Veteran player Gage Heyward retired from the league following a successful career. Now the Titans need him, but does he have what it takes to get back on the ice and pull this team together?

After achieving the goals I set for myself, I walked away from my professional hockey career. It was a tough decision, but the right one at the time. When the Titans organization approached me about joining the team they were rebuilding following a devastating plane crash, I felt a passion for the game and a competitive spirit I hadn’t felt in years. The opportunity to make a huge difference to a lot of people spoke to me, and I accepted their offer and headed to Pittsburgh without a second thought.

Jenna Holland is also new to town, having moved from Phoenix to Pittsburgh to take a job with the Titans. Her past has left her with scars—both physical and emotional—and she’s slow to trust others. But the more I learn about Jenna, the more I want to know. The more I need to know. Because the beautiful blonde with honey gold eyes and a wall around her heart has me enamored.

My game on the ice is the best it’s ever been, but it’s my game off the ice I’m focused on these days. Because while Jenna may not be willing to take a chance, I know the potential is there for something big. Something life changing. Now I just need to convince her to take the shot.

Hold on to your hearts, friends - Gage Heywood is comin' for them!

No lie, Gage is a good, old-fashioned, respectful, protective, romantic hero. He's an open communicator, he has no hang-ups or issues, and he was unbelievably patient and kind (while also maintaining an alpha protective vibe) throughout this entire story. My heart went all aflutter for him and the absolutely achingly tender way he approached his relationship with Jenna. What a beautiful story.

Gage is pretty low angst and low drama. There's more action and drama among the team (which I am here for, 100%) than within Gage and Jenna's relationship. There are hurdles, of course, but because there was no pesky miscommunication or other manufactured drama - they were cleared up pretty quickly and kept the tone of the story pretty even-keel. That doesn't mean it wasn't emotional though - they tugged at my heart relentlessly and it was just such a wonderfully uncomplicated love story.

I loved it! And I love this whole series so far - I can't wait to see what happens with the team (and a few players who are decidedly complicated). ~ Shelly, 4 Stars

4.5 All The Feels Stars
* * * * 1/2 Spoiler Free
It is no secret I have been reading Sawyer Bennett for quite some time. She has done so many different genres so well, she has given me hours and hours of insight, emotions, fun, and sexy times, depending on the series.

In Gage (Pittsburgh Titans, #3), she has pulled the Trifecta of hitting every feel and emotion without making this story cheesy or boring.
Instead, she layered it with real situations that could happen, having our Gage being an incredibly stand-up guy, and the woman, Jenna, he is attracted to someone who has experienced something no one should. Yet she is his equal in strength and perseverance.

What I appreciated was how honest and direct Gage was. He was an unusual man because he was willing to confront the hard stuff, was willing to put himself out there, and possibly take a hit to his ego. He saw what he wanted, was clear about it, and acted on it...but not in a way that could be arrogant or threatening.

Our gal, Jenna, has every reason to be hesitant. She has not only been hurt physically but the damage from her tragic accident was increased by those who turned their back on her. Feeding the insecurities from her accident and abandoning her in her time of need caused serious mental scars...the ones no one would see.

Yet, Gage did and decided to accept the challenge. Jenna was so strong, so well written and this couple is better for it. A wonderful addition to this series.

One afternoon is all it took for me to gobble this book up. I’m head over heels for Gage, he's a true gentleman, a fierce protector, a great teammate, and absolutely perfect for Jenna.

Now this may sound strange since this book is called GAGE and not JENNA but...I have been anxiously awaiting Jenna's story since I first met her in her sister's book, JETT: An Arizona Vengeance Novel, we found out then that she was in a bad fire and it left her with scars over her body as well as emotionally. I needed her to get a guy that was deserving of her and I knew it was just a matter of time before that would happen because there was no way that Sawyer Bennett would give us this amazing secondary character that was so filled with love and not build on it and I for one am so HAPPY to finally have her find the perfect guy!

Gage was the third book in the Pittsburgh Titans series by Sawyer Bennett. Although enjoyable, the series did not have to be read in order.

