I could not put this book down. Sad situations that you know existed and probably still do . I have read all the books in this series and I cannot tell you how I felt sad that the book ended but Looking forward to book 10. Only thing I didn’t like was that since so many characters keep getting added, I had to keep looking at the list of people but it did get better. Great book!!!
I waited and waited for this book to come out and was excited when it was finally released. I was not disappointed!! It was exciting and heartbreaking. There are cruel people in this world but there are also those who care deeply. Thank God for those who care.
She is a wonderful story teller. She writes characters that pull you into their story and don't let go. Her plots are interesting and flow seamlessly from one book to the next. BUT,,her books are riddled with editorial errors. They are so numerous that you can only conclude that not only does she not self edit but she doesn't have someone else edit for her. Sloppy mistakes,,,for instead of four,,,Elsa patted Cupid on the head and rewarded him with a tail wag ( I got a visual of Elsa twerking for the dog and just WHY,,,just instance after instance of silly mistakes that should Never have made it to the publishing phase. I can't account for it. These books are filled with people who pray all day every day no exceptions. They quote scripture at the drop of a hat. Chapter and verse. If you are secure in your faith it becomes a lot really quickly,, I've chosen to just swipe until she steps away from the pulpit and pick the story up from there. If I were without a relationship with the most high she would scare me. She water boards you with the WORD,,,just swipe. I don't know if this review will be helpful but I had to get it off my chest. The final analysis,,,, good story's,,ok writing.
I have eagerly awaited the release of this book, 9th in the series. It was worth the wait! I have thoroughly enjoyed going back in time and finding such full characters and their stories of struggles and triumphs. I am not a reader of “romance” novels, yet I am glad I found this author as her books are so much more than that. I know she is working on the next two novels for which I am so relieved that I will have the opportunity to spend more time with the people I have come to know.
I love this series so far. Can't wait for books 10 & 11 to come out. I had a hard time dealing with the terrible editing. Not only are there so many missions g words throughout but someone is comma crazy....meaning there were so many commas that were not needed. Also, the word and was way over used.
A wonderful book of love and new beginnings after two girls suffer physical and emotional abuse - including being overworked and underfed. When the girls flee their family home they find help from a couple who shows them that God truly loves them which gives them newfound hope for the life they deserve.
I can’t wait for book 10 and many more ..these books are epic..I am so moved with each character the good and the bad..such excellent character development , you must write many more
I just love the characters of this book. It’s an enjoyable read. Could not put it down!! I did miss Clive a little in this book, he didn’t make many appearances :) he is my favorite.
This book is one of the best in the series. Leah’s details and descriptions of people, places and the everyday tasks in a frontier town are truly a delight that keeps her audience wanting more. I couldn’t stop reading. I can’t wait for book 10.
Most everyone has some things in their past they wish weren’t there. Some have dealt with it and moved on. Some are still stuck. This particular book makes it real. The way they help each other is beautiful.
This series of books held my attention from the first sentence. Ms. Banicki captures the wagon trail journey wonderfully and continues on with the lives of each character. I am looking forward to book 10. I highly recommend this series of books. D. Bass
Good historical read about life in early Oregon territory
This is a good read for anyone that wants to know how life use to be back in the 1800s. People cared about others and believed in God. There were hardships, but it has made the country what it is
For so many women life was hard. The inhumane treatment of people down on the luck or sold for money. Parts of this story tells of the hardships of this treatment. Other parts talk friendships found, loved and came up from the ash.
I have enjoyed every book in this series they are an illustration of how God's love takes us from ruin to joy in his protection. Keep up the good work!
Most of the characters in 1-9 books have some kind of closure for now but with every good soap, the story goes on. We have to wait just a bit for book 10.
I have enjoyed reading the Wildflowers books and looking forward to #10. The books have several characters and all have a good Christian message. I encourage you to read!
A fantastic author who is writing wholesome stories of the inhabitants of Oregon. It is so refreshing to read a novel based on Christian beliefs and bible scriptures.
