I'm determined to have a child, which means one week in one bed. With an alien.
According to the Xilan-Earth agreement, I'll belong to Prince Vikar, a seven-foot-tall, scaly blue alien, for one week. In exchange for giving him whatever he needs, this cocky "prince" assures me I'll return to Earth with a child on the way. But when the space station's attacked and alien spiders try to steal me, Vikar and I must flee the station.
Then he tells me that once we get away, he's not sending me back...
Alien Prince’s Bride is Book 2 in the Fated Mates of the Xilan Warrior Series. This book offers aliens who look and act alien, heat, and a guaranteed happily ever after.
AVA ROSS fell for men with unusual features when she first watched Star Wars, where alien creatures have gone mainstream. She lives in New England with her husband (who is sadly not an alien, though he is still cute in his own way), her kids, and assorted pets, including a yorkie pup and three cats.
The following ratings are out of 5: Romance: ❤️💙💜💚 Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙 World building: 🌏🌍🌏🌍🌎 Character development: 😠☺️😋😍 Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙 Narration Type: Dual Narration
The heroine:Avery - She is one of Lydia’s three best friends who all wanted babies and signed up for the Xilan slaking program. Avery was selected for one of the first waves of the program along with her three friends based on matching up Xilan male and human female fertility times. Avery is a strong and independent female. Her parents died within days of each other and she sees having a baby as a way for them to live on.
The Hero:Prince Vikar - He is Gorok’s best friend. Gorok is the commander from the first book in this series. He is cocky and self-assured and wants to find a mate to bring home to Xilan even though he knows there is very little chance of finding a true mate among the human females.
The Story: A virus made most of the men on earth sterile and the women really started to feel their biological clocks ticking. So, when an alien species called the Xilan, whose women were mostly decimated in a war, contacted earth to tell them their males go through a “Slaking” every three years where they are basically in heat. They need females to slake their desires during that time and they promised to give those females children in exchange since it was the males fertile time.
The human females and Xilan males meet at a neutral space station and stay for a week during the slaking. However, when that space station is overrun with those same bug-like aliens who are intent on invading earth, the Prince and Avery end up fleeing the station. The romance and steamy scenes were not unlike the first book in the series, as is the space station setting and the fact that it was attacked. However, in the first book the two main characters were stuck on the station fighting with the bugs, while in this one, they escaped and had a wholly different type of adventure in space.
This book is told in dual points of view via dual narration and was narrated by Felicity Munroe and Stephen Dexter. I really enjoy both of these narrators especially for alien romance. They both show a lot of emotion through their voices and are each able to do numerous voices for different characters. I have listened to them quite a bit in the past and both always do a terrific job. The romance was pretty good and the intimate scenes were quite steamy, though if I ever hear the words “Bulbous tip” again it will be too soon.
✨ “I am yours, lenixe. Everything I am belongs solely to you.” ~~~ Avery is great! She’s one very independent woman. And I loved her kindness and thoughtfulness. Even more, I loved that she was not a helpless damsel in distress and was very brave when facing so many dangers. He’s so awesome!
And Prince Vikar is one amazing male! I loved his fierce protectiveness, strength, confidence, devotion and possessiveness. He’s absolutely magnificent!
I loved everything that happened between Vikar and Avery. Both have lost a lot and were dealing with grief in very different ways. But their chemistry was amazing and the passion they shared was sizzling hot. I loved how well they complemented each other. They were truly a great match!
Even more, we have Floof! Oh, I loved Floof!
In addition, the worldbuilding, as always, was fantastic! I loved the new world we got to explore with all its uniqueness and dangers.
Overall, the story is another marvellous addition to the series. It’s filled with fast-paced action, danger, suspense, twists, humor, steamy romance and wonderful characters.
I loved it and cannot wait to see what happens next! ~ I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Avery has lost everything that she ever loved and she because of this she will not let herself become close to anyone other than her three best friends. They have a Musketeers type pact where they are all for one and one for all. In this case they are all for having an alien baby since the men on Earth can no longer provide this. So this is how she finds herself in a very small gown going into a room of 7ft scaled and horned males waiting for one of them to pick her. She's not keen on the possessive type and yet this seems to be who she attracts although she has to admit that he does have a certain way with him. Vikar is a prince no less and he too has lost everything but instead of keeping people out he wants to open himself up to more in the hopes of finding love to heal the hurt. He is something of a romantic at hearts I think, but all that pales into inconsequence when he first sets eyes on Avery. He feels the mate symbol burn on him and knows that she is it for him but they have only agreed to be together for a week and he needs her forever. He may be a prince but that will mean nothing if he cannot convince her to stay with him, which all seemed to be going quite well until the station that they are on is attacked. They have been together for about an hour or so, not exactly the best start and will they even survive the attack? Lots of drama, action, steam and the Floof!
This book 2 in The Fated Mates of the Xilan Warriors Book Series was interesting with well-thought out scenes, unique characters and believable interactions. These characters have interesting wills, unique personalities and engaging histories. This engaging story has the following: intrigue, twists, turns, adventure, action, danger, love, steam and a HEA. It's a fast-paced and engaging throughout. This was a very well-written story by one of my favorite authors, Ava Ross.
This was such a great read! It really filled in more details around the attack of the space station and yet made it all feel like new news. The characters were wonderful - she was not a damsel but she was kind and caring, and he was just so protective and loving. There are plenty of twists in this story and I was certainly on the edge of my seat throughout. Everything felt more intense in this read and I'm loving the reading experience I'm getting with this series. Good fun!
This is the story of Avery and Vikar. It’s fantastic and well written. It’s also at times dangerous with action, some very close calls, steamy scenes, fated mates and a happily ever after ending. The characters and storyline are awesome and I can’t wait for the next book.
Avery signed up to spend one week with an alien during his slaking and in exchange she gets to come home pregnant, something she’s wanted for a while. Now the time has come to be chosen by a male and boy did she gets a good one. Vikar is strong, handsome and has a big horn, pun intended. Just as they are getting to the good part there’s an attack on the space station. Their enemies have followed them. Vikar, Avery, her friend Rose and her alien male all get to their ship but soon after leaving it comes under attack. They escape through the escape pods and aim for one of the nearby moons. As soon as they land they know something has gone wrong. They are separated from the others and on the wrong moon. There’s an abandoned shelter, they just have to make it there. They make it but it’s a very close call and it’s not as safe as what they think. Vikar sends a message to His planet but they won’t arrive for a week. With nothing else to do they decide to get on with baby making and getting to know each other, because Avery is his fated mate and he’s not letting her go back to Earth if he can help it.

