*This review is for Enslaving Ezmira, the contribution by Leann Ryans and V.T. Bonds*

Saved the best for last...

I have loved all of the guys stories in this series of Syfy Fairytale retellings. Each of these 4 band of brothers were wounded and struggled with the scars, seen and unseen, left on them from their time in the war. None more so than Quasim. Days of torture where he lost his wings and lived through untold horrors, living in excruciating pain, he knows there's no real place left for him in his old life and so he stays away.

Coming back to the palace for his cousin Armyn's coronation, he sees a wonder, a beautiful dancer, who eases his pain while he's entranced by her exquisite and lithe movements. So he does the only thing that makes sense to him at the time, he steals her away so she can dance away his pain.

Ezmira doesn't know what to think, when she wakes up in the tower of the scarred and broody Alpha. She can see his pain, she can see the internal struggle raging within him, and yet she can also see his goodness and compassion. She once again feels the passion and purpose that she had been losing for her dancing. She wants to soothe his hurts as he soothed her soul, but is it even possible for them to have a future? Or will misplaced intentions rip them apart for good?

I enjoyed Quasim and Ezmira's story the best. It was an emotional rollercoaster. I shed tears in a couple places. What a perfect and beautiful way to end the series. I'm so glad each of these poor broken Alphas found their forever home and peace with their loving Omegas. And these sweet Omegas found the love, support, and family they yearned for in their protective mates. Great job!!

Even though this is an ARC review, I will always shoot you straight. I received an advanced copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I received an ARC copy of Enslaving Ezmira from this boxset.

Enslaving Ezmira: V.T. Bonds and Leann Ryans

It was an amazing read. I absolutely loved Quasim in this book. He was so tortured and had so much undeserving self-loathing for himself. It broke my heart. I cried like a baby reading parts of this story. I loved Ezmira in the story also. There are not many people in this world the looks deeper into people than what they appear to be on the surface when they first meet. And in the conditions that she meets Quasim it really speaks of her character that she did so. I absolutely loved her and their story.

Her Alien Prince: by Brenda Trim

I loved this book. What is not to love about a good dragon shifter book? But this one had kidnappings.. the hero is kidnapped in this book... imagine that lol. It had bad dragons, witches, mages and all kinds of trickery going on behind the scenes. And let us not forget... Aliens from other worlds. I loved this story. And its a new to me author so I have another author to be adding to my TBR list... because I want to read more of her words, and learn about more worlds that she has created... and hopefully there are more dragon shifter stories in there somewhere!

Stolen and Sold: by D.E. Chapman

I loved this book! It was a unique book to read. I loved reading how something on this planet is what caused the A/B/O dynamic to change all the humans that came to this planet Strafor. It makes me curious what the planet Remona may do to the humans traveling there. I hope this author will write some books about the humans that travel to that planet also.. Its grabbed my interest about what that planet could do also. I loved reading about Wen, Olo, and Lyra. I loved how Wen and Olo are the ones that showed any care for Lyra. A perfect stranger yet they cared for her more then any other in this story when she needed it the most. When she was weak and injured even though it brought danger to their door they stepped in to care for her and make sure she was protected when she needed it.. and went after her when she was in danger and gave her the justice she so justly needed and deserved after the way she was treated by the ruling council on this planet.

Star Crossed: by Krysta Fox

Loved this story. I was intrigued by it from the opening page. I wanted to know what was attacking them and what they were running from. It took a long time to get that answer and I loved that. You could tell that it was evil following them. But it was not something that was obvious right off the bat in the story. I liked the suspense and mystery of it. I like to be kept waiting. I don't like it to be predictable what all the answers in the story are going to be. This story lived up to everything I hope for in a story. I loved Lyra and Adair in this story. You could almost feel their connection. I loved it.

Jana's Journal: by Kira G and Kailin Gow

This story needs the help of an editor. There are a lot of typos and confusion with tenses and really the story didn't make a lot of sense. It jumped around in time a lot and the part where they were supposed to fall in love was just completely glossed over. Nothing to tell us how that happened and what lead up to it at all... They basically went from joking around to getting married in the next chapter. I hate being so blunt.. and I don't mean to be hurtful... but really this sounds like something a very immature 12yr old would write. It was like they would get an idea and say yeah that sounds good lets use it and tossed it in the story even though it made no sense with the rest of the story... It just jumped around a lot and made no sense and they kept changing how the monsters in the story behaved or even exactly what they were to begin with. I won't be reading anything else from these authors again.

