Grzeczni chłopcy nie kradną staników

Rate this book

I was on the promotional blog tour for this book!

I remember reading the original novel on Wattpad a few years ago and really liking it. A good girl meets bad boy story, with lots of humor, pranks and also some heartfelt moments to do with family and high school life. I can see young teenagers relating to topics such as falling in love for the first time and also with first heartbreak. Riley meets Alec after he moves in next door to her family. What follows is a awkward friendship and possible love story, until Riley’s ex shows back up in their hometown. It was a nice quick read at under 300 pages long, good for a quick contemporary fix. I found the storyline with the stealing of the bra to be funny and a good set-up for the further events to come. I would read more books by this author, recommended for those who like a fast-paced read!

Thank you NetGalley and Black & White Publishing for providing me with an Arc in exchange for an honest review.

Well... I don't quite know what to think of it tbh.

For like 75% of it I was all invested in the lightness of will they or won't they. A nice little contemporary for me to read. I mean look at the name of the book, it's hilarious. 10000000% guilty pleasure. I just think the last 25% of the book was a bit meh for me.

I legit needed something light and fluffy and it kind of gave me what I wanted...

Full RTC closer to the release date.

Yazarın yaşını (kitap basıldığında 19 muş) ve baştaki wattpad'e teşekkür notunu görünce bütün beklentilerimi düşürerek okudum ama cıksss sevmeyi başaramadım. Belki liseli kardeşlerimiz daha çok beğenebilir 🤔

Eğlenceli bir kitaptı. Ama bana göre çok saçma yeri vardı. Kız resmen başına hep böyle bir olay geliyormuş havalarında😂😂Oğlan pencereden sırf iddia için evine giriyor sütyenini alıyor. Gayet pişkin bir şekilde geri vermeyeceğini söylüyor. Kızdaki sakinliğe bak. Ben saçını başını yolardım vallahi😂😂Islak odunla😀Ve artık usandım erkek karakterin en yakın arkadaşının da aynı kızdan hoşlanması olayından.😒

3.35/5 Stars!

The title of this book may sound extremly cheesy but it was more than just the cliché title.
Books like this are actually one of the reasons that I enjoy YA contemporary so much. Before reading this book I had no idea what it was about, all I knew was that it used to be a Wattpad story, which I think is amazing becaue many people were given the oppertunities from that to publish their stories and turn them into books.

The idea of the story is entertaining and refreshing yet very teenager-y (That's not even a proper english word but I'll just go along with it). Riley wakes up in the middle of the night when her new next door neighbor Alec is in the room stealing her bra. Alec is a likable and charming guy (on whom every girl develops a crush) - I always laughed at his pick-up lines. All characters had a depth and were tangible. What I loved was that everyone had their strengths and weaknesses and made mistakes, which is normal and realistic because every human being makes mistakes whether they're small or big.
The book was written humorously and I liked it. The friendship between the characters came across very well. Especially Riley's best friend Violet, she was like a sister to her. There were moments when got serious and sad because there are things from the past that still persecute Riley and that are not easy for them.
All in all, Bad Boy Stole My Bra was a very good and varied book that I enjoyed, however there were some plot holes that should've been more explored other than that it was a make-you-feel-good book!

Alec:Sen Google misin?
Riley:Ne?
Riley:Ne yapmaya...
Alec:İlk görüşte aşka inanır mısın? Yoksa yanından tekrar geçmemi mi istersin?
Riley:Alec, gerçekten....
Alec:Çok tatlısın. Yoksa baban şekerci mi?
Riley:Kes şunu!
Alec:Neyi kesmemi istiyorsun? Sana iltifat etmeyi mi? Günümüzde bir erkeğin hoşlandığı kıza asılmaya hakkı yok mu?
Riley:Hoşlanmak mı? Ne?

I got sent this book in exchange for a honest review, all my opinions are my own and thank you so much to the publishers for sending me this book!

So I read this book when it first came out on wattpad a couple of years ago and I loved it and there I was scrolling through arc's to request and this came up and I was so excited because this book definitely deserved to get published.

In this story we follow Riley, who's new neighbours have just moved in. Her new neighbour is Alex Wilder who climbs into Riley's bedroom window and steals her Mickey Mouse bra. This leads to a blossoming friendship between the two of them and a whole lot of chemistry.

So the charcaters in this book are fantastic. Riley is such a great protagonist, she is strong and witty and I loved following from her perspective.
Alex Wilder, let's talk about this guy who everyone fell in love with on wattpad. First of all his name got changed because it was Alex Ryder looking back but who cares he was still the guy I renember. Every time Alex said something I swooned, his pick up lines are cheesy but so fun and I laughed out loud every time.

The romance is slow-burn but you always see hints of it throughout the start of the book. Riley and Alex go together so well and I just love them together.

A bad boy stole my bra is hitting shelves on 12th July so definitely give it a shot, I don't think you'll find it on wattpad now because it's published but hopefully you find it in your local bookstore very soon.

