I've said that loads of times, but I will say it again and again. I am in love in Sport romance and I definately enjoy reading them. And this is the case with the current book from author Stacey Lynn. To be honest, I have never read any of her books, soo...this is a first one for me. It was a damn good decision to read it. One more thing for the record - I love couples who got married in one night in Vegas 😁.

Joey and Gabby got married in Vegas, when they were both drunk. None of them even remember how it happened. And from then on, the romance begins. Both of them were attracted to each other from before and that marriage just gave them the correct push to explore it.

What I found very pleasing was, that except 1-2 tiny obstacles, there wasn't any major drama. They were feeling the pull and went straight at it. They did started to fall in love with each other quite fast but I was definately on board with that. As usual 😂.

I really loved the book. There is definately HEA in the end and there is a little glimpse for who the next book might be. I actually want to go back and read Gabby's brother book first and then continue with the 3rd one. Let's hope that I will have some free time soon to do it 💖.

Is there anything more fun than a wake up in Vegas Married Romance? How about when you wake up married to your best friend and team mates little sister? Yep, that will do it. This was such a fun read that even included a ROAD TRIP!

I have been a fan of Stacey Lynn's for a long time, most times I don't even read the book synopsis before I jump into the book which is what I did so I was pleasantly surprised with the different tropes in this steamy read.

Gabby and Joey have both ended relationships recently, but neither of them were looking for another relationship but you know when the chemistry is there there's no stopping it. So was it any surprise that they woke up married even if they don't remember doing it?

Joey Taylor is the youngest of the Taylor boys, they all play Hockey just like their father did, and if you have read any of his brothers' books you know something happened to end Joey's marriage but he never wanted to talk about it...well, we find out EVERYTHING right from the start and WOW my heart totally broke for him.

Gabby is Garrett Dubiak's brother, his story was the first book in the series GAME CHANGER, and we met Gabby there and I liked her immediately. There was just something about her protection of her brother, even if it was from a friend, that made me like her.

Please know that you do not have to read Game Changer book or Joey's brothers books to enjoy this one, I am just pointing out that they had popped up in previous books I read so I have seen how they were before they got together, this book can be read as a standalone. The chemistry was great and I loved that they didn't have too much angst working against them.

If you enjoy Steamy Sports Romance, New Adult Romance, Contemporary Romance, Best Friends Sibling Romances, Road Trip Romances, or Woke Up Married Romances I would recommend this book to you.

Happy Reading!!!

4.5 Gabby and Joey Stars

I enjoyed this second book in the Las Vegas Vipers series which focuses on Joey and Gabby. We met both of them in Garrett and Lizzie's book , Game Changer. Gabby is Garrett's little sister and Joey is his friend and team mate.

Joey was married to a Vegas burlesque dancer but that all went horribly wrong and he is still recovering from the break up of his marriage and the subsequent divorce when he starts to see Gabby differently. Throw a drunken night in Vegas into the mix and all bets are off when they wake up the next morning very hungover and very married.

The two of them agree to maintain the appearance of a marriage for a while to try and salvage both their reputations.
Both Gabby and Joey are very likeable. I felt sorry for Gabby as she is pretty isolated. No one ever seems to really have her back. Garrett , her brother does look out for her but she has a difficult relationship with her Mother who is really awful to her and clearly favours Garrett. I loved that Joey supports her dreams and even though he wants to wrap her up and make everything alright for her, he does as she asks and lets her make her own way, even though it goes against all his instincts. He is alpha, protective, passionate and he is falling hard for our heroine.

Joey really is a romantic at heart. He's very lovable and some of the things he does for Gabby are so sweet. There are a lot of sexy scenes between them. It's a pretty hot book but all the kindle freezer moments are mixed in with some gorgeous romantic gestures and moments.

If you enjoy tropes of sports romance (Ice Hockey Hero) , kind of fake relationships & big brother's friend then snap this up. It's a gorgeous book.

