Jhanvi Sikand I was supposed to marry my childhood friend, Mohit Raichand. Call it fate or destiny, I tied the knot with the Forbidden Heir of the Raichand family – Aarav Raichand, instead. I knew nothing about him except that he used me as a pawn to start a war to snatch from the Raichands what was legally his.
Aarav Raichand Despite being the firstborn in the Raichand family, they forbade me from the rights and tags I should legally own. My father was secretly married to my mother, his middle-class lady love. Yet my egoistic grandmother got him re-married to another woman from her rich circle. She considers their offspring, Mohit Raichand, as the true heir of the family now. I would have ignored it all had her actions not taken my mother’s life. I pledged on my mother’s grave to crush the ego of my grandmother and snatch what is rightfully mine, including the woman she was getting Mohit married to.
A Fight for dominance altered to War for Love. One war, Three Lives, Only Two could survive.

From where to start, this story is such a emotional roller coaster ride, from the first page itself. The way author has weaved the story it’s beautiful & heart melting.
Aarav Raichand was a forbidden grandson of Durga Raichand who never accepted the marriage of her son with Aarav’s mother. Aarav wants to avenge for the injustice done to his mother & Jhanvi becomes a pawn in this entire game of revenge. Little did He know soon this pawn would become his queen & would make him see the world beyond his revenge. I loved when Jhanvi said, “Is this revenge worth your life.”
You’d have to read the story to find out how Aarav changed for Jhanvi & how he forgives his family. The chemistry of the lead characters is hot & sizzling. I won’t call Aarav an alpha kinds, he is way too romantic & the way he changes to get Jhanvi back in his life is mind blowing.
The best is epilogue. Trust you’d not expect an epilogue to be an emotional one but it is. The best part there is nothing overwhelming in the story. You’d actually feel like you are watching a Bollywood movie with the most sizzling pair as the star cast.
I enjoyed it thoroughly & I must say this novel of Madhuri is a trailblazing kinds. Overall wonderful read.
Forbidden by Madhuri Tamse Love is always precious to find but very difficult to keep intact and near to your heart.
Aarav Raichand is a forbidden grand son of Raichand family who is strong, famous buisness tycoon, billionaire at 30 and very possesive, protective and loving husband to Jhaanvi.
Jhaanvi a simple, sweet, independenta and a bait between Raichand grandsons.
Life is never easy for Aarav but his hardwork and persistence to achieve what is his rightfully made him The Aarav Raichand and now these is no looking back.
Jhaanvi a promise between two fathers and a lucky charm for Aarav. Will the tension between forbidden and rightfully, lawfully heir of Raichand resolve or the fight will break many hearts, relationship and the famous Raichand name tag.
The story is great, flow excellent and the heat, chemistry and the attraction between the hate birds are amazing to read n enjoy.
Wow what a wonderful book by Madhuri Tamse. I simply love the forced marriage or arranged marriage genre of books. I loved the lead character Aarav and Jhanvi or Jaan as Aarav likes to call her. Such wonderful strong characters, I don't regret spending my Saturday reading this book. Well done Madhuri you never fail to leave me happy and satisfied after reading your books. Like I always say I can't wait for your next release which is in December.
“He was and will always be the illegitimate boy born out of my son’s mistakes. He’s forbidden.”
Aarav Raichand was the first born child of , Mahendra Raichand and his secret wife, Geeta. He was also named as the forbidden heir of the Raichand family because his grandmother Durga Raichand never accepted him and his mother as a member of the Raichand family and banished him from owning every title of the family. Aarav took a vow to make this women bow her head before his mother one day and so he started to make plans the from the day he was able to match up to the Raichand dynasty.
Jhanvi Sikand, Mohit Raichand’s (Aarav’s step brother and so called legal heir) would be bride was an easy target for Aarav’s revenge. He knew he would win half the battle and watch the start of the downfall of the Raichand’s by making this women his own possession.
Whether it was simple or complex using Jhanvi as a pawn, you will come to know as you read through the story.
Will Aarav be accepted as a legitimate grandson?
To me this story seemed like a Yashraj movie with lots of family drama, romance, arrogance, jealousy, hatred, revenge and a superb ending. Aarav is one of those characters whom you hate in the beginning but eventually start loving. Durga Raichand is portrayed as a very strong and bold women. I admired Jhanvi’s character which so charismatic and admirable that anyone can fall in love with a women like her. In fact all the characters are sketched fabulously and have their own share of role to play.
Author Madhuri Tamse loves to write love stories with very powerful characters and each of her story is different from the previous one with a fantastic ending. You will never get bored of any story as they keep you hooked till the end.
I not only recommend this book but all the books written by author Madhuri Tamse.