A disease has left all human men sterile. There is still some sperm banks but the price is out of reach for most human women. Then Earth gets a message from an alien race. Xilan warriors propose a deal because they have lost most of their females. Xilin warriors go through a heat cycle every three years and they need a week of intense sexual encounters. This is called the slaking. They offer human women a chance to go through slaking with their men. Since the two species are compatible, the woman will most likely come home pregnant. Avey and her friends really want a baby of their own so they are some of the first volunteers. Avery has had a bad time with love in the past so she refuses to let any man close to her. This arrangement is perfect for her. Besides she is up for a hot week in bed. The Xilin who picks her is super hot and tells her he is Prince Vikar. Their wooing is going well until the alarms go off and all he!! breaks out. Avery has to depend on Vikar to protect her.
Vikar was just hoping to get some help through his Slaking. He didn't expect to find his destined mate. Avery is beautiful but insistant on sticking to the contract. Somehow he is going to have to convince her to return to his planet with him. First though they will have too survive their crash landing on a hostile moon.
I really liked this story. It was entertaining and, enjoyable, and different. The characters were interesting and likable. Floof was the absolute best! Avery was positive that she only wanted to enter the Slaking for a baby but she wasn’t prepared for Vikar or the way she felt when she was around him. Vikar needed to fulfill his Slaking but when he met Avery he knew she was more to him than just a partner. Avery was aware that their anatomical differences were workable but wasn’t prepared for what Vikar was hiding from her. Their relationship got a jumpstart and then they were interrupted. There was some drama and a tiny bit of angst but it was exciting. I liked how the story ended but I do wish that there was an epilogue or something further out. I recommend reading this book.