HEA? More HFN but I am convinced these two are a forever couple. The ending leads into Dominick's book , Rule Breaker .
Cheating? No

One of the reasons I look forward to reading Stacey Lynn is because she can take an overused trope and turn it easy and fresh. This isn’t the first story about a drunken night in Vegas ending in a marriage, it’s not even the first I’ve read this month LOL but somehow, it didn’t come across as cliché or trite. That’s one of her superpowers and I am always here for that!

This story also turned out to be more than one would seem. What I mean is that it’s not even a sports romance at its core. Yes, it’s sports centric, but Gabby and Joey take center stage to the Las Vegas Vipers at every turn. I enjoyed that a lot, especially with these two because this *oopsie* thing they found themselves entangled in did not really come from a place of secrete crushing by either of them, so they had quite a bit of growth to go thru in this story to make it believable. I enjoyed reading their growth from friendship to more. They had spark and were very entertaining while also tugging at my heart plenty of times. Well rounded story with a great plot and realistic and relatable plot points!

I can’t recommend Stacey Lynn enough as an author. I’ve been reading her work for years and it has always been satisfying!

5 Star Review Dream Maker (Last Vegas Vipers #2) by Stacey Lynn

I loved this book. It was everything I want in a romance book and ticked all the boxes for me. From the first chapter to the last I was fully invested in Gabby and Joey’s story. What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, or does it?

After winning the Stanley Cup, Joey ends up spending the night with his best friend’s sister. Imagine their shock when they find out that they have gotten married and even more that that the news is everywhere.

Neither of them remember getting married but it seems that it is valid so now they need to make the best of it and let the fuss settle down. Complications quickly arise when feelings get involved and Joey quickly realizes that he wants to stay married to Joey. Now if only he can convince Gabby that what they have is real and to take a chance on them.

I loved the banter and the development of their relationship, it was heart warming and made me smile. Gabby and Joey were well suited to one another and I found myself swooning, sighing and laughing out loud as they embarked on their romantic journey.

Dream Maker is book two in the "Las Vegas Vipers" series. Each book is a sports romance with a different trope. Dream Maker features what starts as a surprise / fake marriage and turns into real love.

Joey knows he shouldn't be involved with his teammate's sister. But one day in Vegas, he wakes up in bed next to Gabby... and of course, she has a huge ring on her finger. They quickly find out that the marriage is VERY real. Naturally, his teammate is mighty mad at him.. and the press is having a field day. From there on, their romance really does blossom.
Stacey Lynn did an amazing job with this storyline. There wasn't a whole lot of drama, which is great. They had feelings before this marriage happened, but they never acted on it. Once the marriage was "real," they decided to just go with their feelings and not fight it. They didn't face a LOT of obstacles either. Sure, some were upset right away, but their relationship was accepted pretty quickly. And man, they made a super cute couple!!

OH, and there is a HEA!

In the first book, we glimpsed at Gabby and Joey's sparks at the hospital. But their story is much more. Plenty of surprises, obstacles, and growth happen between these pages. Their relationship happens fast, but they are smart enough to slow it down and see what happens. I love both of these characters; they are not what I expected. Our tease for book three already has me looking to the future.

Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

Professional hockey player Joey Taylor was happily married to a Las Vegas burlesque dancer named Lenora - or so he thought, until he returned home from a week-long road trip to find her having an affair with another woman. A few months later, a newly divorced Joey and several of his teammates are celebrating their Stanley Cup win with family and friends, including his teammate Garrett's younger sister, Gabby Dubiak. Gabby's been staying in Las Vegas with Garrett's wife, Lizzie, for several months as Lizzie awaits the birth of twins, but now that the hockey season is over, Gabby is at a crossroads. Her mother is pressuring her to figure out what to do with her life since she can't live off her brother forever. Joey rescues Gabby from the uncomfortable conversation with an invitation to join him and several other teammates at a nightclub after dinner. She accepts, and the next morning, they wake up married with no memory of how it happened. Photos and video of the ceremony have gone viral, however, so Joey begs Gabby to stay married to him, at least temporarily, for the sake of his reputation.