Claiming their Dollface: by Gracen Miller

I really liked this story. It was very intriguing. Once I started it I couldn't stop reading it. I even stayed up late reading it even though I had a 10hr work day the next day. Its a RH book which I do love. #AllTheGuys as I love to say. Although Rom was being a little difficult about it. I also understood where he was coming from. I'm just thrilled that Doll ended up with all her men. I loved that I didn't see the end coming. It totally took me by surprise. Absolutely loved this story and I will be reading more by this author soon!

Commander: by Candace Sams

Soooo... Im confused by this book... It's a romance book with no romance or steam or anything really except a war.. winning a war... and a trial for the main characters in the book for breaking the rules... The 4 main characters all become fast friends and 2 of them get together at the very end... share one kiss and talk about being engaged... *scratches head* I wouldn't have classified this as a romance at all.

The Dixie Stop: by Terri A. Wilson

This book I really enjoyed. It was a fast paced book that left me hanging on the edge of my seat wondering what could possibly happen next. Dixie is my kind of girl.. A take no shit kind of girl. It her way or the highway. She has the biggest heart I have ever seen. Always willing to help other people out with no thought to what it could end up costing her to do so. I loved her! I will be reading more books by this author in the future. I can't wait to dive into them and see what else she has come up with.

Sarah: by Chandra Trulove Fry

I'm not sure how I feel about this story. I realize it's just a story... but it pushes the boundaries of believability so far out of whack that it's not even funny. And I'm not talking about the fact that this is a Sci-fi romance. The idea of space travel to planets and other solar systems is the most believable part of this story. It is an okay story, just pushes the the believability of insta-love and insta-lust further then I think is possible... I have never believed in insta-love and while you might be in lust with somebody when you first meet them.. I do believe that other factors would and could take precedence over this. The way this story starts would be one of those ways. This is one of those stories that for me is just in no way at all believable. While I know this story is fiction.. the fact that it is so unbelievable makes it less enjoyable for me.

The Echo Discovery: by Sheri Lynn

This book I think has to be the most believable... and horrifying book I have ever read... I can imagine humans doing something like this.. It sickens me that we are capable of doing something like that. I truly believe that it could and would be done though. We fear anything that we don't consider normal. Alien life would not be considered normal, and probably not even something created by God. I thoroughly enjoyed this story.. while dreading what other atrocities Echo and the Llars might have endured.

Captured by the Alien Enforcer: by Christa Ann

This is not a book I enjoyed. This is in need of a lot of editing. Lots of mistaken words used.. like to instead of the or in the reverse order and others also. The wrong tense used in a sentence.. Not to mention the story didn't make a lot of sense in the fact that Carly knew the name of the King of the planet she was transported to before it was ever mentioned to her. Talis was worried about Carly rejecting the mating between them and returning home to Earth.. even though it had already been mentioned numerous times that the portal was a one way ticket and there was no way for her to return to Earth. These were just a few of the problems I had with this story. I powered thru but this was almost a DNF for me. Thats saying a lot from me... cause usually things like this don't bother me because I know authors are humans and everybody makes mistakes... but it was obvious this did not go thru a editing process because there was just to many not to have been caught. I have a feeling this is a story I could have really enjoyed if it had been edited. But I just kept being pulled out of the story trying to figure out what should have been said instead of what was said.

Veras Nozaroc Alien Warrior: by Lynn Garcia Carmer

I'm not sure how I felt about this story. I didn't really care for Veras... He was to dismissing of everything Truena had to say. For an alien whose very species communicated telepathically he didn't know Truena very well or even what she felt or thought. Even though he continually told her she shouted out her thoughts all the time. It was like he picked and chose what he would hear. He always thought he knew best. He never even tried to work with her to come up with a plan to try to make things work till the very end. This story was just not my cup of tea.

Molding the Stars: by Carly Spade

I'm guessing this story is set within in series of books... and this is not the first book in the series. If you haven't read any of the previous books you aren't lost by reading this book.. All the character story lines are clear and you don't feel like you are missing anything... but just from reading this book I wouldn't call it a romance in this book... there is a relationship between 2 of the main characters but it is an established relationship.. Its not something that is developing in this story. it's something that already exists. The smexy times in this book are fade to black after some kissing. It's just basically a mission oriented book as this seems to be some kind of space special ops military kind of book. There is no relationship building between the couple taking place in this story. I liked it well enough that I might go find the previous books in this series and read them at a later time.

