I’m skilled at what I do and how I do it.

Picture the person you’re scared of who would make you hide… Have you?
Good. I’m their worst nightmare.
No one ever sees me coming or going. Unless I want them to.

The same skilled way I pick my targets, is the same way I knew the moment I saw him… he was mine.
He doesn’t know it yet but he’s the one. He’ll complete me in more ways than one.
He may run at first but when he gets to the hiding spot, I’ll be there to not just catch him but keep him.
He wants to be caught. He just doesn’t know it yet… but I do.

What would you do if a serial killer declares that you're going to be their husband in a year? That's the situation Huxley finds himself in when he makes a deal with Kinnie to get back his beloved puppy, Lucky. From that day forward Kinnie declares Huxley hers and will do anything even kill to ensure that no one touches what's hers.

This book was so good, I was so caught up in Kinnie's crazy with Huxley. Their cat and mouse game will make you not want to put their story down. I honestly just want to follow their crazy serial killer adventures. These two have a crazy unconventional love story that for some reason works.

Definitely, a 5 star read, if you are triggered by sexual assault or violence this is not going to be the book for you. Also, this is not a new author but a known author writing under a new alias, you find out at the end of the book who the author is and what book these characters are connected to. I look forward to reading more about these characters.

although i’m giving this a 5 star, i gotta bone to pick with the author, WHERE IS BOOK TWO??🧎🏾‍♀️

i fell in love with this book, was getting ready to shout about it from the damn rooftops, for it to end with a cliff hanger😭 with no sign of a second book

aside from my distress about there not being a second book (at least anytime soon), this book was amazing! absolutely batshit crazy but in the best way possible

this is a stalker romance but instead of the MMC being the stalker, it's the FMC, and i know we don’t wanna see our homegirls down bad for a man but this was done so tastefully, it’s one of those “you have to read it, to know”

i don't wanna say too much about the book but our FMC was such a looney bird but i loved it, and don’t let the MMC fool you, he’s just as crazy as she is👀

fabulous

I’ve not read a crazier enthralling book in my life. So happy it was recommended to me. Kinnie stalks Huxley for nearly a year. Convinced he’s her future husband. He runs whenever she finds him and ends up travelling the country. Kinnie is your typical anti hero and you can’t help but root for her to come out on top! Loved it

Kinnie and Huxley are one of the most unforgettable couples I have ever read about. Defying all normal conventions they take each other, and the world by storm for the most part. Jolie Alexander killed it from beginning to end with this story, and every chapter was more exciting than the last.
Kinnie is sexy, smart, loyal, a bit off the wall, and as crazy as they come. The moment her character came alive within the pages I loved her, and I loved her quirks. She was dedicated to her cause which was Hux, and she was not even close to giving up. Very much a woman after my own heart.
Huxley was mild in a sense, and while he could easily go from 0-100 he was still gorgeous, intelligent, and in many ways Kinnie's opposite.
When Kinnie happens to stumble across Huxley she immediately knows he is the one and feels a connection instantly....she just has to convince him about. They quickly begin a game of cat and mouse and Kinnie always in it to win manages to outwit Huxley every time. Huxley finds Kinnie crazy and gorgeous, and quickly deems her 'Crazy Curls." While Huxley takes time warming up to Kinnie once he finally sees the woman behind the crazy its when the real story unfolds. Kinnie is intense in every sense of the word and her desire for Huxley only amplified it.
I loved these 2, and every supporting character in this story only gives it more life. Jolie Alexander was spot on with this book, and I promise its one that you don't read just once!

Crazy.

Okay this was so fun. While this is a dark story and there are some triggers, I was highly entertained. Kinnie is crazy and a true serial killer. While the things she does can be scary, I was highly entertained following her. Hux is just as great. For a minute, I thought he be weak and on the run but once he accepted Kinnie’s love and who he truly is he was a crazy. A series on their escapades would be so entertaining and fun to read!