This book was even better than the first one in the series! After reading the synopsis, I was expecting a typical "married in Vegas" story, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was so much more than that. The road trip aspect was a lot of fun, plus it allowed Gabby and Joey's relationship to grow quickly and naturally because of the forced proximity. Gabby was worried about giving their marriage a real shot at first, which was completely understandable; by all accounts, Joey had really been in love with his ex-wife and it had only been a few months since their divorce. It didn't take long for him to realize that Gabby was a much better match for him than Lenora ever was, and I loved how sweet he was in his efforts to persuade Gabby to stay married to him. He really listened to her, encouraged her to follow her dreams, and stood up for her with her mother and brother when she needed it.

I recommend "Dream Maker" for all fans of contemporary/sports romance and plan to continue with the series.

Book two in the Las Vegas Viper Series and what a wonderful addition to the series. I’m really struggling to write this review as I’m not sure my words can do this book justice and how do you describe a book that that took over your life, a journey you didn’t want to end and a couple you couldn’t get enough off …well here goes and I hope I can convince every sports lover to one click this gem. This is Joey and Gabby’s entertaining and heartwarming story.
We all know “ What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas” or does it?
A Stanley Cup win has the Vipers out celebrating and Joey ends up spending the night with his best friend and teammates sister. But it wasn’t just hooking up for the night because imagine waking up with wedding bands on your fingers and imagine that before you can do anything about it’s blasted all over the news and social media. Another problem is Gabby and Joey actually have feelings for each other so can he convince her to take on change on them, to give their marriage a chance….guess you are going to need to read the book to find that out.
I loved everything about this book, I fell hard and fast for Joey and I adored Gabby, I laughed, I giggled, I swooned and I sighed as I joined them on their romantic journey. Another great visit to Sin City and the Vipers hockey team and can’t wait for what happens in the next instalment.

Oh God I don't have words to describe this book. It's really hard to find something that will explain all the feelings it left me with. I'm not sure who I loved more, Joey or Gabby. They both have a huge weight on their shoulders and they find solace in each other's arms. He was more than ready to start their life together when the shock subsided. She needed to find her footing before she was able to give her all to him.
The whole time they were a part I felt the sadness and I was rooting so hard for them to come back to each other ASAP because my heart was a mess the whole time she needed to come back to him and when she did it was like finally seeing the sun after the thunderstorm.

And now I'm excited for the breadcrumbs Stacey Lynn has left us at the end of this book and all that's left to say is - is it May yet?!

Awww I knew I liked Joey. He's a sweetheart with a rough exterior. Gabby is perfect for him. Her mom is atrocious to her, and her brother is a single ficus kinda guy. He should be happy for his sister, knowing how his love life turned out. I wanted to smack Garrett after being such a great guy in his own book. I really like this series!

I really enjoyed this book and honestly, this isn’t a trope I typically like! But the story was so entertaining and flowed nicely. I loved the flashbacks throughout the story as well as they shed a lot of light on Joey and Gabby’s relationship, which really helped to understand their attraction and history of how they felt almost instantly connected. This is the 3rd book I’ve read by Stacey Lynn (the Love & Lies duet were the 1st two books and I LOVED them); I love how Stacey writes and the imagery used to really put yourself in the story.

5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Let me just say: Same as with book 1 in this series… I fell in love!❤️

Absolutely perfect, wonderfully written, realistic characters, the most perfect guy main character (a man that probably wouldn’t exist like that in real life, but a girl can dream right?😂), the exact right amount of emotion and spice and just every single line was so good.

Dream Maker made me emotional in the first chapter already, there were entire passages I noticed I couldn’t stop smiling, the heavy parts hit me right in the feels, but these characters were so so good together. There was the right amount of understanding and I just want to hug these two.

I loved seeing the characters from book 1 again, I liked the end where the author gave us a sneak peak of book 3 in the series and I loved everything in between. Really, its the perfect romance and I have a feeling Stacey Lynn is becoming one of my favourites.

