A lot to unpack in this sweet and steamy story about Ridge and Clementine. Ridge is her brother’s best friend and she’s had a crush on him forever. This is a pretty good story. I like the second-chance romance, single dad, best friend's little sister type of stories. This is a good basis, but it's lacking a bit. The first half of the book is great. Everything is great through the part of the book when they have their first dinner with Hadley. After that point it feels a bit rushed. I think the story could use a bit of filling out, filling in the gaps and making the progression of their relationship more realistic. I like it but, considering the whole story takes place in less than a month, at the romance protion does, it just not enough to make it a great story. It's good, don't get me worng, but it could be better.
Having said all of that, the author still deserves props for what she wrote.
I loved the love story between Clementine, Ridge and eventually Hadley. The descriptions of her, her family and Ridge's life were explained very well. You understand what Clementine and her brother went through losing their parents. Bridge's upbringing. Making them all who they are. Clementine and Ridge loved each other from a young age but a life experience she had angered him changing their lives. She goes away to college and returns after graduation. She finds Ridge was given custody of a daughter, he never knew about. Read how life changes for all of them. It's a good book and I hope you enjoy it as much as I have. Written by Cindy :)
The author has given us a wonderful story that pulls us into the lives of Clementine, Ridge and his daughter, Hadley. Clementine and Ridge have loved each other when they were younger but the age difference kept them apart. Now as adults, they are thrown back together when Ridge learns that he has a daughter he knew nothing about. Will this be their second chance at a relationship?

This book was cute, but it definitely fell flat overall. The couple was cute, but I really didn’t feel much chemistry between them. There was little to no banter and I just didn’t really care if they got together honestly. This wasn’t bad, but I think it should’ve been longer. It was too short for anything to feel genuine.
I was looking for something short and steamy because I’ve been reading a lot of longer books. This was short. Not see steamy. There was no character development even though it was short you can still get some depth. The resolution was lame. There was one sex scene. That was barely a sex scene. Just not worth the time. I got it in a stuff your Kindle day and deleted it.
This book was so good. I loved reading about Ridge and Clementine - they were amazing characters and their story was just so good. So glad I was able to be a part of their journey.

Ridge has been best friends with Clementine's brother forever. She comes home from college the same day a social worker drops off his daughter that he didn't know he had. Cute short story.
This was a decent little novella. It felt like it was lacking some substance and because it was a novella things happened at the speed of light. There were some pretty big things that felt glossed over.
Short and sweet. The beginning was rather unexpected for me but I think it was necessary to explain the distance between Ridge and Clementine for so long. Their story wound up being very sweet and when they got together they were very hot together!
This is an instalove romance that has been in the making for years. Good storyline, one of my favorite tropes best friends's little sister with all the angst that goes with it. These characters were well written and the HEA wasnt too rushed.
This book had many errors that made things confusing. They kept messing up the brother and the love interests names. I kept thinking she was in love with her brother.
