Life was good until that one day everything went to hell...
Waking up in the hospital, Indi still held hope that he would be able to see after the blast that put him there. No such luck. Still blind. Once out of the hospital, he leaves everything and everyone behind and moves on into a world of darkness.
Clay has always loved Indi, but his deceit has the other members of their mercenary team feeling awkward and frankly not cool with what Clay is doing — hooking up with Indi as a rent boy without revealing his true identity.
Kidnapping. Intrigue. Badass comrades. Get ready for Indigo and Clay in Xposed!
Okay, okay, okay. So, this book was bad. I love reading about hot ex-military men- especially if they have some sort of injury or disability and are total badasses which, in Indi's case, is going blind after a job gone wrong. This had so much potential! It was funny and could have been a nice, low angst or even angstier read with a lot more feeling or just really sweet!!!
But nOoOoOoo...What made this read especially bad was that... 1. The editing was crap and some things did NOT make sense to me; 2. It kept switching from Indi's pov to the third person to Clay's and so on and so forth and whatever this was; 3. Indi going from a surly, fatalistic bastard to tears and blushing and "I LOVE HIM!" was tew much!!! I didn't so much mind Clay's total 180 because, straight guys🙄, am I right? BUT it could have been handled so much better!
Now with that out of the way... I HAD SO MUCH FUN READING THIS! 🤣🤣🤣 I really enjoyed the crazy, ridiculous nonsense and it would have been 4 stars if the point of view wasn't so fucked and some care would have been taken to properly develop the characters' progress. Now, I saw that there was another one, probably before this with Hawk and Atlas' story (Xtasy) so I'm going for it, but it'll probably be just as bad...or worse😭 But at least I'll more than likely have FUN!!!
I really liked the premise of this story but I was a tad disappointed in the execution. TS McKinney has written some excellent books like Sub Mission so I was expecting better. It's still a good read just a little awkward, in some places the dialogue wasnt natural and corny. The sex scenes were decent but again not what I've come to expect from this author.
The constant POV switch gave me whiplash. Then the personality change of both MC's threw me off. The premise had potential but somehow the story train derailed for me.
Sky is my favorite! Totally beast that dog is! Clay and Indi are pretty awesome too. A quick read with some mystery and some twists you don't see coming.