What else can I say really?😂 There wasn’t anything I didn’t like with this book.❤️

What I like most about this author’s sports romances is that the relationships take center stage, and the professional athlete component is secondary. It compliments the story rather than overpower it. The members of the Las Vegas Vipers hockey team are like family, and I really enjoy getting to know all of the interconnected characters and the anticipation of learning who is next to fall in love.

In Dream Maker, book two of this series, it’s Joey Taylor’s turn to fall. He’s 26 and totally committed to his wife when he catches her cheating on him and has no choice but to end things. He has such a giant heart and is so vulnerable, sensitive, and sweet, that you just want to give him a giant hug and tell him everything is going to be ok! And maybe rub his big biceps a little during the hug, but you get the picture.

His heart is still tender, but on the mend when he reconnects with his teammate’s younger sister, Gabrielle Dubiak, 23, and they are both smitten. As the overview states, they elope rather quickly and try to give it a go for their own personal reasons.

Joey is a true romantic at heart. Gives 100% and is totally devoted to her happiness. He’s patient and so very generous, and will make you weak in the knees with his swagger and swoon. Every woman could use a Joey in her life; he is all sorts of amazing, in and out of the bedroom.

I love how attentive and selfless he was, not only to Gabby, but also as a sponsor and volunteer for a youth baseball league. He surprises her with the honeymoon of her dreams and they go off on a cross country adventure with the hope of getting to know each other better, fully aware that they are doing things a bit backwards. The steamy times are smoking hot, and these two have so much fun together and are on fire!

Gabby’s brother, Garrett, was featured in the first book in this series, and he and his wife, Lizzie, are expecting twins. Even though she grew up with a famous brother, she is very down-to-earth and easy going, just trying to figure out her future. Their physical and emotional connection was undeniable, and they made loving each other seem easy.

I loved these two together and routed for them the entire time, but was majorly disappointed towards the end when Gabby handled a situation on her own, rather than confide in her husband and they work it out as a team. She kept him in the dark about her plans for weeks, which tore him up inside, and my heart broke for him. I get that she was trying to be independent, but you’re the complete opposite when you run home to your gaslighting mother and seek her guidance, and that of a friend you recently connected with, instead of your husband.

Being a romance, this book does have a very happy ending so do not fear! I am looking forward to reading more of Joey and Gabby’s relationship, as well as all of the other players and their wives and children, and especially the elusive Domenic who has been a mystery since the beginning, in future books.

There is absolutely nothing new or original about Joey and Gabby's story. They get drunk and get married in Vegas. They wake up, they remember nothing, and aren't even sure what happened until they notice the rings.

Stop me if you have read this before.

But, that's the thing...you really haven't. This is not a new trope, but it almost feels as it is as you read the title, as the story feels fresh and like something that maybe isn't a book you have read before with a fairly well used trope.

And, that is why I read this author. Because I know that no matter the setting, the sub genre, or the plot, it's going to feel like a new story with people who are complete people and not 2 dimensional. I liked both of them, I thought their families added an element to the story without distracting from the main couple.

This is the 2nd book in the series and, aside from something in the epilogue (which I will get to in a bit) is a standalone. There are characters from the first story in this one, but you don;t need to know their past in order to be able to enjoy this title.

The epilogue is the ending of this book, but also leads into the events of the next title with a little bit of a teaser as to where the next character's story will start. And, I am not going to lie, I don't love it when authors make the epilogue into a little promo for the next title. Will it stop me from reading the author in the future? Probably not. But it does impact how I feel about the title when I am done with it.

That said, I enjoyed this title overall and I recommend it.

I loved Joey and Gabby’s story… 😊

While out celebrating with his friends after winning the Stanley cup, Joey ends up spending the night with his best friends sister. And even more shocking they end up getting married…. 😊 And now that he has won the Stanley cup and had a drunken night which ended up him being married, it might not be good for publicity. So he asks Gabby to stay married to him for a few months until things quiet down a bit.

