The Illuminated Tarot Guidebook goes beyond the keywords, inspiring readers to expand their interpretation of The Illuminated Tarot deck's images. The guidebook includes an introduction from the deck's creator, historical background on tarot and cartomancy, and an overview of the deck's structure and relationship to traditional 78-card tarot decks. Each card description includes the inspiration behind each image, a shorthand Quick Reading based on the card’s suit and number, a Traditional Reading based on the corresponding card(s) from the Rider-Waite-Smith deck, and questions for reflection.

Bought this to accompany my Illuminated Tarot deck. The actual deck came with a mini guidebook which I thought was insufficient since this wasn't your standard tarot deck. The explanations were written clearly but it's definitely a guidebook that requires many re-reads. I wished the illustrations were in colour though to match the vibrancy of the actual deck.
Having much enjoyed the Illuminated Tarot deck, this guidebook perfectly delivers in its promise of deepening one’s understanding of the deck and how it involves, incorporates, and in some places consolidates the Rider-Waite-Smith deck.
A cute rendition full of symbolism and creativity. It’s interesting to learn how tarot is all about interpretation and deciphering the relevance of each card to any situation or state in life, and not just a means of “predicting the future”.