I’m currently taking a break from formal reviews at the moment, but a couple quick thoughts: I really liked both Jenna and Gage. Jenna was the sister to Emory (Jett, Arizona Vengeance series) and had suffered a tragedy in her life where she was left scarred. She had a long recovery but her return to a normal life was even a longer process. She was starting over in a new city with a new job. She was a lot stronger than she thought. Gage was newly off the retired list having a great NHL career but agreeing to come back for at least a year to help the Pittsburgh Titans rebuild after losing most of the team in a horrific plane crash. He was a bright spot in a difficult situation. Bennett took us through their back stories with some expected challenges while also advancing the storyline that has threaded through series. All in all, Gage was a quick and enjoyable read and I can’t wait for more in the series.

Gage has just cemented his status as my favorite player on the team. He says (and means!) all the right things, he’s sweet, caring, just the right amount of protective, and simply an all around great guy. He’s exactly the man I would always envision when I would see the hero portrayed on the cover of historical romance novels…but this time in hockey pads.

As the veteran player who has come out of retirement to help rebuild the Pittsburgh Titan’s franchise after the devastating plane crash that killed most members of the team, Gage is looked at as the voice of reason. He’s the solid one who doesn’t do anything rash. He’s helpful, thoughtful, mature, and truly is the backbone and inspiration of the team. He is the glue that holds them together.

Jenna is at the other end of the career spectrum. Just beginning hers with the office staff of the Titans, she is learning to put herself out there after the devastating fire that left her with scars on both her body and soul. She is self conscious and quick to shut herself off from people’s reactions to her wounds, even before they have a chance to see them.

Which is why the meeting between Gage and Jenna was so perfect for both of them. Gage saw the scars, but didn’t care. And Jenna saw him notice them and instantly closed herself down. Had Gage not been the man he was, that would have been the end. But knowing his unintentional reaction caused distress for someone else, he addressed the situation directly and didn’t beat around the bush. He acknowledged that he saw the scars, and then moved past it. His directness was disarming and allowed Jenna to begin to see herself as others did. And opened her up for a friendship with a good person. Watching this friendship quickly blossom into a relationship built on trust, openness and honesty was sweet, charming, and as close to an old-fashioned courtship as you can get in this modern world.

I truly loved this couple and the rest of the team we’re getting to know as we follow along with their journey. I’ve been enjoying this series so much because while each story focuses on one couple, it really hasn’t been solely about them. It’s been just as much about rebuilding a family that’s been broken and healing wounds as it has been about finding love. Gage sets the bar pretty high for all men, and for Sawyer Bennett’s series as well.

Couple goals right here! Gage and Jenna are inspiring and uplifting to see what a relationship should be like. It is an insta love story that will make you swoon for Gage and be excited for Jenna to get her HEA.

These books are complete standalone stories, but if you have read the previous two, the time line overlaps a little giving a different perspective on somethings but mainly concentrates on Jenna and Gage. Gage is out of retirement, to help rebuild the new Titans team and be as supportive to the younger players as he can be. Jenna, whom we met in a previous series, has moved from Az to Pittsburgh to start a new career with the team in the media sector. They cross paths before she even makes it to her first day, and he leaves a lasting impression on her.

It’s a very quick read, full of happy moments with no angst at all. Gage is a near perfect hero who sees the good in most people and helps Jenna become the woman she once was before the fire that left her scarred in a few ways. He’s encouraging and protective, maybe a little too much for me at one time, but he only has her well-being in his sights. I loved the way Jenna blossomed throughout the whole book and learned to trust again. It’s a very sweet romance with a beautiful happy ending. Lastly, as with every SB book, there is some snippets as to what is up next, and I feel Coen’s book will be somewhat different and he has a lot of healing to overcome.

Love this hockey family!

I love this author’s hockey romance series and the Pittsburgh Titans quickly became a new favourite. Beginning with an unfathomable tragedy, how do you build a new hockey club? A new family? Grieving but trying to move forward, this cobbled together team was a powerhouse even as they continued to deal with the emotional fall out. Gage was focused on getting to the playoffs, not falling in love. Funny how life works…

Jenna was in the midst of her own recovery. She’d made great strides and moving to Pittsburgh was a huge leap of faith and strength. Trust had been broken in a cruel way and rebuilding it was a hurdle she had a hard time overcoming. Until Gage... Meeting through mutual friends, working for the same organization, an instant connection, it should have been easy. Not a chance…

The emotional back and forth between them was my favourite part of their courtship. Neither was perfect or knew always what to do or say yet they weren’t afraid to be vulnerable and acknowledge their fears or uncertainty. As Jenna said, Gage was ‘solid’, responsible and oh so sexy doing it…

