Winter's Thorn #3

Revendiquer une faë

Rate this book

What a fascinating read and a epic ending we all needed. It was non stop action from the get go, the suspense was all consuming, and the intrigue was off the hook. Secrets were revealed and tests must be faced. Talk about all the twist and turns that occurred as well boy we were on a emotional rollercoaster. But I enjoyed everything about it overall a enjoyable and entertaining read. As always my review are totally voluntarily and no monetary compensation was received and the opinions I have expressed are my own.

Guen is going to have to work hard for a happy ever after! As a fae lost in the human world, then returned to her fae world, Guen has an incredible journey and it all ends here. I thought that there were too many lose ends to tie up for it to be done in a way that didn't feel rushed - I was wrong, as always Mila Young manages to craft a wonderful book and wrap everything up in a satisfying and unhurried way. Full of action and bad guys - this one will keep you turning the pages late into the night! The 3 princes and Guen have had an amazing journey and I loved this ending, even if im super sad to see them go!

Enchanting Ending

What an enchanting ending to the Winter's Thorn series. 😍 To Claim a Fae picks up right where the last book left off and the momentum never slows. It's a non stop adventure from start to finish and poor Guen just can't seem to get a break. All secrets are revealed and there's a few twists in there too, just to keep you right on the edge of your seat. It peaks with an action packed, heart stopping showdown between all the important players, and we get a very satisfying HEA. I've loved this series so much, it's my favourite from this author to date, don't pass it up.

To Claim a Fae is the third and final book in Mila Young's Winter's Thorn series. The author picks this book up where book two left off and progresses forward with the characters. Turmoil strikes in the form of the King's death. He dies without knowing the truth of Guen being his daughter and she herself is heartbroken with the knowledge that he will never know. Now, Ahron must claim the throne or lose it to another who would cast him and his family out. The catch? He has to marry a royal. As far as he knows Guen isn't one so he believes that he must choose another who is not Guen. What will truly happen to them?
To Claim a Fae has it's good points and then it's down points. I loved the intrigue of the court and the danger that swirls around the characters. The political intrigue of the court always pulls me into the story especially when a character hasn't been immersed in it all their life like Guen. Now, while I do enjoy Guen's naivety of the court I think that she should have used some common sense in certain aspects. Her father has just died, she should have gone to the throne room at the beginning instead of waiting, going, essentially just making an appearance and then turning around leaving again. It made no sense to me. She doesn't do anything. She simply goes, sees the scene playing out of the King laid out, dead, and then notices the one person who openly despises her and then leaves. I was disappointed because it felt it made her look weak.
There are quite a few secrets in this book as well between the characters. It kinda made me become annoyed with them because it created misunderstandings and scenarios of drama that could have been easily avoided if they had just been honest with each other. I enjoyed the romance, but the unnecessary confusion just made me get annoyed with the characters.
I am rating this book 4 out of 5 stars. Readers get a HEA and a nice wrap up of the storyline. Most to all questions are answered and things get wrapped up neatly to close the storyline out. This isn't my favorite series by this author but it does have good moments scattered throughout.

We finally get a scene with all 4 of them together.. but it's in the bonus scene after the story ends!!

There is a lot to unpack here. I had a feeling her mom was from the ash court and now that I know the king got the stone for his daughter, I have a feeling he knew that night or at least suspected he knew who she was. I would imagine him knowing his daughter would have a connection to the Faeries and seeing her with the Faerie starting his suspicion. Then seeing her, she probably looked like her mom, which would've been his love... sooo I am pretty sure that night he spent with her, he had to of known.

God this was emotional though. When Aheryn pushed her away to marry someone else. .. I kept yelling TELL THEM WHO YOUR FATHER IS!!! YOU ARE A PRINCESS!!! but it all worked out in the end how it was suppose to. Although, heart breaking while you are getting through it. God it was so close too.

I really did enjoy this. I wished for more group scenes though. Like I said before...why write a RH if you not going to throw them all together???

*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

Mila has done it again!! This one fantastic conclusion to what has been an amazing trilogy. Guen is reeling after the death of the King (who was her real father though he didn't know who she was when they met). This has thrown the whole kingdom into a tailspin but especially Ahron who has to take the throne. The glitch is that he has to marry royalty to do so which he believes means Guen is not an option. Add in some secrets they are not aware of though and it changes everything as the truth comes out leading to one explosive yet satisfying ending. A total must read for fans of Fae and reverse harem. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.

Guen's future completely changes when the King is murdered. The kingdom is in chaos, and she is losing one of the sexy princes that she loves so much. To top it off, her powers are out of control. It doesn't help when one of the court mages is snooping around. Guen only wants to be with the fae she loves, but she will have to fight to the death for them.

This is the amazing conclusion to the Winter's Thorn series. Hard and fast action with danger lurking around every corner. And, oh, the hot princes. I love each one. I can understand how Guen gets so weak in the knees! Lots of twists and turns. This series was so much fun. Highly recommended to every reader who loves paranormal fantasy romances.