2,5/5 🌟

I received an Advance Reader Copy from the publisher via NetGalley. This in no way impacted on my view.

I've said it time and time again, but during the summer, especially when the weather is nice and hot, like it's been in England lately with the heatwave, I adore reading cutesy contemporaries. When I saw this book on NetGalley, it seemed like the perfect summer read, and it really was - I mean, I read it all in a day, so that'll tell you how good it was. In A Bad Boy Stole My Bra, Riley is awoken one night to find a stranger in her room, climbing out the window with one of her bras. Safe to say, she's shocked to say the least. When she is actually introduced to him, he is her new neighbour, Alec, and between them both there is competition to get each other back, starting firstly with the bra. As the competition intensifies, the sparks fly, and they grow closer to one another, and start to understand just who they are.

I really enjoyed this book, and the main character, Riley. She has a hidden past, where she feels guilty about something that happened, that really wasn't her, or her ex-boyfriend's fault, but that they still blame themselves for. Because of that she is a bit apprehensive about opening up to others, especially romantically. With how her last relationship ended, when she meets Alec, though she thinks he is good looking, she can't find herself really comfortable at first with his playful flirting, but she gives as good as she gets. Once they have opened up to each other, and become really good friends, that's when Riley begins to think she might be up to the possibility of more, and, honestly, I was desperate for it to get to that stage. Their chemistry was unreal.

The side characters in the book all had their own stories, though some we learn more about than others, like Alec's friends, Chase, Joe and Dylan. There is an element of sameness to some of them, as the main plot revolves around Riley and Alec, but I did enjoy learning little bits, here and there about them. The subplot surrounding Riley's cousin Kaitlyn, and what happened to her, did keep the book from being completely fluffy, and brought a level of seriousness into the book that was probably needed to make sure it didn't get ridiculous.

I never read this book when it was on wattpad - I don't think I ever read anything on wattpad - but from what I've seen from others, it doesn't seem to have changed much since it's been published traditionally. It was predictable at times, but most YA contemporaries are - if you enjoy contemporary fiction, give this one a go.

Thanks , That rescued me from a reading slump ♥.

The book was cute and funny. I would have given it a 3 but the book has deeper meanings to it.I can't deny that the title was the first thing that intrigued me (and embarrassed me a little) but I wouldn't have liked the book that much if it was that alone.

The characters here were adorable & fantastic. The family aspects were executed very well. I love Riley 's mother a lot. I liked listening to the story from this point of view . I lovvvved Alec . He was thoughtful and adorable .I loved how he helped her with her panic. I loved the guys' small gang ♥. I can't be more jealous of Riley for having all these good guys.
I am looking forward to any thing this author will write.

This is so surreal to be reading this AGAIN but being able to physically hold it in my hands. I read this all the way back in 2014 as an 11-year-old middle schooler, when it was all the hype on Wattpad. I have been in love with Alec Wilde ever since then.

This book still lives up to the hype it got all those years ago. It’s just crazy to get to see it in a brand new light. The book cover has gotten a glow up (see ya later to the original with Selena Gomez haha) and the reviews are so endearing. Being 20-years-old and rereading the Wattpad novel that had a chokehold on me as a preteen is like a fever dream.

It’s obvious that there wasn’t much work done on it before reaching publication (simple grammar mistakes, the switching between past and present tense, and so on), hence the 3-star review. Back then, Riley Greene was completely relatable and a lovable character. But now, as an adult, reading about these silly teenagers being over-dramatic about the smallest things is so embarrassing. But, like, the good embarrassing that makes me keep reading. As far as the writing, it’s impressive in itself that Lauren Price has made a name for herself with a story she wrote when she was just a teenager.

Rereading this internet masterpiece is like stepping back into 2014, where Tumblr and being obsessed with horror movies made you dorky and a dweeb. The references to Doctor Who and Sherlock—not a soul could look over them. Oh, to be 11-years-old again and wishing I lived next door to a bad boy. Ever since Cherry_Cola_x (or as the new and improved Lauren Price), it’s all a girl could ever want.

“You love me really.” Alec leans slightly closer. “More than Minnie loves Mickey.”

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I first read this book ages ago on Wattpad and all I remembered was the giddy feeling of crushing on yet another dark haired, blue eyed bad boy with a good heart. Years later and I was feeling nostalgic, wanting to reread an old Wattpad favorite so I just had to get the ebook.

Was this book the best book ever written? No.
Was the writing of the highest standard? No.
Was the plot incredibly original? No.

But the book was so very relatable - every girl I know has had a moment in her life where she crushed on the cute bad boy and secretly hoped something would happen. We’ve all also made mistakes and have felt guilty or ashamed over them, etc etc. In short, the characters are extremely relatable and the writing makes it easy for you to connect to the story.

I felt all of the emotions throughout the story (that second hand embarrassment will have me cringing for weeks 😂) and I’m so happy I decided to reread, it was exactly what I needed! A light hearted love story with the bad boy next door 🥰