The series is quickly heading to the end and, while I will be super sad to finish the last read I can’t ignore the butterflies as I look forward to hearing Coen’s story in full… Go Titans! ~Diane, 4.5 stars

Very low angst in this 3rd installment of the Pittsburgh Titans series. This is Gage and Jenna’s story. Jenna was first introduced in the Arizona Vengeance series—she’s Emory’s sister (Jett). Jenna has picked up stakes and moved to Pittsburgh for a job with the Titans. There she meets recently out of retirement Gage Heyward, forward for the Titans. Gage is a bit older—mid 30s—and decided to come out or retirement to help the Titans rebuild their team (lost weeks ago in a plane crash).

Jenna was in a horrific house fire a few years ago that left her with some facial scars and scarring on her torso. She’s battled her way back after a long road to recovery. It’s been a tough road of self doubt and trust issues (dumped by her boyfriend who couldn’t deal with her scars) for Jenna. When she’s approached by Gage (who is very attracted to her and sees beyond the scars) she has doubts. What does a handsome , charming man like Gage see in her?

Gage is a dream man. I looked hard and couldn’t find any flaws in him. Surely he’d have an asshole moment in the story that would break Jenna’s heart? But nope. This guy was true blue. Although he was super protective and supportive of Jenna, he didn’t pull any punches. He was honest with her, and told her where things stood. I appreciated that he constantly told Jenna that she was beautiful, inside and out, and boosted her confidence. He wanted her to be all that she could be, and not to hide behind her tragedy or what people would think of her scars. Be proud of who you are and what you’ve overcome, Jenna!

So just a little angst in this one between Jenna and Gage. They have a couple of hot scenes, and yes, Jenna slowly trusts Gage to let him see all of her. Jenna is like a butterfly coming out of her cocoon. And I was happy to see her get stronger each day with Gage’s love.

What interests me now is what’s going to happen to Gage’s teammate Coen, who’s been on a downward spiral since the plane crash. Can he ever get over his survivor’s guilt? And is there something besides that which is causing him to act out? Is this guy going to throw away his hockey career? Well, can’t wait for his book which is next up.

I was slightly disappointed at the length of this book. Seems like it could’ve easily gone another 50 pages. But I guess since there was no big screwup or misunderstanding to rectify, the story was over.🤷🏻‍♀️Oh well, it was an enjoyable read, but did leave me wondering why a guy like Gage wasn’t already snatched up! But as he said, he hadn’t met ‘the one’ yet…

I don't think it's humanly possible for Sawyer Bennett to write anything but great books. Her particular blend of stirring and sexy relationships is a potent cocktail of intoxicating yearning I can't get enough of.

Gage is book 3 of the Pittsburgh Titans series by author Sawyer Bennett. It's a contemporary full length, dual POV with a HEA.
Tropes:
- sports romance
- tortured heroine

Gage Heyward was set for life. He’d achieved all his professional goals and had retired from hockey. But when he was contacted to come back to the NHL and help rebuild the Titans after their tragic loss, he couldn’t resist helping out and moved to Pittsburgh.

Also a new transplant to the Pittsburgh area is Jenna Holland, who decided to push her limits by accepting a media job with the Titans. Because of a horrific fire accident left her with physical and emotional scars, she had accepted that love wasn’t in her future. That is until she met the wonderfully patient, charming and all around good man that saw beyond her scars.

Gage is my new favorite book boyfriend. I loved him so much I’m thinking of adding a shelf to my GoodReads in his honor. He’s honest, straight forward, accepting, sweet, thoughtful, caring, swoony, sexy. The list goes on, but basically he was the perfect man to help Jenna thrive.

Justifiably Jenna had a slew of issues she had a wonderful support network, including Gage, that helped her blossom which was great to read.

Gage and Jenna’s story was a beautiful story about acceptance, trust, hope and love. I can’t wait to read the next stories in the series.

And we have another great addition to the series! I loved and adored Baden and Stone’s books and I could say that each one is better than the last, but it’s more that they have all just been that damn good. The writing, the characters, the emotions they’ve brought out have been consistently good and I am loving every moment I get to spend with the characters in this series.

