At the time of writing, she has requested Kelly teach her how to do the splits, juggle, and to play the violin… all of which Kelly has no particular talent for. This is book three in the Wild Romance Saga. We met James and Tricia in the Dare Duet and now we hear their story. I love that they are older than the age bracket I’ve read recently.

The storyline is brilliant. Ended up reading this in one sitting and I can’t wait to read part two.

Author Kelly Shandwick ran in hot with this one!!!

Wow! Just wow! While I haven’t read the first two books in this Wild Romance Saga series, Author Kelly Shandwick does a great job of succinctly doing the introductions and in the first few paragraphs. By then I was V E R Y aware of the sexual heat and chemistry that had yet to be acted on between James and Tricia! I can tell you now, I’ll be going back and visiting the story between Sawyer and Billie, because it sounds engrossing, and the guilt and self-disgust that James carries in his voice as regards to his tenuous and healing relationship with his brother, means that I’ll be checking that duet out STAT!

Ms Shandwick ran in hot with this book for sure, and hit the ground running! At Sawyer and Billie’s wedding, James and Tricia acted on those passion and lust-filled stares, and the result is one almost hilarious and erm, massively passionate hot sex!! From the ripping of clothes through to mutual bodily admiration ... you get my drift.

Then wham. Shutout. And my heart, like James’ own, dropped like a stone. All of a sudden, I wasn’t so sure if I liked Tricia, bearing in mind that I wasn’t yet invested in her character because I hadn’t read the first duet and got to know her.

This is turn earned my undying love and support for James, which was further cemented as we got to know him, his damaged heart and self-reproach all carefully hidden by a mask full of confidence trotted out for public show.

is an intense, heart-in-my-mouth book written from James Wild’s POV. I can’t even begin to describe how I was a ball of tension filled skin trapped in one place reading this emotionally gripping romance. Angst alone isn’t enough for Ms Shandwick to put her readers and her characters through, it was the unrelenting sexual chemistry, and the ‘thoroughly emotional’ insight into James as he gave us his story of this tumultuous heart-wrenching and hurt-inducing relationship.

That is until James and I got to know Tricia. The ‘real’ Tricia, and understanding dawned. From this moment on, James proved that a heart once truly given, can’t be taken back, no matter how unworthy the recipient may be feeling about it ... “Because my heart is yours, Tricia, and I can’t live without one unless I’m with you.”

This is a heart-breaking story of a secret held close to a heart that is truly afraid to love, can’t move on or forgive itself until shown a love that is unconditional and ultimately supportive. Author Kelly Shandwick gave James Wild to that heart. 5 truly beautiful and amazingly uplifting stars. 💞❃°

I have been eagerly waiting for the next Chasing Love story, after reading and loving the previous book about Sawyer, James's brother's story.
The author had given us tantalising little snippets about James and Tricia's attraction already, and boy did I want to know more.

We knew James was a bit of a playboy, till he messed up his relationship with his family over a girl. Lesson learnt, he decided to step back from that life, work hard till he met a special someone. James envied his brother Sawyer and Billie's love for each other, he wanted that too.

Tricia is Billie's best friend, always ready for a bit of fun, and always keeping men at arms length. They were only around briefly, she was always ready to flee.

Now, when James and Tricia finally gave in to the attraction that had been brewing between them for a long time it was explosive. James's description of his reaction to her gave me goosebumps, it was so intense, so hot.
What he didn't expect was to be shot down and dismissed after their intimacy. He left, a broken man.

By this stage, it was obvious that Tricia was dealing with a lot of baggage, what had happened to her to make her so callus?
What she had with James was mutual extraordinary chemistry, why was that dismissed over and over again?
Over the years each time they saw each other, the world just faded away, they still felt the same, but...

This is where the story starts to get angsty, James is determined to unravel the mystery, to chase away the demons that have such a strong hold on Tricia. He wants to protect her, he is getting in really deep.

I'm still reeling from the way this book had developed, and the beautiful way Kelly Shandwick brought everything to life. Tricia's past, her insecurities, her many fears finally all made sense. Chasing Love - James is the third book in the Wild Romance Saga by Kelly Shandwick and features a couple that we’ve met previously. I have absolutely loved learning more about James and Tricia. There is so much more to their story than I could have ever imagined and I found this gripping read very difficult to put down.

We already know that James and Tricia have history but what I loved in this book was learning the finer details of their relationship. I adore James, and during the first part of the book I was hurting for him. His past relationships have left a mark on his heart and I am certain that like me, you will totally understand why he behaves in the way that he does. I believed that being loved by him was going to be the greatest gift and as the story progressed, I knew I was correct because he is loving, caring, kind, passionate, considerate and will 100% give his support when it is needed.

