Grant’s Four Unbreakable Rules: Rule #4 – always put animals first Rule #3 – be there for your family above anything else Rule #2 – never date someone from your small hometown Rule #1 – your best friend’s ex is off limits
I, Grant Keating - vet of all vets and a true small-town gentleman - am a terrible person. Not only do I manage to break all my rules before the holidays, but I’m positive all the coal left in every naughty person’s stocking won’t be enough to redeem me for breaking a rule I never needed to have. The golden rule that should have been a damn guarantee!
If I let her, she might just cost me everything. Yet, I couldn’t walk away now even if I tried.
Seeing beneath the surface to capture the raw beauty of the world has always intrigued me. Whether through film, poetry, imagination, or writing, I love experiencing and expressing my vision. My travels and love for the many different cultures I've encountered have only further instilled these creative outlooks and are the main reason why you are sure to be taken on an adventurous journey through my stories. Although every character is unique, it brings me pleasure to explore how different people throughout the world react to different adventures, and if they fall in love and into the sheets continuously on their journey, then I guess those romances were simply meant to be.
This was a nice small town romance mixed with a little forbidden romance since the FMC was the ex to the brother of the MMC. Although his brother was happily with someone else there's still that unspoken rule where you are not supposed to mess with your relative or friend's ex. However, in this case, you are kind of rooting for Ruby and Grant. With all that Ruby has been through in her life she does not think that she is capable of being loved and has a fear of having her heart broken. Meanwhile, Grant is the one who she confided in all those years ago, who pays attention to her, what she likes and what she does and remembers it all. Grant has to come to terms with the fact that he has had feelings for her throughout these years but stayed away because of his brother but now it is time to do something for himself. It was a sweet story with some spice and I liked the way it all came together in the end.

Grant Keating: If, “repeat offense,” was a person it would be Grant. He kept going for the same thing and expecting a different result. Being a kindhearted veterinarian didn’t save him from his bad choices.
Ruby Bellinger: If, “guilt-ridden,” was a person it would be Ruby. Her past kept her closed off in many ways and her art became her outlet. Ruby had to learn to let go and let love in.
It all started with a little wager between friends. The construction of this short story had me at the chapter titles. They were just as cute and clever as the town the story is based in. (I’m a sucker for a cute small town. I really want to live in one lol. -Syretta) This couple already had marks against them working out due to a past connection, but that doesn’t stop you from rooting for them. Even with some setbacks this couple made risking it all for love look sexy and feel fun. This was a super sweet must read.

Ms. Green this is the first book, I had the pleasure to read by you. It was a magnificent read that kept my attention from start to finish. It's ironic how the love of your life can literally be right under your nose. It also goes to show that even when that love may have a past with a close relative or friend it is still the person for you. I enjoyed reading how Grant and Ruby decided to put all outside distractions and rules to the side to finally become a couple. Although, both had their own rules and guidelines the love started years prior and just magnified as the years went on.
This is another holiday read, that will get you in the mood. The description of the ice hotel alone is enough to make anyone wish for a winter wonderland vacation. I recommend this book along with the others in this series. They all have immensely powerful, determined men in each book.
Grant has had rules all his life when it came to dating, but when Ruby comes into play, his rules are made to be broken. Runy has rules to, but hers were to live in the moment. When Ruby and Grant are thrown into situations numerous times, they break those rules and in the long run feel it will hurt people and them, until they realize they want and need each other. Last year we read about Grant brother Jackson, so I was happy to get a book about Grant. Grant was the town golden boy and I wanted to know more about him. Grant has always been there for Ruby in away no one else has and I loved that she had that. Ruby had her own issues and Grant was what she needed. Ruby and Grant complimented each other and I was glad they got what they wanted and needed, each other. This was such a great read and I caught myself swooning alot!!!
Grant Keating was known as the Golden Boy with all of the rules but Ruby Bellinger was just the woman who could push him to break the ultimate rule. I loved the chemistry between Grant and Ruby because they didn't mind calling each other out on their mess and they always put other people wants and needs before their own. I really enjoyed this book and I can't wait for the next book in the series!!!
