This is a story of love and loss. Discovering roads you’ve never been down and revisiting some you have. It’s equally a coming of age story about a 19 year old as it is for the 39 year old.

Grumpy and sarcasm are also two languages that I speak fluently. I love that he carries on conversations with his dead husband. Especially when he tells him to shut up.

You’re not crazy if you talk to yourself, you’re only crazy if you answer. Although Perry comes pretty damn close to the precipice, he just manages to stay on the edge.

Mr. Robert does an amazing job in creating two separate worlds. Perry’s chapters definitely feel high class, a little on the cavalier. Lucas’ chapters feel very southern, and hospitable while still making you feel small when someone utters “bless your heart.” Fabulous character development.

I honestly can’t remember the last time I read a book that was so emotionally encompassing. All the pain, the fears, the needs and wants and everything in between I feel as deeply as if it were happening to me.

I can see why Perry fell in love with Chad after less than a day. He’s easy to love and impossible to say goodbye to. 🥺

Welp! That was a plot twist alright, a gut wrenching one at that. It also put a lot into perspective.

Gotta love that spit and fire that kicked off this incomprehensible meetcute. I’m especially enjoying the dynamics, like when Lucas puts Perry in his place.

Let me just say, the steam factor on this one is extremely high. It gave me everything I love about age gaps (which I knew I was gonna get) and a daddy (which was a wonderful surprise).

It’s not always about where you’re going to end up, it‘a about the journey getting there. And I loved every second of this journey thus far. Now tell me the fastest route to get to the next one.

This book defines one of my favourite kinds of romance books!
A book that is character-centric through and through. With the kind of story that I could care about. It must have enough angst to keep me going from first to the last page without a second thought but not too much to make me over-anxious! It should be sweet but not too fluffy with a sugar overflow!
And of course... I want it to be steamy! Hot and sexy!
Lucky for me, Letter by Michael Robert has it all. With the bonus of being brilliantly written!
It's clever, sometimes funny and at the same time insightful and heartwarming.

I loved the story! I cared about those characters so much that I couldn’t put the book down till they got to fulfil their destiny and I can’t wait for the next book to see how they’ll continue to do so.

Perry and Jack lived a beautiful life together. They shared happiness that not many are lucky to feel in their life. They had the perfect love story. Well, almost perfect…
Now Jack is dead and Perry is not coping well with the loss. Things are far from perfect. There’s not much left for Perry to live for. All the money in the world means nothing now that the love of his life is gone and with him, he’s taken Perry’s love for life too.

Encouraged by a letter from Jack and his words from beyond the grave, Perry embarks on a journey, with the hope of finding another chance in love and happiness.

In a parallel story, Lucas is a nineteen-year-old man with a mountain of pain in his heart. He’s lost all the people he cared about and now he’s homeless, alone, but not broken. With the welcoming help of strangers, he's building a life for himself and considering the tough life he's living, he's doing an amazing job.

The story takes these characters on a journey where Lucas gradually becomes ready to meet his destiny and Perry, following an almost supernatural source, gets closer to him one step at a time.
It’s a beautiful journey with an incredibly sexy outcome that will take your breath away...

To be honest, plots involving death are not something I usually go for, but this story is not entirely about death. Quite opposite actually! Yes, It's sad to read about Perry and Jack and the love they had for each other. Jack’s letter is a tear-jerker and reading it left me heartbroken. But the whole point of the book is to tell the story of those who are left behind and have to continue living with a tragic loss. it's a bittersweet realization of the fact that there are no other options really but to keep on going and to move forward with an open mind and open heart. That’s the only way to go on, as it is beautifully articulated by Perry:

“I feel like there’s more room in a broken heart.”

Writing about death could easily turn a book into a painful read but the author’s wit and his charming writing style never allowed that to happen. It got me laughing a few times and it helped a lot to be honest!

“To my extremely thankful surprise, there were four bars on my cell. Thank ya, Jesus! I’d suddenly found Jesus. He’d been in Bumfuck, South Carolina, the whole time.”

Also, isn't pure talent when you can say so much in such a short sentence?!!!

“He was staking claim and I was sporting wood.”

Oh, and how lovely is the dedication at the beginning of the book to Brittany Bailey, who is an amazing book reviewer and a fan of the author. She helped Mr Robert during the process of writing by providing feedbacks and beta reading his book and that got her a book dedication! How sweet is that? In my opinion, that’s how you can tell someone is an extremely nice person and a fantastic author without telling me that he is an extremely nice person and a fantastic author!!

