Could she ever trust him after he broke her heart? Will he pick her over his loyalty to the Templar Knights? Can they find the love they once shared?

It is Willow Hawke’s fault her sister is in peril. Charismatic and beautiful, she has always been able to get what she wants from men. All of them but one. When he returns, she wants to punish him for leaving her and lifts a book from him. But she never imagines the consequences of her action nor the adventure she will be swept up in.

Christian Sterling never found a place to fit in until he was accepted by the Warriors of the Order. Tasked by the Grandmaster with delivering a book to a Templar monk, Christian is angered when Willow steals it. With dangerous men searching for it, Christian knows he must find the book and prevent it from falling into the wrong hands.

Thrown together, they must run from bounty hunters, traitors, and mercenaries all searching for the book. The betrayal runs much deeper than they think. Can Willow and Christian trust each other enough to fall in love again?

The adventure continues with Willow and Christian, the warrior practically raised with the Hawkes and was told to leave after her father sees their first kiss. Years later, they meet again at the Chateau Le Bezu and are forced to run. The black book written in code is the center of a battle between the French king and the Templar Knights. Willow stole it and gave it to her sister Sage to decode. Christian has to get the book back. He and Willow follow Sage, but mercenaries and the King's Knights also want the book. The old priest who died for the black book, gives Willow another book, this one is red. Lots of travel and sword play interrupts their trip. Along the way, they give in to the feelings they have for each other. The journey does not end when the sisters and the men they love find each other. The search continues in the next book and will have answers to all the questions. As I mentioned before in the review for a Raven, the three books
overlap each other. I recommend reading in order as if reading a complete book. The Hawke sisters can take care of themselves!

A wonderful adventure and a second chance at true love, although the journey will be a dangerous one!

Revenge often gets you in trouble, and when Willow takes a book that Christian, she has no idea what the consequences might be. She just wants to hurt me the way her hurt her.

Christian has always longed for a place to belong, because his family only hurt him with their words and deeds. When he is tasked by the Templar Knights to take a book to a monk, he feels he can gain some respect and become part of something important.

Unfortunately, Willow's theft brings them both into danger and the "fun" begins! Love this story!

The book was very entertaining. I liked the excitement and the adventure that Willow participated with Christian on. Having the help of her other two sister was a help. I thought that the romance between Christian and Willow was a little hot. The verbiage from the book from the beginning, certainly gave me a lot of clues as to how their relationship would go in the book. The was good. It’s a nice book to cozy up to on a quiet night.

Ridiculed by his father, mocked by his brother, Christian Sterling searches for a family to belong to. He believes he found it in the Templar Knights. Will their past keep them apart …

This story as the third was a bit different as while it shares the timeline of the two firsts, it also has more voices than the main couple. In fact the narrative explains part of the event that brought the sisters together at this turn of their life. So it opens with a event set a bit before the other stories, putting under light what Willow was hiding and her initial heartbreak.

Willow feels like everyone who counts in her life will leave her, whatever it is unwillingly or not. She is the one left behind. Like the man she had come to love and departed without even a goodbye.
Christian thought he had found a place to stay with the Hawkes but once more he had to find another path to continue his journey.

When they meet again, there is so much left unsaid between them, they struggle to trust one another. Between Christian’s secrets and Willow’s broken heart, faith in the other is not an easy going thing.
Yet, can they rebuilt what was once, or are they doomed to a lonely future from having missed their chance to mend their romance…
Their story is not an easy journey, their past history and struggles come between them at every turn. I was shouting at them to not follow this or that way, to listen to their heart. Still, can love be enough to heal their bond…

I expected this book to be the last, but finally there is need of one last book to round up everything. This one I am even more curious to read as it will feature the three couples.

Willow Hawke is the youngest of three sisters.  They have all been brought up very differently than most young women.  They are excellent swordswomen, and can track and hunt as well as any man.  Our heroine wants the attention of a certain man, but goes about getting it in an unusual way.

Christian was tasked to deliver a book to one of the monks at a Templar stronghold. When it gets stolen, it causes more problems than anyone could possibly guess.

This is the third part of an historical romance series,  and they are best read in order.  Each book covers the adventure of one of the sisters and are set in the same moment in time.  We get lovely characters,  lots of danger and plenty of excitement.

Good fun.

Laurel O'Donnell’s “Willow” Medieval Romance Beauties With Blades Series Book 3

Oh my goodness I have enjoyed this series so much. Christian Sterling broke the heart of Willow Hawke by leaving her, hoping to join the Templar Knights. To hurt him she stole a book that Christian was supposed to deliver to a monk for the Grandmaster.

This is a wonderful, well written, action packed romance and adventure tale. I enjoyed the characters and this exciting story. I love that the sisters are all swordswomen.

Thank you so much Ms. O’Donnell for this exciting love story.

This is another entertaining medieval adventure romance set in France with the youngest sister taking centre stage. It is fine but the plot is essentially a rehash of the previous two books and I still think the first book is the best. I will read the conclusion to the series in the hope that this will provide greater satisfaction.

This was a fun romantic adventure and one of the best of the series. A woman who knows how to use her looks and a sword makes for a great character. The intrigue and suspense (okay, and the romance) kept me interested and made for a fast read. I am looking forward to the next in the series.

this book is a great 3rd book to the series and the story has once again shown that love always is worth going for and can also be hard to reach. I have received this book for an honest arc review,

This series gives us three sisters that have been taught swords and blades are complicated by a series of events that find themselves in trouble with others trying to take what the have been given.
The characters are interesting and well developed and you will feel like you know them very well before the book ends.