I adored Gage and Jenna. I already liked them from previous books (Jenna from the Vengeance series ref: Jett) but finally getting to know them and what makes them tick, well, it’s hard not to fall for both. Jenna has been through a lot, but to watch as she works through her demons and starts to become more was awesome. And Gage, well, the man is kind of all that. Reliable, steadfast and just a really good man who knows who he is and what he wants out of life.

Their journey to their HEA was all kinds of slow burn fun. They both have a lot going on, but I really liked watching them become friends and then more. I loved how they communicated and how honest they were with each other, even when it was difficult. The chemistry between them was hawt and their bantering was a lot of fun and in the end, I loved watching them fall in love.

Since I’ve gushed enough about the book at the start, I won’t repeat it, so on to the supporting cast of characters. Something I’ve always loved about this author’s books is how well she incorporates the supporting cast of characters, whether coupled up already or not, into each story. It may at times only be a glimpse, but they truly help to bring the world alive and in this book it was no different. Getting to hang out with Baden, Sophie and Stone was a lot of fun, as was getting to know Brienne more. But there was one “thing” that happened in this baby that made me all kinds of happy ~ well, two kinda ~ but one BIG thing and if I could give 6 stars I would for that one thing alone, but I’m already giving the most starts I can, so here we are. And where we are is waiting on Coen’s book which I cannot wait to get my hands on!

Gage Heyward is a veteran player who had retired from a very successful career to a slower pace of life remodelling a boat and arising when the mood took him. A call from the Pittsburgh Titans who needed a full team, following the catastrophic demise of their previous team, saw him accepting the mantle and renewing a passion he hadn’t thought he had. Career invoked!

Jenna Holland had suffered a life changing past that had stunted her projectory. Her sister, Emory, had been along side her & suggested she move to Pittsburgh to accept a media job with the Titans. Not without its challenges, Jenna persevered and found herself under the positive scrutiny of Gage.

We watch these two navigate the challenges of getting to know each other whilst observing the obvious obstacles. Being upfront helped them on their way, and it was a pleasure to watch their interactions.

As always, a wonderful future is woven for our main characters, amongst the backdrop of the enormity of the Titans team and their flavoursome characters.

The Pittsburgh Titans are already a team to be reckoned with, and I’m looking forward to the other stories we will learn about in the future.

Dominick Carlson might have been my favorite of Sawyer Bennett’s male characters until I read Gage. He is by far the best of the best.
From the minute he met Jenna I knew he was something special. He realized an error he made when he first met her and instead of ignoring it and moving on he apologized for it. It was not done intentionally but he owned up to it. He is what every woman dreams to be the perfect guy. I am not talking looks because looks do not make a person it’s what is underneath that counts. And no one knows that more than Jenna. Being burned in a fire and scarred she has a hard time trusting people. Gage treated her like a precious gem. He understood her feelings and how she tried to hide her scars. She was afraid to let anyone see them. But Gage showed her how beautiful and special she was despite them. How strong she was to overcome what she went through. He showed her what true love is.
This series is not only a sports romance series. It is a series of healing. Healing and love. Finding your person, someone like no other. Someone to get you through and show you what love is all about.

Hockey book BUT this has a twist and deals more with handling insecurity and body image after the FMC is left with scars after a fire in which she was badly burned while saving the life of her boyfriend’s daughter whom dumped her while she was still in recovery. To be honest I would’ve loved to see that side and have her get some justice, but this was more about love and acceptance so overall cute story.

Review by Trinette Dungee

Who says nice guys finish last? Gage Heyward most definitely does not!!

Devastated by the plan crash that killed the majority of the Pittsburgh Titans like the rest of the hockey world, Gage agrees to come out of retirement to help rebuild the team. As the weeks go on, the team is coming together, Gage is becoming more and more familiar with his new surroundings, and he’s proving to be one of the leaders of the team management thought he would be. The one place he is struggling -Jenna Holland. Surviving a vicious fire has left her visibly scarred, and she’s determined to keep herself hidden from Gage and everyone else. But, Gage is just as, if not more determined than Jenna is to truly get to know her, be her friend, or possibly more.

Jenna Holland has landed a job with the Pittsburgh Titans and she is taking the biggest leap of her life. She’s making the bold move from Phoenix, Arizona to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She’s moving away from the security of her family and everything she knows. Baring the scars from a fire, she’s lived her life in the comfort and seclusion of her home. This new job will have her exposing herself by being face to face with people again; but even though she finds herself out in public more, she still manages to hide. That is, until Gage Heyward enters her life and doesn’t allow her to hide any more, not behind closed doors, not behind a computer screen, not behind her hair, and most definitely not from herself.