10 plus stars..no wonder it's such an amazing read because this is not the work by a new author. (One of my favorite author by the way). On the final chapters, we will get the clues .*wink2* . I really can't wait to see what will happen between Emerik and Bobbi (hopefully for the 2nd book the focus will be on Emerik and Bobbi, and the 3rd book will continue with Kinnie and Hux)

FIVE ✨’s - this has been on my TBR but the cover wasn’t doing it for me, plus I couldn’t find any detailed reviews in regards to rather or not there was a 3rd act break up. I AM SO HAPPY I READ THIS Y’ALL. 🥹 I laughed out loud, cried, giggled AND kicked my feet.

To sum the book up w/o giving too much away: h is a murdering stalker obsessed w/ the H. She ultimately drives him crazier than he already is and they fall in love. 😂💕 For this book to not have an epilogue and still get 5 stars?! I had so much fun. Maybe it’s because (aside from all the killing and stalking) they reminded me of myself & hubby. Down to the races, being from/living in TX, and then the h being the more psycho of the two💀

There were some grammar issues, but it didn’t phase me one bit. The only thing I hated was the amount of OM that got to see the h’s boobs. (Have no fear, I’ll explain) & the way the H talked to the h before he submitted.

I loved absolutely everything else but honorable mentions to:
•Waffle House in the afternoon.
•The scene where the h & her family gets him from the airport😂
•Their first wedding/ceremony/reception/honeymoon iykyk💖💖💖

Anywhoooo….

MMC: Huxley♥️ (Computer Whiz) • I really liked him, even when he was literally running for his life to get away from the h. He lost some cool points when he was mean to her a few times, esp when he squeezed her hand super hard BUT how could I blame him when she was so delulu😂 anyways, he got all of his points back and more once he FINALLY gave in to her antics. The date he planned? Swoon. The planning of the proposal-wedding-reception-honeymoon?!?! Ugh, my heart. Also, him crying?! That’s up there with men blushing >>> LOL

FMC: Kinnie💖 (Medical Examiner Assistant) • I’ve never read about a more hilarious and delusional woman. Like, kudos to her because I don’t know how much rejection I could’ve taken before giving up on convincing my future husband that he was indeed my future husband. Underneath all of her psycho, she was sweet and just wanted to be loved and love her man in return.

Anywhooo…

⚠️ + Info:
-Dual POV
-STALKING
-Murder: h kills people but she claims she isn’t a serial killer 😂
-Rape: not between MC’s
-Domestic abuse: not between MC’s
-(Attempted) SA + Sexual assault: against H when he was younger/h is assaulted on page
-No cheating, sharing or 3rd act break up

-No separation AFTER the H decides to be with her as well (yes, “be with her as well” because in her mind they’ve BEEN together lol)

-OWD: (Please note: the H didn’t care about these women below, but alas the h is cray cray)

OW1: H’s ex kidnaps Lucky, and the h offers to get the dog back for him. She does, but they have a little tiff where the h threatens her w/ her gun + tells her she’ll kill her if she doesn’t stop messing with the H and move on pretty much.

OW2: A neighbor keeps hitting on the H, and though he tries to only be cordial and always turns down her advances she doesn’t give up. One day the h warns her to stay away, it works for a little while. When it doesn’t work, the h causes a little… accident. 😂 (I shouldn’t be laughing but omgggg she was so hilarious & delusional I cannnnnot)

-OMD: (The h was never involved with any of these men romantically but…)

OM1: (All of this occurred while the h was undercover, and she needed to seduce him) a priest touches h’s breast, and in another scene she sits on his lap & touches his thigh before murdering him.

