Love Upon a Time için geri sayım başlasın.
The English title is Love upon a time. Very nice novel, I'm glad it was the first I read this year. It's the story of two lovers through time and past lives. There's also a mystery about a murder, even though it's quite obvious who the murderers are. Another good novel by LittleBear96 after Bed Friend.
wow! this book was a pure masterpiece. I feel emotionally attached to all the characters whether its chuay, nakun, kaew or others, the author made them so well developed that even if a character was just on the sidelines you felt emotionally attached by them. I love the way that phop and namun make promises in their past lives that help them reunite and fall in love in the present. I love kaew especially because he is such a strong person I think personally. he was chasing p'Jom for over 3 years and never gave up and even when he knew that jom didn't like him (jon was flirting with girls in front of kaew) he still continued to pursue Jom. only giving up when getting rejected. I love the way the author showed phop slowly coming to terms with his feelings and how the more aware he became the softer of a person he became. I relate alot to nakun because his character likely has some sort of anxiety, especially when he started to fall for phop, he had many doubts and overthank alot, seeking out advice from others and slowly allowing himself to fall in love. I love when jom realises his feelings for kaew when kaew is about to leave move on from him. and how he runs to kaew and asks him to stay. I love how kaew in that scene stands his ground but after joms love confession decides to move past that hurt feelings he acquired from jom. as someone who believes in past lives, I enjoyed the concept through the novel and how the author portrayed it. I also love chuay so much, I think I like his character because he is a large support for nakun and I think I also relate to him in how he carries alot of responsibilities and cares more about his loved one's than himself. one of my favourites scenes in the novel was the scene with chuay sick daughter, despite it being brief i liked it because we got to see the kindness of nakun and how chuay react when his loved one is in danger. overall would recommend.

I first learned about this book from the drama series. I was too impatient to wait for the show to finish, so I decided to read the book instead. I really wanted to find out the truth behind Klao’s father.
Nakhun is an English major. In one of his writing classes, the lecturer talks about something supernatural—what if people could travel to another dimension, like in transmigration stories. Nakhun doesn’t really pay attention. Not because he is not smart, but because he doesn’t like spending time on elective subjects.
Then something unbelievable happens. He is sent 400 years back in time and becomes Klao.
From what he slowly learns, Klao’s father was executed. After that, Klao was taken in by his father’s best friend. Because of everything that happened, Klao loses hope in life. He starts drinking, going to brothels, and getting into fights.
Nakhun remembers only bits and pieces of Klao’s life. More than anything, he just wants to go back home. But his way of speaking and behaving is very different, so it catches the attention of his childhood friend, Phop. Nakhun tries his best to stay away from Phop, while also searching for the truth behind Klao’s past and what really happened to his family.
The first half of the story is quite slow. It feels like driving at 60 km/h. This part focuses on building the world and keeping the mystery of Klao’s father hidden. Many side characters are introduced, and each one plays a role later on.
In the second half, the story becomes much faster. It feels like speeding up to 110 km/h. Phop starts to realise his true feelings. Nakhun also begins to understand why he was sent back in time. Everything builds up until the real person behind Klao’s father’s case is finally revealed.
One weakness of the book is that the stories of Jom/Thi and Kaew/Pun are not fully developed. They feel incomplete compared to the main plot.

The novel was great ok? I loved it but there were few things that bothered the heck out of me and overall disappointed me. I'll point out just the main one out.
Nakun went back in past and it's great but by the end he didn't want to come back in the present? I get it he love phop and all but still imagine being an English major, having a family who loves you, friends who stand by you and you working hard in your life and just because you went back in past and fell in love, you don't wanna come back anymore? That is just unrealistic. Because any normal human being would wanna come back.
Maybe it's just me, i don't know.

I didn't particularly care much for Jom and Kaew, so their special episodes didn't do it for me, but I can't wait to see how Domundi will have brought this to life, desperately hope some things will be familiar to me, since currently, after the first two episodes had already aired, the series is quite different; but I enjoy them both A LOT.
even though the opium case wasnt really explored that deeply especially towards the end where the arrest felt kinda rushed, the plot, characters, and storytelling were actually pretty solid. straight up 4 stars from me.

I couldn’t wait for the rest of the episodes…..but this was literally written for NetJJ and now I’m even more excited for the rest of the show, it suits them so well.