Tricia has issues that she has been living with for a number of years. Sadly her story is someone’s reality and my heart absolutely broke when what she had been through was revealed. I admire her immensely and I sincerely hope that from this moment onwards she can put the pain behind her and use the strength I have seen that she possesses, to change her future for the better.

This instalment of the story has been about love, trust, fear, heartache and forgiveness. The sexual chemistry between James and Tricia is off the charts and I loved witnessing their relationship as the story progressed. I was rooting for them to be together. I could see just how perfect a couple they would make. Their attraction to each other is undeniable and anyone else simply cannot compete.

This story is told using James’ POV and I am expecting the next book to be written using Tricia’s. Personally, I think this would be perfect as this book ends at a point when switching to hear Tricia’s perspective on events would be fitting and I cannot wait to discover what happens next in Tricia and James’ lives.

After briefly meeting these two in the previous Duet, I was really looking forward to reading James and Tricia’s story and it didn’t disappoint. It did, however, take a completely different direction to the one I imagined it would and it had me glued to the pages.

As Sawyer’s brother, I felt as though I got a pretty good grasp of James in Billie and Sawyer’s books, although of course we get to see more of his personality here, especially as this part of the duet is told from his point of view. I don’t think I've often read about a male character who knows his worth, so to speak, and I feel that more often than not this is something usually attributed some feisty heroine. In this case I was very pleased to see that it was James who had made a decision about what he wanted from any future romantic relationship and wasn’t going to settle for anything less. He was certainly done with being treated as an object, or disposable. Tricia, however, was a revelation and certainly not the open book I expected her to be. She’s a bit of an enigma and I’d say not an easy person to warm to. Having said that, it became clear as the book progressed that in fact she has a vulnerability about her and only shows the world what she wants it to see, the fun, strong, independent woman. There’s much more to her than meets the eye. The rest is locked up behind heavily guarded emotional walls and I couldn’t wait to see if James would be the one to knock them down.

This author is known for her realism when it comes to her writing and no more so than here with James and Tricia’s story. I’m very excited for Chasing Love: Tricia when we get to explore the next stage of this couple’s journey told from Tricia’s point of view.

Book #3 in the Wild Romance Saga is the beginning of the story featuring James Wild and Tricia Mattison. If you have read Billie and Sawyer then you've already met these two, if you haven't, then I recommend you do as CHASING LOVE: JAMES runs along a similar timeline and you'll get a little bit of background on these characters.

James is Sawyer's older brother. He was estranged from his family for a while due to the choices he had made, now he is trying to repair his relationship with his brother and his family. James works hard for the family business, but something is missing from his life, he wants what his brother has, a woman to love. Tricia is Billie's best friend. She wasn't at all what I expected her to be. She's had a lot of heartache in her life, heartache she has kept hidden from everyone. Behind her carefree facade is a woman who has been broken.

Unknown to everyone there's a history between James and Tricia. She's everything he wants in a woman, feisty and passionate, but she's also the woman who kept running from him, leaving him shattered every time. Their chemistry is undeniable, but will it be enough?

I thoroughly enjoyed the first part of James and Tricia's story and look forward to reading CHASING LOVE: TRICIA to see if they can attain their HEA.

I’m loving everything about the Wildfire Romance Saga and this is book 3 in the saga and it’s James Wild and Tricia Mattison’s journey. If you have read the previous books you will know this couple and if you haven’t read the previous, I believe it would be beneficial to read them for the background into this couple as this book is part of a family and friends saga. This is a second chance at love for Tricia and James and their journey is captivating, heartbreaking and heartwarming.
Every time James and Tricia meet they end up hooking up and have some very passionate nights but she always walks away……James has finally moved on when a meeting at a family gathering has them right back where they started. The playboy image he always had has disappeared but he needs to prove to Tricia that he has changed his ways if he has any hope of keeping her.
Tricia’s life has not been an easy one but she covers her baggage well until she breaks down and tells Janes all her deep kept secrets.
So will James help her rebuild her life and can he convince her to give them a try. One click now to find out.