OM2: h’s neighbor attacks her while on a jog, and grabs her butt twice (H takes care of him before the h can murder him) and then another scene he attacks her again (while the H is out of town) and rips her shirt open to reveal her breasts - after this scuffle she kills him (there’s a reason they couldn’t just kill him, but I don’t wanna give that away hehe)

-Side characters: h’s mom + sister - I loved them both so much and their banter was so spot on (the mom reminded me of mine 😂), Emerik (h’s mentor) he’s complex… I liked him until he made good on his threat obviously, and I truly believe he harbors some feelings for the h & her “leaving him” for the H kinda hurt him rather he admits it or not. He made entirely too many comments that made me think “yeah, you’re jealous dude” & Debbie: H’s mom (I wish we got more time w/ her but the scene we did get was beyond beautiful & the portion of the book where I cried, only because that hit home), Lucky (H + h’s dog) & everyone else was background noise.

-HEA: Married twice, and planned their honeymoon. Tbh, it ended more on a cliffhanger except romantically bc they are FOREVER.🩷

WE NEED PART 2 NOW!!!

I didn't know what to expect when I started reading this, but I was blown away by how great this story was. I was sucked in from the first page. We need more unhinged FMCs who stalk and torment the MMC. I laughed so hard reading this dark romantic comedy. Kinney (FMC) was so ridiculous in her pursuit of Huxley that she left him no choice but to give in to her crazy ways. This is one of my favorite reads this year. A follow-up is definitely needed!!

Pretty dangerously awesome and addictive!

This book was a unique one of sick and twisted, with a touch of romance. Twisted obsession turns into a union of souls. I can't say much if I don't want to give it away. But, I can't wait for book 2, 3, 4, 5, etc. I hope you already have it written because This book is juicy and any subsequent books are going to be even juicier. This book was written by one of my favorite authors under different name. Great job and keep them coming please!

Twisted Goodness/ Stalkers R US

I am not sure if this is Ms. Alexander’s first book but it is incredibly good. I was engaged from the beginning to the end and was sad when the story concluded. While the book does not leave the readers with loose ends, many more opportunities exist for other installments! When Huxley meets Kinnie as he is heading to retrieve his puppy from a former girlfriend, Kinnie kindly offers to get the pup for him as she can see he is visibly angry. Little does Huxley realize that he has just embarked on a twisted journey of vigilante justice and insta-love. In addition, he has acquired a beautiful but slightly deranged “wife”. As Huxley seeks to distance himself from Kinnie, readers are given a rollicking and breathless story that is at times funny, poignant and violent. I hope we get more about Kinnie’s boss, the frightening Emerik and her sister Bonni!!! So good on so many levels.

Kinnie is a real life Dexter, dealing with past tragedy by channeling her pain into being a serial killing psychopath.

Huxley is the object of her obsession and has deep seeded anger issues.

Somehow, they’re able to function in society with their untreated mental illness while learning to love each other and control the darker aspects of their personalities. 4.5 Stars.

This book stands out as one of the wildest and most unpredictable reads I’ve encountered in years, weaving a narrative that is both thrilling and deeply unsettling. The female lead is a character like no other I’ve come across—she isn’t just different; she is unapologetically extreme in her behavior and motivations. From the very first page, we are introduced to a complex individual who is both charismatic and profoundly disturbed, navigating a fine line between brilliance and madness.

Her psyche is a captivating enigma; she embodies the essence of a true anti-heroine, making choices that are devoid of remorse or hesitation. Once she sets her sights on the male lead, Huxley, her intensity becomes irresistible and dangerously consuming. Her unyielding determination to claim what she desires drives her to shocking lengths, and she resorts to tactics that are both ruthless and astonishingly calculated.

As the story unfolds, the narrative immerses us in her shadowy impulses, exploring the darker recesses of her character. She seamlessly oscillates between being a stalker and a killer, demonstrating a chilling capacity for both obsession and violence. Despite the morally ambiguous and horrifying actions she takes, I found myself irresistibly drawn to her complexities. There’s an almost magnetic quality to her persona that makes it hard to look away, even as she traverses a path fraught with ethical dilemmas.

On the downside, I was left feeling somewhat frustrated by the abrupt ending. The lack of a resolution was particularly disheartening, especially since the book has been released with no indication of a follow-up. It leaves the reader craving closure, which is a notable drawback given the immense potential of the storyline.