Liz's Alien Abduction: by Aria Starling

I kind of wish this book had been longer. I did like it... but I'm a little confused. There seems to be a kind of Alien mating bond taking place here between the characters... but it is never mentioned. So I don't know for sure. Maybe this is part of a series? Maybe it was mentioned in previous books? Or in a similar series? I don't know. All I know is that this takes place in about a weeks time, and Liz the FMC goes from wanting to earn her freedom or at the very least be able to stay on Earth to being crazy for Quazar and admitting to herself that she is in love with him. Quazar himself never mentions anything about a bond or even that he has feeling of any kind for Liz. Although he does tell her that in the short time he has known her that he has changed... I don't know.. the story just doesn't feel complete.

The Queens Return: by R.A. Boyd

So I was kind of confused with this book. At the end of it, it listed the authors other books and it shows this will be a 3 book series and this is book 1.5... but book 1 won't come out till next year... that is kind of confusing... Also confusing is that for this book to be a prequel? I guess you would call it... Again the relationship is something that already exists. There is no developing relationship. We don't see how they met or what caused them to fall in love... These are all things I need in my books.. and this boxset I have noticed is seriously lacking in those details. That being said I did really like and enjoy this story. It kept me turning the pages wanting to know what was gonna happen next. I liked it enough that I will get the rest of this series when it releases next year because I am hoping that some of the things that were missing in this book will be in those books. That and the villain in this story is one that just needs to die so that I can dance all over his evil grave!

Operation Pinpoint: by Landra Graf

I enjoyed this story. This was a complete romance. It had the how they met. How they fell in love. The angst. It had the complete story with the HEA at the end. There were a few editing problems with the story but nothing to big that I couldn't get past. I have to say this story wasn't what I was expecting when I first started reading it. I loved that. I hate reading a story that is predictable. I don't know if this story is part of a series or a stand alone. But I kind of hope that it is part of a series. I would like to read more about them. Ravenna and Dravos were amazing. I'm really hoping to learn more about Bethel and Tract. I'm also hoping to learn how and if they get rid of the chip that was imbedded inside of Dravos. Here is to hoping for more stories inside this world.

Spacenapped for Fyeir Imogen: by Leora Gonzales

I absolutely loved this story. I'm not one that likes instalove... but this story was just the cutest thing I have read in ages. I'm not one for sweet stories either. I like my stories dark and depraved. But there was just something about this one that grabbed me right from the start and didn't let go. I will definitely be reading more books by this author. I hope that future books in this series will include the character that we met in this book. Imogen and Djaromir were just right for each other and I want to know how their future plays out. I want to hear about all their babies running around the caves in the books to come.

CHOOSE this Collection and you will be taken away! I particularly loved Enslaving Ezmira!!! This series is one of my favorites and I want more!! I hurt for Quasim. I wanted him to find healing physically, mentally, and emotionally. I am so grateful for the maturity and grace that Ezmira has. You will find yourself rooting for this couple to come out so much better on the other side of their struggles. So many great authors and a fantastic opportunity to find some new favorites.

This review is for: Spacenapped for Fyier; Imogen. Gonna jump right out the gate with this one….HOLY WOW! This was my first alien romance so I wasn’t sure how I’d like it, but it did NOT disappoint! A wild ride with a dash of smut and I LOVED IT!!! The passion, the story, and the characters pulled me in right away. So much so that I read it in one sitting and I’m hooked! I absolutely can not wait to read the rest in this series. Pure enjoyment.

This review is for Her Alien Prince by Brenda Trim

Tilram is betrayed and suddenly finds himself on a strange world where everything is different. Callie is a witch who uses her powers to add positive things to her baked goods to improve the mood of the consumer. She and her mother, who is also a witch, work hard baking and selling their creations. They keep a low profile and do their best to hide the magical community from prying eyes. When they are awoken by a strange magical disturbance, they notice a strange light in a nearby park and had out to investigate. Imagine their surprise when the guy standing in the park suddenly changes into a dragon.

Callie had no idea why she is so drawn to Tilram, she also has no idea how to help him get home. When another man appears through a portal in the same spot in the park, she and Tilram end up in the fight of their lives. Now they know who the enemy is, but he has mage magic on his side and Callie has a hard time fighting it. She and Tilram are growing closer, but he is a prince whose family doesn't trust magic users and she is a witch who bakes pastries for a living. Is there any way they actually belong together.