Book 3 in The Chasing Love romance novels. James story. Such a great read. Both James and Tricia have demons to bury. Their pasts cause their relationship to crash and burn early. After a few hook ups, James refuses to be used for "just his body" with no commitment from Tricia, so leaves her without looking back. He never forgets her. Tricia, due to her past has issues with men and refuses to let herself get too close in case she develops real feelings. She too, never forgets James!
A chance meeting and they decide to try and hash out their differences and give their relationship a go. Trust and love are hard to give by Tricia, but James being the patient man he is, is willing to take his time to gain her love and trust. He realises he has loved her from their first hook up at Sawyer and Billies wedding, but had to let her go as she was treating him so badly.
Secrets are revealed and love and trust is gained in this moving 2nd chance romance. When you think you know where the story is heading, another twist is thrown in.
Brilliantly written and a 5 star must read. Can't wait for Tricia's story

This is the third book in the Wild Romance Saga and was a well written, emotional story that ticked the boxes for me. If you have read the previous books, then you have met our couple before. In my opinion you would benefit by reading them as you will get background as this story runs on the same timeline.
This is a second chance at love story for James Wild and Tricia Mattison and it their journey was rocky. Tricia is the one-woman James regrets walking away from and he is determined to win her back. He has a reputation as a playboy but he knows that for her he can change, now he has to prove it to her.
Tricia’s life has not been easy, she has baggage and avoids relationships. I really liked Tricia, she is feisty and determined. Can James help re build her broken heart and spirit? Can he convince Tricia to give him a chance and that they are meant to be together? One click and find out.

I'd been really looking forward to this having seen James and Tricia's interactions in the previous duet that I loved. I wasn't disappointed at all, what a wonderful book full of feeling, emotion and steamy, sexy hot chemistry.

I was a bit surprised at my initial impression of Tricia. I'll admit I didnt like her very much at the start, she blew very hot and cold in regards to James. I remembered the strong, confident, supportive best friend she was to Billie previously, so put my reactions on hold as I knew there must be something more. I was right, but never imagined how this story would go. How emotional and heartbreaking this would get as the story unfolded. She was so confident but insecure at the same time, I wanted to give her a big old hug. James was perfect for her (lucky woman :-) )

If you've read Sawyer and Billie's story, you'll know James and all the trauma he went through and how he now struggles with trust and his own guilt. If not, it's not a problem, you find out, just not with quite the same depth of detail. He just grew and grew as a man throughout this book and showed how truly beautiful, caring, and protective he was. This gorgeous man was flawed but swoonworthy, just like his brother Sawyer. I completely fell for him hook, line and sinker!

There were times I wanted to yell at these two, there was so much push and pull as they deny the strong connection they have, until fate and the sizzling chemistry they share pushes them to hash their issues out. There is angst, heartbreak and gut wrenching emotion as truths unfold and secrets are revealed, but also so much passion, understanding and tenderness. Told from James's pov, there was so much more to their story than I'd ever imagined that kept me turning the pages. I loved being inside James's head, but I now can't wait for Tricia's pov in the follow up book, especially with the events towards the end.

This runs semi parallel to the previous so we do get a slight overlap such as the wedding and the couple of other times that Tricia and James hook up, but we get the details here. Tricia turns out to be nothing like the person we have seen so far. She has issues buried so deep they have ruled her adult life and the way she stays away from relationships. James really turns into a saviour, despite the rocky and angsty past with her, he gives it another go. This story is heart breaking once you get to know what happened. My heart went out to Tricia, understanding her feelings and pain, knowing she had no support until James. I am quite sure this story isn't unusual in real life, there are most likely tons of variations out there but the author gives us true insight into the trauma and lasting affects that it could have, how it reflects their whole life and outlook. This story has heart, it's sensitive but real, it doesn't pull punches early on when things are rocky but keeps it honest. It is a book that gripped me and had me invested in the outcome for this couple, there is a great flow between this and the events from the previous duet but where we had suspicion in the others of what might be happening we finally get the details. I love Tricia, her strength and her vulnerability, her sass and her trust, once given it's whole hearted. James is so very like Sawyer in many ways he has all the same characteristics we just haven't seen as much of them until now. I know readers are going to love this couple, it might take a chapter or two but it will come and once they do Tricia and James will be taken into their hearts as much as they have been mine.

James is rebuilding his relationships with his family. His family is open to letting go of what happened. He is working as CEO of his families company. He now wants what his brother Sawyer has a loving wife.

When James and Tricia are together their chemistry is explosive. The scenes are extremely HOT but Tricia kicks James to curb. Which pissed me off. I could not grasp what her issue was til its explained later on. James friendship, compassion and love for Tricia changes her world. She redeems herself in my eyes. It was such a beautiful story, I loved it.

I Really Have Enjoyed Reading This Story!

Wow! Tricia went through so much as a teenager and it caused her so suffer so much all her life until she met James who had issues of his own. But James was able to work through some of his and reconnect with his younger brother and his family and he was able to help Tricia work through some of her’s even though she tried to push him away, but he was not having any of it. This story shows people who showed strength and courage to deal with what life hands us!

James is the Vice CEO of his family’s business and slowly rebuilding his relationship with his family. He now wants what his brother Sawyer has, love and romance. Tricia isn’t looking for a relationship and doesn’t want to settle down. James and Tricia’s journey isn’t an easy one and it’s an emotional rollercoaster of a ride. I loved the push and pull between these two characters and the chemistry between them is palpable. A fabulous read and one I definitely recommend.