As in the first story it's starts off with Avery meeting her match who just so happens to be Xilan's crown Prince. Avery has see a lot of tragedy and heartache and is seriously afraid of giving her heart and love to someone only to see it stolen away. What she wants is a baby to love not a mate of romance. Too bad care has something else I store for her. Vikar is the crown Prince and a warrior, he needs a female to wake with and then back off to battle he will go. That is until he meets Avery. Once he sets his eyes on the earth female he knows not only with she said his mating urges she is his true fated match. Now he Muppet convince her of that as well. He wants everything with her. Ahh but the course of true love never runs smoothly! The station is attacked by the enemy all hell breaks loose and these two must stay alive and come to grips with a love that won't be denied. Excellent story and I'm looking forward to the next! Highly recommend!🔥💖 🔥💖🔥💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖
This book had so much going for it, from fed ated mates to so much action and adventures to steamy love scenes. Avery is fearful of letting anyone into her heart for the fear of losing them like she l ok st her parents. But when she meets a sweet understanding and proctive Vikar, her walls slowly melts away. Vikar knows at once that every is his fated mate and does what ever it takes to claim her and protect her from all dangers they face.

... "I must win not only her body but her spirit too."
Vikar and his people understand loss, on a planet-wide level, it's why they came to Earth looking for women to bear their children.
By a twist of fate, human women were looking for men to father their children, but that's all Avery is looking for. She knows the pain, and heart deep hurt you risk when you love.
This done in one Kindle Unlimited quick read has a fun sense of humor, a gal who keeps her head when the sky is falling, and an all around enjoyable story about discovering why forever is worth the risks.
A disease has left all human men sterile and since human women still eat babies, Xilan warriors are happy to accommodate. As long as the warriors get to go through slaking and since the two species are compatible, the woman will most likely go back to Earth pregnant. But little do the warriors know, some of these women are their destined mates. Prince Vikar, a Xilan warrior, and Avery are destined mates and now on the run from creatures. With their bond growing stronger, they are fighting together. The book has steam, twists, action, some drama, and so much more. You can read this and book one for free with your Kindle Unlimited subscription. This is an awesome seres.

Avery just wants to have a baby. She and some of her friends are the first human females to sign up to help Xilan males with their Slaking. Avery is told that after a week with Prince Vikar Escilair, who wants to speak with her first, she will become pregnant but Vikar recognizes that she is his fated mate. But their courtship ends with the station being attacked. Now Vikar and Avery leave in an escape pod but end up crash landing on the wrong moon. There is plenty of action, danger, and steam. Will Avery stay with Prince Vikar when her week is over? Will they get their HEA? I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
He’s Offering Forever…Is She Willing To Take It? 🤔
Oh boy, these Xilan guys are not afraid to go after what they want. Avery and Vikar’s story was an action packed addition to this series, and somehow these books just keep getting better. Avery may have gone into this arrangement just for a baby, but it’s hard to resist an alien warrior who claims you’re his mate and starts campaigning for your heart. The twists and turns were unpredictable, and had me on pins and needles for most of the book lol. I also loved getting to see another couple’s viewpoint during the invasion of the space station. It was all connected so amazingly well with the 1st book, without feeling repetitive, and still made me feel like it was all new content that I’d never heard of. Can’t wait for the 3rd book!!!