Gage was a quick read with characters that were completely likable. Right now, this series is giving up some pretty likable and nice men, but Gage really takes the cake. This guy seemed to just get people and how to handle them, even when he wasn’t sure. What I liked about him with Jenna, is that he was straight forward. Okay, maybe in the beginning he stumbled a little, but once he gained his footing, he pursued Jenna in such a way that she really had no choice but give in!! He let her know up front he was not put off by her scars, he saw beyond them and anything he wanted to know about them he asked. He pushed her out of her comfort zone without being aggressive about it.

I was a little shocked (in a good way), in Jenna’s character. I expected her to be written with a huge amount of resistance and insecurities, but she wasn’t. Although she did resist Gage in the beginning, and she struggled with her insecurities, Jenna was fun and witty, and sexy! I loved her sense of humor too. I love banter and the banter between these two was enjoyable.

Jenna’s not the only person with issues that Gage attempts to help. Along with Baden, and Stone he lets troubled teammate Coen know he’s there to help him in any way he can. Seriously, this guy is so nice and so lovable it’s crazy! But even the nicest guy has buttons that can be pushed, and Coach Keller managed to push Gage’s buttons. Each book has shown us that the Titans coach is a real butthead, and he manages to put the final nail in his own coffin with remarks about Jenna. I’m pretty sure Gage reaction had me screaming out loud “YES!”.

I am loving these Titan Men and I can’t wait for the rest of them!! I don’t typically read the blurbs of books in a series; I like reading a book and seeing trying to figure out who the next book will be about and what their storyline might be about. I’m pretty much slapping my own hands to keep from reading Coen’s blurb. If Gage is the good guy/angel on your left shoulder, then Coen is the bad boy devil on your right. Reading about Coen in the previous books and especially Gage’s book had two things going through my mind. 1. It’s not just the guilt of not being on that plane and losing his team, it’s who in particular did he lose in that crash? That becomes very evident a conversation he has with Gage and Stone about the crash.

“It would do no good. My chances of redemption went down with that plane, and without it, I can’t be on this team.” Could he be more cryptic, and could I be any more confused? “What was on that plane?” Stone asks, but I’m thinking that should be a who was on that plane.

2. This man’s story is going to gut me.

While she’s not a player, the team owner Brienne also has me intrigued. Based on her first encounter with Drake, I’m wondering if she will be the one in his story? I guess only time will tell.

If I could add one thing to this story it would be some sort of redemption for Jenna with her ex. Other than that, this was a quick read with a feel good vibe from beginning to end.

5 star Review Gage (Pittsburgh Titans #3) by Sawyer Bennett

Having read the first cou0ple of books in the Pittsburgh Titan series I was excited to dive in to Gage. It was everything I was expecting and so much more. This series keeps getting better and better, going from strength to strength.
Gage Heyward has made a return to the game he loved, but he is uncertain whether he has what it takes . However the Titans need him as they try to build a team after the devastating plane crash that took most of their players lives.
Now he has returned to play for the new Pittsburgh Titan team and it is a time of mixed emotions. Jenna Holland is also working for the Titans, she has issues trusting people so when Gage is drawn to her she is wary. Jenna has scars alter surviving a fire that should have claimed her life. Gage believes that she could be the one but will have a hard time convincing Jenna to take a chance on him.
This was such an emotional roller coaster of a read. It tore at my heart , made me cry and made me smile. The road they travel will be rocky and have it’s challenges but it will be worth it in the end. I have a new boyfriend in Gage and I admire Jenna
This book is Sawyer Bennett at her best. Her characters are strong, yet flawed, engaging and easy to relate to. Her writing flows well and she quickly has you invested in the story. Another great emotional read and a little gem I have no hesitation in recommending.

Gage is another remarkable and entertaining installment in this author’s Pittsburgh Titans hockey romance series! If you are looking for the perfect book boyfriend, Gage is it! A loyal and seasoned hockey player, he is not only respectful, supportive, and protective of those he loves, but he is also swoon worthy romantic! Jenna, the new media liaison for the Titan’s is an admirable heroine and an incident from her past has left her with some physical and emotional scars. Yet for all of her fears, she challenges herself both professionally and personally. As she struggles with her insecurities and learning to trust again, will Jenna find her way to face her fears head on?

