ring along the canal Chesapeake and Delaware canal and brought it to the attention of homeland security. The Gemini group is brought in to help since its on American soil and they can work independently of Homeland to help investigate it. Weston is against using Silver from the start because he doesn't want to see her get hurt. All Silver can see is a big overbearing jerk that doesnt think she is good enough to be able to help… It doesn't help that Silver finds herself in trouble and in need of rescuing from a boat she boarded to pilot down the canal and indeed Weston has to save her. Weston is drawn to Silver from the very beginning at their first meeting at the DHS offices. She's decided he's a bully and she isn't going to stand for him bossing her around or making her feel like she isn't good enough. These two have a lot to figure out whos behind the drug smuggling and how to get along. Every time Silver thinks shes being treated with kid gloves or not thought of as an equal she lashes out and says mean hurtful things. As Weston spends time with Silver, he sees beneath the surface a woman who has been ridiculed and emotionally abused. He sees how this has hurt her. As these two learn about each other we see how the interactions of Jameson and Nix treat their women affect Silver and show her that men and women can respect each others differences and how people should be treated. All the while Weston always calls Silver his treasure, because Silver is someone special and should be treasured. Even his mom calls her a treasure. This was a great read with many tearful spots and some laugh out loud moments. Great read as always when it comes to her books.
Two thumbs up for the awesomeness of this read! Nothing hidden, nothing buried – all laid bare. This story definitely keeps it down-to-earth, in-your-face brutally honest and real. Weston’s Treasure is raw and emotional, suspenseful, intense, and seriously hot, hot, hot!!! It holds plenty of laughs and tears, friendly banter, family drama and support, and love. There is not as much action and danger in this one as there are in Riley’s other books but with this couple, the situations surrounding them, and the navigation of their relationship it all balances out well. This is a book you definitely want to add to your reading pile.
Weston was the true deal, he held nothing back. He was upfront and honest, gruff, dominating and totally alpha but also knew when to handle with care, be soft-spoken, and gentle. I loved the vulnerable moments when he let his guard down and shared his fears and reservations with Silver. It brought them so much closer together knowing they were in the moment and dealing with it all together. And poor Silver never knew what hit her, in the form of Weston, but she definitely gave as good as she got. Head-strong, fierce, determined to prove she did not need help and could stand on her own which of course leads to trouble. However, she was intelligent enough to realize she needed help and to accept it from Weston and his team. Though she was not planning on unraveling and being remade or losing her heart in the process but what an awesome journey she had. I enjoyed seeing her character grow under Weston’s guidance. She learned to truly trust, accept, forgive, move forward, and to love. And she gave Weston the greatest gift. This was a great story with a wonderful ending for them and a shocking twister of a look into the next book in the series, Alec. Wow! I am really intrigued and looking forward to his story.
Silver can best be described as the sand that becomes a beautiful pearl. When Silver & Weston first meet, he views her as an irritating and headstrong pain in his ass. Raised on the water for most of her life by her father, Silver is easily one with the water as a Pilot guiding boats through the local canals of Delaware. Unfortunately, she’s a fish out of water when it comes to meaningful relationships of any kind, be it friends or a significant other thanks to her isolated years at sea and growing up in a highly dysfunctional family. Silver struggles to understand & accept genuine affection. For all the trouble she causes, Weston can tell there’s something different about Silver and the answers lie beneath her stubbornness & sharp bite. He knows there’s a beautiful treasure tucked safely away beneath the rough outer surface. He works tirelessly to try to help Silver see herself for the beautiful, strong & loving woman she really is - not the broken disappointment she’s been made by her mother to believe she is. If Weston can stick to his guns and get Silver to trust him, they just might have a fighting chance at happily ever after. But after being raised by highly dysfunctional parents that have used Silver as a pawn with which to torture each other, Silver is hesitant to believe they’ll last for the long haul. Can Weston conquer her doubts & convince Silver that forever still exists? Can Silver let down her walls to reveal the true treasure beneath?