Great story. It says this is book one, so I hope there are more to come in the series.

I really do love trying different anthologies. I usually pick one with authors I know so I get at least a book or two I know I will enjoy. And then I usually end up finding new to me authors that I enjoy this way as well. And with this one being only 99 cents it is also an easy choice.

I've only gotten to read Enslaving Ezmira in the box set so far. I love these 2 authors on their own. But together they end up blowing me away. I have read the other books in the series which includes Ezmira's story and couldn't wait to see what happened in this one. Tho they come before this one, the authors wrote this story as more of a stand alone that still includes the other characters but you can still enjoy without having read the others. Can't wait to get into the rest of the book!

This box set is a collection of hot alien alphas paired perfectly with phenomenal FMCs. Each story is unique and beautifully written by a group of amazing authors. One of my favorites in the series was Ensalving Ezmira. Something about Quasim makes my heart hurt for him. This was a perfect blend between light vs dark and I loved the pairing with these two. If you love alien romance you definitely have to check out this box set. LOVED IT!

Fantastic alien romance!

Review for Lynn Garcia Carmer's Veras: Nozaroc Alien Warrior
There are always a few things I can count on from Lynn's stories. One, she dives right into the action with her story telling. Two, she paints a full picture with her descriptions. And three, there is always plenty of heat between her characters. This one is no different. I was drawn in from the first page and was only disappointed when I reached the end because I wanted more. Lynn delivers an epic new world full of danger, adventure, and romance. I'm excited to see it continue.

I've read Enslaving Ezmira and I absolutely loved it. Quasim is so broken and jaded. Lost in his own personal world of demons. Even though Ezmira has been forced into the position she finds herself in with Quasim, she has a pure heart that sees the true souls of those she's with. She breaks down Quasim's walls and see's the real man behind the pain. My first story in the collection and it was amazing. I'm on to Her Alien Prince.

Enslaving Ezmira

By far the best story in the fairytale series it is a part of. For lack of a better word, this book was very compelling. You don't see many stories with the alpha male portrayed as broken as Quasim was. While the character's in the other books failed to do so, these characters were able to, not only pull me in and capture my attention, but keep it as well.

This Review is for Her Alien Prince by Brenda Trim

Her Alien Prince is a magical and imaginative Sci-Fi Fantasy Romance which turned out to be a delightfully succulent treat of a read!
The story revolves around dragon Prince Tilram who has been drugged, kidnapped and sent through a portal to Earth. As if that wasn’t enough who comes to his aid but a witch, Calista.
Where he’s from their called mages and he immediately suspects Calista of being the one to have brought him to her world.
The action and adventure have the adrenaline pumping as the story unravels at a pace that keeps the reader engaged and in anticipation of what will happen next, and plenty does!
Characters were well crafted, the writing was vivid and entertaining the love scenes both hot and sultry leaving this reader having read a very good story indeed. HEA

Enslaving Ezmira
by V.T. Bonds

This was a retelling of the Hunchback of Notre Dam it's Bk4 in the Fairytale Fusions series. Ezmira is a dancer in a troupe that they were asked to come and perform at the King's coronation. Quasim has both been tortured physically and mentally and when he sees Ezmira on stage as he watches her he realizes she is the balm for his soul. This is definitely one to read it was so good.

Fast-paced, sexy read involving dragons and magic, part of the Chosen by an Alien anthology. Tilram and Callie were cute and sexy together as she and her mother attempt to help Tilram back to his home world and save them from his best friend who betrayed him. The anthology contains 21 other stories which I'm looking forward to reading.

This review is for Enslaving Ezmira by Leann Ryans and V.T. Bonds. The fourth book in their SciFi Fairytale Fusions series it's a retelling of the Hunchback and Esmeralda, the dancing gypsy girl. IMO this is one of the best in the series. I love a tortured hero and Quasim has both been tortured physically and mentally and Ezmira is the balm for his soul. I loved their relationship and was so excited about their HEA. I haven't yet read any other stories in this anthology, but I plan to once it's released.

