The stories about Medusa have instilled terror in the hearts of many for centuries. The head full of snakes, her mesmerizing and deadly gaze, and the stone victims she left behind as a warning to others who dared to look upon her beauty. But what if the stories we’ve been told aren’t entirely true? Every story has two sides, and it’s finally time to hear Medusa’s side.
Medusa has spent centuries on the run after faking her death, until she settles in her refuge amongst the humans in a town called Tranquility. She thinks she’s finally found a safe haven where she can live in peace, until he comes in and demands more from her.
Remedy is a man who gets everything he wants, that is until a stubborn, fiery female tells him no. There is something that draws him to the petite beauty who hides herself away from the world, and he intends to find a way to break down her walls and get what he wants, no matter what he has to do to get her to submit to him.
Two people at war with each other suddenly find themselves thrown together, as an unknown threat comes to destroy the very thing they are fighting about. Has Medusa’s past come back to haunt her, or does Remedy have enemies of his own?

I am an Indie Author! So be on the lookout for that!! Cover Designer, and reader. I have been reading all types of books by many different authors for years and I just love the idea of love so I decided I should share what I dream and hope to have someday! I'm also a military brat, so I always have this itch to travel to a new place that's another one of my passions. I have a book club if you're interested in getting sneak peeks to my new books, as well as participate in deep book discussions, and my character introductions to new series! lookup
I literally devoured this book! I loved the retelling of Medusa's story. The authors did a good job mixing Greek mythology and current events into the storyline. I wanted to fight Athena and Poisedon for what they did to Medusa buuut Athena redeemed herself. Loved Remedy and the way he loved on Nesa. So good!
This book was all that and a bag of chips. The both of you have really outdone yourselves. Poisedon was really full of himself. But, I was pissed that Athena did not believe Medusa, but that is what happens when your dickmatized. Nessa (Medusa) went through a lot, but I was so glad that she met Remedy (Triton) and he did not give up on making her his mate. But what I truly loved is how all three women came together and realized that they had more in common and not assume. Definitely can't wait for book two
Greek mythology in today's setting 💥💥💯.. this is a unexpected treasure. The blending of 3 realms flow effortless. Can't wait for other Goddess stories.
So I'm going to with a three star rating with this one because I liked the idea of the love story between Medusa and Triton. Also the action scenes were good and I like the idea of a romance for Medusa as she always gets a bad wrap in these greek mythology stories/retellings. But here is my thing, it was just hard for me as a reader to believe in the relationship between Medusa and Triton at the end of this becuase imo we didn't get much of them together on page. Too much of other side plots overshadowed their time.
I do think this will be a good series should the authors continue with it...as I admit there were some side characters that were truly interesting.
Medusa deserves more retellings. Her anger is justified and I was expecting that she burned more stuff down after what Poseidon did. The fact that Athena gave a tepid a pilot and Amphitrite just turned a blind eye to his ways. I hated that and of course the rampant misogyny. Again I wanted !more destruction but her HEA i think was a workaround
CN: SA, grooming, serial cheating, attempted SA, emotional abuse, domestic violence, misogyny, financial manipulation
I wanted to dive deeper into the world of fantasy, but I had limitations on what I wanted to get into. So, when I stumbled upon a Medusa retelling, I was thrilled—it combined two of my favorite tropes: urban settings and Greek mythology. This book exceeded my expectations, and I can’t wait for more!
I loved how Iesha and Annita preserved the authenticity of Greek mythology while seamlessly integrating the urban elements. The dialogue was fresh and engaging, making the story a delight to read. If you're familiar with Greek mythology, you know that Medusa's tale is typically tragic. This retelling flips that narrative on its head, portraying her as a victim of a cruel curse, and you find yourself wholeheartedly rooting for her.
The cast is fantastic, featuring not just Medusa but also a captivating array of characters, including a rather unhinged Poseidon, along with Zeus, Athena, Amphitrite, Hades, and Perseus. The introduction of new demi-gods like Remedy (Triton), Po, Torch, and Massika adds even more excitement.
What really stood out was how Iesha and Annita skillfully blended the divine and human realms, showcasing how the Greek gods wielded their power over mortals. This is a brilliantly executed retelling, and I highly recommend picking it up. I'm especially eager to explore Massika and Torch's story next—they definitely caught my interest!
