Healing is something which only Divine Mother does. Healing is something which only Mother Nature does. I am simply someone who is getting the opportunity to deliver some right messages. And that’s what it really is and that’s what I feel in my bone. I am not saying this to humour someone or to appear in a certain way; this is how I actually feel every single day.—Om SwamiHave you ever wondered what it would have been like to be born in the era of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, Buddha or other enlightened beings? Most of us have felt the sublime grace of God in our lives and yet, a lot of us have not known how everything stands still in the presence of an awakened being. We have heard but rarely witnessed how in the presence of a true master, our struggles and hardships dissipate like dew upon sunrise. Until now. In this book, people from diverse backgrounds share mystical and mind-boggling stories of miraculous events that have transpired in their lives with the advent of Om Swami. This is not some distant past but happening in front of you right now. Bear witness to the power of sadhana, tapas and truth. See for yourself what happens when you invoke the ancient mantras and put them to use.
One of my favourite part of the book is from the exclusive interview with him. Where Swamiji says" It's okay for people to listen to me,to read what I have to say. If they like what they hear, they can adhere to the advice. If they don't like it,they can chuck it, and it's perfectly okay. I think if people need to be anything, it's that they need to be a better version of themselves because there is so much beauty and joy to be discovered in doing that. And that is the true meaning of progress. I mean, progress is not liking or starting to feel like someone. Progress is 'Am I doing better than yesterday?' "
I have almost never cried while reading a book. But on reading this one, Multiple times I have found tears in my eyes, most of the times crying and longing for Om swami, sometimes crying in aww, sometimes in reverence. Also 13 months in Himalayas made me cry for him. I don’t want to say anything about the book as I dont think it is needed or even right for me to do so. Thank you for writing it. I am very grateful for everything in my life so far. Hence I know that someday I will be unbelievably fortunate to see him in person. Till then I shall continue to see him through books. I am very thankful to Sadhvi Vrinda, Swami Vedananda and others who let me see him through other angles as well. As we all know he is quite humble and modest in his own writings. So I would have never come across these episodes through his writings. Thanks a million to the authors🙏
These opinions are entirely my personal ones. I am NOT qualified or sufficiently knowledgeable to pass a comment on the validity of the contents of the book.
I love reading the books authored by Om Swami. They are concise, definitive and in my humble opinion the gold standard in terms of their content. Also, they deal with principles and not with religious beliefs.
This book, however is not written by him. When I purchased this book, I thought I would be reading about the spiritual aspects of a miracle and healing. The reviews of this book mislead me too. Upon reading, these are my thoughts.
The book appears to be written by those who are completely awestruck by the subject, to such an extent where after a point it almost reads like a propaganda material. Their is a distinct lack of maturity that reflects in the writing. It almost promotes the position of the main personality from being a man of principles and practice (that his own books portray him as) to that of a God-man. This book is almost a religious book which has moved away from the principles and practices that the Master, in his own books so beautifully portrays. If, for e.g. you read "A million thoughts", or "Mind full to Mindful", which are written by the Master himself, you will realize the way he keeps focusing on the principles instead of vouching for a religion. Instead this book keeps talking endlessly about diseases being cured, karma being washed off, money reaching someone's account without a rhyme or reason, marriages stuck for long being fixed over an evening. Once again, I am NOT questioning the validity of these occurrences. Miracles DO happen, but the way they have been extended and kept being talked about in this book, does reflect upon the maturity of the authors. If a certain word that has been used endlessly in this book, is collected from the entire composition and eliminated, the book will reduce to half in volume.
If you are one of those who are just looking forward to reading about endless miracles and predictions and healing, then do buy this book. If however your real desire is to go beyond the occurrences and understand the philosophy and spirituality behind these, then no, this book will disappoint you. It is my bad habit to write my name and the date of purchase immediately upon receiving a book, and hence I cannot return this book for a refund anymore.
This book has 13 soul-stirring stories and an exclusive interview with Om Swami.
Each story is written either by Swami's ardent devotees (and how they came to be part of his life) or by his disciples who live and serve him.
While reading these fascinating stories, I felt more lighter and grounded.
All these real-life incidents show the true power of divinity and spirituality, which are beyond gender, caste, class, status, country of birth, family background, and other man-made divisions.
I would highly recommend this book to be read to know more about this modern-day yogi and mystic who lives in the foothills of Himalayas.
I was pleasantly shocked to know he earns through writing books. So far, he's written 14 books. Do read his memoir 𝘐𝘧 𝘛𝘳𝘶𝘵𝘩 𝘉𝘦 𝘛𝘰𝘭𝘥 to know more about him.
Thanks @rupa_publications for sending me the physical copy of the book, which in itself was a miracle as I never ordered for this book, and never knew about Om Swami until reading this book and researching about him later.
You’ll likely find your Guru after reading this book
I have read all the books by Sadhvi Vrinda Om, and love all of them, but this one is my favourite.
They say that there are three major gifts that life can get you. One of them is meeting your Guru in physical form.
I was lucky to have a meeting with Om Swami (or Swamiji) in October 2021 in Sri Badrika Ashram, and can tell that it was one of the most special days in my life.
After finishing the book, I feel I miss Swamiji so much. And it was so much joy to get his audience and to feel his presence again through the stories in this book.
Inspired, I will be going to Sri Badrika Ashram in a few weeks time. Even though Swamiji is not in the Ashram at this time (as he spends summer months in solitude elsewhere), the fact that I can spend some time in that Devine place gives me so much joy.