Not so bad end

Finally all the secrets are revealed! It was time!
The book ends with a big HEA but I don't understand (!!!spoiler!!!) why the author ends the story at the beggining of the only one group sex scene??? It doesn't make sense. Group sex is one of the main characteristic of RH and readers love that kind of book for this! It's clearly a big mistake of the author to have cut this scene.
Globally, the end is rather cheesy and the FMC becomes a bit corny.
The scene in the throne room which is full of suspense, actions and bit of humor, is captivating. It kept me awake at night, I couldn't stop reading!
Good end for a serie which didn't convince me at all.

Not sure why I couldn't get on board with this last book. I enjoyed the story though it was terribly predictable, the brothers were good, I just didn't connect with Guen as I found her really annoying and inconsistent. She comes across as very immature and ingenious, then suddenly she drops the "f-bomb" and it's like hearing your dear sweet Granny swear - inappropriate! As for implying that someone breaking down in tears and someone smashing something in anger is the same thing...... Really? All in all too "twee" for my taste I'm afraid.

A great continuation.
The book takes of right where the last one ended. The story continues being an adventure. There is no time to get bored with this story. It has secrets, twists, turns, steamyness and it is all packet into this amazingly written plot.

The characters are still greatly described. I get annoyed with them, I love them, I have them.... I generally feel whatever emotion Guen feels (I hope, otherwise I way misunderstood her feelings), it makes the story come alive.

Definitely worth a read.

Loved this series!

I have been absolutely addicted to these books the last few days! Mika Young pulls you into the Wandering Realm quickly, and doesn’t let you go. Every detail is described perfectly, clear down to the food on the table. You truly get attached to the characters and their unique personalities, and feel the emotional rollercoaster they embark on as if you were standing their with them. I really appreciated the bonus at the end that’s projected 5 years out, as it really helped put the final wrap up on the whole thing.

When it seemed that there was going to be a light in her path, there was a drastic change for Guen and not for the better. The action escalates, the suspense escalates, and the intrigue seems to be all-consuming. Secrets are revealed and tests must be faced. Can our heroine and. her princes overcome the evil that hangs over them? Strong emotions, darkness, wicked villains, violence, magic, romance and lot of passion. Liked the exciting plot development that kept me reading avidly

This series is absolutely amazing. Once you start reading I have no doubt that you will absolutely not only enjoy the story but also the characters. Guen only wants her sexy fae men but someone won’t let that happen. Secrets are revealed and what a secret it is. Complete game changer. I’m sad to see this series end because it was such an amazing journey. How Mila writes this series, it makes you wish that you were there. Another phenomenal series that everyone should definitely one click ASAP.

Beyond amazing! This series has blown me away and this ending is perfect. Answers are given but lead to some interesting and dangerous twists. Guen is one hell of a woman. She is strong and has not let the pain and pressure destroy who she is. Her three princes would die for her and are so devoted to her. I can’t say enough about how great the story is. I got so emotional while reading it that I had to stop at times and take a breath.

This book was amazing, I though that the first two were amazing this one OMG, was even more amazing. It moves along at a very comfortable reading speed, has amazing characters that you cannot help but fall in love with and want to see overcome everything in their way. This was a great series! This third and final installment was such a great read.
We all love a happy ending but the angst that Guen and her men had to go through to finally to have what their hearts desired kept you on your toes.
Thank you Mila for gifting us with such a great tale of Love, Loss and Battles in between for the happily ever after.

Amazing series each book starts where the previous book stopped. This last book ties up the loose ends and has you at the edge of your seat. Guen is an amazing character she goes through so much that most people would have just given up and she continues to fight and stays strong. I absolutely love this book and recommend it to everyone.

Ok read

I had high hopes for an epic ending. But, I found the first half of the book to be annoying. The main characters where all whiny and keeping stupid secrets. I found myself skipping many parts. Definitely could have been better, I kept waiting for Guen to take her power and accept het place.

Great conclusion

Mila did it again with the finale to the series. I adored this book and was even sucked in and emotionally invested during a lot of the scenes. I love this series and recommend it to anyone looking for a great Fae story. All the steam and sexy dominant mates included.

A fantastic ending!

I love this series! Three hot fae men and a fiesty FMC who grows into herself as the story goes on. The storyline is exciting and unpredictable with some twists you don't see coming! All in all, this book is worth all the praise I can give! Will definitely re-read.

I DEVOURED THIS BOOK!

So good! The true example of great closure of a series is being able to reveal all the conflicts, and sort out the resolutions, however that may be. This book completely shattered me with the development of the story, and then funneled all of my emotions into a wonderful ending!! Highly recommend this series!!

Loved this entire series!

I couldn’t stop reading these books! You have to read them. You are sucked into this strange new world and constantly trying to figure it all out with the FMC Guen. The princes are amazing and infuriating at the same time. This story is amazing from start to finish.

What a great series this has been and I really am going to miss it. We have met some amazing characters in this series and in the end all works out well. Guen has certainly been on a journey throughout this series and whilst I thought that there was a lot to tie up and this book would be rushed I was proven wrong. An amazing series that I can highly recommend.