Grief is a powerful thing and it has the power to consume us to the very core. The book opens with Perry amidst the gloom that had taken him over when his husband, Jack, passed away. His brother has to come to his “rescue” before grief envelops him to the point of no return and that’s where his journey begins.

A letter from Jack urges him to move on and keep going. Along the way, he meets a couple of key people who will guide him to his path, and to Lucas who is going through the same thing.

After losing his mother, Lucas stumbled upon letters that reveal secrets that will change his life forever. Living under the guidance of amazing people who added different layers to this beautiful story.

One meeting changes the trajectory of where these men are going. Or is it where they should be. Their connection was instant and the bond that formed between Perry and Lucas was beautiful to watch.

Letters Book One is well crafted story weaving two different worlds together but glued by one thing…their pain.

This is poignant and serendipitous story about love and above all healing after loss. It’ll take you to a path like no other. It’s symbolizes our journey in life. We meet people along the way who usher us to our final destination whatever that could be. Love. Career. Life.

Book two can’t get here fast enough.

I highly recommend this book!

How could I possibly do this book justice? This book will take you on a heartbreaking journey of love, loss, and what it means to start living again.

Perry Jackson has lost the love of his life and after nearly 20 years together it isn't as easy as they make it seem to just pick up your life and continue forward. He hasn't been able to leave his apartment much less think about moving forward but a letter from Jack set a one-year trip in motion. A trip that will not only help Jack move on from his husband but lead him down roads he never thought possible.

Lucas Jenkins is 19 and has already lost a man he saw a future with and his mother. Making it on your own is hard but making it when you have no help is even harder but when a local man takes Lucas in and gives him a job, he finally sees things looking up for him. A safety deposit box from his mother changes everything he thought about himself and what was supposed to be his future.

The people that Perry meet start to set the course for the next chapter of his life. Chad the first person he was able to connect to since his husband's death. A young man who understands all too well what he is going through and the connection they share is brief but meaningful.

Letters book one is much more than a love story, it is story of moving forward when you think that life can't possibly get any worse, it is a story of possibilities if you let yourself believe that you could be happy again. For me this story hit my heart because sometimes the people you least expect are the ones to make the biggest impact.

Looking forward to getting to book two in this duet to find out exactly how Perry's journey will end and what his new future will hold.

Letters (book one) was such a fantastic read! It sucked me into the story immediately and held my attention throughout. I loved the whole concept of going on a literal and emotional journey while trying to recover from such a tragic event. Each character has a very distinct voice and their personalities come through so well. The story takes you through quite the range of feelings and it’s also super 🔥. I absolutely loved it and can’t wait for the second half of the story! I’ve got my fingers crossed for certain characters and look forward to seeing how everything unfolds.

LETTERS takes the reader on an emotional journey of love, loss, and self-discovery. In his second novel, Michael Robert once again creates a world in which the characters are masterfully crafted, each with their own unique, unforgettable personalities and vulnerabilities. The reader cannot help but fall in love with each of these characters as the author creates such interesting and dynamic characters that play an important role in the development of the story. The descriptions and raw emotion in this novel will catapult you on a joyous and tearful journey as you connect on a deeper level with the main character, Perry Jackson, and follow him through his commitment to honor his deceased husband’s last wish. This is a brilliantly crafted, MM age-gap romance that cannot be missed by any MM romance fans! Michael Robert is proving to be an incredible author, with a talent for taking readers on an emotional and fun filled journey. Can’t wait to read Book 2!!

Letters

It took me a couple of days after reading this book to write this review as I needed to get my head around all the emotions the book took me through. I think the strongest emotion we all have to go through at some time in our lives is grief and this book took us on a journey fuelled by grief. You could feel the bone deep pain Perry experienced after the sudden loss of his husband Jack. The author took me on an emotional rollercoaster and I can honestly say that I cried, proper cried, big ugly tears which made it difficult to read the words at times but there was hope and a light at the end of the tunnel even though the author switched it off occasionally!

Perry took the advice in the letter left by his dead husband and went on a journey of self discovery. He opened his heart and mind and embraced, somewhat reluctantly at first, new experiences and more importantly new people and he met some amazing and insightful people along the way.

Lucas was experiencing his own grief. He had had a difficult life and found himself all alone and homeless from the age of 16. His path was totally different from Perry’s but he found a wonderful, warm and caring couple to give him a job and care for him.