As with this author’s previous books, the character development is impeccable. Both characters are relatable and I love the dynamic between them. Gage is practically perfect and I enjoyed how Jenna grew as a character. In addition to the romance, the author really highlights the camaraderie amongst the team players and spends a fair amount of time paving the way for the next novel featuring Coen. I, for one, cannot wait for his story! Relatively low on angst and drama, Gage is a beautiful, heart-melting romance that flows seamlessly from one chapter to the next.

I've really liked Jenna when we met her in past books, considering what she had been through, she was doing good. Yet I liked that she was pushed to do more, she needed it and deserved to have a full life again.

I loved that Gage was smitten with Jenna from the start and let her know that. I also liked that he addressed her scars right away, letting Jenna know he didn't consider them bad, just a part of her. I loved that he kept telling her that when she needed it. By moving slowly Gage proved to Jenna over and over that he really wanted her and picked her. Now with that being said, I also liked that towards the end Gage pushed Jenna a bit for more, to come fully into the light. With his support it allowed her to make that boss move at the end.

On a side note, I like how things are developing with the team. The rot is gone, finally! Now just to get Coen under control.

This whole book is just about Jenna and her insecurities. Gage is like made to banish those insecurities. While anyone would like to have someone like gage to chase their own self consciousness it was just this. I was expecting more but that's it. In every page you'll see how insecure Jenna was of her scars and gage reassuring her. And finally she went to a party with gage voila 'the Cinderella moment" which I don't think would have happened if gage did not pressurize her. So I don't know if anything changed at all.

ARC received from author for an honest review

I am loving being taken on the journey with the Pittsburgh Titans as they rebuild.

I liked Gage before, but now I freaking love him.

He is definitely made out of boyfriend material

If you have read the Vengeance series, you have met our lovely leading lady Jenna - she is Emory's sister (she got together with Jett).

Gage is such a perfect, wonderful, beautiful soul. Like, pretty perfect really.

I don't want to say too much, as I want you go to in and just love it.

Because I did.

~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~

This is the third book in the series, and I would suggest you should start at the beginning to understand the dynamics of this team. Even better if you read earlier linked series, so you get to know the wider context too - let's be honest, you can never get too much hockey goodness!

This book runs alongside earlier ones, so it is easy to pick up from where you last visited, and also it is a lot of fun to see a different perspective. In any storyline it will be clear that Gage is just such a good guy - and definitely deserving of a very special person to share his life with. There is little doubt in his mind that Jenna is that person - but persuading her to take a risk is a little more complicated.

I really enjoyed how Jenna came to deal with her new job, and the friendship that she developed with the very busy, but always caring boss, Brienne.

Such a lovely uncomplicated, sexy, enjoyable and life affirming read - it really had all the feels without any extreme drama. The biggest issues happened on the rink, and involved some plot lines which we luckily knew would be resolved in the best of ways. Gage was always clearly such a good guy, I am delighted that his story rang true from beginning to end.

I am already looking forward to the next installment!

I have been waiting for Jenna to have a story and this one was well worth the wait and Gage was absolutely perfect for her.

Jenna has experienced trauma that no one should. Not only did she experience physical trauma, but also emotional and mental. However, from when her character was first introduced in Jett, she has grown so much and continues to grow. I love seeing her find the confidence in herself again and learning to open up more. Gage is just swoony. I loved everything about him. The love he has for the sport of hockey, for his new team, the players on the team, and the support and love he has for Jenna. He was never pushy when it came to her and really let her set the pace and open up to him on her own terms.

Learning more about Jenna’s story and everything that she went through was absolutely heartbreaking. Though, the strength she has is tremendous and something you can’t help but admire. I love that she had Gage on her side and he helped her see the strength she has and that she shouldn’t hide.

This is easily my favorite book of this series, but I can’t wait to get to know more about the Titans.

If you’re looking for an emotional, workplace, sports romance this is one to check out.

I have struggled to write this review because this book is simply amazing!! Putting how good this book is into words is so hard. We all know I have an obsession with Sawyer Bennett’s characters, mostly one by the name of Aaron Wylde. But as I sit and think about her characters and who my favorites are it comes down to the nice guy. Sawyer Bennett writes some the best and swooniest of the nice guys. These are guys that leave your bucket full and dreaming of all the good guys out in the world.