Where do I begin? This book cover so many issues graciously. From stalking, to the issue of women not holding the man accountable for cheating and tormenting the woman in situation. But also showed how we as women can finally see though the b.s. and and heal each other. Also how fragile some peoples mental illness are because Poseidon that man need more than that cell. He brought back my personal experience. Whew chile! Thank God for padded cells. I enjoyed this book on such a deep level. And really enjoyed all the characters. I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes from here. Well done Ladies ⚘⚘⚘
Medusa was done dirty by some arrogant god named Poseidon who can’t control his sexual urges. She was a vengeful legend but wanted peace. Remedy was determined to do better and be better than his father. He had his heaux faze but aspired for more. He wanted to have a relationship with his true mate and honor and cherish her. But while he was yet to meet her he was about his money. The actions of a greedy and self centered god sets off a series of events where the repercussions of deception had an impact for many years. Will they both get what they are looking for?
This was a really good story, with good characters and funny dialogue. It was intriguing to see the modernization of ancient mythical characters. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the errors in the book which were present from start to end. There weren't enough to make me stop reading but they were definitely there and were slightly distracting. All in all I would recommend this book to anyone wanting to read a love story with more than a few twists and turns to it.
I was totally happy with this version of the Greek myth of Medusa. She was definitely a victim. She was prosecuted twice for simply being a beautiful woman. Thanks to this books version of Perseus he saw her true heart and decided to help her instead of kill her. Medusa was able to find love and happiness with someone unexpected. Enjoyed this book and look for to reading more of the Goddess scrolls.
I just don’t know what to say about this book. It’s like when you eat the last piece of cake and look for more. I really enjoyed the growth of Medusa and Remedy. I just wanted more of Remedy back story and his cousins. This book just make me want to read more from these ladies.
Wow I read this book in 3 hours because I couldn’t put it down. It was so good I loved the retelling of Medusa I knew it was always more to her story or I liked to believe it was this was so awesome I can’t wait till more stories drop and I can’t wait to read about Sy we know that’s not the end of him.
It was neat to see figures from Greek Mythology intertwined with the current world. The way they spoke and their preoccupation with everything sex made them seem less like gods , As someone who loves history and Greek mythology, it was nice to see Medusa's story told
Finally somebody did it right! They crushed this! I’ve been waiting on somebody to do something with Greek mythology and baby they did not disappoint! They pooled me in from the gate! I can’t wait for the rest of the scrolls! Bring them on! I expected nothing less from these 2! Sensational
Omg! I loved this book, it was a whole new perspective on Medusa. I hope this is not a one and done because they have not scratched the surface of Goddesses that I would love them to do. Isis, Sekhmet, Hathor, I can’t even name them all. The authors made this such a believable story because I am one to think that what’s old is new.
Greek mythology and urban literature 🔥🔥 I loved everything about this story. I like the ending when Athena was able to apologize and admit she was wrong for what she did to medusa this is definitely a must read
I loved the characters I love the story line I just loved this book I can’t wait to see what the Goddess are going to be in and Torch n his wife I am truly a fan of this series great book
That father got me so messed up! How could he think that what he was doing was okay. Now he is all alone without nobody. I am so happy for Nesa, but she should have done oh girl who turned her ugly bad. She should have got some type of payback.
Really enjoyed the twist on Medusa and having a back story to put with the popular Greek mythology character. Loved the connection and relationships she shared with Remedy and Raine. Good, quick read with lots of action.
I love how you wrote about Medusa, I couldn't put the book down. I'm glad Remedy found her and showed her what true love is. Now, that Posideon is a piece of work and got everything he deserved. Another great book by this author. Can not wait to read the next one.
I didn’t think I would like this story, because what I have read about Medusa in stories. But I really love this story, can’t wait to read the next book. If you haven’t read this story go get it now, you will not be sorry getting it.
I love this tale of medusa Everything that she endured In the end I'm happy that she found what she was supposed to have in the 1st place I just hope that Poseidon doesn't get his way Can't wait to hear the next tale of this series
This was really good I enjoyed the twists and turns in this book. I loved the happily ever ver after in the end but I think there will be more bs with Sy. Looking forward to seeing what he has up his sleeve
Such a good book . A unique twist on old Greek mythology. You can tell the authors did there research because he flowed naturally from what old mythology to current times . Would love to see more stories and a series for this
Sy abused his status and people. He had no love for anyone but himself. I hope he never gets out. I was so happy for Medusa/Nesa she deserved to be free and happy. Athena apologized like she should have
This was my first book by the authors and enjoyed it to the last page. It definitely was a twist on the urban legend and I can't wait to see how Torch and Missaka story turns out.
It was so good . I honestly have been waiting for years for someone to pick up her story and tell it . I loved it all . You guys should definitely read it .
