After getting caught by the police, Axis Imber is sent to a school for misfits. A school to some, a prison for most.
Serpenti High is a place like no other. It is ruled by the most rebellious and dangerous teenagers whose social statuses are defined by an unfair system called 'The Ranking System.' The concept is simple: only the fittest survive.
Will Axis be able to survive the cruel system? Or will he fall on his knees and become a victim? What happens when he meets someone he never expected to meet again?
Axis has changed his name since the orphanage, but he can't change his past.
A story of new allies, dangerous enemies, hearbreaking betrayals, and forbidden love.
Trigger warning: fighting, swearing, smut, and way too many bad boys
Somehow, the author made Axis’ and Adam’s crazy dynamic and backstory work. This isn’t the most profound book I’ve ever read, but I very much enjoyed it.
The main characters are fleshed out with their unique and deep characters—and aren’t just walking tropes. The writing wasn’t awkward—which is a breath of fresh air considering it came from Wattpad.
Side note: I read what I could of this story on Wattpad before buying the actual books and I don’t regret it one bit. Also, what a fantastic business model!
If there was a book award for most inconsistent and stupid plot twists and motives this would be that book. If I could give negative stars I would because giving even 1 star feels like a crime for this mind numbingly idiotic book.
I loved this book it ends on a cliffhanger sort off I mean I definitely want to know what happens next and the story about Adam and Eric is so sweet I love them 🥰💗
the story is so, so gooood! I love Eric (Axis) and Adam's dynamic, like, the long lost childhood friend/love interest and all the drama. the world building is well written, also the premises of the Serpenti High, Axis always being a rankless but the predators cannot attack him. I guess I'm kinda disappointed because I want more for Belial. like, he didn't showed up with them at Nylon and Mary's grave at the last chapter, but he do left flowers for them, I think.
can I have Belial for myself?! I love his dark character, and morally grey characters are my daddies if you think about it. UwU.
Damn reading this book bring back all of the feelings I had when I was still a wattpad girly. Starting from the plot, that it's a school for rejects of society, how the ML be the strongest person inside protecting the other ML who just got enrolled. I miss this kind of plot! And not gonna lie, Adam's adoptive dad seriously has an anger issues because he did all those things just to make Adam straight. But then, Adam and Eric chemistry was a chef's kiss.
While i did really enjoy the book, I still feel it missed a lot of things. I wished that the book was longer, where there would've been more depth to some of the side characters. Its an interesting plot and I think it's a shame, that it was this short. It couldve also explained a little more about the school itself. I also thought sometimes the dialoger didn't match the characters, this was especially about the russian guy But overall i enjoyed it
I started this book on Wattpad then the author stopped posting updates and published the book only on Amazon fully finished so I got it to finish absolutely love this book I definitely recorecommend it and think it’s full of surprises and emotions would of loved a spin of book for the other guys though.
Its really worth reading!! Its nicely written but that is just because I am a huge I.J. Hidee fan others might see it differently, it's not that usual boy's love thing it gave me at some points really the chills!
I really liked the story. It was well written. However, sometimes there was a little repetition. The ending was really cute. As someone who read most of it on wattpad before she got the books, I was happily surprised that happened.
Love, Love, LOVED this book! It was very intriguing! I loved the mystery of Eric meeting his childhood best friend/crush from the orphanage (Adam). I wasn't going to read this story at first because I had come across it on Wattpad but am very glad I did!
I read it on wattpad and I loved it but I was kinda bummed that I had to Pay to read further...but yeah cant blame that it would cost cuz it so good...