To those who are looking for his/her Guru, Swamiji is the rare one, a true one (the real “deal”). Go read the book first, and you will see that for yourself.
If 'Om Swami as we saw him' was 1x. ' The book of faith' was 10x. This one is 100x , 100 times more bliss and love filled in every page. Pure spiritual light and delight! A must read for anyone and everyone to truly know one's own self, by knowing the inner workings of OmSwami.
As Sri M was to Sri Ramakrishna, So is Sadhvi Vrindha Om to Om Swami! Every Avatar has a scribe and so does Om Swami.
Thank you Sadhviji! for such a wonderful book sharing such wonderful insights about Swamiji!
The interview at the end couldn't get any better! Swamiji has covered the alpha and the Omega of existence in the mortal plane with this interview! Awesome! Simply Awesome! 🙏
Book is simply amazing.. Very nicely presents divine, healing and mystical aspects of Swamiji's personality hitherto unknown to the world. Interview at the end is definitely a jewel in the crown. Shows how great, powerful and at the same time how tranquil and humble one can be. Definitely a must read. Especially I recommend it be read after the memoir book, if truth be told. This book won't let you mistake Swamiji for a yet another common or usual renunciant having fulfilled most of earthly accomplishments.. but convinces of his compassionate, yogic and divine nature from beginning..
The Rainmaker is a journey of faith and belief written, in my belief, just to bring the followers of Om Swami more close to the divine personality. It presents a close view of the mystic who had presented himself to us through his work, "If truth be told." Viewing him through the eyes of those who remain close to him all the time and are ardent devotees of him as well. It also contains a one to one interview with Swami Ji along with interviews of different members of ashram as well.
It really presents the mystic view of great sage who appears to be another normal mystic in this modern world. It connects you to what Om Swami really is and what you can become in his shade. Namah.🙏
First of all , my Pranam to Sadhvi Ji to bring these kind of details to every disciple of Om Swami and to the world. Fortunate to get to access these details sitting far from him and Ashrama.
As best written in this book - we just think that he is just like another human like us but truth is beyond reach.
My humble request please write big books like it will take atleast 2 weeks to read .once I start reading I would finish it in no time worrying and seeing how much % left to read in my kindle . 😊
The book is a series of anecdotes narrated by those who were, at some point in time, profoundly touched by Om Swami's grace. The stories are eye openers for those of us who are not aware of what a Guru's grace or an abundance of devotion can do. To those of us who have some measure of what is possible in the presence of Grace, these are shining examples. Reading the book is enjoyable, to say the least. The writing is sincere and seems to be heartfelt. Through the stories, we also get a glimpse of the otherwise reclusive Om Swami's personality...
Loved the stories. The road to truth and divine leads to Swami Ji.
The stories of the devotees were so amazing, so beautiful. It overflowed my heart with love, devotion and surrender. Sadhvi Ji has weaved the stories together so well. Will look forward to read more such stories in future books ! It never gets tiring to read what Swami Ji has to say and the interview was amazing.
Stories about the life of the enlightened monk Om Swami, told from the side of his relatives and close people. It is difficult to describe the book without spoilers, some stories seem even mystical. But I know from my own experience that everything described may well be true, and I believe them. A good book to start getting to know Om Swami, the enlightened one, who is not some old boring dull man, but a fairly young specialist in the IT field, who was going towards his dream.
For the non-believer, a lot of the stories may be fiction BUT for a believer and someone who has experienced the beauty, joy and miracles of Om Swami ji, there is nothing in this book that even remotely seems unbelieveable… Om Swami ji is a mystery to all yet to me, His beauty, energy, love and compassion is second to none in this Universe. Sadhvi ji… Thank you for marvelously bringing the stories to life and making us feel that we were part of it. Will wait for your next book with more stories and experiences … I am never going to be tired of listening and reading about the greatest siddha in creation!
I have got to develop a new perspective about Om Swami’s persona. I was familiar with his exceptional preachings, incredible traits and empathy but never knew about his superpowers. This book has a completely different dimension to it. I revered him after reading ‘If Truth be Told’ and I admire him after reading ‘The Rainmaker.’
What I loved most were there stories by Vidu SWAMI. He shed light on how Swamiji expressed his care and love towards other people (from hotel staff to other devotees) and how meticulous he is.
Thanks to all the authors for sharing stories that inspire us
So many things can be gleaned from just the interviews alone at the end. I have a feeling I'll return to reading the interview section each time and get a different message each time. This is a really beautifully written book.
Beautiful book - thanks for the well written with so much love and devotion. I was not able to stop reading this. The last few pages from Sri Om Swami was simply beautiful. Thanks for one of the best books I have ever read.
For a realised master miracles and grace are all on equal footing, for when Grace descends it's energy at its peak channelised towards the truth and unfolding
This book gives a reader depth of Om Swami’s reach for devotees and who seeks his guidance. Beautiful compilation of vast experiences from people from all over the globe. There were times when I had tears of bliss by just reading some of the stories. Must read for those who are drawn to Om Swami, seek his blessings and be enveloped in his grace.
Outstanding book. To know your Guru a bit more than what you knew is always a privilege. Thank you so much Sadhvi ji & Vidu Swamiji for putting this book together.
This book teaches the best of human traits to live one’s life by reflection on the life of one of the greatest siddhapurusha of 21st century-Om Swamiji. 🙏🙏🙏