Although Perry and Lucas’ stories didn’t merge until 65% in the author’s wonderfully descriptive writing, laced with humour made it easy to follow each story as we jumped from one to the other. Perry and Lucas experienced an “almost” immediate attraction and quickly settled into a relationship with lots of steam! The age gap didn’t faze them although at times it was apparent.

The characters that made an appearance on Perry’s road trip might have been in the story for a short time but they were all important and interesting in their different ways and were cleverly woven into the overall plot as were the characters involved in Lucas’s life. All wove an intricate web which at times felt almost psychic as they urged Perry on to find his next love and it almost seemed as though Jack was still playing a part in Perry’s future happiness. I especially loved Chad, there is so much more to this beautiful young man and I hope we get to see more of him in book 2.

The book leaves us on a knife edge and I cannot wait to read book 2.
I received an ARC from the author in return for an unbiased review and I really recommend you read this beautiful book.

So I finished this beauty in the wee hours and honestly, Michael Robert writes no wrong. I really need to see his grocery list, I bet it’s the most interesting, exciting grocery list we will ever see!! Truly though, phenomenal writing, exceptional side characters, as always. Please sit back, be patient and enjoy the ride with Perry! This is a journey, not a race.

This one made me laugh, but it also made me weepy! Also, that cliffy…good thing book 2 is out…I will be starting soon!

A captivating, intriguing and wonderful story!!

Firstly, this is only the author Michael Robert's second novel but he's fast become a favorite. His writing style is always smooth and easy to follow with wonderful characters and a fresh storyline that's different from the main stream.

This particular novel, Letters, is such an extraordinary and different story (to me anyway). I was captivated by it's uniqueness and all the quirky/odd/loveable characters. I know it's a story of grief and loss but it's so much more than that.

To me it was more about the journey of discovering and/or rediscovering yourself. It shows how putting one foot in front of the other even when you're scared or feel like it's impossible to move forward can also be thrilling, enlightening, and often times a fun adventure. It was sad at times but for me it was more hopeful in a sense that maybe things/people/events do happen and/or come into your life for a reason and the universe will line you up with your destiny and where you're supposed to be.

Once our two mc's, Perry and Lucas, meet up you can feel their chemistry coming off the pages and it makes for some hot and steamy scenes. My heart was pulled in by so many of these characters and I could probably write a book on each one and the reasons why but to be honest I don't want to say too much because that's what makes this story so intriguing...seeing all the events of the journey unfold as you go. There's a couple of shocking twists that leave you with your mouth open and that cliffy at the end will have you desperate for book two.

This was definitely a 5 star read for me. I highly recommend and can't wait for the conclusion in book two!!

Do you believe in fate? That's the question that Perry is asking after he discovers a letter left to him by his deceased husband, Jack. Jack's letter sends Perry on a journey of self-discovery and love, but Letters Book One is just the first part of Perry's journey.

As Perry makes his way to his final destination, he meets a mysterious young man that helps to guide him on his way to Lucas Jenson. Lucas has suffered a loss of his own, having lost both his mother and the man that he loved. Lucas received letters from his lost ones too, and those letters have completely uprooted Lucas's life. When Perry and Lucas meet, they are instantly drawn to one another and help to heal each other, but there are obstacles in their way. Are their lifestyles too different for them to build a life together? Or will destiny intervene?

I really liked this story and the way that it was told, going back and forth between Perry and Lucas. A lot happens in both of their lives before they find their way to each other, and I enjoyed Perry's journey and the people that he met in his travels. There are some heartbreaking moments in this book...not ugly cry moments, but I definitely teared up a time or two. My heart broke for both of these men. This book does end on a cliffhanger, and I will immediately be jumping into book two to see how this all plays out. I'm confident that the second half of this story will be as good as the first.

Beautiful, incredible, heart wrenching and oh so steamy! Michael Robert has done it again. His second book, Letters, blew me away! Michael can write a love story like no other. The details he puts into his writing grabs your attention from the very first page.

This book will take you on a journey. A journey of self discovery and longing. From the first few sentences I was hooked. The prologue in itself had so many emotions to it. Never mind the rest of the book that had me sobbing. You feel for these characters. You route for their happiness. But you also can’t read fast enough to see where the story will go.