Overall, the story itself is a thrilling rollercoaster ride, characterized by a fast pace and filled with unexpected twists that continuously kept me on the edge of my seat. The tension is expertly crafted, making it a gripping tale that holds you captive from beginning to end. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone who appreciates a captivating narrative featuring a truly unconventional protagonist.

A truly crazy couple

Very good after seeing this book in multiple book groups I read it. This book was wild and different just how I like them. I don't know who was crazier the hero Hex or the heroine Kinney. This book was very refresh because it was not your typical romance story. To say Kinney is a stalker is an understatement. She took stalking and crazy to a whole other level which I loved and Hex was just as off as she was. I hope the author writes a sequel to this book I need to read more about her mentor and his crazy methodical self.

5⭐️

If I could give a higher rating than 5 I would. I absolutely loved the crazy dangerous love between hux and kinnie. They had me grinning tewww much throughout, making me plot how to stalk my next conquest. Best romance I’ve read since the year started and my first book by the author but it most definitely won’t be my last. It took a while to get into reading and coming to terms with what I was reading, but after a while I accepted it and loved every minute of it to the point that I didn’t want it to be over.

Ok so I wasn’t a fan of the writing but I got invested in the story so I moved passed it. I honestly enjoyed the ending but where is the next book??? Like things got wrapped up but still so many questions. I will say though I wasn’t a fan of the beginning because I didn’t know why Kinnie was interested in Hux. Like we had no set up to her becoming obsessed with him. Also the thing with her mentor I feel like it could have been avoided. 🙄

My forensic brain kicks in, telling me that from this angle, the trajectory of the bullet will be a little off for him to have shot himself in the head. He’s right-handed so I'm on the correct side but some of the blood splatter will get on me, letting the investigators know someone else was in the car. Plus, the driver’s side window will be too bloody for me to drive the car anywhere else if I shoot him in the head.

i love forensic heavy books

I read Mr. Kelly first and when kinnie and Hux appeared in Mr. Kelly i just knew i wanted to read it and once I completed Mr. Kelly i jumped right into this book. Glad I did it was a good read. Once it was over first thing I thought was i know you lying I'm not at the end already. Kinnie us crazy and once she has her mind set on something she won't stop til it's hers. Her bad ways rubbed off on Hux. I just know Emerik took Bobbi and that needs to be a book too.

Absolute mind blowing

It's a little cringy, a lot sexy. I couldn't put it down. The adrenaline still pumping through me prevents me from writing a review that doesn't spoil the book but this was a slow burning, sweet train wreck and I loved every minute of it. You just have to read it!

Amazingly funny

Great story and character development. Stalker turned lover with a insanely funny twist. I throughly enjoyed this story with Kinnie’s humor and Hux’s quick return. This story isn’t your typical love story in fact it’s the rarest one I’ve read and it will keep you on your toes and up at night turning pages because it’s that good.

A deep drive into crazy

This was a fantastic read. I loved the insane situations that Kinnie kept getting into and Hux was just too perfect for her. I thought the ending was too abrupt though. A few more chapters to tie everything up would have been nice. But a great read. Loved every moment of this crazy journey for two hurting souls to find love.

Vigorous Courting

This book is a whole vibe! From their wildly unconventional meeting to their precarious precipice at the end of this read, Kinnie and Hux fascinate endlessly. Like reading this made me cheese for days, delightfully chuckle, fan myself in full swoon, bite my nails, and pat the twinges in my heart.

Lmao I honestly don’t know how to review this book. It was weird, creepy and disturbing but was actually pretty entertaining. They gave us so dark disturbed twisted antiheroes to root for. I kept asking “wtf?” while reading it but I’m guessing that was what the author was going for. I’m still shook at what I just read 😂

Awesome Dark Romance

This book was so dark, funny, and completely unexpected. Kinnie was all the way crazy but so lovable at the same time. I loved her and Hux and I’m glad he was just as crazy as she was.