Amamzing Collection of Novellas

I absolutely loved reading these Novellas. Her Alien Prince by Brenda Trim was very lovely dragon shifter falling in love a witch. I kinda wish he had gotten to transform into his dragon form but it was amazing none the less. Claiming Their Dollface by Gracen Miller is a very lovely reverse harem. Shes wanting to leave the place where she is enslaved and her rescuers are trying to take back control of their planet. Claiming Ezmira is a great retelling of Hunchback Of Notredam. Hes a war veterean alien whos suffered from extreme torture living in pain. He comes across a lovely traveling dance whom takes his pain away when he watches her dance. Its such a lovely read. The Dixie Stop by Terri A. Wilson. Dixie is a business woman running a diner and a secret clinic. She ends up helping two very important men. One whom lets just say is packing a double penis. Which leeves more questions than answer in reguards to it if ya catch my drift. The Echo Discovery by Sherri Lynn caused a lot of emotional damage. I wanted to punch Dr. Steel in the face repeatedly. I felt so sad and bad for Echo. As a mom this one was emotional for me to read because of the treatment of Echo. Veras Nozaroc Alien Warrior by Lynn Garcia Carmen was amazing and disgusting. Shes a human who tries to make herself small to survive on this alien planet. She connects with a shapeshifting Alien Veras whos home world they live on. All inhabitants will be destroyed bit not if she and her new alien lover can stop it or let it happen. He is like Alien sex toy buzz buzz. Spacenapped for Feyir Imogen by Leora Gonzales. I absolutely love her books. This bok ties in with her Miners Of Djaromir series which is a fantist read if you love this novella. I absolutely adore her books and so much spice. The rest of the Novellas are justcas great these are some i decided to highlight. You like spice, alien romance this lovely read has a ton of short spicy novellas to read!!!

HER ALIEN PRINCE

Loved it! I really hope this is going to be part of a series cause I need more of it. The magic, Thad dragons, the characters and world building are amazing. It’s well written and has danger, betrayal, a backstabbing best friend, true mates, steamy scenes and a happily ever after ending. I was hooked from the start.

Tilram is a dragon prince and heir to the throne of the planet Nacilia. He’s at a bar with his best friend and he decides to leave with a female, before he does he drinks his last drink in one go and they leave. He’s soon feeling unwell and before he goes unconscious he can feel someone moving him. He knows he’s in danger and tries to warn his parents but is unable to. Callie and her mum are witches and when Tilram comes through the portal it wakes them. They go there and find Tilram who immediately thinks they had something to do with his kidnapping. Callie explains they don’t have dragons on Earth and if he nosey neighbours see him he will be locked up. He goes with them and they keep him safe and give him clothes ect. They vow to find a way to return him but before they can the portal opens again and Tilram knows it’s whoever sent him here come back to kill him. He goes to find who it is and is shocked not only to find it’s his best friend but he’s using mage magic, something the dragons abhor. Him and Callie attack but are injured and even though they manage to push him back through their nosey neighbours call the police leaving Tilram trying to get them back to her house before he passes out too. Now they know who they are fighting they must try to find a way for him to get back to his planet and warn his parents, he doesn’t want to leave Callie and when he and Callie get steamy his dragon mates her which leaves leaving her unthinkable.

I received an ARC copy of Enslaving Esmira from the box set and I thoroughly enjoyed it and will say that this was the best book to round off the series and introduce the Chosen by an Alien box set!

I don’t want to give the plot away but these ladies really know how to delve deep into characters psych to reveal their story!

Quasim was captured and tortured and experienced all kinds of hell during his service which made him a hunched, pain filled recluse from his family and friends as he thought he was not worthy……

It was at his cousin Armyns coronation that he saw the most beautiful omega dancer and watching her took away some of the pain and that is when he decided she will dance for him……

Esmira was loosing her passion and purpose of dancing until she was kidnapped and taken away from the palace by a scarred, broken hunched back alpha……

A broken soul and a lost soul find each other in this steamy slow burn journey to acceptance and love penned by a talented duo V.T. Bonds and Leann Rayns!

This is a review for just "Enslaving Ezmira". Hope to read the rest soon.
Ezmira is a dancer in a troupe. They were asked to perform at the King's coronation. Quasim saw her dance and it soothed him. His body relaxed and the pain seemed to fade away. Quasim was tortured badly when he was captured and disfigured. He took her after they finished and brought her to his home so she could dance for him to get the relief he so desperately needed. Ezmirea enjoyed dancing for him and give this relief. Quasim doesn't feel he deserves her since he is so deformed and damaged. She goes into heat and he helps her out but then returns her even after she bit him and claimed him but he didn't reciprocate. She knows something is wrong, she feels it. She gets King Armyn to bring her back to Quasim's home. Will she get there in time? Will Quasim finally find himself worthy of happiness? Loved this story!