Special thanks to the author for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

Weston's Treasure Gemini Group, Book 3 By: Riley Edwards Narrated by: Joe Arden, Erin Mallon
Gemini Group is a fantastic romantic suspense series! I am loving getting to know each member, how they all have each other's backs and the situations they find themselves in. Installment 3 features Weston. He is a former SEAL, and takes his job very seriously. Looking out for the reckless Silver is part of the job. Silver is independent, takes on what she thinks she can handle and finds herself in a situation where Weston's help may have saved her life. But she is not willing to give into his protection easily. These two are at each other, striving for dominance, just to be the foreplay to their amazing chemistry. Once Weston realizes Silver's softer side, he is a goner and will do anything to protect her. Riley Edwards keeps their animosity going, the suspense high and the danger lurking. I love her stories, the camaraderie between her characters and the love that builds in her couples. She is an amazing romantic suspense author!
Joe Arden and Erin Mallon are perfectly cast for this story. Arden keeps he protectiveness high with Weston, his alpha in the front with an air of tenderness. Mallon understands Silver's independent streak, her vulnerability and need for love. She uses her voice with inflections and nuances to bring it all out. An amazing performance for this fantastic book.
FL is plainly fucked up in the head and she knows it. She is brave and capable, however she also carries so many psychological trauma, she’s a little bit crazy and absolutely non-functional in any relationships. This story is about her finding a stable ground again, learning to trust and lean on others without having panic attacks from letting go. She is very special and different from other usual female leads, who usually have some trauma behind them, but are usually well put together and nearly perfect in every regard. Silver wasn’t perfect. She was crazy, she knew, she was behaving crazy, but she couldn’t help it and always drove everyone out of her life and those people never stayed. Until one courageous ML, who decided to take on her demons with her, and wouldn’t budge, until those demons were gone.
There was a very strong moment for me in this book, This was such a strong moment of trust, especially from this crazy woman, who never came out of her shell, and I absolutely loved it.
The Gemini Group is comprised of hot, kickbutt persons geared to take out evil in the US, no matter who, what, or where! Weston and Silver started out with sparks--they clashed. Didn't matter the situation, Silver had a hair trigger temper, and it seemed Weston had dibs on said trigger. Silver, by reporting illegal findings, ends up in deep trouble which went further up the chain of command than anyone knew. It's up to Weston and the Gemini Group to rescue AND keep this little hellion safe. A lot of nail-biting action throughout! Reading this, my moods swung as fast as Silver's. Hissing mad to confusion to blind lust in seconds, then back again. Weston! Oh this man was intuitive, mmmm, and bossy. What a combination! When he loves watch out, cause he wants it all and digs until he gets every little hidden piece of you...I mean Silver. He also protects what he considers his, with his life. In return, he gives all of himself, honestly, openly and quite verbally. It may even make you blush--it was hawt! All this, steaming up page after sexy page. Oh! The Gemini Group is increasing too. What a happy HEA sigh from Weston's Treasure, and I was in it the whole way. Can stand alone, but part of a series. A fast paced read.
Weston's Treasure by Riley Edwards is the third book in her Gemini Group series it's enjoyable and will keep you on your toes trying to figure out who isn't on the take in the DHS and the Coast Guard because Silver Coyle is now handcuffed in the hold. She know she'll have to listen to Weston said I told you so. It's a wild ride with these two and worthy of all 4.7 stars I'm giving this addition to the Gemini Group.
Silver Coyle was raised by her treasure hunter father on a boat so working as a pilot on the C & D canal is her dream job but being held hostage isn't her idea of fun. When Weston and the Gemini men come to her rescue she's in a pickle will be the hardest thing she'll do. But can she fight the attraction growing between them?
Weston Beil and the guys will have to find the head king pin through several of the alphabet agencies to stop a huge drug war happening even when Alec Hall ex-Homeland Security gives them info on how deep the bribes are in DC. Finding out how deep Silver's hurt towards her mom is he'll do whatever to give her the family she wants. First they have to take down the drug lords running from Delaware to the Chesapeake Bay and let the powers that be know even if you're powerful markers will come due. Then he's going to make sure Silver knows how much he loves her.
Oohhhhh I love a man who is able to be strong, and direct (in the best way) his partner to where they need to be. And boy is Weston this man.
Silver is an emotional mess, you wouldn’t think it but when you scratch the surface it’s there and it’s deep. Weston doesn’t shy away from this and during this story there are several conversations that could totally be uncomfortable given their argumentative nature, but Erin Mallon and Joe Arden really bring to life the desperate nature of Silvers desire to NOT be like this and the strength Weston has to carry her through.
