The remaining five in the group teach the savage girl they captured English so as to make communication easy. The savage girl is the Chief’s daughter and is unbelievably fast at learning what the group teaches her.
Shawn, the lawyer, suggests that they should be friendly with the savage to find their way around the island and possibly help them leave the island. The group attempts to go to the savages again, but this time with the help of the savage girl. They realized that there was a ship that had crashed on the island previously.
Will the plan go as Shawn and the others in the group hope when they go to the savages this time? What will the group do after finding out about the crashed ship?

Our group has a captive now and they try to use her to get as much information as possible. But can they trust anything she tells them?
This is book seven of the series. While it is not necessary to have read the earlier books in order to enjoy this one, it will definitely help.
This is a thriller with a lost island survivors theme and a lot of mystery. This is a serial, so the story is on the short side, but it is very well written and highly engaging. The mystery and intrigue are intense and our poor group of survivors never get a break. I started late in the series, but still found the story very enjoyable and I am hooked now. I look forward to completing the series, then eventually going back to experience from the beginning. For now, on to the next book!

While Shawn and Dean go hunting and Paloma stays in the cave, Emily makes friends with Nkechi (the island Chief's daughter who tried to help Tracy), whom she renames Mia.
They hope she'll show them a way off the island.