This review is for "Her Alien Prince" by Brenda Trim

I really enjoyed this story. The action started right from the beginning and caught my attention from the start- especially when a character gets a gut feeling that isn't good.. and ignores it. The consequences are never good. Prince Tilram is an alien dragon shifter who was out drinking with a friend and was leaving with a female when he began to lose consciousness and was taken by someone he couldn't see. The next he's aware, he finds himself in a strange land captured by what he assumes are mages. Callie is a witch, and she and her mother were awakened by whatever spell sent Tilram to Earth and discovered a very angry man outside who turns into a dragon. Realizing they're not a threat, nor did they kidnap him, they bring him inside to help him figure out what happened to him, and how he can contact his family. I liked the story and I loved the characters. 5 stars.

This is a real mix of stories: serious, funny, romantic, sexy; unfortunately there is a mix of ability too, with some garnering low ratings from me. However, I would advise its purchase if only for the 5 Star tale, Enslaving Ezmira:
From Gothic tragedy to fairy-tale romance
Disney started it, turning this dark Gothic tale into a sweet romance, but Leann Ryans and V T Bonds put their own, very hot, twist on it and make it sadder than the original and sweeter than the cartoon. When Quasim, in constant pain from the injuries he suffered when tortured in the war, sees Ezmira dance, he is so entranced he forgets his agonies as she sweeps his psyche away. In seeking her out, he rescues her, but then takes her to be his own personal tiny dancer. How this fearsome 'monster' becomes Ezmira's mate (because of course he does!) is handled remarkably well as her empathy and kindness shines through. Another triumph.

I purchased the boxset for Enslaving Ezmira and it was amazing, All of the books in the series have such chemistry between the characters but this was my favorite of them all. So much trauma, pain, healing and love. Just to see Quasim come to terms with his past and what he deserves for the future caused me to cry. V.T. Bonds has been one of my favorite writers for her ability to take tough topics and handle them carefully, appropriately and thoughtfully. She paired up with Leann Ryans on this latest series and it has just been incredible. I laughed, I cried, the sex was hot and steamy, definitely worth the read.

I also have read a few of the other stories and have really enjoyed them, there are some amazing authors who put there work into this anthology and I can't wait to finish. Too bad when we look up to the stars, all we see are stars, huh.

Spacenapped for Fyeir: Imogen

I got this anthology for Leora Gonzales' story. Spacenapped for Fyeir: Imogen is book 1 in a spinoff series. I recommend reading the Warriors Of Phaeton series and The Miners Of Djaromar series before reading this story. All of the books can be read as standalone books but, in my opinion, the overall story is better reading them in order.

In the first Miners Of Djaromar book, several women were kidnapped & rescued from being sold to the highest bidder. The Spacenapped series will be some of the rescued women.
This was such a short story that I didn't feel like I got to know this couple as well as I would have liked. It was still good and I liked both Imogen and Dag'r.
I will certainly read more in this series as It becomes available.

What's not to love about an alien-full, steamy, action-packed anthology!! Her Alien Prince by Brenda Trim is one of my favorites and honestly, this is why I bought the book. Prince Tilram, a dragon and heir to the throne, has been drugged and sent through a portal to Earth, a planet he knows nothing about. Fortunately, he is found by a witch, Callie, who is compassionate and wants to help. These two have great chemistry and join forces to fight to get him back home. This book was action packed, well paced, steamy, and so much more. You can buy for less than $1 or read for FREE with KU.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This very hard for me to read

This collection makes me wonder what the lives of the various authors are like. Is this a reflection of their experiences, or just the darkness of their imaginations. All the authors present such painful and negative takes on life. They see a future where all the worse aspects of humankind are duplicated in other civilizations except with longer history and better technology. The stories offer a rather hopeless vision of the value and treatment of women past, present, and future. I could only read one or two at a time because of how sad they made me.

Great anthology. I was not expecting so many great stories , although short they are not a quick read and give you plenty to scream about.
My favourite story was Leann Ryans & VT bonds: Enslaving Ezmira.
Emzira is getting by in life, Dancing with her troupe, knowing there is more to life, but not sure where to find it, or even if she should, when she finds herself in quaisms gaze and there she seems to stay, as for him, she is his balm, his pain killer and peace in the storm and that is all he needs.
brilliant read.