Gabby is in this space where she is trying to find herself. She is living with her brother and his wife and her mother is constantly on her case to sort her life out. So when she ends up marrying her brother’s friend she knows this is just another way for her family to say she is irresponsible. But she knows that she is attracted to Joey and staying married to him cant be such a bad idea right… But what will she do when she starts developing feelings for him and also when Joey decided that he wants to stay married…

I enjoyed these two together. I freaking loved that they weren’t even married 24hours and Joey totally stood up for her Gabby with her family. He so didn’t take any issues with her mother. I loved that they had this friendship that started and that underneath it all there was some attraction to start with. I loved that I could read this book in one go and it totally kept me hooked from the start. I am totally looking forward to the next one in this series 😊❤❤

5 Stars for heart-warming story!

I loved this story! Even though Joey was a NHL player, he wasn't a player with the ladies and that is a very nice change from most stories about hockey players. He's the one who got his heart broken by his ex-wife. And Gabby just wanted her family to see that she could be responsible for her own life even though she did make some bad decisions. The banter between the characters was very realistic and I loved the sweetness of the story. This is my favorite book in this series ... but I can't wait for Dominick's story next.

After a night of heavy drinking, Gabby and Joey wake up ... MARRIED! Neither one of them remembers it happening, but according to social media it's true! The video of Joey with his bride thrown over his shoulder in a wedding gown is everywhere. Joey hasn't even been divorced for a year and he worried this drunken indiscretion will hurt his reputation and indirectly the reputation of his team. So, he convinces Gabby to go along with the marriage ... at least till it blows over in the media. Gabby agrees as she feels her family will think it's another irresponsible situation she has gotten herself into.

For the last year things in Joey's life haven't been going well, the love of his life broke his heart and shattered any dreams they had for the future. Now he watches all of his teammates living the life he was supposed to have, and it's beyond depressing. He doesn't want to live the carefree lifestyle either, he's been there and done that, all he wants is someone to love and come home to.

And one drunken celebratory night in Vegas is about to give him that... and much more!

The pages of Dream Maker did not disappoint, it was an emotional, dramatic and steamy journey I'm still reveling in. These two brought it all to the pages, their faux romance had many highs and lows, but all the trials and tribulations they faced only made their union stronger. They had some serious heat simmering between them, and it just continued to intensify as I turned the pages. My fingertips are still smoldering a day later.

They may have went about things a little out of order, but there was no question that they belonged with one another, they had an instant connection that never wavered. I loved watching them find their way, and embrace all the new changes being married brought to their lives. They were such a captivating pairing, they drew me instantly, and that was it, I was not leaving until I had devoured every last word! I highly recommend you meet these two, you will fall for them instantly!!

I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.

Book 2 - Dream Maker
Garrett who we met in Book 1 has a younger sister - Gabby. Gabby just lost her job and found out her boyfriend had been cheating on her. Gabby moves out to Las Vegas to live with Garrett and Lizzie while she tries to find herself and find out what she wants to do with her life.

Joey is on the same hockey team with Garrett. Joey is more quiet not really into hanging out much. He is newly divorced and not sure if he wants to date or not. Joey and Gabby meet a few times and always wind up talking with each other and hanging out together when they are with the other players.

After the Las Vegas Vipers hockey team win the Stanley Cup, Joey and Gabby went out on their own to see the town. However, they wind up married. All Joey can think about is how Garrett will kill him. Holy moly what are they going to do?

Even though their marriage is a shame mostly Joey and Gabby do like each other and go off on a RV trip through the US stopping at most of the National Parks. Of course Joey and Gabby wind up falling for each other. But Gabby isn’t sure if she wants to move to Las Vegas permanently to be with Joey or if she wants to return to her hometown and start over there. Gabby needs to find herself. Joey gives her that space and time for herself.