Perry is taken on a journey put forth by his late husband, Jack. Discovering a letter from Jack, Perry sets forth to find comfort as he is shattered and broken. Lucas a small town guy is shattered and broken himself. Having lost his mother and the man he wanted to spend his life with, he feels alone and is waiting for some thing more. Fate and these incredible letters may bring these two together but is it enough to keep them that way?

This is a must devour, beautiful book! The journey is fun, passionate and a wild ride. I had a hard time picking who I loved the most out of all the characters. Even Jack, Perry’s late husband plays such a fascinating role in this book you can’t help not fall in love with him. There are so many fun and interesting twists throughout the story. When you think it might go this way, it goes another. This in itself with grab your attention. Perry has my heart. He is a lover, a guy who not only wants to be loved, he has so much love to give. This book was emotional, vulnerable and so beautifully written. Michael was so made to be a writer, he can for sure tell a story. I can’t wait to see what is to come, especially after that shocker of an ending. This book deserves all the stars, absolutely incredible!

I’m still shook after reading Letters Book One. Once again, Michael Robert weaves a fantastically intricate story of two broken, grieving souls who find healing in one another’s love. Before they intersect about 2/3 through the novel, we witness the parallel lives of Perry, the wealthy financier who tragically lost his husband, Jack, and Lucas, the young man searching for connection and struggling with his own identity after losing the two people who loved him unconditionally.

As Perry and Lucas commence their fateful journey to one another, I’m reminded of the lyrics: “We’re just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year…” How satisfying when the MCs finally meet and despite their 20-year age difference, recognize in one another what they have been longing for.

Their attraction and connection is genuine, immediate and passionate (BTW, age gap romance is super hot!) and just when you think they’ve found their HEA, Michael Robert teases us mercilessly with a jaw-dropping cliffhanger. Wow! I’ll be hanging on for the sequel in 2022!

I’m going to give this one 3.5 stars. This was a 4-5 star read for me until the last 20% when the story took a downward turn. There was a lot of buildup to what should have been a sweet love story about the discovery and exploration of one MC and the recovery and emotional mending of the other. In the end, it just kind of fizzled and left me with a HFN? cliffhanger. I’ll be reading book two just to see if the characters deserve redemption for their actions.

*CAUTION: Spoilers all over the place!*

Whaaat!? It ends like that!? It hooked me that much only to end in a cliffhanger!?
What the fuck! 🙈

I barely survived this. The sex in this book is so hot..my god 🔥. The author was very explicit with his steamy scenes and I loved it.

Apart from the smutt, the whole book is a gem. It tells the story of Perry and Lucas. Perry just lost his husband and is mourning. He is a broken man that can't imagine his future without his love.

In my opinion, the author did an amazing job with Perry. He created a character with so many different sides. He was mature yet funny. He was smart but at times he couldn't see the obvious things in front of him. The inner talk he had with himself? I couldn't stop myself from smiling while reading it.

And then there's Lucas. He is young but knows what he wants. He wants to feel safe in the hands of a man. He wants to feel loved. He wants to know that the person he is with is not ashamed of him or afraid to acknowledge their relationship.

Both characters have lost important people of their lives. They both have wounds than need time to heal.

What was interesting to me in this book was that Perry and Lucas met each other approximately in the last half of the book. In the first half we got to experience them and meet them separately. We saw how their life was, how they flirted with others, how they dealt with tough situations..etc.

I really hope that Perry and Lucas get over their problems and find their HEA. It felt a little bit weird in the beginning to see these two together but it certainly felt much more weird to see these two apart.

The storyline of this book is hella interesting itself. I was hooked right from the beginning and I was so shocked with this ending. I mean..when is the next book coming out? I need to know 😈

If you don't mind cliffhangers, hot daddy kink, sexy steamy scenes, MM situation, age gap then by all means..READ THIS.

If you mind.. then your loss 😏

“Grief is like the ocean; it comes on waves ebbing and flowing. Sometimes the water is calm, and sometimes it is overwhelming. All we can do is learn to swim.”

As you begin this truly emotional and heartfelt story Perry is drowning in grief as he continues to struggle with the loss of his beautiful husband Jack.
As his brother comes to pull him out of the darkness as also does one final letter from his husband Jack.
It's time! Time for Perry to honour is pain, honour the loss of his husband, find his new path, and finally make it back too shore.
But.... Where does he even start? A road trip with the memories and ashes of his late husband of course.
This journey. This story by Michael Robert is simply wow.
My heart was invested, the tears flowed freely, and amongst all of the heart-wrenching emotional moments I saw some shining light that truly warmed my heart.
Among a number of the characters their was some truly beautiful, spiritual and steamy moments that had me smiling, swooning, laughing, and turning on that cold shower because damn Robert brought the steam with some sizzling chemistry!

