Paul L Gunn, Jr. has built a career around procurement, logistics, and supply chain. His impressive track record in this domain is evidenced by the firms he has owned and their flawless delivery performance records. Some of his noteworthy capabilities include: consulting, training and project management, implementing quality management systems, and technology solutions for global organizations leading cross-functional teams in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and America. He is also a proven leader in lifecycle and business process management.

Paul Gunn has taken an active role in all the firms he has owned, including KUOG Corporation, and as such, he leverages his preferred servant leadership style and SME to drive all project phases from proposal generation to planning and execution. Notably, Mr. Gunn previously led one of his firm’s largest Quality Management System implementation projects for highly visible DoD end users. Under his leadership KUOG Corporation reached #273 on Inc’s Fastest Growing Privately held firms in 2021.

His previous firm was listed as one Inc's Fastest Growing Privately held firm at #67. Mr. Gunn holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Georgia State University and a Master of Science in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. He is also a Founder to Watertusk Corporation.

A Gamechanger in Business Management

Paul L Gunn Jr. is a business leader who has created a masterpiece that highlights the importance of empathy and compassion in the business environment. Empathy is often considered an underrated skill in business management, but Paul Gunn has eloquently highlighted how kindness and compassion can bring success to the business. It shifts the old paradigm of cutthroat business culture to make it more empathetic and humane.

In his book titled "Succeed The Right Way", he explains how compassion and empathy are essential for building a successful company culture. He states that being compassionate is not about being nice or kind but it's about understanding people's needs. He also says that it's important for leaders to have empathy because they are able to connect with their employees on a deeper level, understand their needs better, identify issues faster and resolve them faster than others do. He also provides practical steps on how to practice these skills, apart from what he calls 'human-centered leadership', which is an approach that builds on these skills.

The catchy description and the attractive but simple cover were the key factors to reading this book. Success is not something simple to achieve or once achieved, to maintain. Reading this book gave me a lot to think about and inspired me, too.
It is written in a kind of conversational style, so it was as if the author was talking to me and this made me read for hours without noticing. The pace is just perfect because the book is not dull, on the contrary, it captured my attention from the very first pages.
I recommend this book to those looking for a better and new way to succeed in the business world.

Gunn Jr. is a business book which sets out an avant-garde point of view about how to be a good and successful leader. Considering the actual pandemic context, the book develops a theory of business function based on communication and emotional intelligence.
I really liked the view of the book and I think that there are important points like empathy and compassion which should be considered to be a good leader and even more in the field of business. This book has important information and advice that can help both directors and bosses. In my opinion, it is a must read for all business people.

As I started my company and tried to make it work and grow, I have read a lot of interesting books on the subject. However, in this book in particular I found some concepts and ideas that I had never read before or thought about. I considered it a very interesting read.
It is a book that provides very interesting and essential advice regarding the reality of global companies and businesses in general after the pandemic. It presents different approaches to solve conflicts and a new vision regarding emotions and how to use them to promote growth and good communication. For example, empathy, surprisingly, opens the door to quality relationships.

Paul Gunn’s Succeed the Right Way is the book we all pray for corporate leaders to put on their must-read list this year. Gunn takes two universal acknowledgments—that turnover rates and workplace morale are directly correlated to treatment from supervisors, and that emotional intelligence is the hardest to gain and yet sexiest form of intelligence—and has made a guide for small and large-business owners alike. People who work in sales are generally hired for their ability to connect with a customer, often through exuding kindness and competence. Why should this change as you move up the corporate ladder? How did the concept of a ruler maintaining power through fear work its way into the everyday workplace?
I like Gunn’s positivity, and how while writing about sympathy and empathy in workplace practices, his writing radiates kindness and understanding.

Dealing with the unforeseen challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic has taken a significant toll on people all across the world and that is why I have chosen this book. Author Gunn takes steps into informing readers of new paradigms on business leadership. The traditional paradigm is definitely over!
I enjoyed being instructed on the weight emotional intelligence has in being successful in business and how important it is to develop those innate human qualities as that of being empathic and perceptive are.
I agree with Gunn in his belief that growing and sustaining a business requires more than just sales Business Development or gaining customers.
In Succeed the Right Way I found valuable information concentrated in a well-written book.

This book is very interesting because it encourages readers to adopt an empathetic approach towards entrepreneurial pursuits. For those interested in being leaders of businesses and small organizations, this could be a useful guide towards forming a team of people through humanistic means. Compassion and understanding are highlighted as key elements to run an organization that prioritizes the well-being of people. It is rare to find a book that values the well-being of human-beings. Most of our lives we are taught to follow an assembly line structure that is focused on productivity which in turn devalues happiness and health. The idea of being compassionate in the business world sounded like something that was not possible for me. We are living in such a competitive and lack of empathy world, that finding this book was like a breath of fresh air.

In Succeed the Right Way, amazing author Paul L Gunn Jr. shows us that in order to be successful in the business world, especially after the pandemic that we all had to experience, being compassionate is the key.

My favourite part was learning that the old notion of a strong, silent leader has been permanently put to rest, and the right way is to be a compassionate and communicative leader.

The book is very well-written and is filled with incredible and innovative ideas to implement in the business world.

A Must-read!
Even though the core of this book is related to business, it turned out to be a thought-provoking reading, as well. “Succeed the right way” is an absorbing reading written by Paul L. Gunn Jr.
Here, he highlights the importance of empathy, not only in the field of business but also in life. Also, he mentions that choosing the right way will help anyone to become a better person. What I liked the most is the idea that words and actions can make an impact on others.
The author´s ideas are well-explained and simple to understand. I learned a lot from it and I recommend it since you can learn about business and about values. I liked it.

Life and mind changing

Paul L Gunn Jr is the author of “Succeed in the Right Way”, a book that I personally found too assertive. Although there is nothing wrong with being assertive, I did not like the tone of this reader in some parts.

I did, however, enjoyed the examples included and I learnt a lot about life. This book did change my perspective and my attitude towards life. After reading it, I am convinced that in my life, there is a lot in my power and that I do have my life in my hands. It is the small things that can change and improve everything. Four stars for this one!

I think that the post COVID-19 pandemic reality has changed our life in many ways. And business is not the exception. So, I agree with author Paul L. Gunn Jr. that now the key for a successful leadership is emotional intelligence, and the most important qualities are kindness and compassion, empathy and communicative awareness. “Succeed the Right Way” delves with this change of paradigm, in a short-length but really helpful and inspiring reading.
I particularly enjoyed the practical perspective the author had in his approach to writing the book, as he writes clearly and also makes examples with his own story. I strongly recommend it to everyone in a management position.