Aarav's need to avenge his mother, the complex human emotions, his feelings towards Jhanvi are very well written. The journey of Aarav and Jhanvi thru thick and thins of life is very nicely portrayed. Their decisions and how they mature catch the eye. The chemistry is so well written.👍👍
Good entertaining read... I have read so many books from the author and have liked most of them, loved some, esp those marriage jitters series ones. So was the case with this one. Overall a nice clean, happy read and I hope the couple of Aman & Jaya get their own book sometime soon.
Madhuri tamse has proved yet again that her writings are wow worthy.!! A cold ruthless ceo and a kind hearted girl, a roller coaster ride of revenge ,love commitment.couldnt take my eyes of the book...so intriguing. Keep it up .
Madhuri!! can!! you!! please!! use!! less!! Exclamation-mark!! in!! your!! books!! and...that also, in a group of two(!!) I get it...you want to express your feelings and might get a bit excited...but let me tell you, (!!) is not needed everytime. Because it becomes a bit irritating at times. BTW...the book is nice and worth the read.(3.5-4 stars)
Forbidden highlights Madhuri's evolution as a writer. Each line, dialogue, situation is well thought out and perfect. Aarav Raichand is one of the best male lead characters ever. He is flawed but the most charming arrogant man you would chance upon in the fiction world. He has a neat way of blending the right and wrong without bringing the grey into it. The story has weight but Madhu narrates and unravels it in an easy way. While I always looked forward to this one, I must say I'm more eager for Fallen, part 2 now. Aarav and this time even Jhanvi is going to be on a rollercoster that I'm excited to hop on.
SYNOPSIS: Jhanvi Sikand is to be married to her childhood sweetheart, Mohit Raichnad. But fate has something else stored for her. Aarav Raichand, the older Raichand son who has never been given the status of being the rightful and legitimate heir due to the discrimination by the Raichand Matriarch. Even after being the first born son, instead his step-brother Mohit, who got everything that was rightfully his, which also led to his mother's demise. Now, the top dog in the business, Aarav, is hell-bent of exerting revenge from his grandmother and his stepbrother by ruining them and taking away the people who stand by them. One of those happen to be Jhanvi. Now, the very first step is to steal away his step-brother's bride.
MY REVIEW: The story in the trope of enemies-to-lovers forced into a relationship. I love Aarav, who had awareness about how his actions are affecting the people around him, but like every human blinded by the lust for revenge, he couldn't stop himself. Jhanvi, on the other hand, was quite easy to manipulate, but she had her ways to get on Aarav's nerves, rendering him speechless sometimes.. which I loved the most. I love to read @madhuritamse's books... but only one request is for proof checking before, is a bit required. But she is a budding writer with marvelous ways to weave a beautiful tale...
It's about Aarav Raichand and Jhanvi Sikand. Despite being the first born, Aarav is treated as the forbidden heir of Raichand family due to his father secretly marrying his mother who hails from middle class. His egoistic grandmother didn't accept his mother as her daughter-in-law but remarried to another woman of her choice. Watching her mother's pain for many years made Aarav to take an oath of avenging to crush his grandmother's ego of taking what is rightfully his, including the woman who was getting married to his step brother Mohit.
Jhanvi was about to marry his childhood friend Mohit but ends up marrying the forbidden heir of Raichand family, Aarav and she hates him for using her as a pawn in his revenge.
Though I am not a fan of forced marriage trope, the intense revenge drama and electrifying chemistry between the leads makes it worth reading.
Few dialogues of the book about love winning over revenge stands out and the book becomes more intriguing from pre-climax as few twists and reveals increases our interest to read further.
Overall, this is one interesting read and those who love the passionate chemistry between the leads will thoroughly enjoy this.
Book 2 Fallen is again about Aarav Raichand with another woman but not Jhanvi and the thrill is almost itching to read it right away.
A boring story with very confusing and irritating characters
Throughout the story we will feel like author really tried hard to make Aarav a hero with a strong persona soft heart with hard walls but she ended up with an immature adult with little to no brain cells. I had a few expectatiobs after reading Marriage bubbles, jitters and Royal vows. The writing has developed a lot from each of those books but this feels like an anomaly.
Jhanvi is the most dumbest lead I have ever read. She so dumbly believes literally anyone can fool her. I dont understand if the author wanted to potray innocent and naive character through dumbness or what.... Hero always calls her feisty but she was nothing short of brat. I just hated both the immature leads I really had to put in my efforts to complete the book just to make an organised opinion.
I did not like it much. You can read many more good books with good quality content for the time you will be wasting on this one.
Trope: marriage of convenience; slow burn; enemies to lovers
Stars: 5/5
-where do I even start? This is the first book I have read from the author @Madhuri Tamse and I am thrilled. The hype is real. Hands down to the perfect slow burn, enemies to lovers Indian romance packed with drama, tragedy, romance and thrill.
will I recommend this to a friend? Yes
Will I re-read it? Hell yes!!
