The Memory of Death

Rate this book
So, what if it is just a little memory loss? What do you expect for a 737-year-old man? In this case, it might be the difference between death and living a few more centuries. He is not a Highlander, but he is from Scotland though not originally. He started his career as an Assassin in the Middle Ages after the fall of Jerusalem. That's a long time NOT to remember, but since he doesn't remember it's a long time, then who cares?

It seems quite a few people care. His Brothers of his Holy Order of Knights from whence his semi-immortal state emanates, care enough to bring him back into the fold, dead or alive. The ruthless woman who wants the secret to his long life (a secret he can't remember or share even if he did remember) cares enough to kill him a few times. His friends and enemies, of whom he is unsure who are friends or who are foes, care enough to help him out in their own special ways. And last, but not least, his newfound love. She cares a great deal and wants to help him stay alive even if it kills her... or him... or both.

Torn between an uncertain but dangerous future as a fugitive with the woman he loves and a past full of suffering, war, bloodshed, and death, he is forced to make a decision that will echo in the past, stretch into the future and profoundly affect the here and now.

NOTE: The Memory of Death is a refined, revised, and renewed version of the first book in the Assassin Chronicles Saga first published in 2008.
