We all want to know if we’re on the right track in life—the track that will lead us back to our heavenly home. Each of us faces roadblocks like heartache, pain, and challenges that loom as big as mountains. Knowing how to move those mountains and how to consecrate adversity for our good will ensure that we stay on course and reach our desired destination.
As you continue on that journey from day by day, never forget that God has a plan just for you. That plan will keep you on the covenant path and help you overcome every obstacle. With grace and strength, you can endure until you run through the finish line and enter into the Savior’s welcoming embrace.
So excited to be the first review on this book. Where to start? This book is a fairly quick read, but gives so much perspective and encouragement. My favorite part is the end, especially the quote where it talks about how enduring to the end isn't just pacing in our earthly jail cell until time is up, but rather a passing of both time and the soul.
We all have hard things in our lives, and I believe that if God were truly just and fair, we would all be tested to the same breaking point, even if it is with different trials. But regardless of our own personal trials, we can all endure with the same strength and support of the Savior.
This book gave me new resolve to pick up my spiritual running speed, and come through the finish line still upright. Well done, Kathy.
It was my privilege to work with Kathryn Jenkins to prepare "Enduring with Grace and Strength" for publication. What a wonderful experience! This book inspired and taught me--and often had me in tears in sympathy for Kathy's trials, but also with happiness because of the redeeming love of our Savior Jesus Christ. I highly recommend this book for any Latter-day Saint who needs a boost of faith to cope with life's challenges.
This short book is beautifully written and so inspiring. In talking about enduring some really tough things, Kathy Jenkins writes, "He knows I can do it. More importantly, He needs me to know I can do it." That really struck me. God knows I can do all things through Christ but He needs me to know I can. What a great lesson. So many good nuggets of wisdom she has learned and shares with us.
