The first 13 chapters of ACOMAF told from Rhys's POV. Includes some brief details of his three months without her after he comes home from UtM and some improvised scenes, but most of it concerns his time with Feyre.
Wow! So, this reads so exactly like the original. I'm very glad I decided to get my annual fix of Rhys in with this fanfic. After I have read "A Court of Mist and Fury" about 20 times and already know it by heart. This narrative from Rhys's POV is incredibly satisfying. It finally fills in the gaps that have always been there. And I can finally cry all over again. So beautifully sad and tragic. And I love Rhys even more.
Say the word and seal my death along with your own. Say the word, and I’ll die with you. It’s your choice. Whatever you want. No matter to what end it be, I will not only let you do it, but I’ll keep you company while you go. 🖤😭🖤😭🖤😭🖤😭🖤😭🖤
being immersed into the world again UGHHH it brings me back. i remember when i first read acotar, i would dream about velaris. not daydream, but these books infiltrated my subconscious. it was spectacular.
i love hearing the backstory to characters, and this was interesting to see the pain behind rhys in those first few months being free from utm. seeing his struggles, and him having an internal battle with keeping up his mask he was forced to present while being captive for 50 years… it really made me feel for him all over again.
this really brought me back and got me all in my feels, and im obsessed. acotar will always hold a special place in my heart as the series that got me back into fantasy 🦇✨
This is me fully cheating and using this "Part 1" as a proxy for the fact that I read the individual ACOTAR chapters from IllyrianTremors and I wanted record of it in my reading history. I did love both the ACOMAF and ACOTAR retellings. I just wish there was more!
DNF- this was a decent job by the author, but for me it seemed like they were working too hard at writing poetic prose, and using a thesaurus to try to come up with original metaphors and descriptors. I packed it in at "my shoulders gasped". I think if the author had stayed within their abilities, instead of trying to write like SJM, it would have read much better. I found myself just skipping over anything that wasn't dialog, at which point I realized I should just reread ACOMAF. There was clearly an ability to write, and practicing will improve that.
Read all of the Illyrian Tremors Rhys POV for ACOMAF- it was hard to stop reading. Once the Chapters were over, It was hard finding another writer that writes like SJM- This writer is skilled and really expressed and understood how Rhys and the brothers would respond/feel. I would definitely recommend to another reader.
🇺🇸I fell into the rabbit hole last night and decided to read this because I was missing Rhys and Feyre and ACOMAF and boy this was so so good. I’m in awe of the investment the author had to put in to writing this. I reread some chapters of ACOMAF in parallel and the work is astonishing, so very detailed. I will definitely read the next fic!
”I let go of her hand and stepped back, enjoying the way a stream of sunlight poured over her face in an intimate bath.
At long, long last, Feyre was home.”
yes this is only the first part of a 150+ words fanfic BUT STILL it got me giggling and kicking my feet 😊😊 being immersed in this world again felt like coming back home ughh I MISSED THEM SO MUCH!!! plus this reads just like the book and it’s really really well-written (dare i say it kinda matches SJM writing style) except for some grammatical mistakes but you know this is a fanfic it has no right to be this good!
this fanfic just proved what i already thought: rhysand is quite literally the best ever 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
”Say the word and seal my death along with your own. Say the word, and I'll die with you. It's your choice. Whatever you want. No matter to what end it be, I will not only let you do it, but I'll keep you company while you go.”
How I wanted to read the series for the first time once again, but this will do! I loved how this was written seamlessly as if this was always meant to be published along the original version of Feyre's POV. We've only started and it's already shaping up to be a heart wrenching one. I might not get out of this funk once I'm done with all the parts. Good luck to my sanity and emotional health, I guess hahaha
I just finished reading ACOMAF and stumbled on the knowledge of this written in the point of view of Rhysand. I was super intrigued to see what that side of things would look like and I really do like the spin on it, even if it is not from the original author. It could be better though, because some thoughts just seem to trail off and not actually complete themselves within this work. There are a few scenes when Feyre was not around, so it is newly imagined, which I enjoyed.
I'm going to give a review in the end. Besides that inhoud gewijs I like it so far! Ik merk wel een verschil met de schrijfstijl van Sarah J Maas but that's okay. benieuwd hoe het nog vordert :)))
So given that this is a fan fic I didn’t expect too much from it. There were spelling and grammatical errors galore, and some parts were downright confusing to read through. Obviously having read ACOMAF, I could piece it together in those times. But I have to say, this was lovely to read!! I always like reading from the man’s perspective and Illyrian Tremors did not disappoint! Will definitely finish the other parts.
Holy guacamole. I’m re reading the ACOTAR series (for the third time) given book 6 is enroute. I thought I’d read this after reading the original ACOMAF and I just WISH I read other reviews to tandem read this version WITH the original ACOMAF. That would have been a dream.
I’m obsessed. This is well written, exactly how I’d imagine our darling Rhys to be.
10/10 but pls, do your self a favour and tandem read with ACOMAF if you are re reading this series !!!
Anything to be within the ACOTAR universe just that little bit longer!
A really nice interpretation of Rhysand's POV coving the first few months after the events under the mountain to Feyre choosing to leave the Spring Court.
I just can't leave these characters, I know I'm going to like the next part.

i was not expecting the writing in this to be so similar to sjm! it was so so interesting reading this to fill in blanks that readers miss out on in acomaf. and also just reading from rhys's pov and him KNOWING they're mates was mind-blowing. it changes the way i think about acomaf. this was a nice little filler, and i will be continuing to read these in between books. i definitely recommend.