Sometimes when an unusual pairing occurs involving siblings there is that awkwardness and the slight hint of judgment. While this story could have included those typical moments, we find two selfless individuals who put the needs above their own forgetting that they also deserve love. Their pairing is intimate and the blossoming of their love felt authentic. Not to put the author in a jam but I welcome more of Grant and Belle.
Grant and Ruby were so sweet and so was the love they had for one another. When I started reading this story I really wasn’t sure where it was taking me. However I soon found out ☺️ Grant had rules and Ruby had guidelines. While both of these adorable people seemed to be more concerned about the feelings of other people and discounting their own until all of that changed.
Ruby and Grant’s story showed there’s definitely a reward for those who break the rules and don’t care about the consequences. I like how this story showed how finding love in the wrong place can be the best thing to happen to a person. It was cool seeing some of my favorite characters from Kelsey Green. Hopefully we’ll be able to visit Sweet Hill again and watch someone preferably a Bellinger sister find love.
To protect the crush, we’ll just put rules in place! However, some rules are made to be broken! So, how is that working for you?!? 🧐
Grant and Bell had such rules in place, but the heart ruled those rules right on out of the way!! I absolutely loved this book and the series is hot!! 🔥🔥 If you haven’t read this yet, you’re definitely missing out!! Kudos, Kelsey!! 💜
Grant and Belle, what a sweet sound when you say those names together. They went, over the hill, through the ice to get to those stocking. It was an emotional, crazy ride, but so worth it. Their banter with each other was priceless.
The heart wants what it wants. And once Grant and Bell 🔔 decide to let go of fear and place all cards on the table the love ❤️ that they both were neglecting to name materialized. In this story you'll have to put aside youth code and look at mature adults needing to make a decision for their happiness and life.
Grant and Ruby grew up together in this small town and were attracted to one another without the other one knowing. Place them in a few situations with holiday cheer, the attraction can’t be denied. I cute love story that tells about past heartache, trust and HEA.
Unconsciously they’ve been gravitating towards each other for years and finally the time is right for them to give it a try.
I was annoyed that Jackson got so mad about them being together. He is in a healthy loving relationship and doesn’t own either of them. Grant didn’t need to tell him anything.
This was a love story about Ruby Bollinger and Grant Keating. They have been friends since childhood with underlying feelings. Over the years Grant tried to keep his feelings controlled and be friendly, however after several drinks Christmas Eve he let it all out and slept with Ruby. It took several months before they realized their happily ever after.
Amazing grant was book bae I love their love story beautiful from beginning to end and how grant loved and respected his brother Jackson enough he felt bad about hiding that he cared for ruby❤❤❤❤😍😍😍😍so glad it worked out for them🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
This book was like a slow burn love story but it was a great read. Sometimes you have to get out of your own way to get the love you want and I think Grant and Ruby realized that.
It’s funny how the two main characters had rules that were supposed to protect them but really stopped them from experiencing real love. Glad they finally let the rules go for happiness
Ruby and Grant have liked each other for a long time, but they weren't sure if the feelings were mutual until they end up having sex. She dated Grant's brother and he is feeling guilty. Their chemistry is too strong and rules are broken.
This was an enjoyable holiday read. Even though the other books in this multi author series seem a little more directly relating the story to the title, this was a sweet HEA. Having previously read Jacksons story this was a nice continuation.
Well this love wasn't truly forbidden but everlasting. Honor and loyalty were the basis of their love being put on hold. The story was definitely awesome! Trent was a trip and his antics kept you laughing!
I enjoyed reading this book! The chemistry between Grant and Ruby, aka Rose, was hot; even tho, she was his baby brother's ex high school girlfriend! This book I do believe people will enjoy! I definitely recommend it!
Two people afraid of being hurt almost miss the love that was meant to last a lifetime. Over thinking and unnecessary rules cause loads of misadventures.
Sweet story of hometown boy and girl. While Ruby started out with Grant's brother, in high school, I'm glad they were still able to have their HEA with each other. Their story shows that some rules can be broken, and everyone ends up happy and where they should be.