Letters is a beautifully written and emotional MM romance story like no other. Each of the wonderfully unique characters stole my heart and gosh I was rooting for them and their happiness. As I devoured their stories I was taken on a heart-wrenching and beautiful journey about love, loss, grief, self-discovery, re-discovery and finding joy.

One can wonder. Has fate intervened and brought these characters together? And what will the future hold for them? Will they experience more heartbreak or will they get the HEA each and every one of them deserve?

That ending...... Nope I'm not even a little bit O.K 😂. Had my heart was aching, it was racing and my poor mind instantly went in a million different directions.
I know one shouldn't wish their life away but damn I need Book 2 ASAP.

10 out of 5 stars!!! A Highly Recommended Read. So grab those tissues and enjoy!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I read it yesterday, breaking only long enough to have dinner with friends before jumping back in.

Perry and Lucas were both dealing with devastating losses. Perry - the loss of his husband who had been part of his life since they were teenagers and Lucas - the loss of his mother and the man who meant the world to him. Both deaths were unexpected and through them both into a world of loss and grief.

With a push from his brother, financially flush Perry climbed out of bed and followed his late husband's push to get back out in the world and travel until he found someone to love. Financially strapped Lucas, continued to assert his independence, working for every penny he earned, fortunately connecting with a couple who cared for him like he was family.

Along Perry's travels, he discovered wonderful people that he met at just the right time to give him those emotional pushes he needed to work through his grief and find himself, the self he'll need without his late husband's taking care of him as well as he used to do.

Lucas' journey was discovering himself as he became more secure as the man he was though no longer with the man he longed for.

While the events at the beginning of the books, namely the loss of the men who were so important to them, other life changing events also took place. Eventually, they're brought together, probably about 2/3 of the way through the book. The people who brought them together in an unplanned chain of events, Chad, Tak, the waitress, Clint... are all wonderfully written and beautifully woven into this story. One of them makes another appearance towards the end so I hope we see more of that person in the next offering by the author.

This book has a definite stopping place, but not necessarily an ending. We're left wanting for the new book that doesn't come out until 2022.

The book is an emotional read - grief, loss, helplessness, passion, love... it's a wonderful read. I recommend you check it out if you're looking for a good love story.

Do You Believe In Fate?

Oh my goodness I felt this story. I’m not going to talk about the plot as this is a story you need to go into blind. At times I felt butterflies in my belly, my heart beat faster and a scattering of goosebumps as I read this. There are treasures sprinkled throughout this story, coincidences that I was certain had to be fate, tying characters together in very special ways that I really felt Jack guiding his love only to be surprised when I was taken in directions I didn’t see coming.

I love an age gap story and this is told in flashbacks and present day as well as different points of view. This is a journey of grief but it’s also a journey of self discovery, growing up, letting go, moving on and falling in love again. There were so many possibilities here and I wasn’t prepared for the one that eventuated.

This is a first time read of Michael Robert and it’s a beautifully written, sweet story and it’s been an absolute privilege to read. I can thoroughly recommend Letters and it’s one of a handful of books that will go into my favourite reads for 2021. I loved this 💕

Letters Book One is a beautifully written story about moving on after a loss. Perry and Lucas crossed paths when they both needed someone to heal, but because of their two different worlds, forced to make some important decisions. This book ends on a cliff hanger and I cannot wait to read book two.

This is an amazingly emotional and beautiful story about grief and fate. My ONLY hang up is the Daddy kink. It is something I try to avoid—just not my cup of tea. I didn’t see an indication of that going into reading this, but I felt like dealing with the hang up was worth it and I’m glad I read it! 4.75

Beautifully written-it takes you in a journey

There is a delicate balance to writing a story about losing your partner and processing grief. It’s a state of loss that touches most of us at some point, and requires insight to write about. What strikes you when you read Letters is the translation of grief and it’s process, is so eloquently written into a relatable story. The writing style feels effortless with pacing and flow in the dual POV -that makes it a great read.

Letters follows Perry’s journey after the loss of his husband. He discovers Jack has written a letter in the event that something should happen to him- asking him to re-discover the choices and paths he didn’t take as a younger man.

