In 2004, CLAMP's 15th anniversary as a mangaka group, the members changed their names from Nanase Ohkawa, Mokona Apapa, Mick Nekoi, and Satsuki Igarashi to Ageha Ohkawa, Mokona, Tsubaki Nekoi and Satsuki Igarashi (her name is pronounced the same, but written with different characters) respectively. The August 2004 issue of Newtype USA, a magazine specializing in events of the anime and manga subcultures, reported that the members of CLAMP simply wanted to try out new names. In a later interview with Ohkawa, it was revealed that initially Mokona wanted to drop her surname because it sounded too immature for her liking, while Nekoi disliked people commenting that her name was the same as Mick Jagger's. Ohkawa and Igarashi, wanting to go with the flow of Nekoi's and Mokona's name changes, changed their names as well.
In 2006, they made their first USA public debut at Anime Expo in Anaheim, California. They were well received at the convention, with 6,000 fans in attendance at their panel.

Me estoy cansando de que este nuevo manga no avance nada de nada. Además, me he sentido bastante perdida en algunos momentos en los que el dibujo es muy caótico y no se entiende lo que está pasando. Me sabe fatal porque adoro Sakura, pero creo que el Clear Card Arc no está a la altura.

Forte di una rilettura anche della serie principale, mi pare di avere una visione d’insieme più chiara. Devo dire che la storia in sé è molto carina e non stona più di tanto con la serie madre, quantomeno non dà l’impressione di essere stata trascinata solo per guadare sul marchio, anche se la serie principale aveva nel sottotesto questo messaggio sull’amore o il voler bene come lo edulcorano i personaggi stessi che si concludeva benissimo nella serie principale. Quello che però più sto trovando antipatico è il fatto che molti personaggi sanno cose, scoprono cose ma piuttosto che condividerle o confrontarsi diplomaticamente con amici e “nemici” (a chi ancora crede che Yuna D. Kaito non sia solo un cucciolo… io per fine serie quando la rileggo voglio un motivo valido per cui questo deve fa la parte dello stronzo e se non regge mi incazzo) decidono di non farlo e i motivi che trovano per non farlo sono a dir poco assurdi…

i dont trust clamp anymore fr, like it FEELS like we ended on an interesting note this volume but i'm sure in my heart they'll walk it back in volume 11. NO plot progression! ONLY vibes

Attraverso la creazione di una nuova carta, Li Syaoran viene messo a parte di certe preoccupazioni. Mi piace molto che ora, Sakura consapevole, riesca un po' meglio a piegare la scelta di cosa creare. Dall'altra parte la situazione non è delle migliori, non sappiamo bene perchè ma il tempo sta finendo, e in fondo i volumi sono solo 16. Vedremo...

Okay, anyway that damn cliffhanger ending! why can't the next book released in august maybe? we need it! Sakura power got stronger, Syaoran and Sakura's relationship still so pure and sweet, I'm curious about Yukito's power and deal, and I may have an idea what Kaito wanna do with the card he kidnapped.

Irgendwie werde ich mit dem gesamten Clear Card Arc nicht warm. Einige wichtige Plotpoints wurden bereits erläutert, aber die meiste Zeit fühlt es sich so an als würde man ungeschickt von einer Situation in die nächste tapsen und so wirklich passiert einfach nichts.