I loved the underlying story and there were several key scenes for me that I could listen to over and over. The countertop (obviously!), the scene with Silvers dad and when Silver calls Weston to come get her when she left in his jeep. All of these give me the best of feels and demonstrates what an awesome job these narrators have done with the fabulous story Ms Edwards seems to have written with them in mind!!!
Engaging and intriguing, this story moves at a pace and you hardly notice the time passing whilst you listen.
Treat yourself and buy this whole series, you won’t be disappointed I’m sure (but I’m off to listen to Alec’s story just to be certain 😊.

Professional mariner Silver Coyle realized one of the ships traveling the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal where she worked was actually running drugs to which she reported to the Coast Guard in Maryland. After several meetings with the Coast Guard, Homeland Security and the Gemini Group, she was told to stand down and not approach the Dora B, that they would have the ship on their radar. Even though her manager told her to board and pilot the Dora B, she knew she was in trouble when she was attacked and handcuffed to a pipe in the hull of the very ship she had reported as running drugs and told not to board. Silver and Weston Beil, one of the Gemini Group owners, had more than one conversation about her getting in the way of their operation. Now she realizes she should have listened, especially when Weston’s group rescues her. The groups find she has been compromised and her corrupt managers have thrown her under the bus when she reported the drug runners. After their debriefing. Weston takes her home only to find out her home has been ransacked and almost everything in her apartment has been destroyed. He takes her back to the Gemini farmhouse he is living in and vows to protect and keep her safe which he can only do if she will quit fighting with him and realize the danger she is in.

This book was filled with snark and sizzling chemistry. Silver and Weston are explosive. Their banter, their arguments, their love, all explosive. While there seemed to be less suspense, it started on page one and just when you thought it was over, it hit with a second wind.
Because of Silver’s childhood, it’s hard for her to trust and harder for her to remember Weston is not her parents. She argues about everything and there were definitely moments when, although I understood where she was coming from, it grated on me. Weston was extremely patient and didn’t give up. He just wanted Silver to give him a chance and he put up with a lot.
Silver and Weston’s arguments were brutal at times, but the way they immediately made up and talked through everything made them an integral part of their relationship. They were both headstrong and stubborn. Weston pushed Silver but he did it in a way that she saw he was trying to help her move on from her past. He gave Silver a family and friends and wasn’t afraid to tell her when she was arguing just to argue.
I loved Weston. The way his parents accepted Silver and immediately brought her into their family was both heartbreaking and heartwarming. It was exactly what Silver needed. And when Silver finally got it, she and Weston were an unstoppable force.
I wish this book had focused more on the drug smugglers, how it was figured out, or anything other than Silver. I have always liked Weston, but I could not abide Silver.
Silver was the most irritating, argumentative, combative person I have had to listen to in a very long time. It was a struggle to finish. There was nothing about Silver other than her name that I liked.
I had great admiration for Weston and his ability to put up with Silver. I couldn't imagine how Weston could put up with her. I tried to take into account her childhood, but that was not enough to make her character palatable. Weston and Silver did seem to have a ton of steamy scenes, so maybe that was the basis of their relationship.
Silver was in serious need of counseling. Her behavior was so awful that I felt her character took away from the book. I do have to say that the narrators did an excellent job making Silver obnoxious, whether intentionally or unintentionally. I have to say it again. I really could not stand Silver. I would give this 2.5 stars.
I don't have books 4 - Alex or 5 - Chasin yet, so I will be jumping to Holden's book.

This is book 3 in the Gemini Group series and I would absolutely read the previous books before reading this one or you may be lost as to the things that are talked about and happened in those books. We get Weston's story in this one! Weston and Silver have butted heads right from the start. But when she gets into trouble, Weston is the first one to say he is going to save her. And keep her safe until they figure out what is happening. I loved them together! Silver has so many issues because of her childhood but she is still this sweet woman with such a strong character and I loved her! She is snarky and doesn't hesitate to do the right thing when she knows it is necessary. Weston is definitely an alpha male with a protective streak a mile wide! But he also won't hesitate to do what is right when he knows it needs to be done, regardless of what that may mean for himself. Putting these two together is like throwing gas on a fire and I LOVED IT! Every book in this series has drawn me in from the start and this one was definitely no exception! Now I am left sitting here waiting impatiently for the next one LOL! I can't wait!!
