Some of Bree’s favorite childhood memories are of visiting her grandparents at their cottage on Sanibel Island, Florida. This time, when she returns to the island, her heart is heavy. Her beloved grandparents are gone, and she’s responsible for sorting their belongings and putting their house up for sale.
A new neighbor…
Zane lives on Sanibel year-round and owns a successful outfitter shop. The first time he meets his pretty new neighbor, Bree, he saves her suitcase from rolling into the road. He’s attracted to her from the start, but she makes it clear she’s not interested. For Bree, ignoring her sexy neighbor is almost impossible, especially when he seems determined to befriend her.
Sultry island nights…
When Zane offers to show her around the island, she agrees, but not for personal reasons. As a newspaper columnist, Bree intends to write a series of travel articles, and she could use his help. Seeing the island through his eyes, Bree finds even more reasons to love it, but she didn’t plan on falling in love with him!
A new chapter…
Soon, Bree must make a major decision. Will she return home to Michigan or uproot her life for the man and island she loves?
Here & Now is a standalone contemporary romance with humor, heat, and heart.
I received a free copy of Here and Now: A Sanibel Island romance in a Goodreads giveaway and I am voluntarily leaving a review. I really enjoyed the book. It was a nice, cozy, summer read.
This book was really good and I liked everything about it! 😀 I have read a few other books by this author and she does not disappoint! A young, attractive woman is tasked with having to clean out and sell her grandparents home in Florida after their passing. This home holds many memories from her childhood and just entering the house without them is hard. Her life is in turmoil already and now she has to do this. When she arrives at the house, she learns that there is a new neighbor. Hmmm, he is definitely something to look at! What, if anything, will happen between them? Even though you may think you know how the book will end, the author has a few unexpected (and some funny) turns. As you end each chapter, you are pulled into the next because you just want to read what will happen next. The provocative parts of the book are very well written. Enticing!
Bree has come to Sanibel Island in Florida to clean out her grandparents house and put it up for sale. There are many memories in that house. She was close with her grandmother and is taking her time packing things up.
Zane lives next door to Bree. This makes things interesting. Bree knows she has developed feelings for Zane but her whole life is back in Michigan. Being a writer her job is the least of her worries. She knows she can write anywhere. Now she has to decide what she is going to do.
I hope at some point in the future we will catch up with Zane's best friend Marco and Tessa who is Marco's girlfriend. I have been a devoted Susan Coventry reader. Each book is better than the last and I love each and every one of them!
I loved all the characters and loved the location that in itself sounds heavenly. I was so happy that Bree held onto her grandparents home and memories.
I enjoyed this book overall and it was nice to get away to the island. This book made me want to go there and visit and enjoy that area. I enjoyed Zane and Bree's story. Bree got on my nerves some though because she was always into Zane one minute and as soon as he would leave she was back to doubting everything. I wanted to shake her at times. I don't know how Zane put up with it except for loving her I guess. When she finally decided she was in love, then the rest of the book was better. So it took me a little longer to read this but I knew it worth be worthwhile in the end. I did like the ending of the book and seeing how the title of the book came into play.
I absolutely fell in love with Bree and Zane! Theirs was the sweetest love story with just the right amount of steam. Anxious to read more books by Ms Coventry.