Que de mignonnerie ! Mais aussi un goût de trop peu… J'ai l'impression tenace que le tome s'est déroulé à une vitesse folle sans qu'il ne se passe grand-chose. Et j'avoue que je commence à me lasser un peu de ces mystères qui ne se résolvent pas le moins du tout. J'adore toujours autant la série, surtout depuis qu'elle a vraiment pris son envol, mais j'aimerai avoir l'ébauche d'une toute petite réponse maintenant que nous en sommes au tome dix…
Disons clairement que c'est le côté très mignon du tome ainsi que le fait que les Clamp se consacrent à Sakura et Shaolan qui sauvent ma lecture. Si je prends un peu de recul, on nage dans le flou depuis trop longtemps, et les nouvelles cartes que Sakura crée sont trop passées à la trappe. Leur révélation est brusque, et elles n'ont pas d'âme pour moi. Ce sont plus des outils dont se sert notre jeune héroïne. On perd le côté magique typique de Card Captor Sakura. Et c'est cruellement dommage.
Alors oui, on a quelques petites miettes auxquelles se raccrocher. Je n'arrive pas à me défaire par exemple de cette impression qu'un malheur pèse sur Akiho et Kaito. Je n'ai pas de très grosses craintes vu l'univers, mais on sent que les agissements du magicien sont en partie dictés par ce manque de temps. Il y a aussi une influence « Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle ». Probablement due à ces doubles. Je ne sais pas si les deux mangas seront liés à un moment donné, mais l'idée serait plus qu'alléchante. L'histoire aussi des deux Alices, du miroir, de la ressemblance entre Sakura et Akiho sont comme des signaux d'alarme. Mais ils restent cela. Pas de réponses, des suppositions tout au plus. Et je veux plus maintenant.
Fort heureusement, les Clamp nous offrent des moments très sympathiques en contrepartie. J'aime toujours voir Shaolan interagir avec les cartes de Sakura. Il y a un réel attachement, une complicité aussi que j'adore. Clairement un reflet des sentiments des deux jeunes gens qui commencent d'ailleurs doucement à faire évoluer leur relation. C'est touchant, attendrissant, absolument adorable ! Il y a aussi cette maturité et cette grandeur chez nos deux héros. Ce sont des traits de caractère que j'apprécie beaucoup chez eux. La confiance qu'ils ont, le fait qu'ils se comprennent même à travers leurs erreurs font que le manga peut clairement parler à des adultes. C'est aussi ça Card Captor Sakura. Tout comme les petits moments d'humour, on y retrouve une maturité et une douceur unique.
Alors oui, je rouspète parce que j'ai cette impression de trop peu, et que ma « patience » légendaire est mise à rude épreuve (patience inexistante bien entendu… ironie quand tu nous tiens). Mais, la série a gagné en potentiel depuis un moment, je ne peux pas le nier, et je prends toujours du plaisir à lire le manga, c'est un fait. Et c'est pour cela que j'en veux plus. Plus de concret. Une entrée véridique dans le vif du sujet et aussi une conclusion à certains événements restés en suspens. On croise les doigts pour le tome onze alors !

This one focused most of the story on the preparations for Naoko’s play and just the interactions between the kids and it was so nice!! Even the magic parts, though still kind of opaque, felt like some progress was made. Li and Sakura finally talked a bit about what was happening and Sakura used the record card to show Li the latest run in she’d had with the mysterious robed kid and also showed him her recent dreams. Kaito has something going on that seemed to briefly incapacitate him and said he’s running out of time (perhaps a spell that took too much life force or something?). The Sakura cards that Li’s holding onto were whisked away from him while everyone but Li and Sakura were frozen at school. They managed to save them from being…card-napped(?) but then Li noticed the Mirror card was missing.
All in all, I have truly missed enjoying reading a Cardcaptor Sakura story, so this was delightful! I still have no idea what her mother and her mother’s friend and Kaito and the mint chocolates have to do with each other or how exactly Akiho and Sakura are linked…like were they once one and were split and Sakura has the evident magical powers and Akiho doesn’t seem to have any but when together they’re like the ultimate power? Are they some sort of magical twins? Is Sakura so super powerful because she’s actually accessing both her power and Akiho’s and the clear cards she’s creating are actually going to be wielded by Akiho after some sort of power sharing split happens…?? Also waiting to understand what’s up with Sakura’s mom’s magical pocket watch. But! I have very much needed a break in all the magical confusion and I’m hoping the next book will follow in the same vein.
A side note: I do feel that in general, manga’s OBSESSION with the Alice in Wonderland story is starting to wear thin for me; it just seems to be getting woven into EVERYYYYYTHINNNNG.

Ahhhh Card Captor Sakura ! Je ne me lasserai jamais de retourner dans cet univers qui a bercé toute mon enfance. Alors quand une suite à la saga culte est sortie en France en 2017... j’ai plongé !
“Card Captor Sakura - Clear Arc” se situe seulement un an après les évènements de la série originelle. Notre chère Sakura s’y découvre un nouveau pouvoir : celui de créer de nouvelles cartes. Tandis que des évènements étranges et des personnes mystérieuses apparaissent autour d’elle, elle va de nouveau devoir faire appel à la magie de Clow pour protéger celleux qu’elle aime...
“Card Captor Sakura - Clear Arc” est pour moi la lecture parfaite de fin de journée. Quand j’ai envie de me reposer le cerveau, j’ouvre un tome de cette série, et me voilà partie dans un univers fleurie et rose, où tout se finit toujours bien.
Certes, l’intrigue de cette suite n’est pas très originale. La construction narrative est brouillonne et après dix tomes, l’histoire peine à avancer. Et pourtant, le charme opère toujours. Les dessins sont superbes, Sakura absolument adorable et l’évolution de sa relation avec Shaolan ravira les fans du couple.
Bref, c'est un grand oui, teintée de nostalgie, pour moi !