The character development especially of the male lead aka Aarav Raichand is noteworthy. From being the un-forgiving, ruthless, cold-hearted businessman who swore to avenge his mother’s death, to being merciful, compassionate loving and dutiful husband, grandson and brother.
I loved how a tug of war goes between the two leads in the first half of the novel. The constant disagreements and never-ending fights, that eventually turn into swoon worthy romance has been beautifully portrayed. for more book reviews, recommendations, fanart check out my instagram @rapaciousreader
This book is about the forbidden heir of the Raichand family Aarav. Life has been unfair to him and his late mother. Aarav has sworn to take down the family that was supposed to be his but abandoned him. Only, his plans waver when Jhanvi sets foot in his life. When the whirlwind of the situation brings them closer despite their banter, Aarav is left to choose between Jhanvi and his revenge. Read Forbidden to find out more!
I loved this book and the writing style of Madhuri. I could visualize every scene and the tension between the MCs. The twist at the end related to Mohit was totally unexpected. I loved how justice was brought to Aarav.
The author also puts light on the age-old tradition in India where the man or woman doesn't have much say in their marriage. This is a barbaric tradition that should be stopped. Especially if the couple involved is not happy with the marriage.
A very boring story with very bad writing and very very stupid & bad characters.
The MMC’s image is pushed so hard as someone who’s very nice bla bla but then he tore all her dresses just because he was jealous and she literally got rash from the dress she was still wearing at the time since she had no other option. I mean I love jealous possessive boyfriend/husband but this was so not it. He also kisses her without consent so nope. Every time he does something shitty, he feels sorry afterwards but doesn’t change.
The FMC is dumb tbh. She’s just floating with the wind or something. If the wind says let’s help Mohit, she does so and if the wind says oh no my husband is attractive, she goes on and kisses him … and if the wind says lets move back to London , that’s where she ends up.
The plot is dumb as well. I mean I get it he’s avenging his mother and tbh I support that but idk that avenging is boring.
I am kind of surprised I managed to finish this book. Honestly, it was kind of crazy. Arav behaves unhinged, and Jhanvi is like a child (somebody has to fix every single one of her problems, on top of making sure she eats). She realises she is a pawn of both brothers just around 50% of the book, when it was obvious from the start. And then I find out there is a second book, with a plot that sounds even crazier than this one... and let me tell you, there is no way I am reading that. No way I am reading another book by this author.
Forbidden is an intense and emotional read that keeps you hooked from start to finish. The feelings, the longing, and the inner conflict are written really well, making it hard to put the book down. The characters are flawed and make questionable choices, but that’s what makes the story feel real.
It’s not a perfect romance and definitely not a comfortable one, but it does what it’s meant to do make you feel something. If you enjoy emotional, slightly messy love stories, this is a solid read.
Page Turner till you finish the story till the end.
It's interesting how a Ruthless and vengeful individual like Aarav falls in love with someone so innocent and so deeply that he forgets the hatred and forgives his enemies only to be one whom he loves with all his heart and soul.
The Indian TV serial fan inside me loved this one! Despite spending most of her life abroad, Jhanvi was the typical Indian girl, and Aarav was the angry young man with all his sanskars in the right place <3
The English grammar could have been better (a lot better) but it's okay. I still enjoyed it :)
Dark. Addictive. Unapologetically intense. Forbidden dives into a love that breaks rules and boundaries—with a hero who’s dangerous and a story that doesn’t hold back. Perfect for readers who crave angst, obsession, and high-stakes romance.
It was okay... Nothing I wasn't expecting already, to be honest. And I didn't really fall in love with Aarav or Jaanvi though I did like their moments together.
This story takes readers on an emotional roller coaster ride from the very first page. The author skilfully weaves a beautiful and heart-warming tale. It has been written in such a way that no reader can stop falling in love with it. Aarav Raichand, the forbidden grandson of Durga Raichand, seeks to avenge the injustice done to his mother. Aarav is stealing reader's heart with his powerful dialogues. His goal to get justice for his late mother, his dominance, his love, his hate, his friendship, his revenge, his forgiveness, everything every little thing is beautiful.
However, Jhanvi becomes a pawn in his game of revenge, ultimately transforming into his queen and showing him a world beyond his quest for vengeance. Jhanvi's poignant question, "Is this revenge worth your life," resonates throughout the story. To discover how Aarav changes for Jhanvi and forgives his family, one must read the book. The chemistry between the lead characters is both hot and sizzling. Aarav is not your typical alpha male; he is incredibly romantic and undergoes a remarkable transformation to win Jhanvi back into his life. The epilogue is particularly noteworthy; it is unexpectedly emotional. This story captures the essence of a Bollywood movie, with a dynamic and captivating lead pair. Coming to Aman and Jaya, I completely loved this Tom and Jerry couple and hoping to get a storyline about them as a separate book.
I felt what she wanted the male protagonist to feel. He visited the place again and again where he had lost his life or he thought he had. This is her best book till date and way better than the first part.
