Maybe there really was Christmas magic in the small town of Holly Valley. I hadn’t even left the airport when I was hit by its spell. Sierra. With her angel face and sweetly shy energy, she made my protective instincts kick in for the first time. I needed to care for her. Not just while I was home for the holidays. Forever. Feeling my sexy girl cuddled in my arms was my new favorite thing in the world. But I couldn’t tear her away from the first real home she’d ever had. I’d have to convince Dad there are a few things more important than the expansion of our family business. Then convince my beautiful Sierra that I was worth taking a chance on. *** You’ll love this “high heat & sweet” romance full of priceless holiday moments, instalove, and a HEA. Grab the whole series! Jacob and his two brothers grew up in Holly Valley and share the town's love for Christmas. They work for the family business of furniture making. Their father recently expanded the business with branches in three nearby cites and each brother is in charge of a branch. Jacob is tired of being away from home and has plans to return. On his trip home for the annual Christmas holiday, he runs into a beautiful woman named Sierra. He offers to share his Uber ride with her to help her get downtown. He finds out that Sierra is moving to Holly Valley to live with her aunt and work in the hardware store her aunt owns. Jacob immediately offers to be her tour guide to the town. He fell for Sierra the instant he saw her and doesn't want to give any one else a chance.

Sierra was dragged around the country when she was a child because her mother kept switching jobs and men. She tried to make it on her own but when things fell apart, her aunt saved her. She was given a new job and a new home. Sierra doesn't want to risk her new home for anyone. She doesn't want to follow a man for a relationship because it never worked for her mother. When she learns that Jacob lives and works far away, she starts pushing him away so she won't get hurt.

Magical Christmas romance !! 🎄

This was perfection. Simple, utter holiday romance perfection with a sugar sweet happy ending !! ❤️

Sierra Williams has never really belonged. A childhood of being dragged around from place to place has left her adrift. Only until she moves to live with her Aunt Lucy above the hardware store, does she get an inkling of what laying down actual roots could feel like. And she wants to belong there. In Holly Valley. With Jacob King.

Jacob, the helpful gentleman offering to share a ride with her from the airport, turns out to be a dream come true. Sweet, gentle, affectionate, but not afraid to let her know he wants her. Perhaps for life.

I loved the small town setting, the people, the holiday buzz, the Christmas spirit that took over the entire place. I could see the beautiful sight of the Walk of Lights, hear the carols sang at the skating event, feel like a part of the small town with a big heart.

Sierra might be a shy, young woman, but she has a spine, which I really loved about her. Jacob is a true dreamboat who not only respects his lady, but also knows how to ravish her so thoroughly it leaves the reader fanning themselves !!

I'll be reading more from this author, for this first taste of their writing ignited a spark that is about to grow into a full-blown wildfire !! ❤️‍🔥

In the first book in her 3 Kings for Christmas series, Haley Travis tells the story of the youngest King brother, Jacob. Home to Holly Valley for the annual family and town Christmas festivities, Jacob King meets the young and beautiful Sierra at the airport awaiting a cab. Sierra is moving to Holly Valley to live with her aunt and help her run the town hardware store, after never before really having had a home thanks to her flighty mother. Jacob knows from the moment he lays eyes on Sierra that he wants to be with her, but his return to Holly Valley is just meant to be temporary, and Sierra isn't about to pick up the roots she has just planted. This is a fast-paced, romantic, steamy age-gap love story with a swoon-worthy hero, a strong heroine, and a supporting cast you cannot help but fall in love with. Looking forward to my next visit to Holly Valley!

Pluses and Minuses

I was a bit put off at first by what I consider to be sloppy language errors, like comma splices and far too many false subjects (variations on there is/are/was/were). I did receive an ARC copy, but a quick check at an online bookseller revealed these errors persist in the published edition. But I'm glad I stuck with this story as I ultimately found it charming. I liked the hero and the heroine right away, and the small town with its love of Christmas was a delight. Of course, a romance needs a little angst along the way, but the author made it character driven, fueled by both backstory and current circumstances for the couple… which I always love. And of course, we do get our holiday HEA. A sweet and enjoyable story that gets you into the Christmas spirit.

I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.

Sierra is moving to Holly Valley to help her aunt with her store and to finally find a place to put down some roots. Jacob is the youngest of the King brothers and he’s home in Holly Valley for the Christmas holidays. He meets Sierra at the airport when she’s needing a ride into town. There’s an instant attraction and connection between the two, and from that moment Jacob knows he wants Sierra to become his and sets out to do just that. I loved the Christmas spirit of the whole town. I can’t wait to read the book for the next King brother!!

Jacob and Sierra meet and sparks fly, but in the next few weeks, Jacob will be leaving for a bigger city and Sierra will be making Holly Valley home. She has never had stability and a solid place to call home and now Jacob does not want to leave either. Mom to the rescue and the three boys are now headed back home instead of being near one of their furniture showplaces. The characters are heartwarming in their feelings and determination. The storyline follows Jacob and Sierra as the tables are turned and they can be together. Loved the ending with the wishes and reality.

Jacob has been outside of his town traveling back-and-forth to help enlarge the King family furniture name. He’s ready to come home. His last visit Sierra was at the airport along with him. Instant connection. Not really sure how much of an age gap there is think there’s a lot but it’s enough that she feels lost and she needs to find herself and he’s willing to help. I agree. More of a full length story. There are still two other brothers who are in need of finding their special someone. There is no cliffhanger

Another great age gap story with a small town twist. This is a great start to a new series and can't wait to see the two older brothers' stories. Sierra and Jacob overcome several obstacles including some of their own insecurities.

Again, story has plenty of life lessons intertwined with a great plot. The town and characters are well written, enough that wish it was a real place. Loved the over the top Christmas spirit of the town and residents.

I enjoyed this Christmas story, it had a Hallmark movie feel to it but one with steam mixed in. The setting had a magical feel to it because of the time of year and the community. I liked seeing Jacob and Sierra get to know each other and seeing their connection and chemistry grow. I liked the respect, support, understanding, romance and love in this and I am looking forward to reading the other two King brother's stories now.

This was a sweet Hallmark like novella that I really enjoyed. It takes place in a small town where the King family manufactures furniture which keeps the town running. The town runs several holiday events throughout the story. The one I loved the most was the Christmas wish in an ornament event. I have even thought about doing this with my family this year. It’s very sweet and the relationship that grows between Sierra and Jacob is delightful. It is a fast paced book but it is a warm holiday story that I did enjoy.

The author has given us a wonderful Christmas story that pulls us into the lives of Jacob and Sierra and does not let go. Jacob is home for the holidays and meets Sierra at the airport as she is searching for a way to get to town. They have an instant connection but he has to return to his job in the city and she just wants to put down roots. Is their relationship doomed from the start?