Naoko akan menulis naskah untuk drama pementasan di klubnya. Setelah melihat Sakura dan Akiho yang terlihat kompak, ia pun memutuskan untuk menulis drama tentang Dua Alice. Teman-temannya membantu mengonsep drama.
Di sekolah, Sakura bertemu dengan sosok misterius berjubah dari mimpinya. Setelag bertarung dengannya, dia mendapati bahwa sosok itu adalah Syaoran. Jelas saja ia kembali shock. Namun, Syaoran yang asli kemudian muncul sehingga Sakura akhirnya menyadari bahwa sosok itu adalah ilusi dari kartu Mirage. Untuk kembali ke dunia nyata, Sakura pun menangkap kartu Dreaming.
Beberapa hari kemudian, waktu kembali berhenti di sekolah. Hanya Syaoran dan Sakura yang bisa bergerak. Tiba-tiba semua kartu yang dipegang Syaoran ditarik oleh kekuatan misterius. Syaoran menggunakan Windy untuk menarik semua kartu itu kembali. Namun, kartu Mirror hilang.
Saat Akiho dan Sakura saling melukis gambar potret satu sama lain di pelajaran seni, tiba-tiba jam milik Nadeshiko menghentikan waktu. Karena mengira Yuna yang menghentikan waktu, Momo pun bergerak. Tapi rupanya Sakura tidak terpengaruh oleh sihir waktu dan kini ia tahu bahwa Momo bukan sekadar boneka biasa.

The story is as cute as it always is, but there's something about the art and pacing that's just a bit off. It doesn't flow as seamlessly as it normally does, but instead cuts from to point to point as though to direct our attention to this and that and the other point, like with the opening about how much Yamazaki looks like his father, then to how much Sakura and Akiho look alike, and continuing this thread throughout. Meanwhile, we enter some of their mundane daily tasks that result in sudden Clear Cards and we're bounced between side plots about the school play, tiredness, and sewing. We don't even see Kaito until near the end, but we do get a bit of cute Sakura and Syaorin scenes. No costumes. Lots of action panels that could use a word or two to help us out. A cute bedtime scene with Spinny and Kero (aw). Overall, it's still what you'd expect from this series and Clamp, just a little more disjointed than usual.

No sé si es que he retomado la lectura de esta serie después de dos meses o si realmente es así, pero he sentido este volumen como de transición. Pasan algunas cosas, como la conversación de Syaoran y Sakura sobre la figura encapuchada o el reloj de la madre de Sakura parando el tiempo y gracias a eso Sakura ve a Momo moverse, pero tiene mucho relleno de escenas cotidianas. Me gusta la relación de Syaoran con las cartas de Clown. El dibujo, en cambio, me ha parecido aun más confuso que otras veces.
Me parece que el final se va acercando. Y creo que va siendo hora.
Este volumen tiene un episodio especial al final, sobre la relación de Akiho y Kaito. Me sobra. Me repele la historia de amor entre esos dos.

So the anime messed up big time, putting Akiho in the robes because the manga makes it clear it's supposed to be Syaoran. My question is if it is a premonition from Sakura? Will Kaito take control of Syaoran to use against Sakura. And the Mirror Card has been kidnapped! I can't believe it.
So much is happening and i just want to keep reading, but I only have two novels left and so many unanswered questions and I can already see that there will be a 13th & 14th volume if not more. If Tsubasa is any indication of how long this manga is going to last i'm doomed waiting for several more years...

So much is happening and i just want to keep reading, but I only have two novels left and so many unanswered questions and I can already see that there will be a 13th & 14th volume if not more. If Tsubasa is any indication of how long this manga is going to last i'm doomed waiting for several more years...