Wow!!! This was such a great story about Avery who is a human & Vikar who is the prince of the Xilan Warriors. Avery only wants a baby, Vikar knows she is his fated mate. They start on the space station but end up on a foreign planet that is inhospitable. They have challenges in store for them, but in the end, they form a bond that is unbreakable.
I was given an advanced copy of this book to read and review with my honest and fair opinion.
Ava Ross another incredible story! This series great!
Prince Vikar and Avery meet on his Xilan planet for a week. The females can't get pregnant and the males need earth females since there aren't enough females on Xilan for the men when they go thru the slaking, where the men mate for a week, every three years. The problems aren't tag the aliens but the giant killer spiders and animals that are constantly are attacking.
Awesome read! Lots of action, loving, and humor. One of the funniest things I’ve ever read is: Vikar’s “tool’s” motto - procreate even when we are about to be eaten. ;) Alien Prince’s Bride is excellent. Enjoy
Enjoyed very much. Very few typos, great descriptions for characters and fun details. Read on Kindle unlimited but plan to buy a copy and read others in series.
With tons of action and excellent characters, this story line will pull the reader right in and keep you there! Prince Vikar and Avery, according to a Xilan-Earth agreement, are in a contract to have a child. But the space station where they are meeting for this comes under attack by insectoid creatures. The two of them use an escape pod to evacuate the station, and then must survive together. Their mating bond grows stronger. If they survive, she will not be going home to Earth if her mate can convince her otherwise!
This was a fun story line that actively involved the reader and delivered a very engaging story. Grab your copy and join the excitement!
This series has been so great to read. I started off reading it in Kindle Vella but was so happy to see it was moving into Kindle Unlimited. Vikar and Avery were so good together. She has been through some heartache and I think Vikar was a great balance to that. I think he helped her with moving past being so alone. As with the previous book, we see lots of action from the Xilan’s enemies but this was done so different as these two were able to get off the space station and onto a planet. It's been a joy to read this author's work and I can't wait it get the next installment.

I love the works of this author! Her books tend to take me far away and I get totally engrossed from beginning to end. In this book the Prince of Xilinx has met his mate Avery. While the Prince recognizes her as his Fated Nate, Avery is only there for a baby. It takes being attacked by vicious spider aliens, crash landing on a deserted planet for Avery to learn to trust and open her heart to the Prince. (sigh) It was so sweet.
Fantastic alien sci-fi romance with Avery and Prince Vikar. A virus swept through earth making all of the men infertile so an agreement was made between Earth and the Xilan’s their males went into heat every 3 years and their women were killed in a war so the agreement was made the Xilan’s had human females for a week which would get them pregnant. Now Avery was in a space station waiting to meet Prince Vikar but things don’t go as planned when Prince Vikar takes Avery and he tells her that he’s not taking her back to earth. Fantastic story I loved it and I highly recommend this book.
Alien Prince’s Bride is Book 2 in the Fated mate series by Ava Ross this is a great addition to this amazing series. Prince Vikar and Avery are so right for each other, I love how Ava pulls us into the story. Filled with action, suspense, alien spiders, romance and a HEA. I look forward to each release from Ava Ross as her books take alien romance to different level. These books should be read in order to grasp the world of the Xilan Warriors. It is Christmas Eve, give yourself the gift of a great alien read and a new series to enjoy!!
Avery and her friends decided to sign up to have babies by Xilan warriors. After arriving at the spaceport, she was taken to a room where the warriors waited and would choose the woman they wanted. Avery was chosen by the Prince of the Xilan planet. Vikar and Avery hit it off. The way he treated her, made her believe in a forever kind of love. Follow Avery and Vikar and Floof as they battle Yuris and predators on the small moon while waiting on help. Guaranteed HEA.

Now this story has a fiesty, knows what she wants, and a drive to stick with it to get what she deserves main female character (aka Avery). And, boys does Avery get stuck with it....pun intended 😂. The romance and spicy scenes with Vikkar were hot hot hot, and I for one did not expect anything less from Ross. It was quite the interesting journey for both Avery and Vikkar, there was action, drama, and of course romance. From start to finish, this was a page-turner. It was a delight to read and one I know I'll enjoy re-reading.
The second book in the Fated Mates of the Xilan Warriors series. I enjoyed reading Prince Vikar and Avery's story of suspense, drama, danger, villains, and romance. the story was well worth reading. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I must say I’m really enjoying this series from Ava Ross. There are a lot of perilous adventures which makes it exciting as well as a tough and feisty heroine who won’t take anything off an alpha alien male. Of course there’s some hot scenes but there’s also a story. I hope there’s an epilog in the last book that shows their future. I can’t wait for the next one.