To say James and Tricia have trouble getting together is an understatement. When they finally come together for real, some emotions are flayed bare. Then some more soul baring happens, and things are finally on track for healing and a healthy relationship. I never saw this twist coming and can't wait for the finale! Chasing Love - James by KL Shandwick swept me off my feet just like with the Dare Duet. I wasn't sure where KL would take James' story, I was just glad to get to know him better. I loved Tricia and knew there was more to her than the smart and free woman she portrayed herself to be. Their story was unexpected and I loved every word. Can't wait for the next book!

I was so happy to read about James after what we read in the previous two books. This is his love story. Finding someone who sets every fiber of his being on fire, just by being in the same room as him. I loved the emotional rollercoaster the author brings to the table. James and Tricia’s story was palpable at times because of their deep, soulful connection that was undeniable as it was passionate. Another amazing story from Kelly Shandwick. Not only to get to see some from the previous books, but you finally see more of James and Tricia.
James thought he was over Tricia but seeing her again he knows there is no way he is. Together they are explosive, but she keeps pushing him away resisting what they have.
Finally, Tricia explained why she pushed him away, but James wanted to know everything, he wanted to spend his life with her with no secrets. The more they talked the more that came out, but can they survive once the secrets of Tricia’s past come out.

Chasing Love: James is book three in the Wild Romance Sage from Kelly Shandwick is James and Tricia's story.

These are two characters that we met previously in books one and two and I will admit that I wasn't too keen on Trica to begin with but this book has most definitely changed that.

We learn that Trica has had to deal with a lot of heartache in her life that she has never told anyone about and it helps you understand why she is like she is.
James hasn't always had it easy either, past decisions caused him to be estranged from his brother for a lot of years but slowly they have rebuilt that relationship, thats how he meets Tricia. Soon James becomes Tricia's rock as their love for each other grows and Tricia discovers that she can lean on others she doesn't have to carry all these burdens on her own.

Kelly Shandwick never ceases to amaze me with the depth, strength and vulnerability she shows in the characters she creates and the emotions in her story telling. All these factors make for the perfection of her books.

Chasing Love: James is book three in the Wild Romance Saga. Told from James Wild’s POV.
James is the eldest of the Wild children and brother to Sawyer from the Dare Duet. We learnt somethings about James in those first two books, especially when he opened up to Billie and then started to repair his relationship with Sawyer. The author had dropped hints about James and Tricia’s attraction but now we learn what really happened between them.

I already had a soft spot for James and the more we learnt about him, the more I felt sorry for him. He had been through so much with Charlotte and thrown himself into working for his dad and rebuilding his family ties. We get to hear more of his version of the trouble with Sawyer and see him finally maturing and losing his playboy lifestyle. The amount of effort he puts into his relationship with Juliette shows how heartbroken he is from Tricia’s rejection and determined not to be used anymore.
I laughed at the similarities between the brothers because they can’t see it, but to me they are two loving, caring and passionate men. It was nice seeing James come out of his brother’s shadow.

There is an undeniable attraction which they fight constantly and neither of them can explain or understand the magnetic pull between them which means they can’t stay away from each other. The sexual chemistry oozes off the pages and the sex scenes are hot.
This is a gripping read as so much more involved than you think and I liked the way her story slowly unfolds to keep the readers interest. I must admit she took some warming to after seeming such fun in the Dare Duet. It was hard to feel sorry for her at the start as she such a hard nut to crack, so independent , cut off and aloof. Her issues run deep and it is heartbreaking what we find out about her but does explain why she like she is. I did wonder why he kept going back for more but pleased he is starting to bring her barriers down.

It was fun catching up with Billie and Sawyer. Their kids are great fun and a light relief to the heavy subjects covered. I also liked seeing again a possible connection between Hammer and the brother’s sister Lorna and wonder if thats a duet in the works?
It is a refreshing change to read about an older couple and as usual Kelly Shandwick writes such a realistic story. I suspect many girls have gone through some of what Tricia experienced.
Lovely seeing James become exactly what Tricia needs. His patience is amazing and he is so supportive, thoughtful and totally besotted with her. Now he just has to persuade Tricia that she can trust him, she is worthy of having him and is all he needs.

It can be read as a standalone duet but there will be spoilers from the Dare Duet and you will miss reading Sawyers and Billie’s story. Also if you don’t read the first two books then you won’t know the backstory of the brothers relationship or appreciate how far James has come and what a good friend Tricia is to Billie. Can’t wait for Tricia’s POV and how they move forward as they start to believe in each other in part two. I so want them to have their HEA as after what they have both been through, they deserve it.