Las Vegas Vipers # 2

Joey Taylor, 27 one of the fastest wingers in hockey, played for the Las Vegas Vipers and was drafted and started playing as soon as he graduated college. He was also married and now divorced after he found his wife cheating on him.
Gabrielle "Gabby" Dubiak 23 is the younger sister of Joey's teammate Garrett Dubiak. They had met previously and now again as the team was celebrating their Stanley Cup win. They ended talking all night and went out on the town to continue celebrating having too much to drink and ended up married. Neither remembers what happened but it's real. Garrett isn't happy and neither is the team thinking it's not real and what a media circus this would create. So after advice from his agent they decided to stay married at least till things blow over. Neither expected to grow close or to even fall in love. Gabby has some things to work through and goes back to Seattle. Will this tear Joey and Gabby apart or can he convince her to stay married?

Such a sweet story and I love how Joey doesn't let anyone talk down to Gabby.
Can't wait to read Dom's story!

What a great story! This one had me hooked from start to finish! 5 hockey stars for this one!
Joey and his team have won the ultimate prize, Lord Stanley's Cup! After the year he's had, getting divorced from his wife, he's riding a high! While out with his family and his close friends and teammates family, he overhears his friends mom basically putting Gabby down, so he comes to her rescue and invites her out to get her away.
Gabby has never lived up to her mothers expectations, and she points it out at every opportunity. When Joey saves her that night, the two embark on a night of celebration in Las Vegas, what could possibly go wrong!
I fell in love with Joey & Gabby in this story, the will have you laughing out loud, and swooning also. Don't miss out on this story, and if you haven't read book one, what are you waiting for! Grab this on asap!

Joey Taylor, ily.

There are very few heroes in books where the male character thinks logically and is actually mature. Joey is one of them. I loved how in-tune he was with his emotions, and how he’s not afraid to show his emotions and cry; and how he doesn’t react to things in a certain way that makes readers mad. It’s actually quite refreshing to read that about a male mc, and it made me love Joey even more! I loved how he was selfless and super caring. I also adored Gabby as well; I loved her personality, and I thought her and Joey were so cute together. Their chemistry was so amazing to read and it was quite undeniable, despite getting married the way they did and barely knowing one another. It was fun to read about them learning about each other, and falling for one another rather quickly!

The Las Vegas Vipers have just won the Stanley Cup and with the arena shaking from the excited home crowd Joey realizes he was alone. It had been seven months since he kicked his wife out and now that he was divorced there wasn't a special someone to celebrate with.

When he arrives for the after-game celebratory dinner with family, the only seat available is next to his teammate Garrett's sister, Gabby. Garrett had been best friends with one of his older brothers since college, but it wasn't until a few months ago when Garrett's wife had a miscarriage scare and he spent time with Gabby in the emergency room that he took notice of her as a woman.

When he overhears her mother giving Gabby a lecture about how she should be more like her brother, he distracts her and invites her to come with him after dinner to meet up with some of the players at the Venetian.

Gabby wakes up confused about where she was and only settles down when she realizes that the man sleeping next to her is Joey and not some random stranger. Although she is wearing a shirt that belongs to Joey, she can tell that nothing happened between them.

With her head spinning and throwing up the liquor from the night before she notices the huge rock on her left finger and a black hole as to what happened the night before. When Joey wakes up and realizes the implications that a drunken marriage will have on his career and the team, he tells Gabby they should stay married since there had to be an important reason for them getting married.

I love this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. This is a combination friend's little sister, Las Vegas drunk wedding. Joey grew up in the spotlight and never had to worry financially having a Hall of Fame hockey player father and now played professionally himself. Gabby is a cosmetologist who is still finding her way in life with a mother who is continuously putting her down and comparing her to her famous hockey player brother.

This book had me laughing and crying. Joey with his dimple and sexy grin. Gabby with her insecurities. Their story is both romantic and smoking hot! I can't wait to read Dominick's story!

OVERALL RATING – 5
RECOMMENDED FOR: hockey romance; oopsie marriage; best friend’s sibling and throw in a road-trip for fun.