Just to be clear to all the Buzzing about Romance Community Members I licked Gage he is mine.. it is here in my review no steals.
When I tell you to read this I mean read it!! This book is so very good! It is everything you want in hockey romance. Swoony hero, a fierce heroine, and a team that always has your back even to move a couch for a friend. The Titans Series is the BEST Hockey Series of 2022. Each book just gets better and better. You will want them all!

I don’t think I’ve met a more perfect book boyfriend. He’s mature, he’s sexy, he’s sensitive to emotions, he sees past the beauty, he’s a team player (literally and figuratively ), and he’s a hockey god! All things that make him the perfect partner for The Titans newest employee, Jenna Holland. Jenna has so so many insecurities, brought on by her ex boyfriend, all starting with her scars following a house fire where she was lucky get out with her life. Her ex really did a number on her, hence she doesn’t trust easily. Lucky for her, Gage is one of the good ones, and he’s got his eye on her. All of her, scars and all. He’s also the best man for pulling the Titans together. We just need the powers that be to realise that. What a truly entertaining feel good romance. Yes there’s some emotional chapters, but the overall effect is a true romance. I loved it. I received an advanced copy of this book. This is my honest review.

This series packs so many feelings. I was super excited to see Jenna getting her HEA after everything that has happened to her. And OMG what a HEA she gets.

I think Gage is my favorite man written by Sawyer Bennett so far and that says something. His determination to help his former team and her speak volumes, what a man he is. He was a true leader on the ice and a true gentleman when it comes to opposite sex. The way he embraced Jenna from the start and wanted to see her how he saw her despite his outlooks, made me fall for him from the get to.

Now let's talk about Jenna; if you've been following this series as well as Arizona Vengeance then you know she was caught in a fire that has left her with permanent marks all over her body. She is used to being in the shadows not out in the open. And when her relationship with Gage starts, she is overwhelmed with his words of encouragement and love. She's not sure how he can see beyond all the marred skin. But with time she comes to see that he loves her for her and by the end of the book she realizes that she wants everyone to know that he belongs to her as much as she does to him.

There is so much to get into with this book and I could go on and on about it, but I’ll end up with this –
YOU NEED THIS BOOK IN YOUR LIFE!

I really loved seeing Gage and Jenna's relationship unfold. They both have pasts to overcome to be fully with each other. Gage never gives up. This one was on the emotional side (the whole series is). I enjoyed it.

Loved the narrations by Lance Greenfield and Virginia Rose.

I received this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Jenna and Gage already had my heart before their book, but this one is so special. Gage is right up there with my all-time fave, Ryker. Just romantic, empowering, and beautiful!

I DEVOURED this book in an afternoon. WHAT?! I am still experiencing all the feels. Clear my throat, tape the mike… HOLY HECK this might be my favorite Sawyer Bennett hockey book.

Swoon. I love Gage. You can tell he is a good guy from the start. Truthfully my only question was, why is this dude still single?! He is kind, interesting, and smart plus he talks about how he loves his momma. So yep, check, check, check, he is a number one dude.

Jenna is impressive just by showing up. What she has experienced breaks my heart especially since she has the scars to prove it. Plan to HATE her Ex with a passion. GRRR. Truthfully the only thing that could have made this book sweeter is if she could have seen Chelsea again. Boo hoo. I want to cry thinking about it. I won’t explain. Read the story and you will understand. It is probably more realistic that it didn’t happen but dang it, this is romance. Reality should have nothing to do with it. Hahahaha.

This is a beautiful sports romance five star book. Happy Reading Everyone! XOXO

3 stars. Like I said, the series has only gone downhill since book 1. This one was frankly boring AF. I finished it, but I kinda wish I hadn’t. The hero was just too good to be true, too nice, too mature, too perfect all around. The heroine was burned badly and left severely scarred after a house fire. She was VERY insecure, which is very understandable given her history and situation. However, everyone telling her how strong, brave, and what an inspiration she is, had me thinking that the author was laying it on too thick. I wish that the heroine had been able to find strength within herself instead of waiting for outside support every step of the way.

Safe
Celibate heroine with only 1 past partner
Hero not made out to be a ladies man but not a monk either
No drama or scenes with OM/OW
No cheating