Damn... my dogs have had a better childhood than Akiho... She was only allowed one stuffed animal? And no playmates? Hell, no one would even talk to her until Kaito came along? They all just told her she was worthless because she couldn't do any magic! It makes sense that she'd start crying the second Sakura said they were friends and wanted her to be happy. The damage to her soul must have been what made her power spiral out of control immediately.
It was nice to see Syaoran getting a chance to be funny in this volume, putting his foot directly into his mouth and trying to ask Sakura out on a date. (The throwback to the play in CCS was nice for fans to spot!) It's still bizarre to me how hard the story is pushing Syaoran as the robed figure or villain. Is Kaito doing it? Like he's making Syaoran look like the enemy so Sakura will create a specific card to undo it?
Gasp! I can't wait to see what comes out of that conversation. 3/5

Por favor que gran tomo este, lleno de misterio y un personaje en su forma verdadera.
La historia no se si esta llegando a su final pero este tomo esta lleno de mucha información que Sakura al igual que nosotros necesitábamos para poder comprender de apoco mucho de la trama. La verdad es que me a encantado y si bien siempre cuento mucho e estos pequeños resumen esta vez no lo hare por que se perdería mucho. Claramente hay que leer el tomo y descubrir tantas cosas. Muero por leer el penúltimo tomo antes de que entre en Hiatus por unos meses. En Agosto vuelven a publicar capítulos las Clamp así que de cabeza me meto a leer el tomo 11.

Sakura Card Captor Clear Card, decimo tomo de la nueva serie de CLAMP. En este nuevo tomo nos encontramos con nuevas aventuras y peligros que acechan a nuestra protagonista y a sus amigos. Se desvelan nuevos secretos que dejarán a nuestra protagonista confusa y sin saber qué hacer a la hora de decidir la opción correcta. La trama sigue en la línea de toda la serie del manga, con nuevas viñetas graciosas por parte de algunos personajes que no pierden la esencia del manga original. Nos desvelan nuevas subtramas que conectan a la perfección con todo lo que ya habíamos descubierto hasta ahora. El final de este tomo te deja sin habla y con ganas de que publiquen el siguiente lo antes posible.

¡Amo a Sakura! Soy super fan de esta historia y sus personajes desde que era pequeña. Con los años mi cariño hacia la saga ha ido creciendo y es por eso que cuando supe que saldría otra temporada de la tan aclamada Cardcaptor corrí a verla.
Y fue así que descubrí que estaba basada en estos comics, los cuales me han tenido atrapada desde entonces. Terminó la serie animada y yo tenía muchas ganas de saber que pasaría con la historía así que ahora espero con ansas cada mes a que salga un nuevo comic.
Creo que jamas podré cansarme el mundo mágico de Sakura.

No puedo esperar a que sea 1ro de Marzo para que salga el siguiente capitulo del siguiente tomo, yo desde el principio algo sospechaba de que querían que Akiho y Sakura intercambiaran vidas, pero con lo que hizo momo al final del ultimo capitulo de este tomo, yo pienso que le va a enseñar el periodo de tiempo en el que Nadeshiko se embarazo de ella, la tuvo y despues como perdió la vida

AHHHHHH!!!! Como me gusta Sakura (L)
De verdad, me encanta!
Lo malo es que se termina el tomo en menos de una hora, y yo ahora qué hago!
Encima solo faltan dos tomos, yo aviso, en el momento que termine voy a entrar en depresión xD
Pero hasta el momento, yo muy feliz leyendo esta historia de Clear Card, encima ahora mismo está todo súper emocionante. Se empieza a descubrir cositas, y madre mía, tengo unas ganas de leer la continuación, aunque sepa que me va a dar algo cuando lo lea xD

Pros: Syaoran! OMG, he's the cutest. And he is actively trying to ask her out and make plans, etc. He deserves happiness. Give us more Sakura and Syaoran!
Cons: whatever is happening with Akiho. Her "relationship" with that is getting creepier and creepier. And I have to keep reminding me that this is the same series that put together teaches with their ELEMENTARY students, more than once. Ugh!

Le he dado más nota a este tomo porque me ha encantado ver mucho más a Shaoran, tener momentos desde su perspectiva y verle junto a las cartas, cuya relación que se ha forjado me parece muy bonita. Solo por eso ha merecido la pena el tomo.
El final del mismo también me ha encantado y me ha dejado sorprendida, pero espero que de verdad sea un avance y no vuelva a caer en saco roto, porque esto de avanzar y retroceder todo el rato durante diez tomos está cansándome.