First my usual points:
- I do not do spoilers unless warned.
- Read the summary above; it will tell you what the book is about. I will not reiterate.
- This is a standalone but the second of a series (from what I can tell)
- No errors that I caught as far as editing.
- The author was not new to me

BOOK:
- Cover adequately reflects the story:
- contemporary romance/sports
- alternating 1st person POV
- Series/Standalone
Other characters from prior book appear to move the story along
main character’s story is concluded and great lead-in to the next in the series

Star Ratings - 1 (poor) - 5(READ THIS BOOK)
• Writing Quality (book detailed enough/too much detail: 5 stars
• Story ingredient (word flow, witty banter, memorable): 5 stars
• Ease of reading/Pace: 5 stars
• Plot strength (fun/easy): 5 stars
• Steam Level: 4.5 stars (dirty talk with open scenes)
• Characters:
He is grounded, secure, slightly cocky but sensitive
She is slightly insecure, dreamer, sweet

Notes/Opinion (personal):
I’m sort of a sucker for a hockey romance without much drama or complicated unrealistic characters. This fits the bill. We have some appearances by other characters that support the leads and it’s a good time for all.

I loved this one!!!
Accidental marriage. CHECK
Forbidden love (kinda). CHECK
Brother’s friend/teammate. CHECK
Road-trip! CHECK

These two have known each other for years and somehow they end up married after one fun night in Las Vegas after Joey and his team win’s the Stanley Cup. Not wanting to have two divorces in such a short amount of time, Joey convinces Gabby to stay married to him. These too quickly fall in love while on an awesome road trip!

I thought this story had all the feels!
I thought it flowed well and didn’t seem rushed at all. I do wish we could have had more road-trip fun with them, but the storyline worked out well without it.

I loved Gabby and Joey's story especially because of the storyline. It's not your typical married in Vegas, hockey player romance. They got married in Vegas and Joey asked for Gabby to stay married for now and decide later on if they don't want to stay married. What I loved about their story is it's kind of a road trip romance too. Also, it's kind of like their honeymoon which makes it extra sweet and they fall in love in that duration. I can't get over how sweet their story is and Joey is amazing. I loved how he pushed Gabby to pursue what she wants in life even if it means giving her her own space. And that's something her family doesn't give her. So Joey is a huge change in her life. I loved them together.

Dream Maker is book two in the Las Vegas Vipers series and while each book can be read as a standalone you do see the stories interconnect with the first set of characters. The Vipers are celebrating the Stanley cup and you see who is the family man type and the player type on the team. Joey is the family man type although he has no kids yet. HIs world is rocked when his marriage collapses without warning. Gabby is Garrett's sister (he was in book one) and they briefly meet a few times and have become friendly when Gabby feels overwhelmed. Vegas is full of surprises so what better than to wake up married when all you remember is celebrating the Stanley cup. HaHa. Joey and Gabby learn that there has to be a reason they said, "yes" that night. As memories come as flashbacks they see just how much they have in common. Now to convince Gabby to stay married is the challenge. Can he succeed or not? He may be successful as a hockey player, but can he win Gabby's heart for real? The other question is how will Garrett react to this. You will love the story line, how they interact with each other, the connection they actually have for real (not the fake portrayal they are to be doing) and a debatable opinion on something Gabby did towards the end. Some will agree others will not, I can see why it occurred though and it makes sense. These stories are easy to read and have you thinking you are in Vegas with them. I cannot wait until someone on the team with a foreign language gets his awakening in the future. haha

Love this series!!! Joey is freshly divorced and just won the Stanley Cup! After a night of celebrating he wakes up married to his best friends sister. Gabby has had a crush on one of her brothers NHL teammates for a while now and she just woke up married to him! Just another thing in the long list for her mother to be disappointed in her for. This was a fun but surprisingly emotional read. Both Gabby and Joey had some emotional baggage that needed unpacking. I enjoyed both the connection and the chemistry they had. This was a entertaining story with great depth and fun characters. I’m really enjoying this series and I’m already looking forward to reading the next book.

I loved Gabby and Joey. They are both so earnest and kind. Despite the fact they were both cheated on during their last relationships, they haven't let it skew their view on love and HEA.

There's a conversation between Gabby and her mom towards the end of the book that we only hear second hand when she recaps it for Joey. I would have liked to see that conversation as it happened.