The road trip and colourful characters (shout out to Chad 💜) met along the way - enhance Perry’s character arc, like symbolic stepping stones to self discovery.

Yes this story is sad- yes It made my eyes leak, but it’s also infused with humour. Those funny conversations one would banter with a loved one- albeit he’s in an urn, the interactions with quirky characters, the self deprecating humour of Perry’s lavish lifestyle, and of course the possibility of finding happiness brings many smiles.

In a kismet kind of moment our couple have their meet cute. Lucas’ life hasn’t been easy, he’s an old soul in a young man- I wanted to wrap him up and tell him everything will be ok. Recent tragic events reveal a secret that shakes him to the core. These two MC’s are guided to each other - some might say through grief, but if you believe in spirituality, or fate, you would recognise-otherwise.

I must Congratulate Michael Robert on taking this reader through a journey that touched me, made me cry and laugh. The ending of book one was angsty, yet perfect…..

The road blocks to love make it a bumpy journey. I am so looking forward to book two.

I had high expectations for Michael Robert to really weave out stories that DOES tug at your heart. I had the pleasure of reading Letters: The Complete Duet which is two stories in one book. You have to read the first story to understand the second story. You also have to read this one before reading Letters: Chad’s Story. It’ll be worth your while! I’d definitely give this one more than 5 stars! There were times when I tear up while reading the two stories. Awesome!!!!

The story focuses on Perry who was hiding from the world due to his husband, Jack’s passing from an accident. Upon reading Jack’s last letter, it encouraged Perry to take a trip south from New York to find his future husband. In doing that, his traveling took him to South Carolina where he met Chad who happened to be on valet duty at a hotel where he was planning to stay. Upon meeting Chad, Perry found that Chad wasn’t the one but that didn’t stop them from becoming fast friends. The sheer irony was that Chad was somewhat a clairvoyant and could sense Jack. Chad encouraged Perry to keep going. While driving to the next stop, Perry’s car broke down out of nowhere. With the car’s Alexa, he contacted Lucas who was on towing duty for an auto shop owned by a great guy. Lucas picked him up but the first meeting was a disaster. That’s where I’m going to stop and have you pick up the book and read to find out what happened. There’s lot more to the story but I don’t want to give anything away. A GREAT reading!

Wow! This is a very special book (I read the combined duology), and I feel honoured to have read it.

Full disclosure: I bought this months ago but had to wait for the right time in my own grief cycle before reading, as I did actually use this to help heal myself too.

This book deep-dives into the grief process. It is heart-achingly poignant. The author takes you through the trauma of loss. BUT also, the beauty of healing.

Perry was devastated at the loss of his husband, Jack. But he'd left Perry a letter just in case he went first. And that letter sent him on a road trip. Where he encounters some Divinely placed people with mystical talents.

It is a voyage of finding oneself, really. Perry undergoes a transformation as he heals. And it really was beautiful to see.

And Lucas also undergoes grief and renewal as he faces his own challenges.

The characters are all well-developed. The emotions are fully expressed - and there are joyful moments too. Very well-written. I sobbed at Jack's special bit (no spoilers).
Jack is a wonderful, spiritual presence - maybe the overarching hero of this duology tbh; an incredibly special guy.

A lot gets explored; good families, bad ones, found family too. Work ethic. How to live well. Adversity. Homophobes. General gits. Overcoming so many obstacles.

There is just so much love contained within these pages.

Now, I just need to buy me a beach house!!

I can’t say enough how much I enjoyed Letters by Michael Roberts .

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟/5

This story was filled with so much emotion and it had me hooked from the first page. Both of the characters had suffered from a loss of a loved one and they are both on the search for their second chance in life. But there is more to just Perry and Lucas , specially when we got hit with the ending that is now making us wonder and question where the story is going to end.

This was a true page turner from the start and I couldn’t put it down till I finished it. Michael delivered us an amazing outstanding story and I can’t wait to see what’s written in the stars for Lucas and Perry in the next book ❤️

This was a reread and I have no idea why I didn’t rate or review it the first time around.

It follows Perry and Lucas (and to a degree, Chad) on their unique personal journey through the after effects of grief and how their paths cross. Is it down to fate, supernatural or just a little bit of magic? Who cares when even on the second reading this is beautifully written.
Sensitively handled, poignant and without drowning in misery it touches on how a similar experience can affect everyone differently.
There is no HEA, there’s not even a HFN but it’s still worth it even if it ends with a “to be continued”.
