Rumor says that your mother might be alive; if you are Concho Ten-wolves, you are on your way!
Concho Ten-Wolves grew up on the Kickapoo reservation with his grandparents, they told him that his mother was dead, but out of the blue, he gets a call from a stranger that she might be alive and living in Louisiana. This stranger happens to be possibly his half-brother, which makes the mystery even more interesting; he has to go and find out for sure. Arriving and just before meeting up with Bull Knife, his younger brother, things start to pop when he sees a woman that feels like he knows her, but she takes off. As he follows her to find out why she ran, a couple of locals that take exception to him try to beat him down.
Dispatching both men, he goes back to the casino and meets up with Bull Knife. After going over things, they agree to meet the next day and start their search, each heading to their rooms. Bull Knife starts walking back to his hotel, and he finds that he is being followed. After he gets the best of the man, he finds out that he was hired to follow and report back to his client. Concho arrives at his hotel he finds two men that are determined to take him down! All this makes Concho even more determined to find out why someone does not want him to seek the answer to his mother’s existence, and the story begins.
Join Concho and Bull Knife while battling the dangerous attacks and searching for information on their mother…
What did I like? Concho Ten-Wolves is one heck of a Texas Ranger that is as honest as the day is long. I love how he works, his attitude, and his effortless style of life, even though he seems to find more trouble than ticks in the summertime.
What will you like? Wow, the excitement and emotions run rampid in this book, Concho and Bull Knife are attacked at every turn, finding more questions than answers. I love New Orleans; it is such a fantastic town with all the glitz and glitter of the lifestyle. The food is amazing and perfect to fill a big boy like Concho. The ending will blow you away; I think this is the best book in the series to date. AW Hart’s latest book in the Concho series, “Crescent City Blues,” is available NOW!!!
